Our hosts return to the podcave to review the episode, BIRDS OF A FEATHER.
Alex and Will are surprised at how good this episode is and if it wasn't for the somewhat disappointing ending, it would be in their top tier episodes list.
Our hosts talk about Penguin's dating game, why calling someone a FATSO is a brutal insult, and how Batman doesn't know what sexting is.
Alex also learns how to say the word 'lair' properly and Will has lighting issues during the recording.

Our hosts finally return to the podcave after a break and sit down to rank the first half of Batman the Animated Series.
Alex and Will go through every episode that they've reviewed on the podcast so far and rank them based on their opinion.
Which episodes will sit above the rest and which will end up in the toilet? Some of the rankings will surprise you!
Our hosts also review Deadpool & Wolverine and read some messages from some listeners that were sent whilst they were on break.

Our hosts return to the podcave and sit down to watch and review the episode, TERROR IN THE SKY.
Alex and Will discuss the return of the (wo)Man-Bat and the Bride of Frankenstein meets French Connection vibe that this episode brings. Along with comparing it to the very first episode of BTAS and questioning if it's a good sequel or not?
Our hosts also talk about Alfred's love for Hawk Tuah memes, the Batwing's little claw hand, and how Batman left Francine and Kirk to freeze on top of the bridge.

Our hosts travel overseas to an ancient hidden podcave this week, and sit down to review, DAY OF THE SAMURAI.
Alex and Will are somewhat divided on their feelings for this episode. With a difference of opinion for the overall plot and animation quality, our two hosts are in opposite corners of this pod volcano.
Plus, they notice Alfred's many holiday outfits, what the secret death touch makes you do involuntarily, and the return of Kyodai the "cinjaphile", or Kyodai "the film guy".

Our hosts return to the podcave and sit down to watch, MOON OF THE WOLF.
Did our hosts LYCAN this episode? Or did it not scratch their itch?
Alex and Will talk about the werewolf's backstory and what they think of this classic Universal monster running around the streets of Gotham.
Plus, they discover that Alfred is very knowledgeable in the kink community, that the Gotham Zoo is still very unsafe, and what invisible knockout gas does to your libido.

Our hosts return to the podcave and sit down to watch The Island of Dr. Moreau -- I mean, Tyger Tyger.
Alex and Will give credit to the animation and character design, but that's about as far as their positive thoughts go for this episode. The Island of Dr. Moreau and Batman just don't mix and this weird mash-up is proof of that.
Our hosts discuss Dr. Dorian's weird obsession with cats and theorise on how that came to be. As well as Tygress' obsession with trying to get some pussycat, Gotham Zoo's poor security, and Batman's sudden love for poetry.

Alex and Will chat about all of the Joker dialogue that they quote on a weekly basis, along with how they both thought that Lock-Up was introduced in this episode, but it turned out to just be some guy.
Our hosts also talk about the patchy animation in this episode, what Bruce and Alfred had planned for a casino weekend, and what Batman's tear gas is really made up of.

They also discuss the voice actors performances, their favourite scenes, the final showdown between Batman and Joker, and how Batman vs The Mutant Leader was like watching a WWE Pay Per View.

Our hosts return to the podcave and conclude the story of HARDAC and His Amazing Friends, as they watch, HEART OF STEEL Part 2. But, before Alex and Will have a chance to review this episode, they are joined by returning guest, KEVIN ALTIERI! The Director of these episodes and many more. Kevin shares what kitchen appliance inspired the design of HARDAC and what movies influenced the look of these episodes. He also recalls the team's amusement in killing robots, the introduction of Barbara Gordon, and the final fight scene that was cut from this episode. Then Alex and Will share their thoughts on part 2 and what they thought of it. Highlighting a Transformers garbage can that lives at Cybertron, Barbara's flawless fingerprint technique, Robot Gordon becoming Bruce Wayne's pet dog, and Killer Croc's Killer Wings -- a new chain restaurant that's come to Gotham. If you haven't gathered by reading this description, this episode review was a weird one! Our hosts return to the podcave and sit down to review the episode THE CAPE AND COWL CONSPIRACY.
Alex and Will are somewhat divided on their opinions of this episode. One host enjoys it for the simple fact that Batman is trolling a villain the whole time and having fun, whilst the other host wishes it was just a Riddler episode.
Our hosts also theorise that Josiah Wormwood is the reason that Gotham seems to have so many closed theme park attractions, as well as wondering if Gordon creating the bat signal was just to get Batman out of his office?
Plus, our hosts cast Wormwood in their fancasted universe, as well as sing the recognisable theme music from SAW and accidentally advertise for Coca-Cola.

