Bryan and Joe are back to discuss Volume 2 of Clive Barker's short story collection, Books of Blood.
This time we're a bit more conflicted about some of the dated elements, including the role of race in Hell's Event to the misogyny of Jacqueline Ess: Her Will and Testament to the sexual assault of The Skins of our Fathers.
Still, Barker's prose is great, from the body horror of Jacqueline Ess to the playfulness of Barker-fying Edgar Allan Poe in New Murders in the Rue Morgue.
Plus: which are our fave stories (we don't agree this time!)
