Are allocated bourbons really worth all the hype? Can you notice a major taste difference? Are there shelf available products out there that taste just as good if not better? Well these are all questions worth exploring. In this episode Randy sets up Wes and Lindsey on a "double blind taste test". Double blind meaning, the tasters do not know what bottles are in the test AND they do not know what bourbons are in the glasses. It could be an allocated whiskey, or it may just be a pretty good shelfer. We think you will find the results interesting! We TOTALLY recommend you doing your own double blind. Have a friend line up some allocated whiskeys against some good shelf available bourbons and see what your palate prefers!
