Bea the Book holds a bookmark so that the boy can find where he left off. His little sister picks Bea up and loses his place. What will they do now?
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 4:48
The Lost Bookmark Excerpt:
In a quiet house on Ahway Island, Bea the book sat on her little boy’s bookshelf. All day long, she had watched the sunlight stream through the window, stretching across the room. Now, at last, the warm glow finally passed over the little book’s blue cover. Bea sighed happily as she enjoyed the heat. Bea sighed happily. Being read was the best feeling of all, but basking in the sunshine was a close second.
Bea could tell by the length of the sunbeam that it was afternoon, which meant that her little boy would be home from school soon. Bea hoped he wouldn’t have much schoolwork to do, because that meant more time for reading!

Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 3:57
Beneficial Bugs Excerpt:
The three friends moved over to the grassy side of the park near the swing set. Brian expertly maneuvered Winfield through the grass, thankful for the off-road tires that let him explore places with uneven ground.
“Let’s look for bugs on this tree,” said Henry.
They looked up at a large tree that stood like a giant in the park. The green leaves were high up above them like a cozy green umbrella. The friends took turns examining the tree but they did not find any bugs.

After breakfast Allie looks around for something to do. She notices something icy on the family room window. She never noticed it before. What could it be? Where else will she find it?
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 8:20
Finding Frost Excerpt:
Allie helped her mom and dad clean up the kitchen, after enjoying the food they had made together. Now that breakfast was done, Allie wandered into the family room wondering what to do today. She walked over to her bookshelf. It held so many fantastic stories. Allie touched the books and smiled as she remembered some of her favorites. Maybe later, Allie thought. She liked to read her books after dinner. She loved listening to her mom and dad read to her as she snuggled under her comfy blanket. Yes, she would definitely ask her parents for a story, later. Allie stepped over to the window to look outside.

Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 3:42
Berry Brave Excerpt:
Every morning, Geoffrey would wake up and stretch his little neck toward the sky. He would open his beak wide, waiting for his mama to bring him breakfast. She always brought the best treats, and dropped them right into his mouth.
Today, Geoffrey stretched his wings and fluffed his feathers. He opened his mouth, ready for his mama to give him something delicious. But instead of dropping a treat in his mouth, Gerry perched on the side of the nest, smiling.

Dragon ponders what it would be like to be different things around Ahway Island.
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 3:33
Unique Dragon Excerpt:
Dragon sat quietly, and their mind began to wander. What would it be like to be something other than a dragon? Like a butterfly? Or a bee? It was an interesting thought. After all, being curious about others was one of Dragon’s favorite things.
Dragon looked around, eyes drifting across the path and landing on a large mailbox. Someone approached the mailbox, opened the top and slid a letter inside. Dragon wondered what it would be like to be a mailbox, receiving and storing important letters until the postal carrier could pick them up and bring them to the post office. It seemed like being a mailbox would be a lot of fun.

Hazel Airplane is nervous about her very first flight, but she has kind and supportive friends helping her!
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 8:21
Prepared for Takeoff! Excerpt:
Hazel Airplane gently opened her eyes. She had been awakened by the rising sun’s first rays falling across her eyes, the sunbeams peeking through one of the windows in the hangar. At first, Hazel just stayed quietly in place, listening to the birds singing outside in the early morning light. She felt peaceful.
But as Hazel slowly woke up, she started to remember what today was. Today was the day of her very first flight! Her stomach tightened a little and she swallowed, starting to feel anxious. Now she was wide awake. Yesterday the engineers had finished her construction, and today, she would fly high into the sky for the very first time. Hazel started to feel frightened. Her heartbeat increased.

A new sproutling thinks living in the library will be boring, but the wise fern demonstrates how to learn by observing.
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 3:59
Library Lessons Excerpt:
“So…what did you observe?” the fern asked.
The little sproutling thought for a moment. “Well…I saw that the first girl on the left side of the room believed she could do her assignment, and she’s doing great! But the second girl, on the right side of the room, thinks the assignment is too hard for her, and she got stuck.”
“You’re very observant,” the fern whispered back. “The thoughts we think are like the soil we’re planted in. When the soil is rich and strong, we grow tall and healthy. But if the soil is dry and weak, growing is much harder. It’s just the same with the way we speak to ourselves.”

