Burnout may be an overused or misused word in the entrepreneur world. However, it’s a glaring ambulance siren that needs to be paid attention to.
When someone is risking burnout in what they’re doing, they need to know what to do and how to process it right. Trust me– I’m a serial entrepreneur, and while I do love the hustle, I’ve burnt out too many times which led me to lead a softer, more spacious life right now. The secret? The right knowledge, the right tools, and of course, high level outsourcing.
Outside outsourcing (my expertise), I sit with another expert in business growth and burnouts.
After researching the connection between 'ADHD', 'Burnout' and 'Flow' Jamie developed a coaching program called 'Flowjo' which helps ADHD founders to cure burnout, harness their ADHD superpowers, and start flowing towards their goals. Jamie was diagnosed with ADHD as a child and has burnt out three times in his career - once as a professional tennis player, and twice as a business owner. He has used this experience as fuel to pursue his passion in solving one of entrepreneurs’ biggest challenges: burnout.
Jamie Toyne is also the Author of the 'Pressure Gauge Mindset' and Founder of two other companies called Dealflow and Exitplanr, that helped more than 400 entrepreneurs successfully exit their business.
In his 13+ years of coaching business owners, he has clarified a lot of things for me in this podcast. Check out some highlights….
This podcast episode was such an eye opener for me. Even though I would consider myself an expert in delegation, outsourcing, and leadership, there were still blind spots for me in terms of fully understanding burnout and flow.
For Jamie, thank you for sitting with me and fleshing this out.
For our listeners, I highly encourage you to check out Jamie’s FREE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL: Flowjo.
If you need expert help working through burnout, I recommend checking out Jamie’s 12-week coaching program, that helps entrepreneurs with ADHD harness their superpower to make scaling their business faster, easier, and a lot more fun. Here’s the program link.

As busy entrepreneurs, we often forget to ask ourselves some of life’s most important questions.
One of these questions being… what is our life purpose, and how important is it?

This was such a soul-filling conversation and experience, and my only wish is that you also share this with someone you care about.

Here’s a long-ish story on how I got into loving poetry, how it helped me gain confidence in public speaking at a young age, how it helped me sharpen my copy, how it helped me do millions of dollars in sales, my short stint as a performance poet, getting published in an international anthology, and as a bonus… me reading some of my favorite poems.
Hope you enjoy this as much as I did recording it! :) If you need a reason to love poetry again, here it is.

When we spend money at a service, a product, or an establishment, we have a baseline expectation on how we are treated as a customer.
However, we have certain experiences with companies that just blew us away. Swept us off our feet. Made us give 10 stars on a 5-star scale. And this is better than whirlwind romance, it’s lifetime customer loyalty brewing.
In this podcast episode, I hung out with Alex Booth, CEO and Founder of Huckleberry Consulting, a Customer Success Consulting firm, to discuss our favorite stories of exceptional customer experiences.

Raise your hand if you feel like you’ve been around some “scammy” business coaches. You see red flags all over their social media profile, you have seen them gaslight some of their clients, and like an occasional shooting star, you see some of their posts don’t make sense. (Surprise! They are lying.)
Though there are a TON of wonderful, qualified, good-intention business coaches around, it’s sad to see some very talented grifters join the space. In this podcast episode, I sit with Filipi Sardi, an online entrepreneur from Croatia who has worked with both good and bad coaches, and proceeds to serve this industry by supporting coaches who actually care about the people they serve.

As a business girlie, beauty girlie, fitness girlie, fashion girlie….I’ve made a lot of bad money decisions that continue to haunt me. I mean, I’ve processed most of them in therapy and I’ve gotten wiser over the years, but sometimes, it annoys me thinking about them!
Years and years of being in the social media eye did not help, too. In this episode, I’ve distilled some of the most common bad money decisions that ladies make, regrettable purchases I made when I started to make more money, purchases that somehow made it to my life even though I had no intention of enjoying it, all the weird mental gymnastics this took, and how you can get over it, too.

Just in the past year, I’ve traveled to seven countries. Add maybe four more for layovers.
I recently got hit with a surprise trip back to the Philippines, where I had to travel over 30 hours to stay there for a few weeks. And get this – it was super easy.
I don’t get jetlagged (yep, never in my life) and I learned a few things along the way so that I can keep my diet and business in order even when I’m taking these crazy trips.
Definitely did not come easy – I’ve had missed flights, missed calls, missed business, and I used to just accept that my health won’t be the priority because I’m traveling.
This is not the case anymore. Dive in as I share my best tips for no-jetlag travel, and my best advice for getting your health and business in order even when you’re traveling.