Kevin shares in detail how much he loved Ra's Al Ghul as a kid, and how his dream was to bring those Denny O'Neil/Neal Adams comic books to life on screen one day. Not only did he grant his own wish and became known as the "Ra's guy" around the studio, he also went and got Denny O'Neil to write the first two Ra's episodes!
He recalls working with Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, Alan Burnett, Shirley Walker, and all of the amazing voice cast, including some lovely memories of Kevin Conroy.
Kevin also discusses directing the Two-Face episodes, including how the famous animated rain was captured in Part 2. The day that Paul Dini brought the idea of Harley Quinn into his office and why it took him so long to direct a Harley episode. Alex and Will also point out that this episode could have easily been a single episode, instead of a two parter, and breaking it into two was unnecessary. They also talk about Bruce's poor dating techniques, the return of Sammie No Socks, giant flame walls, GI Bat-Joe, and lots more!
Our hosts also announce that the Caped Capers scenarios will now become a monthly thing, instead of being in every episode. It's time to review, I'VE GOT BATMAN IN MY BASEMENT. Is this the worst episode of Batman TAS? Did our hosts dislike it as much as they expected?
Alex and Will are surprised at how much fun this episode actually is! If you can enjoy it for what it is and don't take it too seriously, you'll have a good time. But, what do they know? They liked THE UNDERDWELLERS!
Our hosts discuss the fun introduction of the Penguin to this show, how Batman is doing his own "Weekend at Bernies" in Sherman's basement, and create a sequel to this episode that they already consider canon. Think Norman Bates meets Misery, but Sherman's obsession is keeping Batman in his basement forever!
Also included in this episode is our hosts live action fan cast for the Penguin, a discussion on shows like: Succession and Barry. Plus, another fun-filled Caped Capers skit. Enjoy!

Plus, Randy gives an amazing explanation on what Batman's greatest fear is, as well as explaining what the story was for the sequel to the Sub-Zero movie.
Then, Randy caps it all off by plugging the story behind his latest stage play, "Did You See What Walter Paisley Did Today?", and tour dates for the live Animaniacs in Concert!

Our hosts return for a SECOND time and sit down to review TWO-FACE Part TWO!
Alex and Will discuss how part one is the better of the two parts, but this one still is enjoyable and created a lot of Two-Face tropes that films like Batman Forever would rip off for their ending.
Our hosts also discuss how Two-Face's coin flip for decision making comes out of nowhere, why Alfred is a better detective than Batman, how Batman's greatest enemy is a janitor cart, and that Two-Face using a napkin to hide his ugly side is hilarious.
Also in this episode is our live action casting choice for Rupert Thorne and another hilarious caped capers that involves Superman and Bane!

Our TWO hosts are back and bring out their big, bad selves to review, TWO-FACE Part 1.
*This is the hardest Alex has ever laughed on a podcast and if there's any episode to listen to, it's THIS ONE!
Alex and Will instantly notice that this episode not only jumps in animation quality, but storytelling and character development. Giving our hosts the first true taste of the animated series that they remember.
They discuss how Batman is partially responsible for creating Two-Face, how Big Bad Harv is just a school yard bully, why Alfred always carries a shotgun, and how Grace and Bruce start an orgy at Wayne Manor.
Our hosts also talk about Clayface rumours for The Batman 2, cast Harvey Dent/Two-Face in their live action BTAS universe, and another hilarious Caped Capers scenario.

Our hosts return with a very special guest for this episode, the voice of POISON IVY herself, Diane Pershing.
Diane shares with Alex and Will how she got the role of Poison Ivy, where the voice came from, and what parts of the character are very much her. She also shares memories of being in the recording booth on episodes, such as: Almost Got 'Im, Harley & Ivy, and Trial.
Plus, Diane shares how effected she was by the passing of Kevin Conroy and what a true talent and delight he was to work with.
Our hosts also announce that Will's Kickstarter project, Outbreaks, has been fully funded and currently in the stretch goal phase of its campaign! Thank you to all that have pledged and help his creator owned book become a reality! The deadline is March 31st, 2023 if you still wish to pledge and support the book. See link below!

Our hosts are back with another exciting episode and welcome a very special guest to the show, Batman TAS writer Robert N Skir!
Alex sits down with Robert to discuss his work on Batman, which involves writing the episodes: His Silicon Soul, What is Reality?, and Lock-Up.
Robert shares the inspirations behind the Paul Dini created character of Lock-Up, including how Robert mirrored him off of a famous Martin Scorsese character. Robert also explains why the final scene of that episode takes place on a prison boat, how Lock-Up is the closest villain to being like Batman, and what he wanted to name the character originally.
Then Robert shares the greatest way you can defeat the Riddler and how it ended up in the final draft of What is Reality? Plus, sharing how His Silicon Soul became an episode and how Business Standards & Practices restrictive policies actually ended up giving him a better ending. You can hear that and so much more in this amazing behind the scenes interview, which is packed full of never before heard discussions!
In this episode, Alex and Will also share their thoughts on The Mandalorian, and The Last of Us, plus Will updates everyone on his current work with DC and Marvel, as well as his Kickstarter progress! Enjoy!