Dragon wakes up to a snowy forest. Everything is so peaceful you can hear the icicles drip. Dragon decides to go for a walk to explore.
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 9:36
Snowy Memories Excerpt:
As the sun barely peeked over the horizon the sound of gentle snoring floated out of Dragon’s cave. Slowly, the lovely light flowed across the land. Shadows of the bare trees fell across the snowy forest floor. The floor of the cozy cave warmed as sunshine spilled into Dragon’s home and gradually rose up onto Dragon’s mossy bed. The gentle snoring of the little dragon stopped as the sunlight reached Dragon’s eyelids. Dragon blinked and squinted into the morning sun. With a smile, Dragon stretched and sat up. Dragon took a deep dragon breath, in and out, to get ready for a wonderful morning. As Dragon’s feet touched the warm floor, Dragon sighed happily, feeling grateful. The morning sun had already warmed the floor, even though it was a cool winter morning. Dragon stood up and walked back to the cool spring pool in the cave, wanting a refreshing drink of water. Sunshine sparkled on the rippling surface as Dragon scooped up a bit to drink.

Dharma Dragonfly wants to go to the pond. Bobbi Butterfly wants to go to the garden. Who will Letitia Ladybug go with?
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 3:32
The Perfect Place Excerpt:
The morning sun made the clouds above Ahway Island look pink and gold. Little dewdrops sparkled like diamonds on the grass, and the neighborhood birds had just begun their cheery songs.
Dharma Dragonfly stretched her delicate wings, admiring how well they shimmered in the golden sunlight. The warm breeze felt wonderful as she zipped through the air. Dharma soared past houses and gardens, occasionally doing little loop-de-loops just for fun.
As she flew over a quiet yard, Dharma spotted two of her friends. Bobbi Butterfly flitted gracefully from petal to petal in the small flower bed, while Letitia Ladybug lazed about on one of the flower’s broad, green leaves. Dharma flew over to them and hovered in the air.

When Sidney Snow Plow’s garage door gets stuck, he tries to have fun while waiting.
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 3:59
Patient Plow Excerpt:
Sidney the Snow Plow woke up to a loud clunking noise. He blinked sleepily and looked around his cozy garage. Light slipped through the cracks of the big garage door, but something was a bit different. The door wiggled a little, making a thunk, thunk sound, but it wasn’t rolling up like it usually did.
Sidney noticed the bottom of the door wasn’t letting any light through. He squinted at the little sliver of white he could see outside. “I wonder if I’ll be going out today,” he thought. Then, he heard Marta, his driver, just outside the door. She sounded a little frustrated. “It’s completely frozen!” Marta said with a sigh.

Ballet Bunny watches the snow fall from under her cozy pine tree. When a bunch of snow blocks her view of the forest, the little bunny has a creative solution.
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 9:05
Frosty Forest Excerpt:
All was quiet as the large fluffy flakes fell from the sky. Ballet bunny peeked out from under the wide pine tree branches to watch. She took a deep dragon breath, in and out, enjoying the beautiful sight. As she watched the snow fall, a big fluffy flake landed on her nose. Ballet held still as she admired the delicate design slowly melting away with the warmth of her breath. Before long, the snowflake became a puddle. At least, she had been able to see the artwork for a moment.

Wilbur Dog hears a mysterious noise outside and is determined to investigate!
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 3:54
Morning Mystery Excerpt:
It was a peaceful morning on Ahway Island. A cool breeze slipped around the drapes and into the bedroom. The wind flowed over the bed, filling the room with the scent of freshly-fallen leaves. On the bed, Wilbur, a big brown dog with floppy ears, stretched his legs and gave a long, contented sigh. He was happy. But suddenly, a sound interrupted the peace. Thunk!
Wilbur’s ears twitched. He opened one eye, then the other. What was that noise? The dog lifted his head and listened closely, but all was quiet once again. Nothing seemed to be amiss, so Wilbur lay his head back down on the bed again.

Dragon heads to the animal sanctuary to play with Hettie Hippo, and makes a new friend in Lashawn Lion.
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 3:41
Morning Mystery Excerpt:
The curious dragon peered out from their cozy cave, watching the sun paint the sky with orange and pink as it dipped toward the horizon. The wind rustled the leaves of the trees in the forest, and Dragon could hear the faint hum from the sparkling train fading into the distance. The sun would be settling down for the evening soon, and Dragon wanted to do some exploring before nighttime. So, Dragon stepped outside the cave, stretched their wings wide, then leapt into the air.
Dragon caught the wind and soared over the forest treetops. Below, the train tracks gleamed in the fading light, winding through the forest and out toward all the areas of Ahway Island. Dragon considered where they should go for this evening’s trip, remembering the beach, and the arctic area, and the mountaintop. A smile spread across Dragon’s face as they decided to make a visit to the animal sanctuary.

