#184 - Lounge Mix - Enjoyed

Enjoyed is based in a sleepy town called Soldridge in Hampshire. He makes electronic music; colourful, accessible and BIG.

The tunes come from a love of the House/Italo/Electro background that spawned 90s stadium dance legends Underworld and The Chemical Brothers. Some bring in more poppy song structures and touch on the SMD/LCD/HotChip sphere. Others range across through the Daniel Avery and Fort Romeau?s dancefloor gold into the more interesting end of poppy territory (Sky Ferreira, Charlie XCX).

In the last year, he?s just got better and better and received nods from Rob DaBank, Dummy, Guardian, FACT and more and Enjoyed has reworked Hot Chip, Kisses, TVOTR and Yumi Zouma and, oh yes, Mark Morrison.

He has released a number of EPs and is now working on his debut album. Enjoyed will be playing live this summer.

#180 - Electro House Mix - Syn Cole

From Estonia to the heart of modern dance music, Syn Cole has wasted no time setting his name in stone as an essential young breakout. Celebrated by Myspace, Vibe, Dancing Astronaut and EDM Tunes alike as one of the hottest artists of 2014, this is a year for the taking for the man behind a consistent string of versatile club hits.

#178 - Drum and Bass Mix - Body & Soul

The D&B duo Body & Soul have been dedicated to the dance floor-smashing beats their audience loves them for since their introduction into the scene many years ago. For Body & Soul though the ability to keep crossing musical (and mental) borders, experimenting with different musical genres and throwing in new sounds to create something just a little different from your usual drum and bass anthem is essential. The outfit has become known for their versatile and unprecedented sounds that wow ravers all over the globe and attract new audiences everywhere they go.

Since their debut in 2004 Body & Soul have been honing their abilities in creating music that at once both adheres to and subverts the traditional definition of the term ?Drum & Bass?; a dystopian sound that for all its aggression and energy carries that distinct Body & Soul eccentricity and melody throughout. Having toyed with the idea of an album project for a number of years, the duo are now ready to release their debut long-player Rebirth: the most diverse, free-form and comprehensive exponent of the Body & Soul sound to date.

#177 - Electro House Mix - Cappa Regime

Cappa Regime is a creative collective composed of Jake Kasheta, Shane Sherzai, Richard Nash (Rykr), Rob Enea (Erratic), and Charlie Doughan. With complementary production skills and a mastery of instruments ranging from piano to drums to guitar, they are endeavoring to break out of the "banger" soundscape that EDM has constructed for itself.

In the studio, they aren't confined to a single genre, and channel influences as disparate as The Isley Brothers and E40. They produce melodic, expectation defying tracks to keep bodies moving and fresh minds blown. This year, Cappa Regime played a West Coast tour culminating in a play at Coachella, and were also chosen to play at EDC Las Vegas and Beyond Wonderland. Their live show is an energetic amalgamation of many dance genres; they integrate urban, vintage, and modern electronic dance elements throughout, so it has something for everyone.

Their most recent remix of James Egbert?s Exit Wounds was endorsed by the artist, and hailed as ?brilliant? by They also just released a 2 track EP with Play Me Records. #176 - Drum and Bass Mix - Madcap

Madcap (Elliot Payne) started DJing in the early 90's. Son of a Rock N' Roll Musician Father & Piano teaching Mother, he was exposed to music from a very young age. Being so young was a stumbling block at first, but this changed in the summer of '95 when securing a job at local record shop Buzz Records, High Wycombe. This was associated with DJ Pulse and the influential Creative Wax label. Meeting with punters and promoters alike, Madcap soon found himself being booked up & down the UK for sets, including the infamous Sanctuary in Milton Keynes.

One particular highlight of his DJing career so far was winning the Movement / Technics DJ Competition in 2002 at The End Night-club, as featured in DJ Magazine, this resulted in several bookings for Movement at London's Bar Rumba & across the Capital. Other notable features on Madcap is his appearance in The West Country's IDJ Magazine January 2004 after winning "Mix Tape of the Month" The competitions certainly helped and has continued to get him bookings throughout the UK. Madcap has had several long term residencies in Oxford, London, Aylesbury & now Birmingham (Liquid Sessions).

