In the late 1800s, Tuklo practices shooting with her father, one of the Lighthorsemen. Despite wanting to be a lighthorseman, her father forbids this because she is a woman. Tuklo's father rides out to confront some local criminals while Tuklo braids her hair like a Choctaw warrior. She receives a vision of Chafa and Lowak, and her hands begin to glow. The criminals ambush Tuklo's father, but she hears the attack and arrives in time to save him and his group.

Skully is visited by Chula, who encourages her to reach out to Maya, so that she doesn’t lose her granddaughter. 

Elsewhere in Tamaha, Maya receives a sudden vision of Chafa, Lowak and Tuklo, a warning, but is ambushed and captured by Vickie. Vickie and his associates Bridgitte and Grace, hold both Maya and Henry hostage at Henry's bowling alley, having tipped off Zane about Maya's location. 

As they wait to hand Maya over to Zane and retrieve the bounty reward they also have to subdue and capture Bonnie after she shows up to ask Henry about the rumours that Maya has returned home. 

Bonnie is held with Maya and the two of them awkwardly confront each other's absence from their lives as they seek an escape plan from their predicament. Zane arrives for Maya, betraying and killing Vickie. Before he is able to get hold of Maya she escapes and attacks Zane's men, but she fails to get the upper hand as Zane threatens Bonnie and Henry. As he holds Maya at gunpoint, preparing to shoot her and Henry, he receives a phone call, prompting Zane and his men to leave. 

Maya sends Bonnie away, promising to reconcile with her later, but learns from Henry the shocking revelation that Fisk is still alive. Henry takes up Maya’s previous offer and promises to help her in her war with Fisk, while Skully gives Maya a new prosthetic and a new look for her prosthetic. As Maya returns home, her one eyed nightmare, Fisk, confronts her.

In Alabama in 1200 AD, Lowak is participating in a game of Choctaw Stickball, or Ishtaboli. When Lowak's team is close to winning, the opposing side sends out a formidable warrior who helps to even the score. Lowak is desperate to avoid exile for her team if they should lose, and receives a vision during an intense melee. With her hands glowing, Lowak breaks out of the melee with the ball, and secures victory.

Back in Tamaha, Oklahoma, Maya enlists Biscuits' help in hijacking a cargo train guarded by Fisk's men. She locates a munitions container, and plants a homemade bomb inside one of the crates. As she attempts to get off, her prosthetic leg becomes stuck in a coupling. Maya receives a vision of her ancestors, then manages to push the coupling off to free her leg after her hands begin to glow. 

The shipment arrives at one of Fisk's armouries in New York. Zane dispatches men to unload the crate, triggering Maya's bomb which destroys the facility. Maya later gets a new prosthetic leg from Skully, who reveals that one of the women in Maya's vision was Chafa, the first Choctaw. 

Henry learns about the munitions explosion and later confronts Maya, warning her to stop these attacks before she ends up hurting people close to her. Meanwhile, Chula receives word that Maya is in town, and Bonnie learns of Maya's return in Tamaha from Biscuits, but Maya refuses to interact with either of them.

After losing her leg and her mother in a car accident, Maya Lopez moves to New York City with her father William who has been shunned by her grandmother who blames his criminal ways for the death of her daughter. 

William takes up a position as commander of the Tracksuit Mafia, working under Wilson Fisk, who becomes Maya's adoptive uncle. 

Years later, Maya witnesses Clint Barton assault the Tracksuit Mafia and kill William. Fisk arranges for Maya to work under him while promising to find William's killer. Sometime later, Maya would encounter Barton again, who reveals that Fisk was the one who arranged for William's death. Maya ultimately avenges her father by shooting Fisk in the face at point blank range..

Five months later, Maya with a bounty on her head and on the run for shooting Fisk returns wounded to her hometown, Tamaha, Oklahoma. She meets with her uncle, Henry. Maya asks Henry to help her dismantle Fisk's operations so she can take over his empire and become the Queenpin, but Henry refuses to assist and bring death to the people he loves. Elsewhere, Fisk recovers from his injury in a hospital.

After meeting her in 1602, Strange Supreme takes Captain Carter to his Sanctum Infinitum, where he reveals that he has been capturing "universe-killers'' to atone for his sins, and asks for her help in capturing one who fled to a universe where Hydra used the Tesseract to destroy the world. 

Carter agrees and encounters Kahhori, who reveals that Strange has been capturing both universe killers as well as righteous heroes to feed to “the Forge”, a contraption he built to resurrect his lost universe and bring back the love of his life Christine Palmer. 

As Strange attempts to kill Kahhori, Captain Carter frees all his captives, allowing her and Kahhori to escape and find the Forge to destroy it. Amidst the chaos, the pair encounter Black Panther Killmonger, who Kahhori separates from his infinity armor, allowing Carter to use it along with the infinity stones to even the odds against Strange. 

At the Forge the pair battle Strange, as he tries to feed it with the collective powers of the superheroes and supervillains, they send their weapons to Captain Carter to use against Strange, while Kahhori sends them to their home realities. Strange is taken over by his demonic self, becoming Demon Strange and while Carter separates them, they reabsorb into and take over Strange’s body once again. 

As the Forge collapses, Strange sacrifices himself and his counterpart to it. The Watcher returns Kahhori home and brings Carter to Strange's restored universe, revealing he succeeded in resurrecting Christine Palmer, though he can never be reborn into it. 

Carter asks the Watcher to show her the many wonders of the multiverse before taking her home.

After arriving in 1602, an Elizibethan era universe, Captain Carter agrees to help Wanda Merlin and Sir Nicholas Fury stop an impending incursion. As a tear in space opens over the Globe theatre, she saves Prince Hamlet aka Prince Loki from being pulled into the tear, but fails to save Queen Hela. The loss of the queen enrages her successor the new King Thor Odinson who orders Sir Harold "The Happy" Hogan to hunt the outlaw Carter.

Carter learns from The Watcher that the incursion is occurring due to the presence of the Forerunner, another time-displaced individual, and locates Tony Stark, who can make a device to identify the Forerunner using the Time Stone in Thor's sceptre. He points her towards outlaws Steve Hood and his band of merrymen, Bucky Barnes, and Scott Lang to help steal it. 

Carter finds the group, but they are ambushed by Hogan. Carter gives herself up before freeing herself and enraging an Iron Masked Bruce Banner. They meet with Stark and join Rogers' group in infiltrating Thor's court. With Wanda's help, the group retrieves the Time Stone for Stark's device.

Managing to activate the device it identifies Rogers as the Forerunner, who had inadvertently created the temporal anomaly while battling Thanos. Carter bids farewell to Rogers and returns him to his universe, preventing the incursion.

Left and isolated in 1602 Peggy Carter is joined in a local pub by an unexpected friend and ally, Dr Stephen Strange Supreme.

Growing weary of Hela's bloodlust in the Nine Realms, Odin banishes her to Earth and strips her powers by destroying Mjolnir and placing an enchantment on her crown. Hela lands in medieval China and is confronted by the armies of Xu Wenwu. 

She attempts to retrieve the crown but fails. Wenwu keeps Hela alive and tries to recruit her to his army, but she escapes after failing to steal his Ten Rings. She is guided by a Hundun to the realm of Ta Lo, where she convinces their leader, Jiayi, to let her join their cause. Jiayi teaches Hela martial arts after she recognizes her true desire for freedom from control. 

