In what is probably going to be the last Bald Move Breaking Bad podcast ever, we discuss the awesome season three finale that is episode 313, “Full Measure”. So much to talk about, from a back to the beginning’s cold open that has us rethinking what we know about Walt, to Mike planting his flag as an all time great in BrBa history, and the irrevocable moral choices that are going to have impacts that reverberate through the rest of the series.
It’s a great way to end things, and if this is your first time through, by all means continue to enjoy our complete coverage of one of the all time great television shows through seasons four and five. I envy you. If, like us, this is your second, third, or millionth time through, I hope you’ve enjoyed our three season retrospective watch. It has been a blast! Bring on season two of Better Call Saul!

As next episode will be our last Breaking Bad cast ever, we paused in our coverage to allow you guys to have your say about the series as a whole, or whatever is on your mind. Enjoy the flashbacks and fond memories while you can, and then buckle up, because the final two episodes of this season define the levels of crazy that Breaking Bad can get up to!

Jim and A.Ron look into a fairly polarizing episode of Breaking Bad, episode 310, “The Fly”. Some see it as a slow, ponderous, pointless exercise in budget cutting, while others see a beautiful, rich, thematic character study resting entirely on the performances of Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston. Listen in to find out which side of the divide we fall on!

We’re back! Summer just ain’t summer without some of the old Heisenberg Blue, and we’re crushing and snorting episodes from here on out until we wrap up our coverage for season three. First up, the Bryan Cranston directed, Vince Gilligan written premiere, “No Mas”. Walt wants out, Skyler wants Walt out of the house, Jesse embraces his role as the bad guy, and Walt Jr. turns down waffles. This and other shocking developments are considered, and we analyze some character arcs in the spoiler section, safely tucked away at the end of the podcast.

In this installment of Breaking Bad, episode 213, “ABQ”, AKA, “A.Ron’s Waterloo”,we find really excellent episode that works on so many visceral and emotional levels, but for at least one host, comes completely off the rails in the final 15 minutes. Other than THAT, we discuss the excellent work by Aaron Paul and Anna Gunn, Walt’s endearing qualities, such as they are, John de Lancie’s haunting portrayal of Jane’s father, Gus hiding in plain sight, and one grizzled old fixer dude in Saul Goodman’s employ… I doubt we see much more of him. All this, a smattering of feedback, and the guys get philosophical about season 3 in the spoiler section.

Welcome to our coverage of Breaking Bad episode 211, “Mandala”! This is a pivotal episode in Breaking Bad history, and Jim and A.Ron go almost two hours on a very deep dive, discussing among other things our “heroin; not even once” personal philosophy, the rapid deterioration of both Jane… and Jesse’s apartment, say goodbye to our friend Combo, and get philosophical about the Buddhist concept of “mandala”. It’s a superior and meaningful episode of Breaking Bad, and we got a lot of feedback, and one of the healthiest spoiler sections we’ve had for awhile. Enjoy!

Well friends, it’s time to say our final goodbyes, to shut off the lights, and to head home. Join us for part one of our farewell series as we speculate on the fates of the remaining characters post-series lives, and give recommendations of other shows to try to fill in the void in your television viewing habits now that Breaking Bad has exited stage left.
Then we conclude our cast with two interviews, one with Jason from the Nattercast, in which we discuss the “dream” theory regarding “Felina”, whether Vince took it too easy on Walt when all is said and done, and what our hopes for Better Call Saul are. The other interview is with the mysterious figure Dr. Barry Goodman, of Madrigal Electromotive fame. Is he official? What ties does he have with the cast and crew of Breaking Bad? Is he even a doctor? What’s next for Madrigal, and their subsidary, Vamanos Pest Control?

