White Ladies in Crisis: S02E03 - Black Widow (1987)

November is Gena's pick so she, Jenn and Joe are travelling back to 1987 for the female cat-and-mouse thriller Black Widow starring Debra Winger and Theresa Russell.

The feminist AF film offers one hell of a meaty role for Russell, who completely steals the show. Up for discussion: the film's unconventional narrative structure, its lack of interest in male characters, showcasing the Hawaiian setting, comparisons to The Silence of the Lambs, and the film's tentative queerness.
