The younger prince, driven out of the city, seeks guidance from the hermit, who has since passed away. The prince decides to follow the hermit's example and leads a life of asceticism. Meanwhile, the older prince becomes king and squanders the wealth, leading to the downfall of the kingdom.

Ultimately, Nagraj met his fate and perished under the unrelenting attacks of the ants.
