We have a short episode for you as we lead into the bloody battle of Antietam. First up, we have the battle of Charleston fought on September 13, 1862 in what is now West Virginia where the Confederates aim to take over the town. Next, we have the battle of Munfordville in Kentucky where the Confederates attempt to impair the Union supply line. Last, we have the battle of South Mountain and the lead in to the battle of Antietam as both armies try and control 3 mountain passes which the Union needs in order to pursue Lee's army.