After Heimdall reports his failure to locate Hela, Odin visits Earth to battle Wenwu in retaliation. Hela joins Wenwu in fighting against Odin, ultimately winning and regaining her worthiness to wield her crown. 

Odin recognizes Hela's growth and submits Asgard's throne to her. Hela unites the armies of Asgard and Wenwu's Ten Rings organization and embarks on a journey to ensure freedom across the Nine Realms and beyond, coming to the rescue of Gamora's people as Thanos attacks them.

After Surtur destroys Asgard during Ragnarok, the Tesseract crash-lands in the Haudenosaunee Confederacy in pre-colonial America. The Tesseract falls into a lake, releasing the energy of the Space Stone into it, giving it magical properties. 

In the late 15th century, a young Mohawk woman, Kahhori, and her brother Wáhta are hunted by Spanish Conquistadors led by Rodrigo Alphonso Gonzolo, who have ransacked their village in search of the Fountain of Youth. The Conquistadors chase them into a cave, where they capture Wáhta and shoot Kahhori, causing her to fall into a lake. 

The Space Stone, located at the bottom of the lake, creates a portal and teleports Kahhori to another dimension, where she is nursed back to health by fellow Mohawk people. One of the villagers, Atahraks, explains that people who interact with the lake are teleported to the "Sky World", where they gain powers and become immortal, but are unable to return to their home. Kahhori stays and becomes acquainted with the Sky World villagers while also familiarizing herself with her new powers. 

Eventually, Gonzolo dispatches men into the lake, believing it to be the Fountain of Youth. The Conquistadors are teleported to the Sky World, where they attempt to attack the villagers but are stopped by Kahhori, who forces the portal in the sky to the ground and returns to her home to rescue her people from the Conquistadors. She is later joined by the Sky World villagers, who help her defeat the Conquistadors and rescue her people. 

Sometime after, Kahhori and the Sky World villagers force Queen Isabella of Spain to make peace with the Mohawk people. Doctor Strange Supreme appears from a portal and congratulates Kahhori for causing "world peace", saying that he has been looking for her for a long time.

Following a mission to retake the Lemurian Star, Captain Peggy Carter and Natasha Romanoff find a still-alive Steve Rogers inside the Hydra Stomper armor. Rogers attacks them both before destroying the vessel. 

A briefing with Nick Fury leads Romanoff to deduce that Rogers, who went missing in 1953, was brainwashed by agents of the Red Room. Carter and Romanoff help Brock Rumlow protect Bucky Barnes, who is Rogers' next target, before incapacitating Rogers and traveling to a secret hideout in Scotland. 

Attempts to reboot the suit fail as it is keeping Rogers alive, though each activation reduces chances of survival. Rogers then offers to help Carter take down the Red Room in hopes of finding a cure before escorting her and Romanoff to a former KGB test site. The three survive an ambush by various automated drones before Rogers' brainwashing is reactivated by Melina Vostokoff, who admits to staging the earlier events. 

Carter battles Rogers while Romanoff fends off Vostokoff's Black Widows. After Carter pleads with him to stop fighting, Rogers flies towards the Red Room and destroys it in spite of her protests. Noticing Rogers move, Romanoff fires her grappling hook to latch onto him and ties it to Vostokoff, who dies in the explosion.

Sometime later, Carter, convinced Rogers is still alive, decides to find him. As she bids Romanoff farewell, a portal opens beneath Carter's feet and transports her to another universe, where she encounters medieval-era variants of Fury and Wanda Maximoff.

In 2012, Tony Stark saves New York by redirecting a nuclear missile towards the Chitauri mothership, but the wormhole closes before he can return to Earth. Stark crash-lands on Sakaar and is forced to stay by its ruler, the Grandmaster. 

Tony interferes in a death race to save one of the racers, Korg, and encounters Gamora, who was sent by Thanos to kill Stark for stopping the Chitauri. The Grandmaster's chief enforcer, Topaz, imprisons Gamora and Stark. Stark escapes, but upon learning of Gamora's purpose, decides to save Sakaar from the Grandmaster. 

Tony recruits Korg and Valkyrie, builds a new Iron Man suit and challenges the Grandmaster to a race for the title of Sakaar's ruler. The Grandmaster uses numerous cheating methods, but Stark ultimately wins the race. 

Valkyrie crashes into Topaz to save Stark's life, causing her staff to hit and melt the Grandmaster. After Valkyrie is crowned king of Sakaar, Stark joins Gamora in confronting Thanos. 

Having been convinced by Iron Man to forge her own path rather than live in her father's shadow, Gamora kills him with Topaz's staff. In a mid-credits scene, the still-alive Grandmaster begs Topaz to collect his puddle form.

One small change can ruin the holidays!

On Christmas Eve, Happy Hogan is assigned to oversee preparations for the annual Christmas party with Darcy as well as security in the Avengers Tower, along with Director Maria Hill after Jarvis has been taken offline for debugging. But the annual holiday party is crashed by Justin Hammer and his henchmen Sergei and Rusty who lay siege to the Tower for Tony Stark's technology and Bruce Banner's Hulk blood sample.

Attempting to save the Hulk blood sample, Hogan, working with Maria Hill and Darcy under the call sign “Puffin-2”, is accidentally injected with it, causing him to slowly transform into a purple Hulk-like monster, though he manages to retain his intelligence. 

With the Avengers busy with the festive engagements and J.A.R.V.I.S. inactive, Hogan contacts Darcy, who is tasked to find an A.I. to reboot the Tower's system; but Darcy and Maria Hill are captured by Hammer, Sergei, and hold them hostage in the penthouse to lure Hogan into the open. A fully transformed Hogan confronts him and destroys the hijacked Iron Legion robots. 

Justin Hammer takes control of Stark's Hulkbuster armor, Veronica. As Hogan battles Hammer the Avengers arrive who mistake him as the aggressor until corrected by Darcy and Hill. With Hammer subdued by Hulk Hogan, Tony Stark deactivates Veronica and Hammer is taken into custody. Hogan is praised for his efforts as he and the Avengers resume their Christmas party before Thor arrives and wonders what he missed.

In 1988, Yondu takes Peter Quill to Ego, who urges him to help his expansion across the universe. 

Six months later, after ravaging several worlds, Quill returns to Earth. In response, Peggy Carter and Howard Stark assemble a team composed of Bill Foster, King T'Chaka of Wakanda, Bucky Barnes, Dr. Wendy Lawson, and a reluctant Hank Pym, who brings his daughter Hope van Dyne along. 

After a scuffle on Coney Island, the team detains Quill with help from Thor. As the team discusses their next move, Van Dyne connects with Quill over music and realises that he returned to earth to come home. Hope frees Quill, who travels to Missouri. Meanwhile T'Chaka, Foster and Thor aid Carter's forces holding back Ego, who has travelled to earth to continue his Expansion. Meanwhile, Pym and Lawson encounter Quill visiting his mother's grave, and a sympathetic Pym convinces him to stand against his father. 

The Winter Soldier —under the influence of his Russian handler —prepares to assassinate Quill until Stark reminds him of his best friend, Steve Rogers. Just as Ego overwhelms the heroes and attempts to obtain his seed, Pym and Quill arrive in time to stop him, with Quill using the cosmic energy of the Celestial seedling to destroy Ego's avatar form. 