And now we arrive at the end, “Felina”. I had such an awesome time at our Breaking Bad finale party, that it didn’t even sink in until my private rewatchings at home how bittersweet it was. Walt falling dead in the arms of his lover; science, chemistry, even meth, after having finally provided for his family, made peace with his wife, and freed his partner… it was pretty intense. A lot of people, critics and fans, have quibbles about the pacing, the plot, the neatness of it all, but to me, it was a love letter from Vince to us. Like Batman to Gotham city, “Felina” perhaps wasn’t the ending that Walt, and by extension, us, deserved. But it was the ending that we needed.
Join us in this episode as we begin our saying good bye to this old friend of ours. We talk ricin, laser pointers, football shaped heads, unrequited love, the futures of the still-living components of the White family and associates, Jack’s obsession with the word “partner”, your feedback, your voicemails, and much much more.
But wait! There’s more! Next week we will return for the last scheduled time, to wrap up the cast. We’ll do a final tally of our predictions, we’ll let you crow about yours, and consider anything you want to say about the final season and Breaking Bad as a whole. The Walking Dead is coming up next, and so is the Watching Dead, and wouldn’t you know it, we’re doing a Kickstarter to make our coverage more awesome. Please, please check out our video if nothing else, I’m super proud of the work my partner, good partner, hard working partner, 50/50 partner, Jim did on the it. I can almost promise you’ll laugh.

The End of Breaking Bad. Wow. I think I’m still in denial, honestly, but what I’m not denying is this: this was the most incredible finale season I’ve ever seen, and I am 100% satisfied with how things went for the final episode.
Thanks to everyone who showed up for our Finale party tonight, thanks to everyone who joined in on USTREAM, thanks to everyone who has supported us through this season, starting with our Kickstarter project, all the way up through each and every week with your feedback, theories, speculation, spoilers, you all make this cast what it is.
Can’t wait to see what you all think this week! And don’t forget, we’ll be doing a special wrap up edition next week, and we might have an expanded mailbag for this week or next if we get the expected volume of mail.

The penultimate episode turned out to be the calm before the presumed storm of the finale. It featured many scenes of quiet introspection, a character study of two desperate men; one with no choices available to him at all, and the other with a few good choices left but lacking the will to act on any of them, too prideful and stubborn to admit defeat. Not to his lawyer, not to the authorities, not to his family, not to death himself.
Come join us for a discussion of vulgar neo-nazi gang signs, dopey, dead-eyed pieces of shit, the arguable “death” of Heisenberg, grey matters, the plump, full lips gang, Flynn’s righteous anger, and the straw(s) that un-broke the Heisenberg’s back.

We had a lot to say about this episode, without talking about the actual episode. Is that weird? It’s just all our thoughts and feelings about this season, and where it’s going, and whether we feel good about it or not. It’s a weird “instant cast” for a weird, slower paced, brutal penultimate episode. I think my last hopes for even a modicum of happy ending died tonight. Can’t wait to see what everybody else thought!

Watching this episode took a year off my life, Princess Bride-style. It felt like it lasted 3 weeks long. It was sad, heart-pounding, gut wrenching, and absolutely a stunning hour of television. While quite a few people got some of the broad strokes right, again, Vince Gilligan and crew made sure that we were all left guessing and trying to puzzle out where we were going until The End… and what an end it was. Jim and A.Ron struggle to put their thoughts into words as we deliver a instant take where we try to make sense of how we got here, what we thought of it, and where we’re left. This episode, 512 entitle “Rabid Dog” turned out to be a bit of a breather, especially compared with the previous 3 of this final season. Not a bad thing, or our hearts would explode before the end. Still lots and lots to talk about, including hitting Walt where he “really” lives, the sour turn Skyler, Marie, and Hank seemed to take this week, the continued heart break of poor Walt Jr, Aaron Paul and Dean Norris’s continued excellence, Babylon 5, Walt’s room clearing ability, and much more. All this, your awesome feedback and analysis, as well as a bit of spoiler discussion after the protective wall of music! Hope you enjoy!

