Today’s ‘90s Beauty Moment is all about Brooklyn-born Foxy Brown, AKA Inga Marchand, one of the first ladies of hip-hop. She was first seen on our screens in a video for LL Cool J’s I Shot Ya remix video in 1995 and from then on her style and lyricism evolved.
In this episode I break down why Foxy was and is so important to not just hip hop, but also to dark-skinned women and girls around the world – I feel she helped them feel seen, appreciated and confident.