#170 - Lounge Mix - Oskar Schuster

Oskar Schuster's purely instrumental music is at times reminiscent of "Amélie", evoking an atmosphere that reminds one of France, Paris, Valses and musette music. Several times referred to as "the german Yann Tiersen", his music is still very distinct, arising from a mixture of various influences including experimental electronic music (Aphex Twin, Pogo), the minimalist folk-pop of Beirut, the ethereal and mystical sounds of Sigur Rós as well as classical piano music by Robert Schumann and Frédéric Chopin. As a true self-made artist, he not only plays almost all the instruments and produces the music by himself, but also designs the artwork by himself.

Schuster's music takes the listener into a world of its own. The soft, muted sound of an old piano mixes with the noises of just as old typewriters, analogue cameras and radios while in the distance you hear a music box playing and a synthesizer creaking. However, Oskar Schuster does not merely fiddle with interesting sounds and noises but creates clearly structured pieces with catchy melodies. Melodies you seem to remember from early childhood days or long-forgotten dreams, at the same time sad and joyful, euphoric and exuberant, nostalgic, thought-provoking and always kind of melancholic.

#168 - Electro House Mix - Kastra

Hailing from Asbury Park, NJ, a town deeply rooted in rock history, Kastra (Ray Decker) is a true product of his environment. It was his early exposure to this prolific rock scene and the raw sounds of legends like Bruce Springsteen that influenced Kastra by shaping his musical taste and nurturing a deep desire to produce and perform his own brand of raw and exciting electronic music.

From the young age of 14, Ray began composing simple guitar melodies. Building his music knowledge and learning to play various other instruments like bass and drums, Kastra was on his way to becoming a well-known musician in his own right. It was after a chance encounter with genre-bending music trailblazers Ghostland Observatory at Bonnaroo that Kastra was first exposed to experimental electronic music and was immediately drawn to it.

Kastra?s early success has not halted his enthusiastic work ethic. He released the "SPANK!" EP for free in the Summer of 2013 which resonated with his fans and is featured in DJ sets globally. He also is in the second year of his podcast for the The Drop radio with his good friend and fellow producer Aylen. His ongoing pursuit to creatively, and musically express himself to his growing fan base have sent him back into the studio. #159 - Electro House Mix - WHYEL

It all started by watching DJ Q-Bert destroying it on the tables, followed shortly after by Tiesto lighting up a crowd.  This was the inspiration needed for what led to an ongoing journey, a purpose, a movement, a lifestyle.  This was the beginnings of a young DJ/producer known today as Whyel.

Years of hard work and dedication finally paid off when Whyel was contacted by rising superstar DJ Deorro and signed to PandaFunk Records/Crazyness Ent. With the PandaFam behind him, Whyel began to establish a sound and style he could truly call his own. His debut single "Ray Ban" was quickly scooped up and signed to Dim Mak Records, and has since generated mass amounts of support from big names such as Hardwell, Martin Garrix, Nicky Romero, Carnage, Dillion Francis, Deorro, and many more.

This is only the beginning for Whyel and his future couldn?t look more promising. With his signature "Moombah" switch ups and big anthem drops, Whyel keeps his listeners dancing both on and off the dancefloor.  From his corky personality to his passion for music, Whyel has all the criteria needed to become the superstar he has always dreamed!

#155 - Drum and Bass Mix - Machine Code

Machine Code (aka Current Value & Dean Rodell) is a project formed out of true respect and passion for dance music with its origins deep-rooted in Techno. Neither artist needs introduction to any of the scenes they have been busy infiltrating, as these two heavy-weights of underground electronica have been continually releasing tight cuts and forward thinking music for over 20 years between them to date.

Following the release Machine Code's first, forward thinking LP - 'Environments'; which comprised a slab of heavy and experimental and cross-over takes on DnB, Techno and Dubstep - they are once again fresh from working the machines at their own Subdivision Studio in Berlin. A fresh munitions stockpile is ready to be broadcast to and inflicted upon audiences worldwide. Machine Code live's ideal is to bring it back to that original and fresh sound with a true manipulated modular synthesis approach.

