Cyrus, king of Persia, made proclamation throughout all his kingdom. The Lord God of heaven hath charged me to build Him a house at Jerusalem. Who is there among you of His people? Let him go up to Jerusalem and build the house of the Lord God of Israel. And whosoever remaineth in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and gold, and goods, and with beasts, besides the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem. - Then rose up the chief of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, to go up to Jerasalem. And all they that were about them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, goods, beasts, and previous things. Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem, and had put them in the house of his gods. And Jeshua (the High-priest) and Zerubbabel (a Prince of the house of David) led the people. The whole congregation was 42,360 persons, beside their servants and their maids, of whom there were 7337. You can read the actual account in Ezra 1,10 and Nehemiah 1-13 in the Bible. #Biblestory #historystory #storiesforchildren #storiesforadults ✝️❤️👨👩👧👦 AcreSoft Story Classic
