Come join the girls for their last session of the podcast! Brianna, Paije, and Janine get together one last time to share their thoughts on the closing of The Eras Tour. Then, they share their own ideal Eras Tour setlist.
Thanks again for all the time you've dedicated to this podcast over the last year and a half. You were more than just a short time. We had the time of our lives fighting dragons with you!
Join Brianna and Paije for their last ever deep dive! This session is all about Taylor's most recent track 5: So Long, London.
Welcome back Swifties! Brianna and Paije have returned after a brief hiatus, but they come baring some bittersweet news. After lots of thought and deliberation, the girls have decided to retire the podcast. There are still a few more sessions to come so fret not! But be sure to stay tuned for the last few episodes because, just like the Eras Tour, the last few shows will be extra special. For example, in this week's episode, Brianna and Paije unpack one of Taylor's most gut-wrenching track fives: tolerate it--- a song that, obviously, neither of them can relate to at all in the slightest way.
Taylor's back in the office, which means the girls have lots to talk about! This week, Brianna and Paije share their thoughts on Taylor's newest Eras Tour outfits. Then, in honor of the long awaited arrival of the TTPD + The Anthology vinyl, they dive into the lyrics of How Did It End? and Brianna brings the mood down with a vivid description of what the death rattle actually is.

Then, the girls share which other albums they think The Tortured Poets Department songs might fit on. Feel free to reach out and share which eras you think The Tortured Poet fits!

Buckle up and prepare for many a tangents in this episode! After a week off, the girls struggle to maintain any semblance of order. In this week's session, Brianna and Paije discuss everything from the US Open to Brittany Mahomes to Taylor's presidential candidate endorsement, before they finally get to VMAs.
In this week's session, Brianna and Paije finish their discussion on Taylor's most overrated and underrated songs. After their discussion of Taylor's final night in London (during which Brianna officially retires from clowning forever), the girls go through Taylor's five most recent albums and share what songs they think don't get enough love and which songs they think might be a little overhyped.

After a lengthy news segment recapping the troubling news from Vienna and Taylor's shows in London (minus the final night), Brianna and Paije go through Taylor's first 6 studio albums and share which songs they feel might not be appreciated enough and which songs might be a little too appreciated. Brianna also spends an embarrassing amount of time clowning for a Rep TV announcement that never came. She'll be officially turning in her rainbow wig and red nose on the next episode, so stay tuned!

The long awaited deep dive into the beloved track, Peter, has finally arrived! This session focuses entirely on the many allusions and symbols in the track. Happy Pride! This week's session is dedicated to all the girls, gays, and theys! In this episode, Brianna and Janine get surprisingly heated as they rate all of Taylor's albums on the Kinsey Scale, a visual model used to determine how homo or heterosexual someone/something is at any given moment. They discuss everything from the songs to the aesthetics to the use of pronouns in an attempt to answer the age old question: How gay is this?

In this week's session, Brianna and Paije revisit Taylor's 5 Stages of Heartbreak playlists, now featuring Tortured Poets songs! In the news segment, the girls discuss all of Taylor's most recent surprise song mash-ups, as well as the many haters she's been accumulating lately (which for some reason includes Billie Eilish???). Then they review which TTPD songs were added to which stage of heartbreak and share their thoughts on each placement.

With so much to talk about in this episode, the girls struggle to keep their thoughts in order. It should come as no surprise to anyone that this week's session focuses entirely on The Eras Tour (Taylor's Newest Version). Brianna and Paije discuss all of the many changes made to the setlist and share their opinions on the Tortured Poets set, otherwise known as Female Rage: The Musical.
In this week's session, the girls are going back into the asylum to revisit Taylor's latest album. With lots of mixed reviews out there, Brianna, Paije, and Janine discuss their thoughts on what the media has had to say about the album, and they share their own rankings now that the album has had some time to settle.
A chaotic weekend has led to this chaotic episode, in which Brianna, Paije, and Janine review the evidence presented by The Chairman herself. Taylor's surprise release of The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology gave the girls plenty to talk about. Without further ado, we hereby conduct this post mortem...
It is T-minus one week until The Tortured Poets Department changes the world forever, and this week's session is dedicated to the chaotic playlists that Taylor just launched. After discussing some of the *super messy* rumors that have recirculated about Joe and some potential infidelity, Brianna and Paije discuss their thoughts on Taylor's selections for each stage of heartbreak. They share their own picks (which they chose before Taylor even debuted these playlists!) and analyze the implications of some of the song choices on these playlists.
With Taylor's newest album on the horizon, the girls decide to take a look back at Taylor's first self-owned album. This week's session is dedicated to the somewhat overlooked, but all too crucial, album Lover. In this episode, Brianna and Paije talk about what this album signified in Taylor's career, as well as unpack all of the "Easter eggs" that her and Joe might not have been as rock solid as fans had assumed they were.