They are ready to crush sound systems in their path with relentlessly rushing and hypnotic DnB, lung collapsing Dubstep and dark clanging Techno derived from the darkest depths of their abused machinery.

#149 - Electro House Mix - King Kornelius

Neil Hatherall, the man behind the King Kornelius moniker, is a self taught EDM producer residing in Ontario Canada. First entering the electronic music scene in 2010 he has since been busy building his throne made of epic melodies, heavy bass lines and pounding drums; All of which are bred together to create an emotional roller coaster music addicts flock to.

Ironically choosing a career that entirely revolves around his ears, Neil has suffered from hearing problems since childhood. A condition that prevents fluid in the inner ear from draining properly means he experiences distorted/muffled hearing, ear pain and tinnitus. Despite this obstacle often present while creating and performing music, Neil perseveres toward his goals of world-wide recognition.

Rather than following footsteps, Neil is dedicated to creating his own path to success. A desire to be known for having a unique style of music forces him to create it all from scratch. He hand makes and designs all his synths and sounds, never using a preset or any sampled sounds with out some kind of modulation or effects processing. This can range from constructing his kick drums from a set of 4 or 5 different samples, to field recording and incorporating his own samples and sound effects. Or from layering synths with lengthy effects chains, to writing, performing and recording his own vocals and live instruments. Neil believes this to be the only way to create a truly original style of music, and the world is well on it's way to recognizing him for it.

In just 3 years, the King Kornelius name has over 42 Beatport releases on 23 renown record labels including Bug Eyed, Burn the Fire, and Big Fish. An EP 'It's time to die!' reached #3 in the top 100 releases in the beatport Electro House category. The single, 'Regicide,' made it to #12 in the drum and bass category, and a collaboration with BC's Soulfix and Australian vocalist, Jay Jacob, entitled 'Broken" reached #14 in the dubstep top 100. With many other chart toppers under his belt, and lots more to come, King Kornelius has establish validity to his name. And despite hearing issues, Neil pushes through to show the world what he is made of.

#143 - Electro House Mix - Kronic

Built to party and conquer the world, Kronic is Australia?s most reckless entertainer. Fueled by an appetite for antics and an alarming disregard for personal safety, his electronically sequenced on-stage acrobatics take dj?ing to the next level, leaving crowds everywhere throbbing, engorged and yearning for more.

With a cult following built from his series of bootleg mix tapes, it seems almost a lifetime ago that Kronic was one of Australia?s hip hop DJ elite, constantly traversing the lands, bringing the party to the furthest corners of the nation. Five years on, with tour supports for LMFAO, Afrojack, David Guetta, Snoop Dogg & Lil Jon notched into his bed post, alongside lanyards from Creamfields and Future Music Festival slung over the door, it?s obvious that Kronic has more than a foot in the EDM world.

Transitioning from professional party-starter to production prodigy, it?s Kronic?s antics in the studio that have him commanding attention of late. After face planting into the ARIA Club Chart Top Ten with 2012?s Looking For Some Girls (feat. Bombs Away) (#7 Aria Club Chart), and the #11 follow up Watup Bitch, present day 2013 has Kronic spreading his wings, notching up remixes for fellow Aussie EDM heroes Dirt Cheap [Hussle], Bombs Away [Central], Chardy & Andy Murphy [Hussle]. Remix duties aside, it?s Kronic original productions that have been turning heads of late. S.W.A.T. Team (with Chardy) saw Kronic reach Top 20 territory on Beatport, and earn support from Bingo Players, Hardwell, Tommie Sunshine, Sidney Samson, Deorro and more. Their follow up, Kavorka, became Kronic?s biggest record to date ? reaching #12 on Beatport?s Electro House charts, and peaking at #5 on the Aria Club Charts. Not to mention Uberkron, a bass-heavy experimental collaboration with fellow Adelaide anarchist Uberjak?d, that snuck into the Beatport Top 40 Electro House releases.

After touring the country (again!) with Tom Piper on Ministry of Sound?s Addicted to Bass tour, Kronic has relocated to Sydney and is already hard at work, producing a monthly pod cast Handstands & Hangovers, and locking in studio time alongside Krunk!, Seany B, Static Revenger, Apocalypto and more.

