Special counsel Jack Smith and his investigators have a signaled a continued interest on a chaotic Oval Office after then-President Trump lost the 2020 election and his allies allegedly schemed about ways to keep him in power over objections to White House counsel. Sources tell CNN that investigators have asked several witnesses before the grand jury and during interviews about that meeting. Plus, the Secret Service’s investigation into the bag of cocaine found in the West Wing is expected to conclude early next week, regardless of whether a suspect is identified.
