To speak with the Texas Governor and ask him to end the murder of children in Texas by criminalizing abortion in Texas. Governor Abbott called him and he told him that he will get his wish because he plans to work to criminalize, ban, end, and abolish abortion in Texas during the next legislative session.

We’re sure that you are all aware of the tragic and heartbreaking recent death of the precious little boy, Alfie Evans. We are grieved over the circumstances that led to his death. An out of control and godless State determined that Alfie’s life wasn’t worth preserving and fighting for and, against the wishes of his parents, the ruling was that Alfie was appointed to die. He was a little boy with a very serious illness. The Italian government had offered him citizenship and to receive care in their country. A helicopter was on standby and the Pope himself was involved with a plea for the preservation of this precious child’s life.

The State refused to back down and sanctioned the death of this little boy. Not only did they refuse to allow the parents to treat him in the way they wanted to (in an effort to fight for his life) but they literally had the doors of the hospital guarded so as to keep Alfie from being taken out of the hospital and out of the country to be able to fight for his life. They starved this little boy. He was tortured by the State. The decree was made that his life was not valuable enough to fight for and therefore it was determined that he should die.

Alfie died (after his father was called away for an unusual meeting with staff) after he received four injections.

How should we respond to such a thing? Is this the natural and logical end of socialized medicine and a State-run-health-care-system?

We are confident that many of you are aware of the conflict and conversation that has entered into the Christian community as of late concerning social justice and racial reconciliation. On the one hand, we have concerns that we have addressed in terms of how some have gone about bringing the conversation and in terms of some of the solutions offered. However, we are thrilled that many Christian leaders have entered into the discussion that many of us have been having for decades: true social justice.

We know that God is the sovereign and when something happens in His Kingdom and church it happens for a purpose. So we see the silver-lining here and we want to offer biblical and godly conversation that aims at listening to one another and seeks God’s voice in how to experience transformation and healing.

Does God have any concern for social justice in the New Covenant?

Does God’s Word tell us that we are to expect or pursue social justice in the New Covenant?

How do we address this issue without abandoning ourselves to the perverse social gospel of Protestant Liberalism?

There are those on the Left that reject the notion that human beings ought to be protected in the womb and seen as humans. There are those on our side that question whether or not this bill goes far enough. We had him on to discuss the bill.

Note: We believe that it is necessary to fight against abortion with a consistent Christian witness. We want legislation that criminalizes abortion and recognizes the image of God and humanity of every person from conception. We want legislation that is strong enough and consistent enough to enforce and that would give just penalties to anyone engaging in the practice. We see this bill as consistent in the area of recognizing the humanity of a person at conception and therefore is not in the same category of the failed legislation of the Pro-life community in terms of incrementalism (cleaner abortion facilities, heartbeat bills, pain capable, etc.).

This has effectively silenced him and his ministry.

He is known for his vitriol (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJDSriEhES8), his denigrating the gospel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pxj8y5ctmiE), his hatred for homosexuals (believing there is no salvation for them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsr52L4-v5g), his obscene behavior in the pulpit (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttxumEkHnKE), and for his denial of repentance and the lordship of Jesus Christ for salvation (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oETLpDOyRQM). He is also known for his King James Version “Onlyism”; believing that if someone can’t understand the english of the 1611 King James bible it is probably because they are not saved (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJrptikLjq8).

Recently, Anderson abused his congregation by speaking for some time about Pastor Jeff Durbin. In his comments, he bore false witness about Jeff showing that he spent no time investigating the man he was attempting to slander. He referred to Jeff as a “dog”, a “pervert”, and “drunkard”. There were plenty of resources available to Mr. Anderson at the time of his “sermon”. Jeff has multiple resources available that would have offered some course-correction and would have protected Mr. Anderson from guilt. Here are some for your reference:

Our hope and prayer before God is that Steven Anderson and his teaching would be exposed and that the people who follow him would be freed by the Biblical Gospel.

On this newest episode we review the tragic killing of Philando Castile. Many in our society are reeling from the recent news that Jeronimo Yanez, a St. Anthony, Minnesota, police officer was acquitted after shooting at Castile 7-times during a traffic stop with two other occupants (his girlfriend Diamond Reynolds and her 4-year old daughter). How should we, specifically as Christians, think through this tragedy?

Many in the black community are hurting. Many feel as if there are injustices that are not being addressed. Many feel as though there are double-standards applied in our society (one for police officers and one for regular citizens). How can we think about law, society, and justice in a way that is helpful and meaningful?

We are convinced of the power of the Gospel and the healing power of the Word of God. Our hope is to mourn with those who mourn and to begin speaking to our justice system in a prophetic way that begins a movement of transformation back to God’s Standards of justice in society. God says: “Streams of tears flow from my eyes, for your law is not obeyed. You are righteous, Lord, and your laws are right.The statutes you have laid down are righteous; they are fully trustworthy.”- Psalm 119:136-138

1. Racism is wicked. Hating another human because of the color of their sin in sinful and contradicts the Biblical Worldview.
2. The slave trade of the North and South was a sin and a crime punishable by death under Biblical Law.
3. There were racists and slave owners in both the North and the South.
4. Lincoln made awful statements about black people.
5. Lincoln made statements about slavery that call into question his true motivations about the Civil War and call into question the dominant narrative about the Civil War.
6. There were people in the South who wanted slavery (as in the North).
7. There were people in the South who were trying to end slavery (as in the North).
8. Men like General Robert E. Lee (from the South) wanted slavery to end and were grateful that it was abolished.
9. The situation was far more complicated than the popular and common narrative taught in government schools and in major media.
10. Many in the South fought to make it clear that they didn’t want slavery and the war was about unjust taxation and State’s rights.
11. The demolition of historic Confederate monuments is more emotionally based responses and not based upon a full understanding of the history.
12. The consequences of the Civil War have dramatically impacted our current system of government and have led directly to the overreach and control of the Federal government.
13. There were ways to end slavery without bloodshed and the loss of 650,000 lives (as was the case in other nations impacted by Christianity).

Popular Conservative commentator, Jesse Lee Peterson, had Jeff Durbin on his national radio program for the second time. This time Jeff and the crew joined him in his studio in Los Angeles. They spent time talking about abortion and #endabortionnow and then things (once again) took a turn toward cringe. It is apparent that Jesse holds to a very unbiblical view of sin and salvation and Jeff and Jesse scrap a bit.

We hope that it blesses you in some way. It’s a fantastic example of why learning exegesis and sound Biblical hermeneutics is so important. Jesse is all over the place and it is abundantly clear that he isn’t at all familiar with how we got our Bibles.

Strange thing is:

Jesse is known as Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson and is the pastor (of a church he founded).

If nothing else, this is at least entertaining.