A.Ron and I rushed off to the mics again to talk about episode 512, “Rabid Dog”. We ask the hard questions such as: Has Skyler broken bad? Has Hank broken bad? Is there any freakin’ one on this show who HASN’T broken bad? Also, what would Huel do with Walt’s money?

Jim and A.Ron celebrate one of the greatest episodes in Breaking Bad / Television history! By anyone’s estimate, episode 511, “Confessions”, was tense, gripping, and incredibly satisfying to watch. We can’t disagree.
Join us for an indepth discussion of manipulation, frozen firearms, creepy manhugs, Aaron Paul’s subtler moments, Hank trapped in a jar, and much, much more. All this, and our all-star listener feedback and voicemails, as well as our spoiler section, safely ensconced behind a wall of protective outro music.
I’d like to pride a few links that are relevant to parts of our discussion; Anna Gunn’s New York Times op-ed on her experiences playing Skyler White, and Mo’ Ryan’s piece furthering the examination the frequent viewer hatred of her character. Great reads!

Did we just watch one of the best hours of television, or The Best Ever? Jim and A.Ron debate that point as they struggle to process the absolutely incredible hour of television that was Breaking Bad episode 511, “Confessions”. All the pieces were there the whole time, hidden in plain sight. But no one saw Walt’s “confession” and the impact it would have. No one forsaw the consequences of a single boosted bag of weed. And what else is lurking out there, in two flash forwards and an enigmatic scene between Meth Damon and his Uncles of Anarchy? I sure as hell don’t know, but can’t wait to find out!

Sorry for the delay on the release, we had some nasty technical problems, but here we are with our complete coverage of this week’s episode of “Breaking Bad”, entitled “Buried”. We talk a lot about Skyler’s breaking bad, Hank’s poor handing of his interrogation, Walt’s superhuman digging ability, Marie’s stone slab slap, and Walt’s face vs. a linoleum floor. All this plus your feedback, voicemails, and some light spoilers in the spoiler section.

Okay, first off, AMC has spoken, and they’re calling these episodes 50x, so we’re following suit. We’ll figure out how to fix the titles of the feeds later, but just wanted you to know what’s up going forward.
Now with that out of the way, holy shit what an episode. I have a feeling I’ll be saying that a lot this season. Tune in to our Instant Take podcast as Jim and I hit the mics hard and fast and dish out what we thought about tonight’s episode. Hope you guys enjoy, and don’t forget that we’ll be posting our Instant Take written reviews tonight as well. You should have plenty of Breaking Bad content to pour over!

We’re three podcasts into our coverage of Breaking Bad The Final Season, and we’ve finally arrived at the main event. A heavyweight prize fight between Hank and Walt, scheduled for 8 rounds! Join us for our complete, in depth coverage of the season premiere of Breaking Bad, “Blood Money”. How in-depth, you ask? Well, if this podcast were to be distributed evenly over the entire earth, it would cover the tallest mountain to the depth of two hours. Hey, if Lucas can mix measures of time and space, so can I!
Inside we talk about Hank’s case of PTSD (post traumatic shit disorder), Skyler’s “stay out of my territory” moment, Badger’s epic Trek script and it’s possible deeper meanings, the intricacies of GPS trackers, housing values in the ABQ, Walt’s penchant for copying traits of his victims, and Jesse’s Paperboy technique. All this, and tons and tons of listener feedback, and a very light spoiler section, as always safely cordoned off behind our theme music.