Dragon enjoyed the popcorn Trenton the Tractor shared, and returns to the farm for some more.
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 8:54
A Tasty Treat Excerpt:
A cool breeze danced around the colorful trees, swirling red, orange, and yellow leaves off their branches. They drifted along, spinning in circles, this way and that, before they finally reached the ground. The breeze continued on, through the enchanted forest, and into Dragon’s cozy cave.
Dragon rested, nose out from under the colorful quilt. The cool breeze wafted over and tickled it. Dragon felt the cool air and shook the blanket right off. Awake now, Dragon hopped out of bed. There was so much fun to be had, and it was past time to get started.

Dragon visits Trenton Tractor, who is collecting ears of popcorn. Since there is extra corn, the tractor shares an ear with Dragon.
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 8:47
Popcorn Surprise Excerpt:
Dragon smiled as the familiar warmth of the morning sun filled the cozy cave. It was time to get up, and the little Dragon felt excited, ready to see what today would bring. With a big stretch Dragon hopped out of bed and folded the colorful blanket up neatly on the mossy rock, so it would be ready for a nice nap later. Then, Dragon walked to the mouth of the cave. An amazing view greeted Dragon. The sky looked painted. Pink, purple, and red reflected off the fluffy clouds as the blue sky brightened with the morning light. Dragon took a deep dragon breath, in and out, enjoying the crisp morning air. Gazing at the sky, Dragon decided to go visit Trenton the Tractor and thank him for his help with the garden.

Two markers learn how their differences make them a great team when they help their child draw a beautiful picture.
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 3:35
Marker Masterpiece Excerpt:
In a quiet room on Ahway Island, a small desk sat by the window. On the desk was a zippered pouch filled with colorful markers. All the markers listened closely to hear if anyone was coming to the desk, but right now, the room was quiet. The only sound they could hear was the soft chirping of birds outside the window.
Two markers sat side by side in the pouch. One was a thin, fine-line marker, slim and shiny with a black cap. The other was a thick-line marker, short and sturdy with a big purple body and cap. They were waiting for their child to use them again.

It’s winter and Chelsea Chipmunk can’t find her stash of nuts. But Abby Chipmunk has a solution.
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 4:11
Chilly Chipmunks Excerpt:
Abby Chipmunk woke up from a sound sleep, curled up snugly in her cozy burrow. Even from inside the hole, she could feel the cold air seeping in from outside. Ahway Island was well into winter by now, and Abby was grateful that she had her burrow to keep her warm through the chilly nights. A big yawn escaped Abby’s tiny mouth, and she stretched all four of her paws.
Suddenly, there was a deep rumbling sound. Abby blinked in surprise and then giggled as she realized her own stomach had made the noise. It was time for breakfast!

Gavin Goldfish wants to communicate with his family so he tries blowing bubbles at them!
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 9:41
Bubbles in the Bowl Excerpt:
A warm light settled on the little sandcastle as Gavin the Goldfish swam around his tank. Noticing the flickering light, the little goldfish stopped to look towards the fireplace. Sure enough, there was a cozy fire going. It must have just been lit. The flames leaped up around the carefully stacked logs. Gavin swayed his long flowing tail from side to side to keep him glued to that spot. The little goldfish loved to watch the flames dance. They were so graceful and fluid, much like the seaweed in his tank. But the seaweed didn’t glow or pop. Gavin loved to hear the crackle of sparks as they flew up into the air, like glittery popcorn.

Kareena spends a day interviewing people on Ahway Island to learn about their unique jobs.
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 3:38
What Do You Do? Excerpt:
The morning sun peeked through the small attic window of the Chand house, tickling Kareena awake. She sat up and stretched her arms, which made the bunkbed creak. Kareena could hear her twin sister, Kamala, stirring in the bed above her. Then suddenly, Kamala’s face poked over the side of the bed, peering down at Kareena, her long, dark hair dangling like a curtain.
“Morning!” said Kamala.
“Morning!” said Kareena.
Kamala hoisted herself over the edge of her bed and started climbing down the ladder. “Today’s the day you’re working on your big project, isn’t it?” she asked as she reached the floor.

