This week we bring you a lovely chat with JJ Koczan from The Obelisk, and his bird....birdy? We dug into his involvement in the heavy music scene...how he got started as a journalist, why he runs the Obelisk as largely a one-man show, how to catch the attention of journalists and bloggers (don't start an e-mail to JJ with "Hey guys!", and how he got involved in editing the Roadburn daily magazine. JJ is a lovely, thoughtful, and funny dude who does an incredible amount of heavy lifting for tons of small bands, labels, and promoters.
