You might be asking yourself…what is the difference between a daemon and a demon.
Well, according to my research, The essential difference between a "daemon" and a "demon" is that a daemon is any spirit, good or bad, including the spirit of a living human, while a demon is exclusively a bad spirit. A daemon can also be controlled if you know the daemon’s name which according to other folklore is also applicable to demons. But hey, it's homebrew so I’m sure the DM in this case provided more background.
Still, what a hill to die on because of a miscommunication.
Have you ever had someone ruin a game of DND because they didn’t hear something correctly?

So much to unpack here…I love the idea of a multi-level marketing bard with a bunch of schemes. Selling timeshares in the underdark or selling the most fashion forward leather leggings. Or “real” damascus steel knives…So many possibilities…

Honestly…it sounds like the DM did exactly what the players wanted him to do. And I absolutely love the twist about needing to die to find the other relic. From my perspective it doesn’t look like the DM did anything wrong.

What in the alt-right history is this? I actually really enjoy the idea of modern day campaigns, one of my all time favorites that I played was a Red Dawn style GURPS game where we built ourselves as characters and wolvered all over the red devils that decided to invade. It was a blast. What it didn’t have was my little insurgent group aligned with nazis…

I feel like we should make shirts that say, “I finished a six year campaign and all I got was this baby”. What a complete failure on the DMs part. How narrow minded and simple to think that the only meaningful contribution or plot device a female character can have is “get pregnant”. Here is some advice, treat female characters exactly like male characters. It’s really that simple. Tell me what you think in a comment down below!

DND is supposed to be an environment for shared storytelling, fun, adventures, and good times. It isn’t for you to insert your anime kinks onto your players without their consent or ability to stop the creepiness you are forcing onto their characters. The DM crossed multiple lines and hopefully learned a valuable lesson from his players leaving the table. Tell me what you think in a comment down below!

Unfortunately for the player, death happens. Often actually. If he, or the party did nothing to reposition or draw the attention of the wraith onto another member then honestly what could they expect to happen? As a DM I treat combat similarly and realistically. If a creature is attacking a party member they will continue to do so unless something else draws its attention. I vote this DM is not the a-hole. What do you think? Do you agree or disagree? Let me know in the comments below.

Handling PVP or CvC in Dungeons and Dragons is a really tricky, slippery slope of upset players and frustrated DMs. Personally I have a hardline of zero pvp in my games. What are your thoughts on PvP has it gone well? Terribly? Please share your experiences in the comments below!

It really is wholesome that DND, a fun fantasy game of wizards, warriors, and dice can change a person's perspective on the real world and the people coexist alongside us. Kudos to this DM for really helping his players see this differently in a positive way. The argument about playing a woman and not being a woman was absolutely brilliant.

Have you ever had a home brew spell completely backfire and end your campaign or is this a first? For the second story I am agreeing with the player here. A player will completely control a prior NPC as a PC differently than the DM was. They are, after all, completely different people. What do you think and has a DM ever changed NPC on you completely altering your roleplay and story?

I really like the campaign setting. A hopeless now win situation that is almost certain death for your party. I wonder how the campaign would have gone if they had rolled poorly on getting that note out to the outside world…It’s always a win when the players manage to foil the GM’s plan in a genuine, non-meta game, non-hostile way. Share your stories about outsmarting your GM!

It’s so strange to me that people are mad about finite resources or their being consequences for your actions in a game that is determined by…your actions. I understand some players just want the power fantasy and approach DND like a video game and their only interest is blowing up monsters and getting loot. I may be biased because I don’t run games that way or have any interest in playing in a game like that. What do you think? Do you run games that have consequences for your decisions? To be clear, there is no wrong way to play, I want to hear what you think!

It’s so refreshing to get to hear both sides of a conflict. In my opinion the DM didn’t properly articulate the lethality of this campaign. I wasn’t there but from the world setting and the rarity of diamonds I would imagine player death’s would be pretty rare or the DM would have told them to bring a stack of character sheets because this is going to be a meat grinder.
But I am glad that the DM recognized that they didn’t do a good enough job explaining the world and allowing the player to come back as a reborn.
So, in my opinion, a happy ending that the community came together to help resolve. I consider that win.