The team, minus Bucky Barnes, celebrates their victory before setting out to confront Ego's planetary form.

Nova Prime recruits Nebula to join the Nova Corps following Ronan the Accuser's successful coup against Thanos. 

Five years later, after Xandar is sealed off from the universe to protect itself from Ronan's forces, Nebula discovers the body of Yondu Udonta and receives orders from Nova Prime to investigate. She learns that Yondu located the codes to open the planetary shield and enlists Kree soldier Yon-Rogg to infiltrate the Nova Corps mainframe to destroy them. 

Yon-Rogg betrays her, revealing that he and Nova Prime plan to give up Xandar to Ronan. Nebula survives an execution attempt by Nova Prime's men, subsequently enlisting casino owner Howard the Duck and his subordinates Groot and Korg to stop Nova Prime. 

During their fight, Nebula reveals she realized Nova Prime's defection when she assigned the mission to her and altered the code so that the shield would close again as the Dark Aster enters Xandar, destroying the ship and killing Ronan. 

Nova Prime tries to escape but ultimately falls to her death. The shield reopens as Nebula prepares to continue defending Xandar.

We're back in the cinema for the 34th MCU movie The Marvels. The funny and action filled team up between Captain Marvel, Ms Marvel and Photon.

Synopsis for our The Marvels 2023 Review

The collapse of the Supreme Intelligence leads to a civil war among the Kree species in their home world of Hala. The conflict renders the planet barren as it loses its air, water, and their sun begins to die.

Dar-Benn, the new leader of the Kree, retrieves one half of the Quantum Bands, of which Kamala Khan has the other half. Dar-Benn harnesses the power of the Band, and pairs it with her staff, Universal Weapon, to tear apart a jump point in space with the aim of stripping the resources required from planets linked to The Annihilator, aka Carol Danvers, to repair her home world of Hala. The resulting anomaly is discovered by the Strategic Aerospace, Biophysics and Exolinguistic Response or S.A.B.E.R.

Meanwhile, Nick Fury, now residing at the S.A.B.E.R. space station calls in Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau to investigate a jump point anomaly near the space station. When Rambeau touches it, she, Danvers, and Khan switch places through teleportation. The switching causes the three to fight each others' Kree enemies, leaving the Khans' house destroyed in their wake.

As the three women return to their original places, Fury and Rambeau visit Khan on Earth. As Khan eagerly demonstrates her powers, she switches places with Danvers. The group surmises that the light-based powers of Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau, and Ms Marvel are linked through quantum entanglement, and that they switch places when any of them use their powers at the same time.

The three join up at a Skrull refugee colony on the planet Tarnax, where talks of resettlement have dissolved. Dar-Benn rips open another jump point, which siphons the atmosphere of Tarnax into Hala to try and restore its air. After a hasty effort to evacuate the colony, Danvers, Rambeau, and Kamala form a team informally referred to by Kamala as "the Marvels". 

Danvers informs the others of the legend that the Quantum Bands had been used to create the jump point transportation network; the three became entangled due to their mutual contact with its energy when Dar-Benn disrupted it, with Dar-Benn's repeated rupturing of jump points causing instability to the network and endangering the universe.

Dar-Benn reaches the planet Aladna, where she tears open a jump point to draw the ocean water into Hala. Her final plan is to take the energy of Earth's sun to restore that of Hala. The Marvels fight and subdue Dar-Benn, but she steals Kamala's Band and uses both bracelets in conjunction to tear open another hole in space. The effort in doing so destroys Dar-Benn and leaves behind an opening into the multiverse. 

After Khan reclaims the Bands, she and Danvers use their combined powers to energize Rambeau, allowing her to close the hole from the other side, but leaving her stranded in the process in the other universe. Danvers flies into Hala's sun and uses her power to restore it.

The short-lived team-up with Danvers and Rambeau inspires Kamala to seek out other heroes and form a new group, starting with Kate Bishop. 

In a mid-credits scene, Monica Rambeau awakes in a parallel universe where she is greeted by an alternate version of her mother Maria (Binary) and the mutant Hank McCoy aka Beast of The X-Men.

Loki time slips to the moment before the Temporal Loom's explosion. Despite his attempts, the Loom always fails as it cannot scale up to accommodate the infinite branches. 

Loki slips again, this time to the moment before Sylvie kills He Who Remains, who tells Loki that the Loom is a fail-safe; overloading it protects the Sacred Timeline by deleting the branches along with the TVA. 

Loki tries to stop Sylvie from killing He Who Remains over and over again but to no avail. As he attempts to stop Sylvie again, He Who Remains freezes her and tells Loki there is only one way to save the Loom is to kill Sylvie, which Loki rejects. 

After speaking with Mobius and Sylvie at different moments in time, Loki replaces Victor Timely and goes out into the temporal radiation to destroy the Loom. As the timelines begin to wither Loki uses his magic to revive the dying timelines. Pulling the branches together as he makes his way to He Who Remains’ throne, he arranges them into a branching structure resembling the Worlds Tree. Sitting atop of time on the throne of He Who Remains he commits himself to overseeing the branches in solitude at the End of Time. 

The TVA accepts the growing branches and now tracks He Who Remains' variants, with Mobius reporting one of them has been stopped at Earth-616's "adjacent realm". B-15 becomes one of the TVA's leaders. Ouroboros reactivates a now-friendly Miss Minutes and writes a new TVA Guidebook with Timely as co-author. 

In 1863, Victor Timely does not receive the TVA Guidebook. Renslayer awakens in the Void and encounters Alioth. Mobius retires from the TVA. He meets Sylvie at his home and observe Don and his children for a few moments. As Sylvie leaves him behind, Mobius says he’s going to stay a little while longer.

We've reached the penultimate episode the season as we discuss Loki 205 Science/Fiction. A bit of a roundabout episode and set up for the finale but with some absolutely beautiful moments. Derek and John chat all about it in Spoiler Filled detail.

In the aftermath of the destruction of the Temporal Loom, Loki is left alone in the TVA headquarters as everyone else has vanished. As he explores the building trying to locate any of his friends he begins time slipping again where he meets a later version of himself, as the TVA headquarters, now with a failsafe initiated by a rudimentary Miss Minutes, begins to break down and spaghettify around him. 

Loki escapes as he time slips to numerous branched timelines at different times where one by one he meets his former friends Casey, Hunter B-15, Mobius and O.B. who have been reset to their original lives as Frank Morris, Dr. Verity Willis, Don and Dr. A.D. Doug respectively. But none of them have any knowledge of the TVA nor any recollection of Loki.

But Dr A. D Doug aka O.B does believe his story and is willing to help Loki time slip to the TVA before the explosion to try and prevent the catastrophic events from happening. But Loki is unable to control his time slipping. Doug proposes Loki gather everyone present at the explosion back together. He theorises that their collective temporal aura may hold the key to sending them back to the right time and place. Doug builds a rudimentary TemPad using a TVA Guidebook that Loki kept. 

