24 Bauer Party People

Bad news: The plot sucks. Good news: now we have an entirely different plot, and maybe this one won't!

In which:

-everyone knows Andy the torturer

-thank christ, Kim's in peril

-and CTU Is Fake goes all the way to the top

Already the quagmire pulls us in, as a sweatier-than-ever Bauer tangles with some unfortunately named Hispanic chaps.

In which:

- Kim Was Not The Impostor

- a new type of dad just dropped

- and we fire the podcast gun

Three blissful months without 24 come to a screeching halt as we settle in for another day at the coalface.

In Which:

- we play "What the fuck is going on?"

- we discuss potential future pod ideas

- and we rename a host

A two-hour S2 finale. 24 thought it could destroy us. It didn't know we could destroy us first. You knew what you were getting into by listening.

In which:

- we mix drinks

- Kim makes us cry laughing

- and we make our final awards judgements

A shorter and more subdued episode as we envy Jack sleeping the sleep of the dead. In Which:

- the hogs come out to play

- Jack Bauer vibrates

- and Jack Bauer gets vibrated to actual death

The No Good Day Award hits lethal fever pitch as the wisdom of doing this one day after season 1 starts to fray. In Which:

- Palmer takes a Zoom call

- a sheep dip filled with spaff

- and Kim escapes Vault 101

This was the best of times. This was also very much the worst of times. It's downhill from here. IN WHICH:

- Islam is handled sensitively

- the torture veers from fun to upsetting

- cougars (figurative)

- and cougars (literal)

Sometimes a time capsule is full of insights on the past. Sometimes it's full of shit. Today, it's both. IN WHICH: - 24 gets very 24, even for 24 - The Return Of The Simping - and Kim engages in crime hijinks

Another dumbass, another day. Season 2 begins, and the sun rises on what may prove to be our undoing. The stakes are higher, the shouting is louder, and the hoggery? Oh, you'd better believe it's at its hoggiest yet.
IN WHICH:
 - Jack Bauer returns from furlough with an ill advised beard
- a white woman is menaced by a dastardly foreigner who is actually maybe the only tolerable character
- meeting rooms are for meetings, briefings, and extrajudicial decapitations
- and The Bad Dad Of The Day Sweepstakes begin, with no shortage of competitors

Welcome once again, to 24 *Jessi screams*

We took a break for 24 hours to recuperate! Jack Bauer took a whole year! He's lazy, we're committed. We discuss some lingering thoughts we had about season 1, a review Jessi found and touch on what we think season 2 will be like before diving in!

Like a wet towel into a stomach, we've finally worked our way to the end.