How quickly the roll of the dice can turn a villain into an inconsequential bump in the road. These are the best damn moments. A DM can’t plan for this, player’s can’t predict it. That’s the beauty of it. We aren’t playing a perfectly scripted story. The crazy and unknown are what makes this game great. Embrace the dice gods as they make or break your campaigns.

Easily my favorite part of this story is the fact that the DM tried to get out of the situation he put himself in. He rolled with the punches and let his player’s plans happen. That’s what it's all about, the improv the quick thinking and begrudgingly rewriting all of that planned campaign because of the spell Command.

Looking back at this story, what is the fine line between clever play and metagaming? Do you think this player did accidentally end up metagaming? I don’t personally think the OP did anything as such but do let us know what you think in the comments section below.

Improvisation is the soul of dungeons and dragons. My approach to DMing is creating a rough outline of plot devices that my players can run into that will propel the story forward. Of course most of the time they go in the complete opposite direction and I shift my plot devices that way or simply make things up. I think that if you’re playing DnD correctly you have to be cheating just a little.

These situations are what makes a DM think a lot. Should the DM have shielded the player by not following the rules for his own happiness? Or perhaps it was a lesson for other DMs to be more flexible?

It’s a really tough position to be in. Critical Role has introduced DND to a massive audience that has helped grow our awesome gaming community. But at the same time people tend to forget that DMs aren’t always as amazing as a professional voice actor, shocking I know. I would disagree with the original poster. I think it is a juicy ending. I would much rather prefer that problems were solved with a proper discussion and maturity. So this is the story of the character death of one of my favorite characters ever, this happened over 20 years ago and whenever that group of players get together we always fondly reminisce about it, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Incorporating past characters into the world is probably one of the best things that a DM can do. A tight-knit role-playing group faced turmoil when a newcomer's betrayal disrupted their campaign. The Game Master struggled to manage the fallout, ultimately witnessing the player's expulsion. This story underscores the value of trust and collaboration in creating memorable and enjoyable shared experiences in role-playing games.
This campaign has been going for 2 years. The Final Big Bad. The catastrophe of the realms. Doom of everything we know. Is now in front of us. The realm's very existence is on our shoulders. Stopping this Beyond Godlike Creature is our sworn Duty.
Roleplaying can be hard for some people first getting into DND. It took this bard two years to reveal her true colors and blow the minds of her friends and party members. A bard brings their table to tears and happiness and in the next story the DM brings his party to tears with guilt and sorrow…
This story proves that Tabletop in general can be for anyone and everyone regardless of age or experience. This is the most badass Grandma in TTRPG history.

Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with another story. I enjoy a classic fantasy romp through the familiar classic world of goblins, orcs, and fae that we all know and love. But homebrew insanity just hits a little bit different. This story is chaotic and crazy. But I need to know more about this homebrew world and the characters that are bumbling their way through it.
Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with two stories about DMs. Having players waltz through your encounters that you thought would be challenging can be a bit frustrating. Having encounters that are literally impossible to beat unless the DM allows the players to win is even more frustrating. Listen to how these two different DMs handle encounters and how their players react.

Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with another story. What are your most memorable big bad guys? A Lich? An elder dragon? The Tarrasque? Or a shop owner that serves customers exactly what they order and falls victim to the insanity of one player hell bent on revenge. This is the tale of that player and his ridiculous vendetta. Buckle up it's a spicy one! Tell us your revenge story after listening to this one:
Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with another story. People that go out of their way to build the most over powered characters aren’t really my cup of tea. Sure it can be fun in the right setting to see how crazy your character can get BUT more often than not it becomes toxic, like it does in this story. Tell us about your power gaming players after listening to this one:
Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with another story. Becoming so invested in a world a DM creates is a testament to a great DM. Becoming…obsessively invested in a world a DM creates is problematic. This player goes off the rails pretty quickly but there also may be another side to this story. Was the problem player pushed a bit too far and the DM and players may not be as innocent as they claim? Let us know what you think after listening to this story about love, rage, and a player losing their cool over an NPC.
Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with two stories about villains. Creating interesting villains can be challenging. Villains need a few things to make them good…well bad, a purpose or motivation for their villainy and a reason the players need to interact with said villain. Not every villain needs to be a world ending being from another realm. Sometimes it can be as simple as a rival potion vendor…Listen to these two stories that highlight true villainy and well executed big bads.
Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with another story. It really is a testament to a great DND campaign when your party manages to ascend to godhood. Most of my campaigns never even come close to that level but I love hearing about those amazing multi-year campaigns. Listen to this story and tell us about your incredible campaigns!
Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with two stories about good DMing and terrible DMing. Being the DM is a tough job, wrangling gross bards like our first DM can be really challenging, and then being an open-minded friendly DM is apparently too much to ask for our second DM. Which DM are you? Tell us after listening to these two stories.
Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with another story. What would DND be without an edgelord? Good DND. But, this story is obviously not going that direction. I will say that our love for the game wants us to share this wonderful hobby with everyone, but at the end of the day it really isn’t for everyone. And sometimes you have the misfortune of getting an entire group together that isn’t a good fit for the game. If you’re a DM and struggling with your group and you don’t know if it’s you or them, call in a friend like this DM did.
Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with another installment of the All Guardsmen Party. This story somehow gets crazier and better!
Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with another story. DND’s rules are a guideline. They are there to be tweaked and fixed for what works with your group. This DM has a pretty great homebrew rule that really anyone should be on board with...except for this player. Find out how a problem player can’t mesh with a group and all hell breaks loose.
Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with another story. Luck and DND go together like peanut butter and that cursed D20 that is locked away forever in dice prison. It knows what it did. Listen to this wonderful story of bad luck and a great party.
dScryb - Ready roleplayHi everyone. All Things DnD is back with another story. Sometimes DMs should just write a novel instead of trying to run a game for players. But this DM got what was coming to him from a most unexpected place. Listen to this glorious tale of edgelord vs edgelord with an amazing ending!
Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with two stories about DMing gone wrong. DND is a social game and some of us lack some very important social awareness. This first DM is a prime example of exactly that. And the second DM loves random charts just...a little too much. Alright, WAY too much. Listen to how these two DMs mess up in very different ways and tell us about the time your DM threw common sense out the window and ruined your game.
Hi everyone. All Things DnD is back with another story. This story was submitted by our fan, Laura S. We all have our own fun, silly, or ridiculous rituals when it comes to our dice. D20 not rolling over a 5? Dice jail. D20 keeps hitting 15+ over the course of a game? Boom, lucky dice. This D20 gets the special dice bag with my always reliable D10. We all know its random luck...but what if it wasn’t? Find out how this set of magic dice turned this group into bloodthirsty monsters!
I’m so excited to see what the DM is going to do next. With the slate more or less wiped clean and a fresh start of new characters who knows what is going to happen next. The endless possibilities is what I love about DND.
I’m just glad there was a happy ending here!
People need to respect each others boundaries..
Do you think the player was in the wrong here?
Make dungeons and dragons a comfortable fun environment. Don’t be creepy. Please.
It becomes readily apparent how quickly one person can ruin something for an entire group of people
These two different stories highlight what I would consider both ends of the player spectrum perfectly.
This DM may just be the next Agatha Christie. Or not.
Ever won a lottery but then end up poor again?
I almost feel a little bad for this DM
This is excellent, lol
What a horrible DM and an even worse brother.
Just when I thought no one can be edgier than an edgelord...
Losing a character you love can be so hard..
I mean, why even bother?
What was the point of even running the game?
This was poetree...

Is this the craziest DM is nuts story you've ever heard?
Sometimes your players do all the work creating the perfect villain for themselves.
Is it better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all? Or is it way worse if you know you loved someone but can’t remember anything about them at all.
Was the OP being overly critical or justified in why he wants to not become a player again?
Arrogance leads to destruction. When will people learn?
dScryb - Ready roleplayThis was an epic display of quick thinking and teamwork and I love it. If I were DMing I would have snuck a worg into that hedge maze to really make things intense
People can be terrible. But people can also be great. Always remember that.
Has your character ever went down a totally different path because of the group you were playing with?
Would you allow this at your table?
Have you ever played a “talker”?
A great backstory is the difference between an okay character and campaign and an amazing one.
If you ever experience anything like this please reach out and help them.
Why is it that barbarians, historically the characters with the lowest intelligence come up with some of the best plans? And then screw it all up.

