In this episode, Dr Jessica Hochman discusses common childhood milestones with her children's pediatrician, Dr Carlos Lerner. The goal of the talk to to help parents recognize what milestone delays may be considered normal and what may benefit from further medical evaluation.  They cover motor skills---when should parents expect their children to master the skills such as sitting, crawling and walking?   They also talk about speech milestones--when should parents expect to hear babbling? Or expect to hear first words? They also discuss behaviors in children---what is "normal" and what might prompt parents to seek an evaluation?  What are signs of autism? And what about sensory integration disorder--is this a new diagnosis?  This is a great discussion for parents who have young children!