#141 - Drum and Bass Mix - Command Strange

Hailing from the sunny land of Kazakhstan musician and producer Alexey Fuifanov, now based in Saint Petersburg, better known as Command Strange has already become a household name for all lovers of musical side of drum and bass. Having got acquainted with jungle in the tender age of 7 it didn?t take a while for him to get into production. Developing and improving his sound and being only 16 years old Command Strange released his first tunes. Sweet melodic productions full of positive vibes equipped by beautiful soul, jazzy and funky samples quickly gained support from scene?s heavyweights like LTJ Bukem, Marky, Goldie, Bryan G, JJ Frost, A Sides, Hype, Fabio & Grooverider, Crissy Criss, Friction, Artificial Intelligence, Netsky, EZ Rollers, Bailey and others with regular airplay on BBC RADIO 1 and across plenty of web radio stations. After successful singles on Have-A-Break and Fokuz in the beginning of 2010 Command Strange unsurprisingly has been offered an album deal for Fokuz. In November 2010 «Soul Booster» LP described by Kmag as «some of the lushest beats you can imagine» saw a light of the day. Alexey continues to experiment with his sound, somewhat deviating from the usual tasty liquid funk grooves and bringing his vision of jump up, techy and new school areas that can already be seen in the published in late 2011 second solo album "Episode 91" on the same Fokuz Recordings and vinyl singles on Grid and Integral Records.

2012-2013 saw Command Strange changing a focus and broadening a spectrum of his production even more into tight new school beats with rough and nasty basslines. Releases on Horizons, Integral and V Records including a massive achievement in a form of dirty deep roller written with Artificial Intelligence for Metalheadz Platinum cemented Command Strange's position as one of the most promising and versatile producers on the scene.

Currently, being only 22 years old, Alexey has over 100 released tracks under his belt including more than 35 vinyl releases. #137 - Drum and Bass Mix - Levela

After years of learning the art of DJ'ing from his older brother, a 13 year old Levela wanted to know how the tracks were made so he tried his hand at production. Spending each and every waking minute in the studio, Levela began to build a large back catalogue of tracks that he believed were good enough quality to release to the public. So he sent several demo CDs & e-mails to a number of labels for some feedback. Soon after this, DJ Phantasy from Easy Records spotted the young talent and invited him to work exclusively with his label. For 5 years, DJ Phantasy became like a mentor to Levela by giving him production tips and guiding him into the D'n'B scene by setting up collaborations with high profile names like Skibadee, Funsta and Harry Shotta to name a few. This brought about Levela's debut solo 12" on Easy Records "Dubstyle Ft MC Funsta" & "Stamina" followed by the hugely successful 5 track "Stark Ravin' Mad EP" which topped the Drum'n'Bass Arena Album Charts as well as taking the top 5 places on the Nu Urban Download Charts. Other releases throughout this time include his collaborations with Dub Zero entitled "Overdrive" & "Messy" which also reached no 1 on the DNBA charts, no 1 on the Nu Urban Download Charts and was a hand picked, Featured Release on

These releases saw Levela get many DJ bookings all over the UK and Europe as well as becoming a resident DJ for Innovation and Devotion events. Levela has performed to tens of thousands of people over the last few years in a number of different countries including Germany, Belgium, Spain, Holland, Czech Republic and Austria. Crissy Criss from BBC 1xtra has supported several of Levela's tracks on his weekly radio show as well as having extensive club play from almost every major DJ in the scene. April 2010 saw Levela set up his own record label, Multi Function Music, which has consistently released tracks from himself as well as other up'n'coming and established artists, with each release hitting the sales charts without fail. Soon coming up to release number 32, Multi Function Music is going from strength to strength with high profile artists wanting to work with the label.

In 2010, the dubstep A-Lister Datsik head hunted Levela and suggested they work together on a few projects which brought around the highly anticipated "Levela Drumstep Remix" of Datsik's biggest track to date, "Firepower". This track was supported by Excision, Datsik, Skrillex, Downlink and many others before being released on Excision's label Rottun Records in April 2011. More recently, Levela has remixed for Benny Page, Dope Ammo, Konichi & Decimal Bass (Annix) & more.