Have you ever bonded with an NPC companion in any of your campaigns?
Women don’t be discouraged there are some good tables out there.
So have you ever bluffed a dragon?
Do you feel like the DM was justified in feeling the way he did about the kid?
Does Stabby retain the ability to talk to chickens? I think I may just borrow this idea for my next character.
Do you agree with Veetor? Was what he was doing justified? Was he actually doing good? Or do you agree with Ora?
If you were the DM would you have allowed it? How important is the “rule of cool” at your table.
I would think maybe 1d4 per tree. Max 1d6. I’ll give it to the player that it’s an awesome move and I wouldn’t have thought of it
This one is going to be a long and epic journey for you guys
dScryb - Ready roleplayI cannot stress how important session zero is for establishing what people can expect from the game and the people
As a DM would you have held your ground and kept the items the same or changed them?
What is D&D if not a living fairytale?
Female NPCs don’t only exist to be swooned, you know
So who else is putting an unicorn in their upcoming DnD campaign?
I’m not crying… okay, yes I am. What a fantastic story
It takes a big person to admit when they were wrong
Will YOUR story surpass Xaldin’s? I don’t know, that was a pretty incredible story.
Seriously, yikes. But I’m hooked. Thankfully, our faithful friend Xaldin will be returning very soon
Woo...got me some goosebumps. Our faithful friend Xaldin will be returning very soon
Amazing. That’s how you did. Who wants a demon to be their DM now? Me. That’s who.
dScryb - Ready roleplayI can’t help but feel sad for Hadar. Did he go crazy because of age? The horn in his head? Who do you think was whispering in the squire’s mind? Was it Nalahar?
Who needs a variety of classes when you can just beat everything to death?
To set the record straight, warforged are not sci-fi. Apparently this player was a little confused by that fact and lost his mind.
This was pretty brilliant for a tutorial campaign to ease new players into it. Will you try something like this
This is what happens when a group role plays so hard they break your game, in the best way possible.
Sounds like mission accomplished! Ever complete a quest in the worst way possible?
From a trainwreck to a pretty fantastic ending. That was pretty brilliant of the cleric and paladin. Even after all of the DM’s manipulation they prevailed
”that guy.” It’s even harder when that guy is your best friend and roommate.
After hearing this one you’re going to be saying, “I object!” Because this DM is one of the worst
Would you have killed her bear? And just to be clear we all love Critical Role and what they have done for the DND community
I think we all need a Daryl at our game table
This was brilliant! Instead of giving up the DM came up with a fantastic solution to help the players learn and improve the game.
When the villains become the heroes. Sad. It sounds like the “Heroes” really let this game get in their heads.
Never underestimate the power of a monk and his ability to brew the finest of booze
So. Who is right? Is the paladin a killer in shiny armor and no different than the assassin?
Ooooh chills! I love a false hydra story but this might be my favorite!
I couldn’t say it better myself. What an incredible story. Don’t let anyone tell you these shared experiences aren’t real and amazing, because they are.
A well crafted dungeon, a super creepy necromancer, and creative problem solving by the players.
Lizard Folk may be my favorite race in all of DND. Such a heartwarming tale! I believe in you Chuu
So many bad DMs, so little time! Hopefully we can all learn some valuable lessons from these stories and become better for it.
That was quick thinking at best!
Why is that when wishes come true, it’s always terrible?
When your own homebrew magical items backfire. Well played, this was honestly the best quick thinking I’ve heard in a long time.
Why is it that wishes always seem to backfire But at least there was a happy ending to this one!
I want an army of ducks. Especially if one of them has a New York accent! Tell us about some of your crazy home brew magical items!
Now I regret every archer I’ve ever played. But with my luck my DM would have us in dungeons every session and punish this kind of character.
What a wild ride. I still feel gross after hearing it but each table is different. I’m glad everyone was in on it.
Don’t steal people's ideas… especially if they are your own players. And don’t make encounters that are impossible. Come on!
My heart! Such a wonderful happy ending for the goblins.
Well, that was a wild ride. Can we give this man a hand? Have you ever played DND with your own “Wizard”? What was his name?
That was sad yet so so wholesome! I wouldn’t mind retiring like that, to be honest. Talk about retiring in one’s own terms!