Loki succeeds in gathering everyone else to Doug's workshop except Sylvie, who has retained her memories. At a bar over a couple of bourbons, Sylvie refuses to help Loki, as she just wants to live her own life, and she gets Loki to admit his true motivation: he wants his friends back and fears being alone. Sylvie leaves the bar heading to her local record shop as Loki heads back to inform Doug, Don, Frank and Verity that they are no longer needed. 

But when everything in Sylvie's timeline begins to spaghettify, she goes to help Loki, but no sooner there, Doug's workshop also spaghettifies as the branched timelines begin to die, as do Frank, Doug, Don, Dr Willis and Sylvie. 

As Sylvie disappears Loki finally controls his time-slipping, returning to the point she arrived. Declaring that he can "rewrite the story", Loki focuses on what he really wants and time slips back to the TVA Headquarters at the point just before Victor Timely disappeared.

Miss Minutes reveals her big secret to Ravona Renslayer. In the past, Renslayer commanded He Who Remains' army; he proposed that Renslayer lead the TVA with him, then had Miss Minutes erase the memories of Renslayer and all other TVA employees. 

Back at the TVA, as the Temporal Loom reaches catastrophic failure, Loki and his allies attempt to use Victor Timely and O.B's Throughput Multiplier to fix it. It is revealed that the sources of OB's and Timely’s knowledge are each other, creating a predestination paradox. 

Renslayer and Miss Minutes attempt to take over the TVA, approaching the detained X-5, Dox and her loyalist Minutemen for help. Only X-5 agrees; Dox and her loyalists instead choose to be crushed to death by a gleeful Miss Minutes. 

As he’s investigating a hot cocoa machine with Hunter D-90 as protection, X-5 prunes his guard and kidnaps Victor Timely, taking him back to Renslayer and Miss Minutes. While staging a rescue, Sylvie and Loki encounter his time-slipping past self; Loki prunes his past self, telling Sylvie she’ll understand. 

To prevent her from taking full control of all tem-pads and the TVA itself, OB resets the system deactivating Miss Minutes and the TVA's magic-suppressing devices. While Loki distracts X-5, Sylvie uses her magic to enchant him, forcing him to prune Ravona Renslayer. 

Timely is rescued and is able to restore access to the Temporal Loom, but the Loom's increased temporal radiation spaghettifies him before he can launch the Throughput Multiplier. The Temporal Loom explodes, with the blast wave spreading towards Loki, Mobius, Sylvie, B-15, Casey, and OB in the TVA.

86 years B.McD. (before McDonald's) in the year 1868, Ravona Renslayer arrives in Chicago looking for Miss Minutes. Ravona is instructed to deliver a package into a window to complete He Who Remains plan to safeguard the timeline. Inside a young boy opens the package and reveals the TVA handbook.

Trying to locate Renslayer, Loki and Mobius travel to 1868, but unable to locate her they travel to a new branched timeline in 1893. The new branch was created by Miss Minutes interference in 1868. They quickly locate a confidence trickster called Victor Timely who is advertising a way to harness time, through his Temporal Loom prototype.

Victor sells his fake invention scam to an investor named Robber Barron, but soon has four interested parties after him. Loki and Mobius, need his aura to fix the Loom; while Renslayer and Miss Minutes, want him to take his variant's place with them at his side; while Sylvie has arrived to kill him to prevent his rise to power but is thwarted by Loki; and Robber Baron wants his money back. 

Victor manages to escape most of his suitors, as he takes a boat to his Wisconsin laboratory with Miss Minutes and Renslayer, but Renslayer is sent overboard in a lifeboat on the advice of Miss Minutes after she looks for a partnership with Victor. But Miss Minutes fairs little better after she professes romantic love for him and is deactivated by Victor using a TemPad. 

Victor is not alone for long as Renslayer, Loki, Mobius, and Sylvie arrive at his laboratory. Sylvie gains control of the situation threatening Victor with her blade but allows Loki to take Victor back to the TVA, then sends Renslayer to the Citadel at the End of Time.

Looking upon He Who Remains' corpse, Renslayer activates Miss Minutes, who divulges that she knows a secret about Renslayer that He Who Remains has been keeping from her.

Loki, Mobius, and Hunter B-15 find and capture Hunter X-5 in London, 1977 on the Sacred Timeline, where he lives as film actor Brad Wolfe. Under interrogation, he admits to abandoning Dox's mission and reveals Sylvie's location. 

The group travel to Oklahoma and find her working in a McDonald's. Loki tries to remind her of their last encounter in the TVA's future, but she refuses to involve herself with the organization. 

Meanwhile, O.B. attempts to repair the Loom to safely accommodate the branching timelines, but discovers he cannot access it without help from the rogue Miss Minutes, who they discover has been working with Renslayer, or the deceased He Who Remains' aura. 

After Wolfe gets increasingly agitated sat with Mobius in the McDonald's, he proclaims the group is in mortal danger, Sylvie enchants him, forcing him to reveal Dox's plan to simultaneously destroy the branching timelines. 

After returning Wolfe to custody, Loki, Mobius, and Sylvie capture Dox, but she has largely succeeded and most of her allies have escaped. As TVA receptionist Casey tracks the rogue Ravonna Renslayer's TemPad on one of the remaining branching timelines, Sylvie, refusing to be involved any further, returns to McDonald's with He Who Remains's TemPad in her possession.

Loki discovers that he is uncontrollably warping across time in the Time Variance Authority (TVA) headquarters. In the past, Mobius M. Mobius and Hunter B-15 don’t recognise Loki and the TVA attempts to apprehend Loki. In the present, Loki reunites with Mobius and warns him of the threat of the many variants of He Who Remains, the TVA's creator. 

Still warping between different times, Loki and Mobius go to meet the TVA technician Ouroboros "O. B.", who deduces that Loki is "time slipping", a phenomenon possibly caused by the instability of the timeline branches caused by the death of He Who Remains. 

To stop Loki's time slipping, O. B. instructs Mobius to approach the Temporal Loom with the Temporal Aura Extractor device to extract Loki from the time stream as Loki prunes himself. The endeavor is filled with risk as Mobius realises that his skin could be flayed from his body, while Loki could be turned into spaghetti and lost to time.

Loki time slips to the future, where he briefly encounters Sylvie before he is pruned by someone at the last possible second. In addition, Loki discovers that the Temporal Loom will go critical in the future. Mobius successfully pulls Loki from the time stream, and the two of them set out to find Sylvie, just as many TVA hunters are ordered by General Dox to search for her. 

In a mid-credit scene, Sylvie enters a branched timeline in Broxton, Oklahoma in 1982, and visits a McDonald's restaurant where she wants to try everything.

Fury confronts Gravik at New Skrullos. He gives him the Harvest and in exchange asks that he spare Earth and conquer any other planet. Gravik refuses before using the Harvest vial to empower himself further with superpowers and attempt to kill Fury in the process. Only he learns that The Nick Fury he has met with is a disguised G'iah, ready to get revenge on him for the murder of her parents. She has also received the power of the Avengers from the Harvest, and the two fight, using the various powers of many superpowered beings incorporated into their DNA. G'iah eventually succeeds in killing Gravik with a cosmic beam to his torso.

Meanwhile, Raava, in the form of Colonel Rhodes successfully convinces Ritson to authorise a nuclear strike on New Skrullos, but is tricked by Sonia Falsworth into arranging for Ritson's evacuation from the hospital and into a stand-off with the real Nick Fury. Raava attempts to retaliate, but is killed by Fury.