It’s pretty straightforward: we had a great conversation about 10 Uncanny Ways to Find Great Hires.
Last week I sat with the Founder of BarbellJobs.com, hiring expert and business broker Sebastian Gast. We talked about some of our best hires, our “creative” ways in finding them, secret green flags to look out for, and we also dispelled some myths and discussed nuances about hiring.

There were many times in my life when I needed to put my game face on because I gotta pay a huge amount of debt.
My biggest, most challenging story with debt happened when I lost my dad at 22.
He spent two months in the ICU, and his meds were costing us at least $800 a day.
My mom worked hard day and night to care for him, I went out and made as much money as I could, and we borrowed from so many people.
Unfortunately, after all of that work, my dad passed away.
We experienced a loss much bigger than money.
Losing my dad was one of the most painful moments of my life. So painful it even dwarfed the fact that I owed over $60,000 USD (3 million pesos) when I was barely making $1,000 a month that time.
So I got to work right away, did my best to support my family, became a breadwinner at 22, and paid off that debt like my life depended on it.
And my, I learned a lot. Every debt that came after that was child’s game. And, along the way, I learned lessons on how to manage debt, investment, and revenue generation.
Join me as I shared my best mindset shifts, practical lessons, and strategies to get over a huge debt.
One day you might need it. :)

What do corporate people really think of remote work? And how different is it from us, entrepreneurs?
I was always curious about this, so I thoughtfully threatened— I mean, convinced!-- my husband, the ultimate retired corporate guy to tell me about his experience.
The remote work culture blew up during the pandemic big time, and in this episode, we talked about the emotional journey that went with it, the changes we noticed from our colleagues, best practices both from corporate and smaller businesses, and most of all, what we did to cope with the challenges of the pandemic. (Well hopefully there’s not a next one.)
Bonus: If you’re a business owner, listen til the end to peep our top 3 tips to make the most out of a happier, more productive workplace with remote work.
And oh, get to know my husband, Alex. :)
Alex Booth's journey is nothing short of inspirational. Hailing from Northern Idaho, his love for the outdoors and relentless ambition drove him from snowboarding to golf and onto the business world.
Starting in Seattle at YP, he aimed high, nearly hitting an ambitious earnings goal that dwarfed his family's modest income. His quest for growth led him through tech giants like Microsoft Bing Ads to Amazon, where he excelled in customer success.
The pandemic turned his path to Mexico, where love and new beginnings awaited. Alex founded Huckleberry Consulting, leveraging his expertise to foster customer-centric growth. Tune in for a story of determination, love, and entrepreneurship.

Unless you have a career in fashion, we solely participate in fashion as consumers. Clothes and accessories are things that we buy. And that’s it.
In this episode, I sit down with Jesse Boga, a journalism-trainer writer who has extensive work in news and lifestyle media, PR, and science communication.
We talked about…
I really enjoyed this conversation because it tackled fashion in a different light.
As entrepreneurs who dabble in fashion merely as consumers, we were able to discuss angles that would never come up in our day-to-day lives.
After this episode, I mindfully donated a few of my clothes and chose to be more intentional with the things I buy. :) [Don’t worry! This is not a podcast about minimalism! Haha!]

Let's face it -- the main reason why most people are not entrepreneurs is because the level of pressure, optimism, and hard work are different. The demands and expectations are different. For those who see the rewards to be "worth it", they choose this path and do what it takes.
So where does that leave us, entrepreneurs? Usually, in a cocktail of stress and exhaustion, especially if you're starting out. (Unless you outsource and get the right support.... *wink wink*)
Listen in as Kelsey and I discuss the basics of stress management for Founders, mental strength, nervous system regulation, and the best habits for a stress-free life.

