Blynd Submyshynz Episode 6: Nighthawk from Heavy Temple

Blynd Submyshynz is a podcast from the wild minds of Jeff Wilson (KOOK, Glory or Death Records, Heavy San Jose) and JD Norton (Heavy San Jose). Our goal is to expose you to new music in the DIY scene, and hang out with musicians we know or want to know better. Every week we'll take submissions from any band who finds our email address ([email protected])...listen to them for the first time with our special guest and give honest reactions, and talk about things affecting DIY musicians around the globe.

In the sixth episode of Blynd Submyshynz, we talk to Nighthawk, bass player and lead singer for Heavy Temple. Strap in, because this is a wild one. We talk about festivals in general, and the time we saw Heavy Temple at Psycho Las Vegas...there's a Psycho slide shows, stories about sharing the elevator with Abbath, and our friend Stradton's legendary Psycho spreadsheet going around on Instagram. Nighthawk talks about listening to Billy Idol on the stoop every Saturday. Somehow the trailer for the new Nicholas Cage movie Jiu Jitsu comes up, as do Toby Keith, Guy Fieri, Sex with Legolas, pornographic cryptid fanfiction, and the fact that our friend Gareth produced one of this weeks blind submissions. Also, at the Merch Table Jeff whips out his Pound nightpants and the original painting Adam Burke did for KOOK's first album.

Nighthawk's quarantine listening habits include Bad Bunny, Interpol. Scorpions, and Tribulation. Yup.