President Ritson calls off the strike, allowing G'iah to free Gravik's human prisoners, including many world leaders, Everett Ross and the real Colonel Rhodes. But in the aftermath, Ritson gives a hateful speech against the Skrulls and issues a new bill declaring all off-world species as hostile forces. He threatens to hunt down the remaining Skrulls on Earth, causing unrest as civilians publicly murder various high-profile officials for fear that they are Skrulls.

Meanwhile, Sonia Falsworth meets with G'iah and proposes a partnership to protect the Skrulls against Ritson's bill. While, after cautioning President Ritson about the unrest he caused, Fury asks Varra to come to S.A.B.E.R. with him to help negotiate on behalf of the Skrulls at a peace summit with the Kree. She agrees and they leave Earth together.

Following the murder of Talos, Fury brings US President Ritson to the hospital. He tries to guard him but Rhodey and his team arrives to take over. He drives Fury away by releasing a video showing him killing former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill.

Fury returns to his hideout in Brixton where he meets G’iah. She’s looking to bury her father so Fury sends her to his home where his wife Priscilla will take care of the ceremony. He explains that Talos didn’t lose, he chose the path of struggle but now it’s her time. And with her new powers she can take on Gravik. But he needs to go to Finland.

Meanwhile Gravik’s plan hasn’t worked out the way he wanted to. When Pagon challenges him he’s killed and Gravik tells the rest of his lieutenants they have no voice and shouldn’t question his plans. They attempt to overthrow Gravik but with his own Super Skrull abilities he kills them all.

Gravik reaches out to Skrull Rodey to enact a new plan. He is to convince the US President to destroy New Skrullos dropping bombs in Russia. But it’s a ruse to convince Fury to hand over the DNA of all of earth’s mightiest heroes to him. He also sends his troops to execute Priscilla for her failure to murder Fury.

After giving her father a traditional Skrull send off, G’iah helps Priscilla survive the attack on her life and Priscilla drops her off to her next mission.

Following a plane ride to Finland, piloted by the ever resourceful smuggler Rick Mason, Fury reunites with Sonya Folsworth. She learns Rodey is a Skrull aligned with Gravik and that Fury’s personal connection to the Skrulls means he doesn’t want any innocent members of their species to die.

He retrieves the vial from his grave and all of his equipment telling Sonya he’s going to trade with Gravik to save the planet. He makes one final call and tells his contact “It’s Time! Let’s finish this''.

G'iah recovers from her wound, having previously used Gravik's machine to empower herself with Extremis DNA and she reunites with Talos, who reveals that he plans to ask the United States President, Ritson, to help the Skrulls after they successfully stop the rebels. She thinks that peace on earth between Skrulls and humans is delusional and tells her father she has changed as she walks away. 

Elsewhere, Priscilla meets with Rhodes, who is revealed to be a disguised Skrull. He instructs her to kill Fury, though both of them are unaware that Fury is listening in on their conversation. 

Fury later confronts Priscilla over her allegiance, but they make amends after she reveals she took an oath to her human counterpart to never harm her lover. Fury breaks into his hotel room under the ruse to iron things out between him and “Rhodey” and the two share a drink, which unknown to Rhodes contains a liquid tracker. Fury and Talos then follow him as he goes to pick up President Ritson.

Gravik and the Skrull rebels attack Ritson's convoy under the guise of Russian terrorists. With the aid of the British Army, Fury and Talos extract an unconscious Ritson, but Talos is wounded in the process. A British soldier helps the injured Talos to Fury’s car. Fury becomes suspicious of the soldier as he turns into Gravik who stabs Talos, killing Fury’s friend right in front him.

Gravik reveals to the Skrull Council that he intends to create Super Skrulls using the collected foreign DNA, and that he has sent some of the rebels to infiltrate the Royal Navy in order to launch missiles at a United Nations aircraft. Gravik later meets with Talos to negotiate a parlay, but discussion breaks down when Gravik threatens to kill Talos's daughter G'iah.

But G'iah secretly sends Talos information about the attack, while Fury meets with him and pleads to work together again. Fury contacts Sonia Falsworth and learns the name of the Naval Command Headquarters' officer in charge, Commodore Robert Fairbanks.

Fury and Talos arrive at his home and interrogate Bob Fairbanks, but the Commodore provokes Talos to kill him. With the clock ticking Talos contacts his undercover daughter to retrieve Fairbanks' authorization code from his real body, allowing them to abort the launch in just in time.

G'iah attempts to run away, but is spotted by Gravik, who reveals his plan hasn’t failed he had always intended to find the mole within his organisation. With G’iah revealed as the betrayer, Gravik shoots and kills her.

Meanwhile, Fury’s wife, Priscilla secretly receives a call from an unknown person and after retrieving a weapon from a secure location she’s given a mission from a recognisable voice on the phone. She asks to speak to Gravik, but the voice denies her request.

Former CIA agent Everett Ross meets a contact, Agent Prescod, in Moscow, where Prescod shares his theory that multiple coordinated terrorist attacks point to an infiltration of a secret force of shape shifting Skrulls across the planet.

Ross kills the operative and escapes with the information. When he realises he's being pursued he calls Maria Hill for an extraction. But as the pursuit intensifies, Everett Ross falls to his death in front of Maria. But as his body transforms to its original Skrull form, his pursuer reveals himself as Nick Fury's close Skrull friend Talos.

Nick Fury returns to earth from his mission setting up the planet's defence system S.A.B.E.R. Talos tells him all about the new Skrull threat, a young Skrull Gravik, disillusioned by Nick Fury's failure to provide the Skrull refugees with a new home. His methods to build a new Skrull homeland on earth are extreme and violent with the intention to start a war between countries. Gravik has been calling other Skrulls to his cause at his base, New Skrullos, in an abandoned nuclear facility where he is planning his next strike against Moscow.

Using his contact in MI6, Sonya Falsworth, Nick learns of a bomb maker in Moscow who is working with the Skrulls. Fury and Talos confront the bomb maker and learn of the plot to set up three explosions around a central square in Moscow which will plunge the planet into another Cold War.

Talos meets his daughter G'iah who has joined the renegade Skrull forces under the leadership of Gravik. He pleads with his daughter to help Fury stop the bomb and G'iah agrees to mark the bombs so they can be tracked.

Fury, Maria Hill and Talos converge on the bombers thanks, seemingly to the tracers placed by G'iah, but their backpacks are empty. As the bombs go off and chaos erupts, Maria is shot by a Skrull who takes the face of Nick Fury to trap her. Searching for her murderer Fury is faced by Gravick as he makes his escape.

Sixteen months after the destruction of the Alchemax collider and back on Earth-65 Gwen Stacy is struggling to live up to the expectations of her father, who does not know she is Spider-Woman and is hunting her in revenge because of his belief that she caused this universe's Peter Parker's death.

One night, after hearing about a possible intruder in the Guggenheim Museum, she heads over to confront the threat, only to run into a Renaissance-themed Vulture that comes from an alternate universe. She is helped by Miguel O'Hara and Jessica Drew, who arrive through portals and subdue Vulture. In the aftermath, Gwen reveals herself to her father, who is distraught and attempts to arrest her. Drew suggests to a reluctant O'Hara that Gwen join the "Spider-Society," to which he begrudgingly accepts.