This has been a conversation I've always wanted to have!
A few weeks ago, I discovered "passport bros", defined in Urban Dictionary as "men* who have chosen to seek out foreign women, typically from other countries, for relationships. They believe that western women have been influenced by cultural and societal pressures to behave in a certain way, and that by seeking out foreign women, they can find a more authentic, fulfilling, and harmonious relationship. This is seen as a way to restore the natural balance between masculine and feminine energy, and to avoid the "wickedness" of western women."
*Mostly referring to American men
Definitely very fascinating, and I wanted to talk to one who went through a meaningful reflection process before just colloquially identifiying as one.
Steve, a successful Founder and entrepreneur with a thriving location independent business and investments, sat with me to talk about his experience with women, why he prefers dating women abroad, and personal stories of how he saw women around him change as the years went by.
One of the highlights of this conversation was how feminism morphed its meaning throughout the years. Maybe it's a branding issue, maybe it's a reflection of culture. And how THIS, contributed to the rise of "passport bros".

As entrepreneurs, our curiosities are always floating around **weird** places.
Mine led me to asking one of my friends, "hey, do you want to come on my podcast and discuss that experience you had going to a s3x party?"
Thankfully she said YES and we had a very insightful chat!

As I go through a major closet cleanup, I wondered what it would be like to discuss power dressing, a polished appearance, confidence, and good energy when meeting people...
So I thought of hitting up my friend, Kurshot, to jam with me on this podcast.
In this episode, Kurshot and I talked about his initial experience as a bartender and how talking with people from different walks of life paved the way to his entrepreneurial pursuits.
We talked about nuances of credibility, trust, beauty, sex appeal, discipline, fashion, taste, and how this all contributes to your personal brand, and how having a strong brand helps a lot in business.

Most people would classify me as "extroverted". I don't think I am a full extrovert though. I love my me-time and I love peaceful nights at home, sipping tea and reading a book.
IKR, sounds cliche, but it's true! Ask my husband, lol.
The thing is, people think this way because they've seen me move around different crowds, different circles of friends, and different business industries.
Some are surprised how I can even get into these rooms, or surprised that I spent time with particular celebrities, and business people who were very "unapproachable".
Well, I think, throughout the years, I've consciously learned and improved on the skill of networking.
Actual networking. Building meaningful professional and personal relationships that stand the test of time.
Listen to this episode for some cool tips on how to land your dream job, your dream business circle, your dream man, and your dream friendships...through networking! I don't have all the answers, but I have some milestones and learnings that I want to share with you. :)

Ever wonder what it's like to do over $7M in sales, invest in a few properties, and write your own book at 21?

Sometimes it's funny to me how drinking alcohol is a "norm" and if you're the one who is not doing that, you're the odd one out.
I experienced a few moments in my life where I would consider myself an alcoholic...I would not be able to finish a day without a few glasses of wine, or my favorite cocktail. Thankfully these moments only lasted a few months but if I was to go back, I would never do it again.
At the time, it made sense, but I also know I was covering up a deeper issue that needed proper attention.
In this podcast episode, I sit with Eric Oberembt, Founder of Roofers in Recovery and owner of a seven figure roofing business.
He tells me his rock bottom story of when he was deep into drugs, alcohol, and bad decisions, how he turned his life around, dating without drinking, how he decided to devote his life in serving his community through his nonprofit, and the ONE SECRET QUALITY TRAIT to have to avoid pitfalls in life like depression and alcoholism.

Bonus: Emily was featured on the famous Netflix show Below Deck (Mediterranean). Wanna know what that's like? She tells it all!

Let's face it, procrastination is something that affects all of us. It's a common enemy that pops up just when we need to get stuff done. But here's the thing, even the most successful entrepreneurs have it, so it's nothing to be ashamed of.
We all have those moments where we just can't seem to focus on the task at hand.
So, what's the deal? Why do we procrastinate, and how can we overcome it? Josh Thomas, a business consultant who has worked with over 5,000 entrepreneurs in 30 industries shares some of his thoughts with us.
Here are some of the questions I asked him:
- What is procrastination and why do we do it?
- How does procrastination affect our personal lives and our business lives? (Note: watch out for the powerful Disney metaphor.)
- What are some triggers for procrastination, and how can we identify and overcome it? Is there a "pre-emptive strike" that we can do?
- What are some strategies to avoid/ manage procrastination: time management and mindset-wise? Habits, routines, tools?
- How can we reframe our relationship with procrastination and learn to see it as an opportunity for growth rather than a cause for failing?
- What role does self discipline play in this and how can we cultivate that?
- How can we balance the desire to achieve our goals and the need to take breaks, without falling into a cycle of procrastination?
- What advice can you give to someone who struggles with chronic procrastination, and feel stuck in a cycle of avoidance and guilt? And also, what is the QUICKEST WAY to leave procrastination behind?
This was such a soul-enriching conversation and I am sure you'll love it. Pop this episode on a gym session, a long drive, or a meaningful solo meal. You won't regret it.
And yeah, probably don't procrastinate on that. ;)