Preach, brother! DND is about teamwork and good times. Don’t be like this DM.
Quick thinking and great execution from the party and the DM. It’s great moments like this that really bring a group together.
This was fun to read from start to end!
It’s like a red flag parade. A GM with secret house rules that he never explains. A little bit of player confusion. But lessons were learned and it's so important to really find the right people to play with. Or was the player actually the one who made too many mistakes to be redeemed?
Redemption for Dra’goul. Becoming aware of your own failings is one of the most difficult things to do.
A city of undead, a player set on revenge and a BBEG going down before the DM even finished their plot arc. Perfect.
It’s always a surprise when you give your group an item at random and it comes back and blows up in your face, or in a dragon’s face. A well executed plan and an awesome turn of events.
It is such a tragedy losing a real life friend and companion. Make sure to thank your DMs and don’t let your dreams be dreams. Zar Zar didn’t.
I applaud the DM for owning his mistake and rolling with it. Being able to improvise and change the narrative on the fly is a sign of a great DM.
What an incredible ride. A near TPK, an epic rescue, and a tragic ending. This is everything that DND should be!
These were pretty awesome and downright evil stories.
Alignments are not for everyone. But if you’re playing Lawful Good you have to at least try. Or be Chaotic Evil and murder away.
A great character background can make for incredible moments. That’s why I make backgrounds mandatory for all of my players.
Questions were answered but now I have more. Most importantly, what is up with the chicken?
Make sure you check out https://www.dirtcheapdungeons.com to get your own copy of Cursed Echoes and the incredible 3d printed dungeon kit that goes with it!
Playing an evil character is always a challenge, but it is clear this group and this player really went for it. Have you ever had a successful evil campaign?
Cringe comes in all shapes and sizes. It’s amazing she thought this was okay to do. Have you ever seen something this bizarre?
Hafer would make a great villain for those foolish enough to try to steal his arcane knowledge. Have you ever had a character ascend into something as epic as Hafer?
That feeling when you try to make things better only to light a mansion on fire and drive someone insane. Oof. Was the story too political for your taste?
Thank you for listening! This series will always remain close to my heart, forever.
This is part 2 of 3 of a published short story by our Writer and Editor which is available for free for a limited time. Please let us know what you think about the absolutely GRUESOME and gory details of the session! Was that too violent for your taste?
This is part 1 of 3 of this video, Death and a D20. Please let us know what you think of the favorite of the dice gods, Death. And also what about Andrew? Do you think he will survive in the end?
As a player I would struggle with other players being constantly at odds with the group. But if this is how they play and it works for them, that’s great.
I don’t care who you are, but dolls are creepy. And bringing it back to mess with the players is a stroke of genius!
And with that ominous warning Astoshan lay at rest… but for how long? The Gray Necromancer will rise again… someday.
An ever present villain watching over your games. That’s a pretty great idea and it would be interesting to see what other schemes he has in store for the players. Have you ever brought back a BBEG in an interesting way?
What an absolutely brilliant move! Have you ever turned the fight to your advantage thinking outside of the box like this?
That's the first step. Raise it as one of your own.
Would you have robbed the merchant of the eggs? The moral question of doing a bad thing for a good reason. I think it was justified.
What an incredible journey. It's hard watching your kids grow up. Even if they happen to be dragons. Such a heartwarming and amazing ending to a fantastic tale.
What a fantastic DM to take a player’s backstory and create such an epic story. Has your DM ever taken your character through a journey like this?
It had to happen, one way or another..
Chills! Revenge is close at hand!
And that is how, the Gray Necromancer Astoshan came to be..
Somebody needs to check that dicebot or for once the dice gods look down upon the player with something other than spite. Have you ever turned the game around with a clutch crit?
The moral of this story - be careful what you say when you monologue as the GM. Especially when you have a goblin necromancer around. They may just be famous last words.
Taking on a vampire single handedly! Pretty epic to say the least. Have you ever managed to kill a creature in spectacular fashion?
