On this first episode of "The Anchor Podcast," Amir Tsarfati sits down with Pastor Steve Berger and his wife, Sarah, amid the turmoil of war in Israel. The longtime friends discuss their ongoing support for the Jewish state, even visiting grieving families who have lost loved ones in battle. They also open up about their behind-the-scenes ministry, encouraging political leaders in Washington, D.C., through Bible study. Most importantly, they debate the importance of standing with Israel for both Jews and non-Jews alike, offering a message of hope when propaganda and deception seem rampant.

Israel is engaged in a military operation in Gaza to defeat Hamas terrorists while minimizing harm to civilians. Hamas is holding hostages and using them as human shields and has rejected Israel's offer to disarm. Israeli police special units rescued hostages from a densely populated area with armed militants, highlighting their bravery. Hamas plans to repeat a massacre and supports the release of its members in exchange for Israeli hostages.

Amir, reporting from Israel, shares breaking news about an explosion that occurred Monday morning at 6 AM at Megiddo Junction in northern Israel. The gag order that was in place has been lifted, allowing Amir to share the details. 

A Lebanese terrorist, believed to be trained by Hezbollah, crossed the border into Israel and went to Megiddo Junction, a busy central junction on Route 65. He carried an explosive device that could have killed hundreds of people. However, the explosive detonated when the junction was empty, causing damage to a car on the other side of the road and injuring an Israeli Arab who was driving three lanes away. 

The terrorist later escaped, wearing an explosive belt, and traveled back toward the Lebanese border. Israeli Special Forces waited for him, and when they saw that he was wearing an explosive belt, they shot and killed him on the spot. Hezbollah's involvement is suspected, but no one is daring to say it aloud. 

Amir questions how the terrorist crossed the border and whether he had help from Israeli Arabs. The Israeli Secret Service is investigating.

When Paul wrote his epistle to the church in Rome, he spent much of it talking about the Jews. Why? Because understanding God’s dealings with Israel is essential to understanding God Himself. In his new teaching, The Mystery of the Blindness, Amir Tsarfati talks about the blindness that is currently keeping Israel from understanding their need for the Messiah. But Israel’s unfaithfulness does not change God’s faithfulness. Amir reminds the viewer that the blindness is for a reason and only for a season, and one day when the fullness of the Gentiles has come in, the blindness will come to an end, and then all Israel will be saved.

As we look at this world, it seems that much of it is falling apart. However, sometimes the bad times are not as bad as we think they are. We simply need a biblical perspective. “When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream.” (Psalm 126:1) God uses dreams, sometimes to speak, to warn, or even to encourage. But there are also times when being like someone who dreams means you simply can’t believe the incredible events that you are witnessing. There are many promises that Jesus has made to His followers. He will give them life, acceptance, reward, revelation, friendship with God, and joy. Furthermore, He also promised that they would experience trials. All these the church readily accepts and rejoices in. But there is one promise that is often ignored, ridiculed, and even mocked, and that is when Jesus says to His church, “I will come and receive you into Myself, so where I am you will be also.” It’s been 2000 years since Jesus uttered those words. Can we still really trust that promise? In his new teaching, “The Promise”, Amir Tsarfati reminds us that “He who promised is faithful.” Jesus will undoubtedly come to rapture His church to be with Him always.