Being a hot girl on social media these days doesn’t come without its ups and downs. (Trust me, I know! *hair flip*) JK :P
On the bright side, a "hot girl" typically has a huge following and can use their social media as a platform to easily get attention, which then, when used correctly, can turn into sales.
On the down side however, while a hot girl may be receiving attention from followers who view them as eye candy or "online celebrities", it may not always translate into real growth and success in their business.
Believe me, I've seen hot girls do amazing 7-figure launches, and I've also seen some make huge flops. (Hey, same for men, too!)
The gap between popularity and creating something of value is far too wide for outwards beauty alone to bridge. This is why I sat down and chatted with Des Dobreva, our resident "hot girl" to talk about what it's like to build her business using social media.
Get ready for the ruckus as we....
It's easy to either get triggered or get inspired by some hot girl on social media. At the end of the day, good business beats everything else, and in the internet age, feedback and results are easy to prove.
Either way-- if I was made to choose between being hot or not, I'd still choose to be hot. ;)

As entrepreneurs, let's stop lying--- we're here to MAKE MONEY.
Making money can feel like a personal journey that's filled with highs and lows, though. We might start businesses to build wealth, but when it comes down to it, knowing how to use money in smart and effective ways, plus knowing how to act, and feel around money is an art form...and a lifelong process of learning.
That's why I'm so grateful for any lessons- mistakes, heartaches included- I've learned along the way.
Sneak peek:
In this podcast episode, I dig into some of the biggest money milestones I've achieved and the principles I imbibed that got me there.

As great as entrepreneurship can be, it can also take a mental toll if you're not intentional about taking care of yourself. Burnt out brains don't do anyone any good and mental health problems like depression and anxiety can prevent you from achieving the very success you seek.
You should plan regular mental check-ins with yourself, schedule time out to do activities that bring you joy and make sure that your mental well-being comes first before all else!
There's no shame in prioritising your mental health – it's crucial for turning those entrepreneurial dreams into a reality.
Here are my Top 15 tips, activities, and principles that help me keep my mental health in tip-top shape. :) I've spent years in collating this, so I hope it helps you!

The Law of Attraction is a popular belief that suggests that like energies attract like results. It's often described as "what you put out into the universe, you get back".
In general, people tend to think of the Law of Attraction as a simple means of getting what they want; they just have to put out positive energy and their desires will be fulfilled. Although this idea can be empowering in some ways, there can often be more to it than what we initially think.
So I sought out one of the world's best contemporary experts in The Law of Attraction to talk LOA with me- Andrew Kap!
His perennial best seller, “The Last Law of Attraction Book You’ll Ever Need To Read” offers readers a never-before-seen understanding of the topic — that no other “LOA” book has ever been able to do — by going the extra mile of finally addressing WHY people who get excited about trying it still can’t manage to get in the habit of using these methods for just five minutes a day.
With over 100,000 copies sold, the book has enjoyed continued success, including THOUSANDS of five-star reviews, #1 Best Seller status in multiple categories on Amazon, and a growing YouTube channel devoted to it.
Listen and soak in all the LOA goodness! See ya.
Are you a good "first date"? I won't even wait for your answer because I know it's a YES in your head, haha. I'm just teasing ya.
Today's a good day to talk about it though! Nowadays, first dates can come from both traditional and online dating. Whether it's a swipe right or an intro from your Grandma, here's a cheeky convo to steer you in the right direction.
With me is Yury, a guy I respect a lot in business. Used to be a "serial dater" (like me), but now happily coupled up! We talk about how to be a great first date, memorable first dates we've had (good and bad!) and a few politically incorrect jokes in between.