I’m not crying, you’re crying. It’s always something special when an NPC becomes more than an NPC. Have you ever had an NPC go beyond a background character in your game?
This is the definition of bringing a game to life! What a great way to really immerse your players in the game. Have you ever done something like this?
It’s amazing what players can accomplish when they actually work together. True Polymorph to Double Dragon! The DM never saw it coming. A lesson in teamwork for sure!
I am not sure I agree with limiting what classes people can play due to the DM’s world, but if the players are on board it could be interesting to see how it plays out.
Well, with the two problems out of the game, everything seemed to really come together. Don’t be that couple at the table -- no one likes it. At all. Have you ever had some game-poopers disrupting the session?
That turned out much better than I had expected it to! It’s pretty refreshing when everyone just talks about what is wrong and they fix it.
Entering the hivemind of mindflayers? Pure insanity! She is lucky she managed to escape with her sanity. But like she said, they did it!
Never disregard the power of nature! Such clever thinking in an awesome setting! Have you ever played a DND campaign in a cyberpunk setting?
Oof. So many red flags and terrible decisions were made by the DM. Have you ever been caught in a doom vortex? Was I perhaps a little too over the top with the stringent matter-of-facts, and an annoying player to deal with?
Pokemon and DnD? Sounds like an incredible setting to me! Would you have let your player capture the BBEG like that? Was this a great game or homebrew gone wrong?
That was a pretty epic one shot. And honestly 3 out of 5 players being great is not that bad for a pick-up game at a convention. Have ever had a memorable one shot with strangers?
A lifetime of suffering terrible DMPCs dominating a game. You dodged a bullet, and trust me when I say that there are MUCH better DMs out there. Don’t give up on the game yet!
What an incredible set up and execution of a false hydra! I get chills every time I think about it. The subtle hints and clues the DM left for his players were masterful! Did you figure it out before the reveal?
"If in doubt set it on fire." - This was quite a tale.
Have your players ever taken down an entire city’s crime syndicate in one brilliant move? Would you have done it differently?
All the FEELS! Would her original sacrifice have meant as much if they had managed to bring her back? Have you performed a heroic feat in your own game?
Complete and utter humiliation! That’s what happens when a group of newbies get big heads and don’t show respect. I guarantee the other players weren’t expecting that to happen! Have your games ever resulted in your party turning against one another? Or have you managed to out-smart your greedy party members that didn’t want to play nice?
A bittersweet ending for an epic character. Retiring a PC is always hard but the memories are priceless.
Wow. It sounded like a group of bullies wanting to ruin a game for someone else. There is roleplaying and being mean. At least now the player is in a better group and isn’t trying to get killed for no reason.
What a hilarious setting for DND. This should be done every year and I may just run this myself for Christmas!
Overpowered indeed. Good Heavens that my initial intention to kill Toothy off in a reckless encounter did not work.Aside from the OP giant frog, did you guys like the charisma lord Brynn? What about meager Marigold?
Roll for sexiness. Oh no… a crit fail. Just kidding, you’re beautiful! Please don’t go! Have you ever had a DM cater to a single player in your game?
Have you had similar experiences of almost falling victim to a well-laid trap and getting your behind saved by a heroic Barbarian?
Granny is hardcore! What an awesome character concept. Have you ever played a character that was this different from the norm?
Cowards! A party adventures together and dies together. Would you have turned and run or would you have made a final stand? And how miraculous was that fight?
What an incredible duo! Both incredibly formidable AND incredibly STUPID… Have you ever come up with a character concept like this before? Or something even more diabolical and humorous at the same time?
That was quick thinking casting the major image spell to not only get gold but to get out alive. Have you ever gotten out of a sticky situation with some quick thinking?
Were the player’s expectations too high for the DM or was the DM half-assing it? I’m sure for every great DM out there, there are 10 bad ones.
This was definitely an amazing story. As a Reddit user davecrazy pointed out, “I actually think the lesson here is ALWAYS give the players a written note,” no one would have expected them to make use of the written note like this.