Our hosts return and attend a birthday party that starts out strong, but the third act of BE A CLOWN, really does kill the party vibe.
Alex and Will discuss how the idea of the Joker disguising himself as a clown and attending a birthday party with the intention of blowing it up, is a really strong idea, but once the party ends, so does the quality of the episode. Even with the odes to The Killing Joke and The Dark Knight Returns, this episode just doesn't light their candle.
Our hosts discuss ways to improve the story, such as how young Jordan should have wanted to become a clown instead of a magician, and rebel against his neglecting father. Or, even more sinister, become a sidekick to the Joker and a real threat to Batman, as he can’t punch a kid in the mouth for being a menace!
Alex and Will laugh at the fact that Batman knows when garbage collection day is for each district of Gotham, and also take joy in realising that this episode is the origin of the popular Batman thumbs up meme.
Also discussed in this episode is the recent announcement of Amazon purchasing the Bruce Timm lead animated series, The Caped Crusader. Plus, a live action casting choice for Mayor Hill and another hilarious Caped Capers scenario.
AND AS A BIG REVEAL, Will shares what title projects he’s currently working on for both MARVEL & DC! Along with updating us all on the progress of his creator owned Zombie anthology series, OUTBREAKS!

Our hosts return and sit down to review, THE FORGOTTEN, an episode that is near and dear to their hearts and a true guilty pleasure.
Both Alex and Will are surprised at how well this episode holds up and most importantly, how much fun it was to watch.
They take a deep dive, discussing how this episode is the equivalent of a story where a superhero loses their powers and learns what it takes to be a hero. Alex and Will also believe that Boss Biggis is a cannibal and eating his enslaved workforce, as well noticing how the bat-computer is a sassy B, and that Alfred saves the day.
Also discussed in this episode is the recent casting announcement for the new TMNT movie, plus a fan-cast choice for Boss Biggis in a Batman TAS live-action universe.

Our hosts return and sit down in a large, dark room and shine a spotlight on the episode, P.O.V.
Alex and Will discuss how this episode is a love letter to film noir and that it finally reveals the vibe of BTAS that has mostly been missing in the episodes that have come before it.
They also notice that the interrogation room is a big empty void, that Batman isn't afraid of a big burning roof falling on him, and how this episode becomes The Fast & The Forklift at one point.
Also discussed in this episode is how we are getting more Lord of the Rings movies whether we like it or not, a younger version of Hellboy (Hellboyboy) is coming to the big screen, the Batman 2 filming begins in November, and our hosts live action casting choices for Gordon, Bullock, and Montoya.

Our hosts return and plunge deep into their review of, THE UNDERDWELLERS.
Alex and Will are surprised at how much they actually liked this episode, expecting it to be one of the worst of the series from memory. But, upon a rewatch, they had lots to discuss, such as: Batman murdering an alligator, Alfred suspiciously seeming like he had one too many drinks from the Manor's wine cellar, the Sewer King's speech impediment, Batman's problematic hypnosis tool in the batmobile, and Will's new ending to this episode that would have brought it to new heights.
Our hosts also discuss Michael Keaton's return as Batman, JJ Abrams' cancelled projects at HBO Max, Lady Gaga going Joker Face, and Will's hilarious bathroom disaster that's shared in the post credits of this episode.
So, don't delay and hit play now! Don't forget to leave us a review, as we love to read them out on the podcast!

Our hosts return to review Pretty Poison, the premiere episode of Poison Ivy in this show.
Alex and Will notice how this episode is very film noir with a particular focus on Ivy being the femme fatale. They also discuss how this episode was nearly great, but the third act lets it down. Along with how Batman is happy to give plants a slow and painful death, and why Poison Ivy is more like a crazy cat lady than an actual threat.
Our hosts also cast a live action Poison Ivy in their fan-casted Batman TAS universe, Will reacts to James Gunn's DCU Phase 1 announcement, and a hilarious new Caped Capers skit is all included in this episode. So, don't delay and hit play!

Mat describes his surreal experience walking into the recording booth for the first time. Recalling what Mark Hamill first said to him, what it was like working with Kevin Conroy, Tara Strong, and Ron Perlman. Plus, how he got the role of Robin, what it was like being a 13 year old voice actor, and shares what his favourite episodes were to record.

Alex and Will are surprised at how much they enjoyed this episode and have a lot of nostalgia for it. The Joker plot is a classic comic book tale, Efrem Zimbalist Jr makes his debut as Alfred, Batman almost dies multiple times, and Will shares his fear of Captain Clown!
Our hosts also fan-cast a live action Batman the Animated Series universe, plus a hilarious new character is added to the mix in the Caped Capers skit.

Our hosts return all holly & jolly this festive season and sit down to review, CHRISTMAS WITH THE JOKER!
Alex and Will both notice how this episode has its moments of absolute quality and other moments where it falls flat.
Will talks about how this episode feels more like a kids cartoon than any of the rest, and Alex brings a stocking full of fun facts, such as the Director of this episode leaving halfway through production to go work for Universal! The nerve!
Our hosts also discuss how they grew up in a "naked family", what Batman project Will has just completed for DC Comics, plus loads more!
Happy Holidays everyone and see you next year!
