Swami Sarvapriyananda teaches Verses 70-72 from the second chapter of the Bhagavad Gita. This series of talks unfolds the highest truths of Vedanta through the study of "The song of God". 🔆Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 2, Verse 70: आपूर्यमाणमचलप्रतिष्ठं समुद्रमाप: प्रविशन्ति यद्वत् | तद्वत्कामा यं प्रविशन्ति सर्वे स शान्तिमाप्नोति न कामकामी || 70|| āpūryamāṇam achala-pratiṣhṭhaṁ samudram āpaḥ praviśhanti yadvat tadvat kāmā yaṁ praviśhanti sarve sa śhāntim āpnoti na kāma-kāmī 🔴 He wins peace into whose mind objects of desiresenter as waters flow into a full and stable sea that is being filled; and not he who yearns after objects of desire. 🔆Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 2, Verse 71: विहाय कामान्य: सर्वान्पुमांश्चरति नि:स्पृह: | निर्ममो निरहङ्कार: स शान्तिमधिगच्छति || 71|| vihāya kāmān yaḥ sarvān pumānśh charati niḥspṛihaḥ nirmamo nirahankāraḥ sa śhāntim adhigachchhati 🔴 The man who, giving up all objects of desires, moves about seeking nothing, and rid of all sense of 'mine' and 'I', wins peace. 🔆Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 2, Verse 72: एषा ब्राह्मी स्थिति: पार्थ नैनां प्राप्य विमुह्यति | स्थित्वास्यामन्तकालेऽपि ब्रह्मनिर्वाणमृच्छति || 72|| eṣhā brāhmī sthitiḥ pārtha naināṁ prāpya vimuhyati sthitvāsyām anta-kāle ’pi brahma-nirvāṇam ṛichchhati 🔴 This is the status of Brahman, Arjuna!; attaining it, none gets deluded (any more). Abiding in it, at least at the hour of death, one gains super-consciousness in Brahman. ► To support the Vedanta Society of New York: http://bit.ly/SupportVedantaNY Vedanta NY Media details: Primary Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/vedantany Web: http://vedantany.org Soundcloud: http://Soundcloud.com/VedantaNY iTunes Podcast: http://bit.ly/vedanta-talks-itunes Google Play: http://bit.ly/vedanta-talks-google-play Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/VedantaNY Instagram: @Vedanta_NY, https://www.instagram.com/vedanta_ny/ ABOUT VEDANTA Vedanta is one of the world’s most ancient religious philosophies and one of its broadest.
