Xie Lian and Hua Cheng are attacked by White No Face, but run away when they realize they can’t win. They free Mu Qing and Feng Xin, so that the two of them can escape and report the situation back to heaven. Xie Lian and Hua Cheng chase after White No Face, and find out that he has devoured the bandage ghost Lang Ying, who was a Yong’An citizen. White No Face escapes to the volcano kiln on Mount Tonglu, and Xie Lian and Hua cheng chase after him to prevent him from emerging as a more powerful supreme ghost. But when they jump inside, Xie Lian and White no face are the only ones inside the kiln. White no face’s true plan is revealed: which is to transform Xie Lian into a supreme ghost king. Cliffhanger into book 4, which is a flashback.