Oh my god it is GOOD TO BE BACK! With a supercharged season of Breaking Good courtesy our elite cadre of Kickstarter Backers, Jim and I are champing at the bit to get this stuff going, and the result was about an hour and forty minutes of us gabbing about this, the FINAL season of Breaking Bad.
We talk about pre-season hype, pre-season promotions, a character by character analysis of where we left them and predictions for where they’re going, this season’s potential impact on Breaking Bad’s legacy, what we’re excited about, what we’re nervous about, and lots and lots of thoughts, questions, theories, and predictions from you, the listener.
Take care before proceeding into the spoiler section, as we have surprise casting news, episode by episode break down of all of the final season’s titles, a brief synopsis of each, with a bit of analysis thrown in. But, in an experiment, I saved the super megawatt spoilers into a google doc without reading them, to selfishly give myself an opportunity to at least enjoy the first episode of the final season spoiler free. Welcome to the mid-season wrap of for season five of Breaking Bad! In this we turn the podcast over to you, the listener. After a few show notes and news discussion, we discuss your takes, insights, and speculations, and dish a bit of our own in between.
A few things we discuss in our show that we wanted to put in our notes, first fellow fan Andrew Zimmerman’s has submitted some new theme music that’s totally awesome, and also banging. Check it out at the end of our cast and let us know if we should add it to our pre-show rotation! Finally, we mention one of the best ways to get introduced to The Walking Dead, our next podcast project, is by watching the Apocalypse Fan Edit version that, much like a George Foreman grill, cuts out the fat leaving the juicy succulent meat for your enjoyment. Note that to ethically enjoy the Apocalypse Fan Edit, you must have a license to the original media, either on DVD, Bluray, or perhaps iTunes subscription.
See you next year, or hopefully in October for the Watching Dead!

An unusual poem for an unusual podcast. A.Ron’s in Seattle and I’m left to run the studio myself. Unfortunately, I’m like Jesse on his first cook, fumbling with the controls, shouting “Yo, bitch!” into the air, getting Fun-Yuns dust and chili powder everywhere. And so we resort to the backup recording devices. A.Ron had a flight to catch so we chat for a little over an hour about our takes and some corrections from last episode and decide to save the feedback until the season 5.1 wrapup podcast next week. Tonight we mark the passing of one of the all time great television characters. The question remaining is how many iconic characters will we see go before this tragedy is all said and done? Will this really be an “everybody dies” situation? Can we hold out hope for Walt, Jesse, Skyler, Jr., Holly, Hank, Marie, or Saul? Only time will tell. Join us in our coverage of the penultimate episode of this mini-season of Breaking Bad, as we discuss the late, great Mantrout and his dead mackerel eyes, Skyler checking out, Jesse calling bullshit, meth pops, dirty DEA bosses, Gomey’s Look, Walt’s crocodile tears, and Walt’s newest lab assistant, little Ricky Hitler.

Very excited to be talking with Dave Porter, the composer for the score of Breaking Bad. He was gracious enough to talk about his production efforts for the show, including the process he uses to get that fantastically evocative sound we all love so much, the various crazy instruments and synthesizers he uses, his thoughts on his favorite sequences and themes for the show, as well as a few of his upcoming projects, like a Breaking Bad score album, and the score for an upcoming horror film, Smiley!

In this week’s episode, we have a bit of purely speculative (read: most likely bullshit) news on the future of Breaking Bad after the final season concludes, as well as new theme music courtesy some friends of ours in Germany (see bottom of show notes for more details)! We then do our customary recap, where we discuss the greatest cold open in Breaking Bad history, Todd’s new pet, Gomez as the worst field agent in DEA history, the anti-christ’s methylamine, the most uncomfortable dinner scene this side of Star Trek VI, Mike’s restraint half-measure, and Walt’s sublimely smug, punch-able face. So this is kind of awkward. Months of waiting, weeks of intense anticipation, days of breathless excitement, and then the premier came, and it was kind of just… okay? Okay on the Breaking Bad scale happens to put it better than just about any show on the air, but still. What did we like? What didn’t we like? What did we learn, and what new questions were raised? And what did you, the fellow Breaking Bad fan have to say? This one was long, as we had a shocking amount of email to plow through, but we hope it was worth it, and look forward to seeing how this fascinating show manages to work its way through it’s fifth and final season.