Back on Earth-1610, in Brooklyn, Miles Morales is adapting to being Spider-Man as well as struggling to live up to his parents' expectations while missing Gwen. On the day of his evaluation at school with his parents, he visits a convenience store where he encounters the low-level villain The Spot, a scientist who got infused with portals on his body in the aftermath of the explosion of the collider at Alchemax. After a brief fight, Miles subdues The Spot.

But The Spot, who is being surveilled by Gwen, is not all that he appears as he blames Miles for his creation. He brings Miles to Alchemax, where he transports himself into a void and begins using his portals to travel to other universes with the Alchemax collider becoming more and more powerful as he states his aim to take revenge on his nemesis Miles Morales.

While on Earth-1610 Gwen sees Miles but tracking The Spot is instructed that Miles can’t travel with them to capture The Spot. They take a portal back to Earth-928 where they lead the Spider Society to continue their investigation. But unbeknownst to them, Miles follows them into the portal and ends up in Mumbattan on Earth-50101, they encounter Pavitr Prabhakar / Spider-Man India and Hobie Brown / Spider-Punk before confronting The Spot in the Alchemax collider who successfully absorbs the device's power before escaping.

Mumbattan begins falling apart from the disruption of a "canon event" after Miles saves a captain, who turns out to be Prabhakar's girlfriend's father. At the headquarters on Earth-928, where hundreds of Spider-Man variants reside Miguel O'Hara, tells Miles that he is risking the destruction of the multiverse, by preventing "canon" events that hold the fabric of the multiverse together, and that all Spider-Men must suffer sacrifices to maintain a stable multiverse.

Realising that his own father, newly appointed as captain, will die at the hands of The Spot and is a canon event, Miles breaks free of the Spider Society, heading back to his home world to save his father. Arriving back in what he thinks is his apartment, Miles realises that something is not right about this Earth that places him and his father in dire straits.

We return to the cinema with The Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 3, the thirty second movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The final movie in the trilogy and James Gunn's final movie for Marvel before he moves to the Distinguished Competition. We chat all about the movie in our latest podcast.

Synopsis for our Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 3 Movie Review

At their new headquarters on Knowhere, the Guardians of the Galaxy are attacked by Adam Warlock, a Sovereign warrior created by their high priestess Ayesha. After Adam overpowers them and seriously wounds Rocket, he is stabbed by Nebula and forced to flee. The Guardians are unable to tend to Rocket's wounds due to a kill switch, made by the company Orgocorp, embedded in him. To save their friend the Guardians travel to Orgocorp's headquarters to find the override code.

As Rocket lies unconscious, he recalls his past. As a baby raccoon, he was experimented on by the High Evolutionary, a scientist who sought to enhance animal lifeforms into anthropomorphic species to create a "Perfect" Counter-Earth. Rocket befriended the other test subjects: an otter called Lylla, the walrus Teefs, and the rabbit named Floor. Of all the test subjects the High Evolutionary was impressed by Rocket's intelligence but furious when it exceeded his own. Perfecting the anthropomorphization process with Rocket's advice he orders Rocket's brain to be extracted and his friends incinerated. Rocket, realising he and his friends were not part of the High Evolutionary’s perfect world, frees himself and his friends, but Lylla, Reefs and Floor but are killed in the escape by the High Evolutionary.

Rocket, enraged, mauls the High Evolutionary and shoots his guards, as he makes his solitary escape in a spaceship.

In the present, the alternate version of Gamora, who has joined the Ravagers, helps the Guardians infiltrate Orgocorp, which is owned by the High Evolutionary. They retrieve Rocket's file, but discover that the code has been removed. The group speculates that Theel, one of the High Evolutionary's recorders, has it, so they depart for Counter-Earth. They are followed by Ayesha and Adam, who are ordered by their creator, the High Evolutionary, to retrieve Rocket for his brain.

Upon arriving on Counter Earth, the team is helped by residents in tracing Theel to the High Evolutionary's ship. Drax and Mantis remain with Gamora and Rocket as Peter Quill, Groot, and Nebula travel to the ship. Nebula is forced to wait outside by guards as Quill and Groot board. Drax and Mantis chase after Quill's group.

The High Evolutionary initiates his destruction and planned recreation of Counter-Earth, which kills all life on the planet, including Ayesha. As his ship enters orbit, Quill and Groot leap off with Theel, retrieving the code from him. Gamora arrives with their ship to rescue them, while Nebula, Mantis, and Drax board the High Evolutionary's ship to rescue the now-absent Quill and Groot. As Quill's group attempts to access the code, Rocket flatlines and has a near death experience, where he sees Lylla, Teefs, and Floor. Lylla tells him that his time has not yet come as Quill uses the code to disable the kill switch and save Rocket's life.

Nebula, Mantis, and Drax come across hundreds of imprisoned humanoid children on the High Evolutionary's ship before being captured. Quill's group sets out to rescue the three, who are placed in a chamber with monstrous Abilisks. Mantis befriends the Abilisks, allowing the group to escape and reunite with Quill's group, together overpowering the High Evolutionary's army. Kraglin and Cosmo arrive on Knowhere, and Cosmo creates a telekinetic tunnel connecting Knowhere to the High Evolutionary's ship to free the captured children. Rocket discovers imprisoned animals on the ship before being attacked by the High Evolutionary, but the rest of the Guardians help subdue him, leaving him to perish on his ship. The Guardians rescue the animals and lead them aboard Knowhere. Quill nearly dies trying to cross over but is saved by Adam, who had a change of heart after being saved by Groot.

In the aftermath, Quill leaves the Guardians, bestowing the captaincy to Rocket before leaving for Earth to reunite with his grandfather Jason. Mantis embarks on a journey of self-discovery with the Abilisks, Gamora reunites with the Ravagers, and Nebula and Drax remain on Knowhere to raise the rescued children.

In a mid-credits scene, the new Guardians, consisting of Rocket, a fully-grown Groot, Cosmo, Kraglin, Adam, Phyla-Vell (one of the rescued children), and Adam's pet Blurp, take on a new mission. In a post-credits scene, Quill eats breakfast with his grandfather Jason.

After taking control of the guardian Alioth, Sylvie and Loki arrive at The Citadel at the Edge of Time. The creator of the Time Variance Authority resides inside. But they are greeted by a very cheery Miss Minutes. Her true boss “He Who Remains” is willing to give Loki and Sylvie everything they desire, from Victory at the battle of New York and the Infinity Gauntlet for Loki, to a life filled with happy memories for Sylvie.

They can both even live in the same timeline. All they have to do is listen to him. Meanwhile back at the TVA while Mobius and Hunter B-15 reveal the truth to the other minutemen, Judge Renslayer has been given instructions from He Who Remains and she escapes through a time portal to find the one who has “Free Will”.

He Who Remains invites Loki and Sylvie to talk, but Sylvie tries to kill him at every opportunity. He is able to dodge every attack and explains that he knows everything that will happen in their meeting. He Who Remains informs them that he discovered a way to connect with other universes and the many variants of him. These variants tried to work together to solve the world’s issues, but the good versions of him also existed along with the many bad versions of him.