Dragon makes an on onstage debut by helping Helen, Brianna, and Rogelio with their play!
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 3:15
Dragon’s Debut Excerpt:
Dragon moseyed out of the vibrant garden, enjoying the feeling of spongy moss beneath their feet. Dragon had only walked a few minutes, when suddenly, the sound of laughter caught Dragon’s attention. It sounded like there were children nearby! Dragon wondered if those voices belonged to any of their friends. So, Dragon changed course and headed in the direction of the laughter.
The cheerful sounds led Dragon to a clearing next to the park that was surrounded by tall trees. Dragon peeked out from behind a thick trunk and saw Rogelio, Brianna, and Helen in the middle of the clearing. Helen’s mother was not too far off, sitting on a picnic blanket.
The three friends were talking and laughing and then, someone started…singing? Brianna wore a shiny silver cape tied neatly around her shoulders. In one hand, she held a long stick, gesturing with it grandly as she sang a song about adventure.

Dragon goes for an early evening walk through the enchanted forest and finds a new little trail. The trail takes Dragon into a magical grove of ancient trees.
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 11:07
Magical Music Excerpt:
Sunlight spilled through the thick leaves of the trees in the enchanted forest, creating a colorful lacy pattern on the ground. Dragon gazed up at the sky to see it changing from a bright blue to filling with red, orange, pink, and purple. Dragon did like a sunset walk. Everything seemed a little more magical in the woods. Dragon smiled, enjoying both the warmth of the sun and the cool shade of the trees. As Dragon continued down the path, the gentle melody of a bird’s song circled Dragon. Dragon looked up to see Gerry bird, a friendly robin resting on a tree branch above. Gerry fluffed up her feathers and coasted down to see Dragon.
“Isn’t it a beautiful evening!” she sang.

Kiwoo Lizard starts to get overheated until his friend Gus Goldfinch helps him feel better.
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 4:07
Keeping Cool Excerpt:
It was a warm and sunny afternoon on Ahway Island. The clouds that had covered the sky for days were finally gone, and the bright blue sky stretched endlessly overhead. The rain had left patches of mud and puddles all around. Although the morning had started cool and refreshing, the weather had grown hotter and hotter as the hours went by, and the puddles were slowly shrinking as they evaporated away. The day was beautiful, but it was hot!
Kiwoo Lizard had spent his morning around the pond, one of his favorite places in the Ahway Island Forest. The earth around the pond was still cool from the rain, and it felt nice under his feet. He was enjoying how the sun reflected on the pond’s surface, even if he didn’t much like how hot it was becoming.

James feels a little scared of the shadows on his ceiling, but Julia helps him to feel brave.
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 3:41
Moonlight Magic Excerpt:
It was bedtime on Ahway Island, and James was tucked snugly under his yellow blanket. Despite the night light on the wall, moonlight poured in through the window, casting long shadows on the ceiling. James stared up at them with wide eyes. They were moving back and forth, and that made James feel a bit nervous. They looked like wings flapping.
The shadows reminded James of the time he and his sister Julia had gone camping in their backyard. That night, a big tree had cast a long shadow over their tent. James had been scared until Julia made her own shadow even bigger – so big it had covered up the scary one. That had made him laugh, and after that, the shadows didn’t seem so bad.

Dragon sees children making a snowman and has an idea for a magical creation.
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 7:57
Magical Snow Excerpt:
Dragon yawned and stretched. Dragon’s bed was warm and comfy, but the sliver of morning light that streamed into the cave beckoned Dragon outside. Stretching one more time, Dragon hopped out of bed. Dragon loved crisp winter mornings. It had snowed heavily overnight, and though it was cold outside, Dragon felt eager for a morning walk. It was always so interesting to see how animals and people acted when there was snow on the ground, and today there would be quite a lot of it.
The curious dragon stepped out of the cave and into a magical world of new-fallen snow. The ground was covered in a blanket of sparkling white. The branches of the pine trees were laden with heaps of snow. Ice crystals, catching the morning sunlight, twinkled and glittered with the smallest movement of the branches in the wind. Icicles hung from the edge of the Dragon’s cave. It was an enchanting sight.