Welcome to this bittersweet episode of Breaking Good! We are over the moon about the way the season went, but sad that we have to wait almost a year to find out what’s next for Walt and Jesse. We reflect on our favorite moments, thoughts for next season, predictions that came true and those that flamed out, and read the final thoughts from our listeners on Breaking Bad.
Remember, this will NOT be our final Breaking Bad cast. We’ll be back next season, and throughout the offseason with occasional news, and recaps of older episodes. Stay tuned! And if you’re hungering for something a bit more current, follow us on the Watching Dead, recapping AMC’s zombie-fest, The Walking Dead.

Breaking Bad season four is in the books! Last night’s episode “Face Off” capped off a remarkable story arc that has lasted over two seasons, and where it goes from here, is anyone’s guess.
In this episode, Jim and A.Ron recap the episode, analyze how the various plots and machinations resolved, talk about lose ends, and speculate a bit about what comes next for our favorite show. We had so much thoughts by ourselves that we couldn’t get hardly any feedback in. So, Wednesday we’re recording round 2, that features nothing but thoughts from you guys.

Holy shit! No time for witty text, here’s Jim and A.Ron’s Instant Review of “Face Off” in podcast form! It’s less than 15 minutes long, and sort of unusually low-key. We were trying to be quiet since my five year old was asleep in the next room over. 😀

Did you know Jim has a Halloween article that explains how you can dress like your favorite Breaking Bad character? Did you know we have a new t-shirt as an homage to the Kenny Rogers getup from 401 “Box Cutter?” Now you know!
This week we discuss dramatic crying, playing spin the revolver, burger-flipping knock and talks, Tuvok’s mastery of the art of dickishness, Meat Eating Man’s magic hands, stress smoking, playing with fire, ricin emergencies, cold packs and hot stoves, and cap things off with the Mother of Breaking Bad Theory discussions.
Lots of feedback from you guys and gals; even cutting all the emails telling us about Walt’s butcher’s thumb on the meth scales, and consolidating all the feedback on Gus vs Walt poison theories, we still had nearly too much to read. Thanks for making our lives difficult on the feedback section! We love it.
Next week is the final Breaking Bad of season four. Sad, but true! We are going to do a final Breaking Good the week after Breaking Bad finishes up, so please hold your “overall season thoughts” until then, in the interests of saving our sanity processing all of the feedback. Great Odin’s raven, that was a good episode. It took me and Jim quite a while to work our way through it, and then you all weighed in. This is a beefy cast. Chew slowly, savor the episode, let it take time to digest.
First, we ask your help getting our officially unofficial cast nominated for the People’s Choice Podcast Awards. You guys always come through for us, and we’d appreciate you taking the time.
Then we dig straight in. We talk about tongue shots, scales balancing, Walt’s face, Gus’s possible man crush on Jesse, Ted’s dumb, smarmy ass, a bridge too far for Tio, Hank’s suspicious mind, Carnivore’s performance problems, Walt begging, twice, badass Volvo station wagons, Breaking Bad’s OCD obsession with cleanliness, and Walt getting low.
Then we consider your fine feedback, and consider some brief spoilers for the rest of the season.

In this week’s episode we discuss tiger eyes, chicken slinging sons of bitches, Pontiac Aztecs with sweet ass camping packages, smoke breaks, lots of angles, some Terminator type shit, the Quicken, dinner time with Gus, and savage beatings.
We unload a massive dose of listener feedback, with great takes about Gus’s past, the Creation of Adam, the significance of swimming pools, and Nietzsche. We finish off with our traditional spoiler segment, which contains many actual spoilers for a change!

We talk about all things Gus, Jesse’s shirt, Chilean history, perfect storms, the significance of eyeballs, and more listener feedback than you can shake a GPS tracker at.
In the spoiler section, we talk about next week’s episode, Jesse’s loyalty, and a listener’s contribution.
Something else we touch on is how you can help us defray hosting costs by checking out our Breaking Bad store and Amazon affiliate links. If you’re buying stuff from Amazon, please consider using our affiliate link. It costs you nothing, and throws a few pennies our way.
Thanks for your continuing support on iTunes! Your reviews and subscriptions keep us up in the rankings and expands us to new listeners! We love getting your thoughts, speculation, and/or feedback, and try our level best to get as much of these in to our cast as possible, so keep emailing it to us, or share it with us on Twitter or Facebook. One of these week’s we won’t be able to get to it all, but if that ever happens, we will at the very least personally respond to you. Next week is “Bug”, but you don’t have to wait for then to come back, because I’ll be posting news every day around noon EST. Thanks again for listening!

