Adapted from the Broadway play, this movie takes place in a dilapidated duplex in Manhattan as the Blake family gets together for a Thanksgiving dinner. 2019's Midsommar starring our QUEEN Florence Pugh is a beautifully horrific film about a couple that travel to Sweden in hopes of an exciting vacation, only to find themselves the center of a once-every-90-years ritual within a pagan cult. This movie offers more than your typical dark, shadow laden horror film in both visuals and story. Is this Florence Pugh's A1 Act? Also, I can't believe we could've bought that bear suit... talk about a missed opportunity!

2018's Hereditary was Ari Aster's directorial debut which is pretty dang impressive. The most commercially successful A24 film to date, this movie found a cult success among its divided audience reception. Welcome to 24 Minutes of A24, the weekly podcast that reviews the A24 library of films, 24 minutes at a time! Hosted by Ben Lawhorn of Three Films and a Podcast and Ethan Simmie of 15 Minutes of Marvel, this podcast gives you the best A24 content in the podcasting world.

What better way to kick off the show than with one of, if not the single, greatest A24 film? Ben and Ethan review the one and only Uncut Gems, the frantic 2019 masterpiece written and directed by the Safdie brothers! The guys talk about their experience seeing the film in theaters for the first time and try to figure out if we failed as a society by not giving the Sandman an Oscar.

Each show of the podcast will follow a general layout of reviewing the movie at hand, with True Cinema! being our favorite moment or scene from the film, A1 Act taking a look at tons of different aspects of the film and determining if this is their "A1 Act", and an A24 ranking in which we use A24 titles to rank our affection for a film.