Felicity the farm truck brings fresh food to the people in town and admires the fancy cars she passes.
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 3:57
Market Day Excerpt:
The sun rose gently in the sky, bringing dawn to the rolling fields of the farm. A distant cock-a-doodle-doo woke Flick Farm Truck from her slumber. She smiled to herself as she remembered what day it was, feeling excited – today was market day!
The farmer was already getting everything prepared. He hummed a happy tune as he carefully placed crates and baskets of fresh fruits and vegetables into Flick’s truck bed. Flick watched with delight as the back of her truck filled with colorful produce. There were bright red beets, vibrant orange carrots, sunny yellow squash, deep green zucchini, and rich purple eggplants. Flick’s bed was a rainbow of color!

Bianca Polar Bear and Beau Beluga try to catch snowflakes and notice that each one is different!
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 3:18
Sparkling Snowflakes Excerpt:
It was a quiet winter afternoon in the northern Arctic of Ahway Island. Snow drifted gently from the sky, swirling in delicate patterns as the crisp wind carried it across the icy tundra. Bianca Polar Bear padded softly along the snowy ridge near the water’s edge. Her thick white fur kept her warm as she walked.
Occasionally, Bianca paused to look out over the landscape and sniff the frosty air. As the polar bear gazed across the snow, she felt grateful for the day’s peace and beauty. It was a lovely, wintry day. Still, Bianca felt herself longing for some company. That was why she had come to the water’s edge this afternoon.

Hazel Airplane is nervous about her very first flight, but her friends are there to support her.
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 8:51
First Flight Excerpt:
Hazel Airplane sat quietly in the hangar as the engineer tightened the last bolt inside her engine. The little blue airplane felt grateful for the time and care the engineering team had spent constructing her. The engineers had needed a lot of time to finish building all of Hazel, but now, finally, everything was ready to go!
Over the past months while she was being built, Hazel had felt a lot of different feelings about her first flight. She always felt curious, wondering what it would feel like to be so high off the ground. What would it be like to see the hangar, the fields, the trees, and the houses as tiny dots far below? Sometimes she felt excited. At night she would often dream about flying with the other planes through a bright and beautiful blue sky dotted with clouds. And sometimes, she felt scared. What if something bad happened? What if a storm came along? Would she be able to land safely?

Dragon learns to reflect on favorite memories and welcomes in a new year!
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 3:49
Dragon’s New Year Excerpt:
On this day, at this moment, Dragon was doing something they did often: going for a walk through the forest. While Dragon could fly, and did fly many places, Dragon particularly loved the relaxed pace of walking. Walking made it easy to stop and observe a colony of ants working together on their ant hill, or pause by a patch of wildflowers and inhale their sweet perfume. Walking also increased the likelihood of running into forest friends, and meeting new ones, too.
On this walk in particular, though, everyone seemed busy. Peanut squirrel darted by, pausing briefly to say, “Hi Dragon! I can’t talk right now, the end of the year is coming and I must get ready!” With that, Peanut scurried off, disappearing into a leafy bush.

Anora helps Mike and Ian come up with a sprinkler game that will be fun for both of them!
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 4:14
Summer Sprinkler Excerpt:
The sunlight shimmered on the little pool in Ian’s backyard. It was a hot summer day, and Ian’s parents had invited Mike’s family over. Mike’s sister Rachael was busy at the library, but Mike and Mr. Stein would be here soon. Ian had helped his mom set up the pool and sprinkler, and he could hardly wait to play in the water with his friend.
Ian stood next to the house, grinning as he waited for his mom’s signal. When she gave him a thumbs-up, Ian turned the spigot with both hands. Water rushed through the hose and sprayed out of the sprinkler in a sparkling arc. Mike arrived with his dad just as it whirred into motion. Mr. Stein quickly dodged the water to keep his clothes dry, but Mike had his green swim trunks on and laughed as the water splashed him.

Billy is back to help out at the library. This time he’s excited. Will he see Brent again?
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 8:35
Learning at the Library Excerpt:
A gentle breeze ruffled Billy’s hair as he walked with his dad. Billy felt excited to be volunteering at the library again. The last time he had felt nervous. He hadn’t known what to expect. This time Billy was just excited. He smiled as he remembered reading to the group of kids on their colorful carpet squares.
Billy’s dad noticed his smile and asked, “Well, how do you feel about helping out at the library today? I know you felt a little nervous last time.”
Billy looked up and said proudly, “I feel excited. I like reading to other kids. They seemed to enjoy it too.”

