After receiving the mysterious warning, the Investigators are led on a chase through NYC, an alcohol-filled bar visit, the introduction of their Captain, and some key research at the New York Public Library. This episode had to be done differently as technical difficulties caused the loss of all the Keeper's audio, so portions were cut out and re-narrated to create a full picture of what happened in Episode 3.

In our first Session of Beyond the Mountains of Madness, our Investigators arrive at their temporary home in NYC, The Amherst Hotel. From here, introductions are made with the rest of the expeditionary force, Professor William Moore reads an impassioned speech, and the public hears a showing of the ill-fated 1930 Miskatonic University radio broadcast.