In honor of one of Taylor's most recent, chaotic mash-ups, this week's session is dedicated to Taylor's most vulnerable song off of folklore. After a relatively short news segment, the girls take a deep dive into the cascade ocean wave blues of the song "peace." Brianna, Paije, and Janine discuss the song's (now, somewhat ironic) message and their personal connections to the song.

What do you mean Taylor is releasing a new album? What do you mean she's been working on it for two years?? What do you mean track five is called "So Long, London"??? In this week's session, the girls freak out over all the new developments that have occurred since they last recorded. In their longest episode yet, Brianna, Paije, and Janine discuss everything from the Grammys to the Super Bowl and share all of their many predictions/expectations for Taylor's newest surprise: The Tortured Poets Department.
*This episode was recorded prior to the Grammys, so for obvious reasons, it does not include any discussion of The Tortured Poets Department announcement or the track list. Please come back in two weeks to hear our reactions and thoughts/predictions!*
This week’s session focuses on Taylor’s most famous forgiveness track. After a lengthy news segment that begins with a very intense discussion of the recent AI photos of Taylor, the girls dive into the lyrics of the song Innocent and share their thoughts on how this song has changed since its debut.

This session is dedicated to all of Taylor's happy, fun, feel good songs! While these songs are often less appreciated, the girls give them plenty of love in this episode. Brianna and Paije share all of their favorites and talk about what they love about the unserious side of Taylor Swift.

Welcome back! The girls are here for their first episode of the new year, and it takes them a beat to get back into the swing of things. The session starts with a long rant about the Golden Globes (featuring a much needed tirade about glory that is the Barbie movie). Next, Paije shares her song choices to summarize her 2023 and the songs she's manifesting for 2024. As always, Brianna and Janine helpfully derail the conversation with lots of personal tangents. Finally, the girls play some lyric themed games that they hope you enjoy. Welcome to the Year of the Girl!

In the last session of the year, Brianna and Janine host their first duo episode without Paije, who is unfortunately sick, and they had a lot to say about this past year! Whether you celebrate Honda-Days or Toyota-Thon, all celebrations are welcome in this episode dedicated to Taylor's Holiday album. After a much shorter news segment than in weeks past, the girls share their thoughts on Taylor's "Sounds of the Season" and speculate on why she hasn't released it as a Taylor's Version yet. Brianna and Janine also share what songs they believe perfectly encapsulate 2023 for them, as well as the three songs they are manifesting for 2024!

What do lobsters, farts, and some guy named Justin have in common? They’re all a part of misheard lyrics from Taylor’s songs! This week’s session is dedicated to all of the hard-to-hear lines in Taylor’s music. After a lengthy discussion of Taylor’s TIME Magazine Person of the Year feature article, Brianna and Paije share their own misunderstood lyrics, along with the internet’s most common ones.

Now that the calendar officially says December, it's the perfect time to blast Taylor's beloved apology track: Back to December. In this week's session, Brianna and Paije discuss this severely underrated song. After another incredibly detailed news segment, the girls share all their favorite parts of the song and dive into Taylor's emotional maturity that she displays in the lyrics.
To skip the news segment and get right to meat and potatoes of the topic, feel free to jump forward to 47:30.
This week’s news segment is extra long after all of the developments from the Brazil shows. After they cover all of the news, the girls give some love to the under-appreciated 1989 (Taylor's Version) vault track: Suburban Legends. Brianna, Paije, and Janine discuss all the theories about how this song could be interpreted-- and they have quite a few differing opinions!
It's the season of evermore! This week's session is dedicated to the oft forgotten sister album of folklore. Despite what the internet says, Taylor has confirmed she does *not* hate evermore, and neither do these Swifties! In this episode, Brianna and Paije share what is was like to hear about this surprise album, and they fan-girl pretty hard over all of their favorite tracks.
This weeks session is all about Taylor’s best bridges! After the surprise pairing of “Out of the Woods” and “Is it Over Now?” this past weekend, the girls discuss Taylor’s special gift for constructing the world’s most incredible bridges. After they finish discussing all of the craziness from the Buenos Aires shows, Brianna, Paije, and Janine share all their favorite bridges— some of which may be a bit controversial!
In this week's session, Brianna and Paije take more than a few wrong turns through the vault tracks of 1989 (Taylor's Version). Listen along as the girls share their favorite lines from all the vault tracks and discuss how kind it was of Taylor to spare Harold Edward Styles from these sick burns back in 2014.
The long awaited release of 1989 (Taylor's Version) is finally upon us, and the girls were beyond excited. In the first half of the episode (recorded prior to the release), Brianna, Paije, and Janine speculate wildly about theories and expectations--most of which turned out to be completely incorrect. After actually listening to the album, they share all their thoughts and reactions to what actually happened.

In their longest episode yet, the girls dive into the differences between male and female friendships and share all their favorite songs about friendship (all kinds of friendship). Hopefully this inspires us all to make more friendship bracelets!