The evil versions tried to exploit their connections and knowledge to Conquer the multiverse; and so began the Multiversal War. Realising this war would destroy everything, He Who Remains, weaponised Alioth and established the efficient Time Variance Authority and its bureaucracy to remove all timelines that led to the Multiversal War. Leaving him alone in the Citadel at the edge of time. But he’s tired. He offers Sylvie and Loki the opportunity to continue his work to preserve the Multiversal harmony or they can plunge the universes into catastrophe and chaos if they choose to end him.

Loki seems willing to accept the offer of He Who Remains but Sylvie kisses him and sends him through a time portal. Finally Sylvie achieves her revenge, kills the founder and awaits the arrival of thousands of his variants and the Multiversal War.As Loki returns to the TVA he soon realises that no one knows who he is, both B-15 and Mobius are confused about who he is and this TVA has someone else very much in charge.

Loki awakes in the void with Classic Loki, Kid Loki, Boastful Loki and Alligator Loki they need to get out of there before the reality eating creature Alioth destroys them. Back at the Time Variance Authority, Judge Renslayer explains to Sylvie that the pruned timelines and variants are sent to The Void at the end of time. Loki is alive there but there’s no way to get there and back.

Renslayer, using Miss Minutes, keeps Sylvie busy looking for files on the imaginary void time machine to distract her while her team arrives to recapture her. But Sylvie takes the judge’s tempad and prunes herself. As a war for power breaks out between the distrustful Lokis, Sylvie arrives at The Void and connects with Alioth where she sees a world beyond. As she makes her escape from Alioth she’s saved by Mobius M Mobius in his pizza car.

Meanwhile back at the TVA Renslayer sets a lengthy task for Ms Minutes to gather all the data on the beginning of the TVA and interrogates Hunter B-15. But B-15 realises the judge is desperately looking for information on who created the timekeepers.

Back at the end of time, Loki plans to kill Alioth thinking he can rest back control of the Void but Sylvie realises that working together they can enchant it, bringing it under their control and escape from their prison. Loki gives the stolen tempad to Mobius so he can return to the TVA. Classic Loki uses his glorious magical power to create a replica of Asgard, this distracts Alioth long enough to give Sylvie and Loki time to control one of its branches.

As they enchant Alioth, the angry cloud turns green and begins to dissipate. As the cloud rolls back a hidden castle is revealed at the center of the beast. Will they find the true timekeepers or their creator?

At the Time Variance Authority Headquarters, Judge Ravona Renslayer takes the blame for the loss of the variants. Renslayer is taking this very personally as she had the original mission of bringing Sylvie in when she was a child. Mobius is tasked with retrieving the Lokis to restore the sacred timeline. Meanwhile Sylvie and Loki wait for the coming apocalypse on Lamentis 1.

Sylvie explains that as soon as her existence threatened the timeline she was scooped up from Asgard by the TVA but escaped and has been on the run ever since. When Loki reaches out to comfort her, a brand new variation to the sacred timeline occurs allowing the TVA to pinpoint the variants and bring them back. Now recaptured, Mobius tortures Loki with a memory from Asgard and, when Loki believes Sylvie has been pruned from the timeline, he reveals to Mobius that all of the TVA is a lie.

Everyone there once had a life that was taken away from them and wiped by the timekeepers. Mobius investigates Loki’s claims and learns that Hunter C-20 was pruned as soon as she learned the truth and spoke to Renslayer. But when he tries to free Loki he is pruned from the timeline. Hunter B-15 also learns the truth about her past and makes a plan with Sylvie.

When Loki and Sylvie are brought in front of the Timekeepers they learn that the heads of the TVA are just mechanical figures and work together to take out their TVA guards. Believing they’ve won the encounter Loki attempts to share his feelings with Sylvie before he too is pruned by Renslayer.

As Sylvie threatens the Judge to find out everything about the true TVA, Loki awakes in another place. With three other variants of himself looking on they need to get a move on soon.

After interrogating Hunter C-20 for information on the Timekeepers, the Variant arrives at the Time Variance Authority headquarters to complete her mission, closely followed by Loki. He proposes a team up but the variant refuses.

When Judge Renslayer confronts them Loki uses a TemPad to take them both out of the perilous situation but into an apocalyptic situation on Lamentis-1. With the TemPad out of power they are stuck on Lamentis-1 which is due to be destroyed by a dying moon.

With meteors falling and gravity quakes becoming more frequent they need to charge the TemPad to escape the apocalypse. As they try to find a power source for the pad the Variant tells Loki she goes by the alias of Sylvie and she’s been running from the TVA her whole life. She also reveals that the Minutemen are all variants stolen from their time and made work for the Time Variance Authority.

After a run in with a lady and her big blaster, Loki and Sylvie sneak their way onto a train reserved only for the wealthy to get to the planet’s evacuation vessel - the Ark - the only power source powerful enough to charge the TemPad.

During their journey Loki gets drunk and is thrown from the train closely followed by Sylvie but the TemPad is broken in the fall. Their only hope now is to hijack the Ark that is shipping survivors from the planet to escape the apocalypse. Loki and Sylvie fight their way to the planetary escape vehicle but are unable to make it through the crowd in time. Their only option is to watch on as the Ark is cut in half by a falling meteorite as the moon begins it’s final descent towards to planet Lamentis-1.

Loki Episode 2 "The Variant" Synopsis

A team of Time Variance Authority Minutemen arrive at a Renaissance Fair in Wisconsin in 1985. They are on the trail of a Loki Variant but to the tune of “Holding Out for a Hero” they are taken out by the hooded figure who captures and kidnaps Hunter C-20.

Meanwhile back at the TVA headquarters, Mobius meets with Judge Renslayer to explain that Loki is a valuable asset that is needed to catch the murderous variant.

Given one last chance Loki is tasked with searching through the Variant's history to find clues on where it might be. Loki suggests that his Variant could be hiding in apocalyptic events throughout the sacred timeline which would mask any activities since that timeline will end. To test the theory Mobius takes Loki to Pompeii in 79AD. With the impending eruption of Mount Vesuvius they learn that nothing Loki does shows up as a variant timeline.

Using the origin date of the Kablowee Candy left behind in France at the Variant’s previous attack, Loki quickly identifies where they could be hiding. When the team arrives at the RoxxCart superstore in 2050s Alabama, Loki meets his variant. They possess Hunter B-15 and other customers of the store to inform Loki that he has no idea of the scale of their plan, it isn’t about him.

Finally revealing their true form to Loki they set off a chain of time reset charges that are sent throughout time creating hundreds of breakaway moments and destroying the Sacred Timeline.

Welcome back fellow Defenders we're chatting about Marvel's Loki Episode 1 "Glorious Purpose" which arrived on June 9th 2021. We learn all about the Time Variance Authority as Loki diverges from his destiny and messes with the timeline.

Loki Episode 1 "Glorious Purpose"

Synopsis

Following his battle with the Avengers in New York, Loki, God of Mischief was captured and awaiting transport back to Asgard to be punished for his crimes. But, in their search for the infinity stones to defeat Thanos in the future, the Avengers travelled back to 2012 to retrieve the Tesseract.

Fortunately for Loki, during the time heist the Tesseract was dropped at his feet allowing him to escape. Unfortunately this change in destiny altered the “sacred timeline” drawing the attention of the Time Variance Authority. Loki is captured by TVA Hunter B-15 and put on trial for his crimes in front of Juge Ravonna Renslayer.