In July 2021, I moved to Playa del Carmen, Mexico because it was "somewhere new, and a timezone where I can run my business easily".
[Context: I serve mostly US/ Canada clients in my subscription-based outsourcing company - www.proximityoutsourcing.com.]
Plus, I was in a new relationship and I wanted a "fresh start".
That relationship quickly ended though, and I was stuck with a 90-day lease. I decided to ride it out because we prepaid for rent and I ended up writing the best love story ever: living in Playa del Carmen.
In this podcast episode, I hung out with fellow expat and entrepreneur Max Royale, and we talked about the things we love about living in Playa del Carmen.
Being away from US, the people, speaking a new language every day, the fresh, organic, hormone-free food, the bright turquoise waters, over 300 days of sun, the walking culture, and the right balance of entrepreneurial hustle and wellness biohacking.

Dating someone with a large age gap brings a unique set of challenges. Perhaps the biggest issue is navigating through the complex social norms and expectations that age differences create when dating.
When you add business dealings to the equation, it can be even more challenging. After all, age gaps don't just come with age-related differences in tastes and expectations, they also come with different approaches to working, differing levels of experience and knowledge, and contrasting levels of authority.
It's no wonder age gaps in dating have been proven to be harder to bridge if business is involved! And in this tea-worthy episode, we sat down with Paulo and Chris to discuss the complexities of it all.
Hope you loved this episode, and learned a lot about doing life your business partner, or doing business with your life partner. Whichever way it goes, stay true to your values and goals!

"Rooting for the Underdog" is a well-loved concept in the entrepreneur world.
We love hearing these hero stories that remind us that anyone who's had massive amounts of success got there not because they were special, had exceptional IQ, or born into a rich family.
There's a lot to earn and learn from people who have experieneced the opposite and yet they managed to get themselves out of that rut. (Believe me, I've been through a really bad phase of depression...)
In this None of Your Business episode about cultivating the underdog mindset, Zach and I talked about:
As someone who has earned his first million, moved into his dream lake house with his family of 6, and turned his business around in a span of 2 years, there's a lot to learn from Zach for sure. Check out all the fun things he's doing at UnderdogEmpowerment.com.

As entrepreneurs, we usually regard ourselves as "smart", or at least "smarter" than our peers.
Don't look at me like that-- you know this, you've done this many times.
When we solve certain problems and get paid handsomely for it, we have this pride about the way we do things, which makes us forget how we can be "intellectually vulnerable" in other areas of our lives.
Then one day, we do....STUPID THINGS.
I sat down with 2x Guinness World Record Holder, competitive Brazilian Jiu Jitsu athlete, Author, and Hypnosis Expert Chris Bolger to discuss this.
Why do smart people do stupid things?
Here are some snippets of this rich convo:

In this special solo episode, I shared about my top 10 learnings and reflections from 2022.
It was such an iconic year for me -- quit as a CEO, rebuilt my own outsourcing company, quit alcohol, quit TV, donated my eggs, participated in a major poker tournament, took care of my health more than ever, smiled more, cooked more, first anniversary of donating to charity on a regular basis (woop woop!) and met a man who made me stronger, more grounded, and happier in this entire journey.

Happy New Year, procrastinators! Just kidding. :) But we can all admit everyone has a little bit of procrastinator in them.
The one who resists discipline a few times a day.
The one who clearly sees the rewards of a routine, of order, and of consistency... yet we almost never make it perfect.
The good news is, we don't have to "make it perfect". We just have to view discipline in a different light.
Discipline is a key component of leading a successful and fulfilling life. It involves setting goals, making a plan to achieve them, and following through on that plan.
Discipline helps us to be responsible, reliable, and hardworking. It also enables us to resist temptation and make tough decisions that may not be easy in the moment, but will ultimately lead to long-term success and happiness. And so here's a conversation between me and Moe Ghias, a seasoned fitness coach to celebrities, authors, and some of your favorite influencers, discussing:
- His early examples of discipline, favorite and least favorite
- Thinking about the positive side of discipline and how to reframe it
- What is the hardest thing about discipline?
- How do our expectations mess with our "average person's brain"?
- What specific item should you CHANGE in order to develop better discipline
- Stories of previous success with friends and clients re: discipline
- When does discipline become easy?
- When you started business what was the hardest thing to discipline yourself with, how did you get over it?
- How we can help other people in developing discipline
Discipline is particularly important in the pursuit of personal and professional growth, as it allows us to stay focused and motivated in the face of challenges and setbacks.
Overall, discipline is a crucial quality for humans to cultivate in order to lead fulfilling and productive lives, and we hope you've earned enough gusto to nurture it through this podcast.