Marta brings some an interesting plant, but she puts it just out of Kit Cat’s reach!
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 3:35
Kitty Caper Excerpt:
It was a cold, wintry morning on Ahway Island. Kit Cat was curled up on her favorite spot on the windowsill. Outside, snow sparkled on the rooftops and tree branches. Kit watched her breath fog up the window glass, feeling grateful to be warm and toasty in her cozy apartment. Kit’s human, Marta, had gotten up very early to plow the snow from the streets, and the little black kitty was waiting patiently for Marta to return.
It wasn’t too long before Kit heard the sound of keys jangling and the apartment door opening. Marta was back! Kit’s ears perked up, she immediately hopped off the windowsill to greet her friend.

On a snowy day in the Ahway Island Flower Shop, a poinsettia watches people help each other.
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 3:38
Pretty Poinsettia Excerpt:
The snow fell softly over Ahway Island, blanketing the town in a quiet layer of white. Inside the flower shop, a poinsettia plant looked out the front window. Its vibrant red leaves made a splash of color against the wintry scene outside.
The poinsettia had never seen winter before. It had traveled to Ahway Island on a boat from a warm, sunny place far away. This new place, Ahway Island, felt special. There were so many wonderful things to see.

Dylan the duck wants a place to swim. His friend Zara is eager to help him. What will she do?
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 8:50
Big Pond Excerpt:
Zara the kitten napped in the sunlight with her friend Dylan the duck. The cozy warmth of her sunny spot caused the little kitten to purr. As she relaxed a cloud drifted across the sky, covering the sun for just a moment. With that interruption, Zara sat up and Dylan quacked. It was a good time to get up. The little kitten hopped off the couch and waited while Dylan waddled his way down to the floor. Zara felt thirsty so she hurried to her water fountain for a drink. As she did, Dylan waddled over and started to step into Zara’s water.
Zara meowed and moved quickly, so that her friend would not be able to wade in her dish. Dylan quacked at her. He needed to swim. The little kitten understood her friend needed water, but she did not want stinky feet in her drink. She thought a minute about how to help her friend. Then she smiled as an idea filled her head.

Rogelio, Helen and Brianna are excited to share their own ideas. It can be difficult to wait and listen. What will they do?
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 3:31
Sharing Ideas Excerpt:
Under the wide, spreading branches of a great oak tree in the park, Helen waited for her friends to arrive. She, Brianna, and Rogelio had been working on making a play to put on for their families and friends. They’d already decided on the story and found the perfect place to perform, and they’d been practicing a lot! Now, the three friends needed to decide on costumes, props, and scenery. Helen could hardly wait to share her ideas.
As Helen watched a few leaves drift down from the tree’s branches, she heard voices approaching.
“Hi, Helen!” called Rogelio. He waved as he and Brianna walked up to meet Helen. Both friends looked full of excitement.

Izzie Sea Otter meets some kind humans who help her feel strong and healthy again.
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 3:47
Otter Odyssey Excerpt:
The morning sun rose over the Ahway Island cove, making a ribbon of light that reflected from the horizon to the shore. Brilliant orange stretched across the sky, mixing with the blue of the waves, while wispy clouds above turned pink in the early light. On any other morning, Izzie sea otter would have paused to admire the beautiful colors before diving into the sea to search for breakfast. Today, however, the little otter felt too sick to appreciate the sunrise.
Izzie’s mouth had been hurting for the past few days, which made it hard to eat. She felt tired, hot, and hungry, but she didn’t have the energy to dive for food. So, Izzie had found a nice place to curl up on the beach, hoping a bit of rest might help her feel better. Every now and then, gentle waves splashed against the shore, cooling her warm body. Izzie closed her eyes, tucked her nose into her fur, and tried to relax.

The world is covered in a beautiful a sea of snow. Shannon the Shovel and Stanley Snow Blower need to help clear the snow so that it’s safe for people to walk!
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 11:04
A Sea of Snow Excerpt:
It was a crisp and cold winter morning. It had snowed heavily the night before, but the morning breeze allowed the sun to peak through the
clouds. A heavy, thick blanket of fresh snow draped across the yards, driveways, and sidewalks of the neighborhood, hugging each and every house. The morning sun, streaming through gaps in the clouds, cast beams of light onto the snow below, making it sparkle like a magical sea. The sea of snow was a beautiful site, with frozen swells over bushes, chairs and any other small items that had been left outside. It really seemed a shame to disturb the snow sea. But the snow was deep and difficult to move through, and there were people and animals who had places to go! The snow needed to be cleared.

