Back in the 1990's we had tonnes of handheld gaming devices on offer, Nintendo Game Boys, SEGA GameGear, Atari Lynx, Neo Geo Pocket & more... Slowly, over the years, handheld devices diminished until it was just Nintendo & Sony left, until Sony decided to leave the race too crowning Nintendo as king.
Fast forward to now and we're seeing a resurgence of handheld gaming, in our opinion paved by the success of Nintendo's hybrid console, the Nintendo Switch. We have tonnes of PC based Windows handhelds on offer with the newest being ASUS's entry, the ROG Ally, retro emulation devices, a rumoured new Sony PlayStation handheld, codenamed: Q-Lite, Valve's Steam Deck and a brand new Nintendo Switch to be announced at any moment...