After last week's tour through Taylor's longest song, the girls tackle Taylor's longest album: Red (Taylor's Version). In this week's session, Brianna, Paije, and Janine talk about their favorites, their skips, and all of their unpopular opinions. Welcome to Sad Girl Autumn!
For the first session of the fall season, the girls dive into the ultimate anthem of the season: All Too Well (Ten Minute Version). This week, Brianna and Paije spend a lot more than ten minutes talking about Taylor's magnum opus. Cozy up with some hot chocolate and your favorite scarf because it's finally fall!
In this week's session, the girls officially welcome Janine back, part-time, and she certainly brought the chaos with her. In a hot mess of an episode, Brianna, Paije, and Janine try to keep the topic focused on Taylor's newest track five: You're On Your Own, Kid. However, they frequently lose the plot and end up with a partial analysis of the song intermixed with quite a few barely coherent tangents.
**Trigger warning: Mentions of suicide, 46:47-50:51**
This week's session is all about Taylor's most recent child, Midnights! Co-hosts, Brianna and Paije, discuss all their favorite parts of the album. They also compare the expectations they had for Midnights as a concept album with the reality of the songs.
This week's session is dedicated entirely to August (the song, not the month--of course). Brianna and Paije dive into the lyrics of this summertime anthem and discuss *that* Eras Tour performance.
The girls are back with an extra special 13th episode. In fact, it was so special, they recorded it twice! This week's session is chock full of special guest stars and games galore! Give this episode a listen, and play along at home.
After several long weeks of clowning, this week's session is finally dedicated to the big announcement we all hoped was coming: 1989 (Taylor's Version)! Brianna and Paije talk all things 1989 TV, including their reactions to all the new outfits at the LA shows and which tracks they are most excited to hear in October.
In this week’s session, the girls head back to high school as they discuss the teenage love triangle at the heart of Taylor’s 8th studio album, folklore! Brianna rants about the immaturity of teenage boys, and Paije shares all the fun facts she has about the songs and their lyrical parallels.
In this week's session, Brianna and Paije discuss something completely unique to the Swiftie community: Track Fives. The girls share why track fives are so important, which ones are their favorites, which ones might have missed the mark, and so much more!
Get in loser, we're dismantling the patriarchy! Buckle up because in this week's episode, Brianna and Paije take another lyrical deep dive-- only this time, it comes with a side of feminist rants as Brianna analyzes the lyrics to mad woman. This analysis also comes with a free lesson on the origins of certain words, plus a crash course in Victorian literature!
In this week's session, Brianna and Paije really delve into the vault tracks from Speak Now (Taylor's Version). Paije also figures out her TRUE favorite album. Is it really Speak Now, as she's always thought? Or will she have an identity crisis in real time? Listen to find out!

Speak Now (Taylor's Version) and... Koo Koo Kanga Roo? In a chaotic return for her first guest appearance, Janine treats everyone to her own rendition of a children's rap as the girls recount the hilarious and exciting details of their Speak Now listening party. This week's session is all about the much anticipated release of Speak Now (Taylor's Version), and it comes with quite a few detours and tangents thanks to all the emotion and nostalgia that comes with it.
Do you listen to music for the sound or for the lyrics? In this week's session, Brianna and Paije will be answering this exact question! During an exciting game of "Shakespeare or Taylor Swift?", a super special guest star will make his first appearance on the pod (spoiler: it's Brianna's boyfriend).
After a two week hiatus, Swiftie Sessions is back with a brand new episode! During the session, Brianna and Paije (sadly, without Janine) discuss all the new things that happened since they've been gone. Paije fan girls over the Speak Now vault tracks, and Brianna breaks out her English teacher skills to give an in-depth lyrical analysis of Taylor's newest, and arguably most heart wrenching, song: You're Losing Me.
In a much more serious episode, Brianna, Paije, and Janine try to tackle the giant elephant in the Swiftie Fandom: Matty Healy.
Trigger warning: This episode contains mention of racism, homophobia, misogyny, violence against women, and Islamophobia.
Brianna, Paije, and Janine are back, exhausted and losing their voices, but they are ecstatic to share their experiences from the Eras Tour in Philly! This week's episode is extra special, as it features fan interviews live from Lincoln Financial Field. The girls share all their favorite moments from the show, as well as their tips and tricks for maximizing your time at the concert. Please enjoy this week's (extra long) session!

This week, Brianna, Paije, and Janine discuss all of their hopes and dreams for the concert, which they fully expect Taylor to exceed! It's been a long 5 years since they've last seen Ms. Swift live and in person, and these girls are tired of all of this silence and patience, pining in anticipation. Please enjoy their second session!
In their first ever episode, Brianna, Paije, and Janine awkwardly try to figure out how to host a podcast with absolutely no training whatsoever! These (slightly unhinged) fans just want to share their love of Taylor Swift with the world. Join them on this journey as they reminisce about when and where they became fans. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll probably want to call a mental health professional to help them. Please enjoy the first ever Swiftie Session!