So wholesome! It’s so cute seeing her imagination spin the story so vividly. Have you introduced DnD to a child or younger person?
Did Sam deserve to be kicked out? Do I hear a yes, or a hell yes? Regardless, his backstory does explain some things, if not justifying them.Have you ever had a player like Sam in your party? How did you and the group handle it?
I guess Warforged do have souls. What an incredible story with the possibility of creating a Sprocket Version 2 in the future. Have you ever had a character discover something profound about themselves?
I don’t know why people are like this. Insecurity? Bitterness? A false sense of what DND should be? At the end of the day, don’t be this person and don’t ruin the fun for others.
Yeehaw that was intense and fun at the same time! Have you ever played in a western setting? Or created a gang that went out in a blaze of glory?
Is the setting worth the pain and struggle? Maybe in the end the DM will improve and everyone will be happy. We’ll see!
Good thing the neckbeard did not bring his katana to the game. Otherwise, things could have gotten really ugly. Some advice for you all: take showers, use soap, and do not be that guy.
He should really start penning that novel now if he doesn’t want his players to have any kind of agency in his games. Have you ever been held prisoner by a tyrant DM?
Anger issues, entitlement and D&D never go well together. Be nice to your DMs and you might just stumble into that plate you want so badly. Have you ever had “That Guy” in your party?
Dungeons & Dragons at work? Not a bad idea, I guess.
The cruel twist of fate that is the dice! How have so many cool ideas have been undone with a natural one? Have your plans ever backfired spectacularly, and like this manner?
Sometimes people forget that DnD is a team game. Has something like this ever happened to your group? Lose a friend over an in game fight? How did you, or the group, handle it?
A DM can never plan for the crazy things players will do. What a fantastic example of a player thinking outside the box to ruin even the best of plans. Have you ever outmaneuvered your DM?
Are we the baddies.jpg? These players learned that actions have consequences. How would you have handled a group of players like this? Did the author perhaps go overboard, a tiny bit, at least?
This is the kind of game that I want to be a player in! What an incredible twist at the end! The wizard played the long game and came out on top. Have you ever played a game like this? Were you ever the secret BBEG plotting against other players?
Farmer Brown putting the smackdown on everyone! Have you ever had an NPC outperform your players? Please let us know about your epic NPC moments!
It is kinda hard not to play an OP cleric in Pathfinder, afterall.
Come on, don’t be that guy! Be honest with your DM and be honest with yourself. If you be cheatin’ you gon’ get eaten.
What an incredible twist, a DM deleting his own game to be usurped by a player! I guess next time you give a player a wish, have your lawyer look it over before granting it! Have you ever pulled a fast one on the DM?
Thirteen players and three DMs, amazing. Despite the challenges of that many players, the DMs managed to craft a game for new players and veterans alike. Have you ever played in a huge game like this?
What an incredible journey! These are the stories that make DnD such a wonderful experience. Friends. Magic. Love.
How would your players react if they were dying in a lucid nightmare? Have you almost killed your party or killed your party in an unconventional way? And WITHOUT THEM EVEN KNOWING WHY?!
Oh my God, this is what is called blurring the lines of morality. Was it the curse of lycanthropy that made the wizard go mad? Was it just the player that went over the line? Has anything like this happened to you?
Who would believe a demon in the first place? It seems like they should have trusted their gut and followed one of the core rules of DND. Never split the party.
My heart! Such a bittersweet death for this party! Do you have any fond memories of playing with a family member? Or how a character's death brought the group closer together?
A legend is born. What an inspiring character that really had a powerful impact on the players. Have you ever run into an NPC that became legendary?
Sometimes missing every single hit can be just as satisfying as landing them. D&D is a game of inside jokes and gags. Have you ever had something unfortunate like failing spectacularly turn into something great?
In this Dungeons & Dragons story, we'll discuss a player who got revenge on his jerk DM and his entire party, by doing the unthinkable.
This is a Dungeons & Dragons story of an ogre named Garg who is on a quest to understand what is good alongside Moonslicer. A beautiful story that is as wholesome as it gets.
