Muhō is a German-born Zen monk who was the abbot of Antai-ji, a Japanese Sōtō Zen temple from 2002 until 2020.
This is a conversation with my old friend Malcolm Stern for his podcast in which he asked me about facing the challenges of life. Malcolm wrote his latest book 'Slay Your Dragons With Compassion’ after the suicide of his daughter.
This is the 4th in a series of conversations with Dawn filmed for her youtube channel.
CC's Youtube Channel on the Dangers in Neo-Advaita and various forms on modern non-duality that negate the self. @ccvttc
Tim's third riveting conversation with a German Youtuber @ccvttc who spreads awareness about the dangers of Neo-Advaita. Together, they explore how self and world-negating non-dual spirituality is dangerously de-humanizing, and even delusional, while constructively deconstructing the core metaphysical beliefs in these ideologies. We're also invited to envision an optimistic "emergent" worldview that affirms not just the reality but the precious significance of all dimensions of the universe, including our both unified and individual, personal selves!
A conversation with German Youtuber ccvttc about the problems of Nonduality

I hope you enjoy this conversation. The Amish Inquisition Podcast hopes to explore some of the deepest mysteries of the human condition. What does it even mean to be human, if anything? Is there any purpose to this grand cosmic experiment we call The Universe? How can ancient wisdom, preserved for our benefit for thousands of years, enlighten us and how can we implement its teachings in the modern world?

Robert is a depth psychotherapist who had an interesting response to my previous episode in this series with Rupert Spira so I decided to connect. We discuss our mutual desire to be radically honest and explore our shared frustration with aspects of the 'spiritual’ world. In that spirit, Robert asked me to include this message from him with this video: "At one point, I mentioned a Rupert Spira video in which I said that Rupert had intimidated a questioner with false logic. I did see that. I went on to say that Rupert had left someone standing a microphone crying. About that, I am not sure. I may have seen that happening on a different video featuring a different spiritual teacher and conflated the two videos. If so, my sincere apologies." ---Robert Saltzman Robert Saltzman is a photographer and retired depth psychotherapist and the author of two books on the human experience of awakening, The Ten Thousand Things (2017) and Depending On No-Thing (2019). From an early age, Rupert Spira was deeply interested in the nature of reality and the source of lasting peace and happiness. He began to meditate at the age of seventeen and spent the next twenty years immersed in the teachings of classical Advaita Vedanta. In 1997 he met his teacher, Francis Lucille, who introduced him to the Direct Path approach of Atmananda Krishna Menon and the Tantric tradition of Kashmir Shaivism. More importantly, he indicated the means whereby one may recognise the source of lasting peace and happiness in oneself. Rupert lives in the United Kingdom. An appeal to the spiritual community to stop sharing memes about Coronavirus which are actually similar to the fundamentalist Christian response to AIDS Sense-making in the spiritual community is often faulty because it is common for spiritual people to reject rational thinking. We need to create a trans-scientific spirituality which can support us taking the next evolutionary jump.

In this inspirational talk, recorded in in the Bedouin Tent, London, philosopher Tim Freke explores what spiritual awakening is and how you can experience this life-changing shift in consciousness for yourself. Tim has written books about the great spiritual traditions of the world, showing that at their mystical heart they are all concerned with spiritual awakening. With his characteristic directness, astonishing clarity and playful humour, Tim shares his 21st approach to spirituality that encourages us to both open our hearts and think scientifically. Based on his book Deep Awake, he explores … - why spiritual awakening is the leading edge of 13.8 billion years of evolution! - how the awakened state is completely natural and available to all of us - why the ego is the hero not the villain of the spiritual journey - why popular spiritual teachings that urge us to reject the mind and detach from life are misguided - why our collective awakening is the key to political and social transformation Tim has been a spiritual explorer since a spontaneous awakening when he was 12 years old. He is a wonderful communicator with a contagious enthusiasm for life who can guide you directly to the ‘deep awake’ state. He is a pioneering philosopher whose work has touched the hearts and minds of hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.