Dragon helps Chelsea Chipmunk prepare for a big change in her life.
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 3:38
Helpful Dragon Excerpt:
It was morning on Ahway Island. Brilliant sparkles of sunlight erupted through the tree branches. Overhead, a cacophony of birds called to one another in a variety of tweets and chirps. A few days ago, thunderstorms had exploded overhead and drenched the land, but today everything was calm and peaceful.
Dragon lumbered down the path in the Ahway Island Forest, enjoying a lovely walk. Dragon especially enjoyed observing the world during forest walks. The azure-blue sky peeked through the tree canopy. A fresh breeze created a swishing sound as it rustled through the bushes and trees. Dragon paused in a pool of sunlight beaming through a bigger opening in the canopy. Turning head up and closing eyes, Dragon relaxed at the comforting feeling of sunlight on their face. They took a deep Dragon Breath, in and out. The air smelled fresh and clean as a crisp piney scent permeated with hints of wildflowers.

The construction vehicles have to repair the tunnel under the forest, which means they need to be extra careful!
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 3:45
Forest Fix Excerpt:
Ellie the excavator slowly awoke as the sun peeked through the bottom of the garage door. She smiled, already feeling excited for the day’s work. She had a feeling that today’s project would be an important one.
The garage door rolled up and away, and Ellie eased on out, guided by her driver. Ellie’s friends were already gathered outside the garage. Drevan the dump truck and Constance the concrete mixer waited nearby, both looking eager to get started. Ellie smiled at the sight of her friends. It was always nice to work with them.

Wanda the Wheelbarrow wonders what will happen today. As she waits, the door to the shed opens. Max and Mia want to do some gardening and they need her help!
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 11:04
Wobbly Wheelbarrow Excerpt:
A flicker of light rolled through the opening below the red shed doors. The little wheelbarrow smiled as light traveled up, up, up, between the doors, finally spilling through the window. It was morning! Wanda the wheelbarrow loved watching the sunrise. She wondered what she might do today. Would she help a new tree find a home? Would she help make a new bed for some colorful flowers? Maybe she would help make a garden. Her mind raced with the possibilities. She needed to calm herself, so Wanda took a deep dragon breath, in and out. That felt better. The little wheelbarrow felt a bit calmer. Then she heard the doors squeak. Someone was coming! The little orange wheelbarrow could hardly wait for the door to open. Sunshine flooded into the shed. As Wanda grew accustomed to the light, she noticed a little boy and girl standing there.

Joe helps cheer up his sister Theresa on a cloudy day.
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 3:31
Cloudy Days Excerpt:
It was a cool autumn afternoon on Ahway Island. A soft blanket of gray clouds drifted across the sky. Gentle sunbeams peeked through from time to time. The air had been growing crisper each day, and in the early morning, the chill would turn the dew into a delicate frost that sparkled on the bushes and grass. Most of the trees had already let go of their colorful leaves, leaving the branches bare and the ground covered in a cozy carpet of red, yellow, and brown.
Joe and Theresa had just finished helping their parents with the yard work. They had raked and blown all the remaining leaves into a big pile in front of the curb. Now, the family’s chores were done, and the lawn looked neat and tidy. After all the raking, the cool autumn breeze felt wonderful on Joe’s face.

Tyra the tent helps some students calm down so they are ready for the day.
Narrator: Male
Story Begins: 3:55
Tranquil Tent Excerpt:
Rain drummed on the roof of the school as the all the little kids shuffled into their classroom. The room was full of vibrant colors. There were bright posters on the walls showing letters, numbers, and words like “You Can Do It!” and “Be Kind to Others.” The reading corner had big windows, and soft blue and green bean bags sat of the floor, ready for kids to snuggle up with a cozy book.
By the reading corner, next to the big shelves of books, stood a multicolored tent named Tyra. The little tent looked out at the classroom with a proud smile. Tyra was there to help if the kids needed a quiet place to calm down and regulate their feelings, so they could get ready to have fun and learn with all the activities of the day. As the children came into the classroom, Tyra watched them with excitement, wondering who might need her help today.
