Madeline Bocaro is our guest to talk about her book “In Your Mind: The Infinite Universe of Yoko Ono”. Madeline tells the story of Yoko Ono and there’s a good chance you will learn something about her that you never knew. This book cover’s Yoko’s entire life – her childhood, her art, her films, her music and her activism for peace and women’s rights. Some astounding details in the book going back 33 years before she met John.
We all know Yoko has been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism, especially when the Beatles broke up but she’s been facing adversity since long before that. Madeline writes about her battles as an Asian woman, a child of war in Japan along with being the wife of John Lennon. Madeline has been following Yoko’s career since the mid 1960s. After exchanging letters for a handful of years, she finally got to meet Yoko in person. She’ll share that story and much, much more in this episode.
