Unlike the smooth, modern look of “What If…?”, this animated show will harken back to Peter Parker’s comic book origins as he begins his journey to become Spider-Man.

This version of Peter’s life will feature a bunch of new characters, including Nico Minoru, from the Runaways team; a new crush who isn’t Mary Jane or Gwen Stacey; Amadeus Cho, who becomes a new Hulk in the comics; a Wakandan exchange student; and Harry Osborn, with Harry’s father Norman (voiced by Colman Domingo) serving as Peter’s mentor. (Well, at first, anyway.)

Charlie Cox will be voicing the role of Daredevil, and Doctor Strange will appear as well (though it’s unclear if Benedict Cumberbatch will voice that role). Paul F. Tompkins will voice Bentley Whittman, aka the Wizard.

We’ll also see some classic Spidey villains, including Unicorn, Chameleon, Scorpion, Speed Demon, Tarantula, Rhino, Butane and Doc Ock.

Jeff Trammel (Cartoon Network’s “Craig of the Creek”) is the head writer and executive producer.

Season 2 is also in the works.

MCU Tie-In: Early press materials had indicated that this show is a prequel to the Tom Holland storyline in the MCU, but details unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 — like the appearance of Harry and Norman Osborn — threw cold water on that idea. So: multiverse!

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is a coming-of-age science fiction series about four kids who get lost in the Star Wars galaxy and must find their way home: 

• Setting: The show takes place in the New Republic era, after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983). It's set in the same time frame as The Mandalorian and its spin-offs. 

• Plot: The kids make a mysterious discovery on their home planet, then accidentally launch a starship into hyperspace and get lost. They encounter strange creatures, pirates, and other dangerous places. 

• Characters: The kids are played by Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Robert Timothy Smith, Kyriana Kratter, and Ryan Kiera Armstrong. Other characters include: 

  • Jod Na Nawood: A mysterious Jedi played by Jude Law 

  • SM 33: A cranky droid voiced by Nick Frost who helps the kids 

• Creators: Jon Watts and Christopher Ford created the show. 

• Production: Filming wrapped in January 2023. The show used a combination of new and traditional special effects techniques, including previsualization, motion capture, stop motion, and matte paintings.

The 2024 film ‘Salem's Lot’ is an adaptation of Stephen King's novel about a writer who returns to his hometown to find it under attack by vampires: 

• Plot

  Ben Mears, a writer who spent part of his childhood in Jerusalem's Lot, Maine, returns to his hometown after 25 years to write a book about the Marsten House. He discovers that an ancient evil has come to town and is turning the residents into vampires. Ben vows to stop the plague of undead and save the town. 

• Characters

  The main vampire is Kurt Barlow, a bald-headed coffin-dweller played by Alexander Ward. Ben's assistant, Richard Straker, played by Pilou Asbæk, acquires the Marsten House, a Victorian-style murder mansion. 

• Tone

  Some say the film is filled with jump scares and deaths, with characters being bitten, shot, and hit by a car. Others say the film doesn't get under your skin enough and doesn't have time to develop the characters.

Randi Naughton's Journey 

Randi Naughton was born on February 20, 1962, in Niagara Falls, New York, sharing her birthday with astronaut John Glenn [5]. Her early years were filled with memorable moments, including singing on stage with The Carpenters at the Niagara Falls Convention Center when she was just in sixth grade [5]. 

Randi's broadcasting career began at Wilson Central High School in Wilson, New York, where she did the morning announcements [6]. She earned the nickname "Naughty Naughton" for her playful pranks and antics [5]. After high school, she ventured into radio, landing her first gig in the early 80s [7]. 

Career Highlights 

Randi's career took off when she joined KTVI FOX 2 in St. Louis in 1992 [5]. She started with Sunday morning segments called "Randy 'Round Town," covering community events and festivals [6]. In 1994, she transitioned to sports reporting, becoming one of the few women in the field at the time [6]. Over the years, she interviewed countless St. Louis sports legends, including Stan Musial, Albert Pujols, and Wayne Gretzky [6]. 

For the past 23 years, Randi has been a beloved morning news anchor on FOX 2, helping viewers start their day with a smile [6]. She retired in July 2022, leaving behind a legacy of fair, honest, and relatable news reporting [6].

Deadpool's peaceful existence comes crashing down when the Time Variance Authority recruits him to help safeguard the multiverse. And he’s gonna need a familiar friend with an awesome name and some adamantium claws. Don’t worry. They won’t rewrite “Logan”. Welcome to the Mutliverse this summer. We’ll see you at the movies for this one!

The upcoming Disney Marvel movie "Deadpool & Wolverine" is set to be a game-changer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This film is a result of Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox, which has brought together characters from separate universes under one roof. This merger has allowed for the integration of characters like Deadpool and the X-Men into the MCU. 

In "Deadpool & Wolverine", Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman, is recovering from his injuries when he crosses paths with the loudmouth Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds. They team up to defeat a common enemy. 

The movie is set in the multiverse, connecting it to other Marvel properties. One of the significant connections is with the TV series "Loki" and the Time Variance Authority (TVA). The TVA, introduced in "Loki", is an organization in charge of maintaining the Sacred Timeline and ensuring the Marvel Multiverse remains intact [6]. In "Deadpool & Wolverine", the TVA comes knocking on Wade Wilson's (Deadpool's) door [6]. Deadpool finds himself in front of Matthew Macfayden's TVA Agent Paradox, who introduces Deadpool to the MCU. This connection to the TVA and Loki adds a new layer of complexity and excitement to the film. 

The villain in "Deadpool & Wolverine" is Cassandra Nova, played by Emma Corrin. In the comics, Cassandra Nova is a genocidal mutant with terrifying powers and a dark origin story. She is technically not Charles Xavier's twin, but they did share a womb, and she turned out to be the evil one [18]. It's true! Robert Downery Jr. surprise fans at 2024 Comic Con during the Marvel Studios Panel in Hall H that he would be playing Victor Von Doom in 'Avengers: Doomsday' set to release May 2026.

One year later fans can also look forward to 'Avengers: Secret Wars' May 2027. Both films were announced to be directed by the Russo brothers, the same duo that directed Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Apparently, this was one of RDJ's requirements to come back.

RDJ's return to the MCU raises many questions. Will he be a Tony Stark multiverse variant that becomes Victor Von Doom? We will find out. Fans could possible even expect to see Downey's Doom in the upcoming 'Fantastic Four' film starring Pedro Pascal.
