Producer & Sunset Roundtable host Drew Dempsey sits down in legendary studio 2 with Cherry Glazerr for one of the greatest interviews to date. Guitarist and singer Clementine Creevy is ?Cherry Glazerr? and Cherry Glazerr is an American rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 2013. Clem's sound has transitioned from lo-fi and garage rock on her debut release Haxel Princess in 2014 to a more polished rock sound, with elements of grunge, punk and new wave on their subsequent releases Apocalipstick and Stuffed & Ready. Apocalipstick was produced and engineered by Joe Chiccarelli who resides here at the Sunset complex. This is just a fun goofy interview, so chill out.

Legendary Recording Engineer, Studio Owner, Speaker Design, Record Producer & Businessman Allen Sides sits down with Drew Dempsey in Studio 2 at Sunset Sound as well as special guests, 10x Grammy Winning Recording Engineer & Producer Joe Chiccarelli as well as Sunset Sound studio owner Paul Camarata. Allen began his Ocean Way Recording in a garage in Santa Monica, California, in 1968, as a place to showcase his custom monitors. From these humble beginnings the empire expanded to include partnering with Bill Putnam and acquiring his United Recording Studio in Hollywood, and building state of the art recording facilities in Nashville, St. Barths, and nearby Sherman Oaks. The Ocean Way "brand" also includes Allen's high-end (and excellent sounding) monitors, a unique and affordable microphone, excellent UAD plug-ins, drum samples, and even an iPad/iPhone app. Allen is also well known for being a meticulous engineer/producer, having worked with such artists as Phil Collins, Green Day, Eric Clapton, Faith Hill, Wynonna Judd, Beck, Mary J. in 1988 Mike Piersante was a young drummer in the LA area. That same year he would be hired as a studio runner at Sunset Sound, a moment that would be step 1 of the rest of his life and that would set a path for decades to come. Mike received a compliment one afternoon from Sunset Sound founder Tutti Camarata, stating that he would be a "great engineer" one day. That set Mike on fire and would do everything he could and then some to do just that... become a "great engineer" one day. After getting picked up by T Bone Burnett in the early 90's to be his engineer, Mike would go on to work with the biggest artist's, bands and films of all time. Recording albums for Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Robert Plant, John Mellencamp among so many others. Not to mention the films Mike has engineered including Walk The Line, The Big Lebowski, O Brother Where Art Thou & Inside Llewyn Davis. Sound Techniques Owner, Danny White is no stranger to a challenge. In 2015 he purchased the company Sound Techniques which was responsible for making one of the most premier and top level recording consoles throughout 1965- 1974. At 84 years of age, Don Randi is still playing piano and is still sharp as a tack. He sat down in studio 1 at Sunset Sound to share his life story of playing in Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound", The Wrecking Crew, Brian Wilson, and The Beach Boys and so much more.

He has played on over 4,000 tracks and Don gives insight to the "studio musicians" of the 1960s and even sits down at the piano he bought for Sunset Sound in 1960 to play his original "Mexican Pearls". Don still plays piano at his LA club The Baked Potato and is an eternal treasure to music.

Van Halen November kicks off at Sunset Sound with Engineer/Producer/Author/Historian Brian Kehew coming in to Studio 2 for an amazing informative discussion. Brian was introduced to us at Sunset Sound through Ted Templeman biographer Greg Renoff just last week. He told us he had been in the Warner Brothers vault when he was hired to go through all the Van Halen outtakes and unreleased audio and we asked if he could come in studio that day. Below the notes is time sequences for segments. Mark Jacobs is a Director, a Cinematographer and a Journalist, but he?s much much more. He?s a beautiful person who has led a fascinating life, to which I myself use as a motto of motivation, to work with honesty, integrity and knowledge. He?s done it all in his profession and off camera is where the real story of intrigue lies. Starting in the Mob Infested Las Vegas of the 70?s in the Howard Hughes owned news rooms of KLAS in his early teens, he soon rose to the knowledge and experimentation to quickly land him in more senior positions before he had reached 20 years of age! Truly shooting "Reality" before it was the term we associate it with today. Having a father that was worked with the mob and just so happened to also be casino gangster, Lefty Rosenthal?s right hand man. And with his mother being the top show girl of Vegas at the time, his life is a truly a movie that just hasn't been shot yet. The 90?s led Mark to newsrooms in San Diego and on to Hollywood to direct television for some of the biggest shows in history. The coolest thing about this interview is that Mark has never gave an on camera bio interview like this before, and he gave it to ME! All Access! Me! A 2nd yr film student who he only met once before at Rob Dyrdeks house while he was directing Season 1 of the MTV mega hit Rob and Big. At that time little did I know that Mark was working on his masterpiece, a documentary about quadriplegic surfer Jesse Billauer, entitled "Jesses Story", which for me is one of the most motivating beautiful documentaries, that shows the true test of the human spirit to be able to rise above the one of the greatest tragedies and adversities ever. This interview has everything for any viewer or listener.

I sit down in Studio 2 @ legendary Sunset Sound Recorders in Hollywood, CA with one of the top touring drummers today, Johnny Radelat from the Gary Clark Jr band.  He started off growing up in Miami to then college at the University of Florida, eventually a move to Austin, TX to drum for the legendary group The Greyhounds. Then the formation of the Gary Clark Jr band in 2011 to as we know it today.  My favorite moment is  a memorable Red Rocks story of why his favorite venue was so crazy this time around.