Meanwhile TVA employee Mobius M. Mobius is investigating a series of murders in the timeline of other TVA agents. He saves Loki from his trial and explains the work of the Time Variance Authority is to uphold the events deemed sacred by three interdimensional beings known as the Timekeepers.

As Loki diverged from this timeline he’s now a variant of the original Loki. Mobius needs Loki’s help to capture the murderer as he believes it’s another Loki variant travelling through time. If Loki helps end the threat a meeting with the Timekeepers is on the table.

After witnessing Krista Dumont's fall and believing her dead, Billy Russo (Ben Barnes) full of rage tries to kill Dinah Madani (Amber Rose Revah) in retaliation. He is shot by her and forced to escape from the police as they arrive. Badly wounded Russo attempts to get help from a whiskey swilling back-alley surgeon Doctor Charles (E.J. Carroll), who true to his name dumps Russo in a back-alley wheelie bin after taking all his money. As Russo awakes in the bin with his wounds still open and bleeding the irony of his situation is not lost on his dark sense of humour.

Elsewhere and unbeknownst to Russo, both Dinah Madani and Krista Dumont (Floriana Lima) are still alive. As Krista awakes in hospital she is visited by Madani who forgets to bring flowers, chocolates and a bunch of grapes but remembers to bring lots of attitude! Meanwhile, a deal made between the Schultz’s and Frank Castle to exchange David Schultz (Todd Alan Crain) for Amy (Giorgia Whigham) gets complicated. As Amy notifies Frank of Pilgrim's whereabouts, she is only kidnapped by the Pilgrim during the ensuing shootout between him and Frank.

At the same time Curtis Hoyle (Jason R. Moore) goes off script to free David and turns him over to Detective Sergeant Brett Mahoney (Royce Johnson). As the non-exchange of David and Amy gets crazy Pilgrim and Castle engage in a brutal hand-to-hand fight that Frank wins; but he doesn’t kill the Pilgrim after being asked by him to spare his sons. Instead Frank uses the man in black to secure a path to the Schultz residence where bullets go bang.

Finally, as Russo takes shelter in Curtis' workplace basement, he waits for Curtis to sit with him until he dies. However, Curtis has called Frank who, with no chit-chat, executes Russo off-loading two bullets into his chest, killing him instantly!

Three months later, after sending Amy to Florida to learn scuba-diving, Frank resumes his duties as the Punisher while Madani (conscience clear) works for the C.I.A. (who she previously fought against)! Happy ever after!

Detective Sergeant Brett Mahoney (Royce Johnson) has Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) in custody handcuffed in the back of an ambulance. With Dinah Madani (Amber Rose Revah) pleading for Mahoney to set Frank free The Pilgrim (Josh Stewart) crashes and almost kills them, pushing the ambulance off a road bridge. While taking aim to finish the job John Pilgrim is run off the road himself by a speeding Madani.

As Pilgrim escapes in Madani’s car Frank goes to confront the only lead he has, Senator David Schultz (Todd Alan Crain). He gets no information from Schultz and kidnaps him to interrogate him more.

Meanwhile Curtis Hoyle (Jason R. Moore) is also being interrogated by Pilgrim for the location of Amy (Giorgia Whigham). As she walks through the door Curtis unleashes an attack on the Pilgrim and Amy drives him off with a shotgun. As he heads back to his apartment to heal his wounds little does he know that Amy has followed him home, hidden in the boot of his car.

But while Billy Russo (Ben Barnes) cashes out, Dinah Madani confronts Doctor Krista Dumont (Floriana Lima) and sends her flying!

Arrested and in a critical condition Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) is under armed guard by the N.Y.P.D. at a hospital following the killing of three women during the assault on Valhalla by Frank and Curtis Hoyle (Jason R. Moore).

Meanwhile, in his hotel room John Pilgrim (Josh Stewart), still recovering from his own injuries, receives some crushing news from Eliza Schultz (Annette O'Toole) that renews his sense of purpose in his crusade against Frank.

In his hospital bed, defenseless and still with a 5 million dollar bounty on his head, Frank is visited by three women - Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) the lawyer, Dinah Madani (Amber Rose Revah) the investigator and Amy (Giorgia Whigham) the rescuer.

While Karen calls in a favour at the hospital morgue and Madani examines the three prostitutes, Amy puts her fire alarm plan into action to free Frank and rescue him from the Pilgrim who has arrived at the hospital to get the job done. While Frank evades the Pilgrim his escape is thwarted by Detective Sargent Brett Mahoney (Royce Johnson).

The brutal encounter pushes him back into old habits. As he falls back into drugs, prostitutes and alcohol during his recovery he begins to doubt his divine purpose.

Elsewhere, as Dinah Madani (Amber Rose Revah) and Dr Krista Dumont (Floriana Lima) debate the merits of who's worth saving over wine, wine and more wine, Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) along with Curtis Hoyle (Jason R. Moore) stake out and prepare to storm Billy Russo's base - Valhalla. Little do they know that in turn they are being watched.

Frank and Curtis enact their plan against Billy Russo (Ben Barnes) and blood ensues. In the gun fight as Frank hunts down Russo, he blindly fires on an office in Valhalla killing three innocent woman and Curtis is traumatised by killing one of the former Veterans. As the police arrive, Frank is rocked by guilt and we discover the work of Dr Dumont behind the events that played out. To destroy Frank Castle: destroy his sense of moral superiority!

As Billy Russo (Ben Barnes) and Dr. Dumont (Floriana Lima) consider their future, Billy and his veteran army go on a successful robbery and murder spree though the city. But this makes him easier to track and Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) learns of his warehouse hideout called Valhalla.

Russo also breaks into the apartment of Dinah Madani (Amber Rose Revah) and confronts her on his forgotten memories, where she reveals that he killed Castle's family. Meanwhile, Anderson Schultz (Corbin Bernsen), now in New York city with his son David, instructs the Pilgrim to place a 5 Million dollar bounty on Frank Castle and Amy to draw them out into the open. The large cash prize (assuming survival) inspires New York's worst to pursue the Punisher and Amy (Giorgia Whigham), but also reconnects the Pilgrim (Josh Stewart) with his murky past.

But as Frank seeks out Billy, a restless Amy leaves the caravan and seeks help from a fellow grifter that leaves her in serious danger.

Painful memories take a hold of Billy Russo (Ben Barnes) following his brutal encounter with his former army mate and friend Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal). He runs to Dr. Dumont (Floriana Lima) for support. Confused and feeling betrayed Russo is unable to make the connection between his friendship with Frank and what just went down. As he suspects Dumont knows the truth about Frank his relationship with her becomes more fraught and he leaves to return to his veteran family and make plans.

Elsewhere, Frank also has difficulty to process the events as he observes that Russo is unaware of his past crimes against his family. But his frustration becomes equally physical and threatening as he crosses the line with Amy (Giorgia Whigham), Detective Sergeant Brett Mahoney (Royce Johnson) and one of the veteran gang Jake Nelson (Jordan Dean), frightening those closest to him. Still recovering from his run in with Frank, Mahoney visits Dinah Madani (Amber Rose Revah) and warns her that she faces a choice between loyalty to Frank or loyalty to her oath as a law enforcer.