Well, here is our little experimental insta-cast! It’s 15 minutes of raw, un-rehearsed reaction. It doesn’t have a full recap, or in-depth analysis, we ask more questions than anything else. Let us know what you think. If you like it, and we can fit it into our schedules, we’ll try it again.
In about an hour, we’ll have our written instant reviews up. Tomorrow, we do the full cast! We love getting your thoughts, speculation, and/or feedback, so keep emailing it to us, or share it with us on Twitter or Facebook. We’ll read and use as much of it as we have time for in the cast. Make sure you get it to us before 6pm EST if you want a chance to have it read. See ya then!

There has been a lot of confusion going around about the future of Breaking Bad, what with Aaron Paul mentioning that there is going to be two more seasons, and an Entertainment Weekly article claiming that Breaking Bad is getting “canceled” after season five. Our advice: be cool, baby. Like a little Fonzie, because unless I hear Vince Gilligan is getting less than he wants or is being forced to do more than he wants, I’m not going to worry about it whether we get two more seasons of eight episodes or one more of 16.
In the recap, we discuss Raging, tipping pet peeves, love letters to the American muscle car, Christ imagery, Eyebrows of Doom, adult conversations, who gets to wear the bacon gauntlet this week, the importance of a snack spread during high level criminal meetings, loyalty, Aaron Paul’s iron lock on next year’s Emmy awards, and the value of clean living, vitamins, and Googlefu.
We have TWO METRIC TONS of feedback and listener speculation to plow through. We did the best we could to fit it all in, and I believe we were successful. We have a lively discussion of the Madrigal Electromotive website, and we consider the shifting listener opinion of Jim’s maybe-not-as-batshit-crazy as it seems coffee theory. Listener Nick from Ottawa had some mind blowing predictions and speculation that we somehow missed, but he had this down as far back as episode 403 and 404! Check out the full text of his research here.
In the spoiler section we discuss the names and spoiler summaries (the ones AMC posts as the “short description” on their website) that recently got leaked, and talk about what they might mean. These are legit spoilers, so if you want to remain pure, stay away!!
Thanks for your continuing support on iTunes! Your five star reviews gives us a boost as we read them and helps build the community. As we hope is evident in our cast, we love getting your thoughts, speculation, and/or feedback, so keep emailing it to us, or share it with us on Twitter or Facebook. Speaking of Facebook, if you have an opinion on how long we should make these podcasts, be sure to vote in our online poll! We’ll use as much as time permits on the air. One of these week’s we won’t be able to get to it all, but if that ever happens, we will at the very least personally respond to you. Next week is “Hermanos”, but you don’t have to wait for then to come back, because I’ll be posting news every day around noon EST. Thanks again for listening!

Thankfully there was no real news of note this week, because we were packed to the rafters with recap and feedback!
We discuss ineffectual truck defense systems, Walt unexpectedly switching up the Big Lie for the Big Truth, Eyebrows landing jabs, but in the end being humiliated by a Coke machine, Jesse with the shakes, Walt Jr. being bought off, Walt being a self centered dick and subcontracting out the dirty work, a four cornered coinflip, and TUCKER!! Then Jesse shovels well, Mike polishes the Pinkman, Gus get’s a message, and Skyler protects the family from the man that protects the family that is protected by… wait. Did this just become an Allstate Commercial?
We got TONS of feedback, which we tried our level best to share with you. We had an epic Skyler rant, three legitimately brilliant theories, and a take on meth from someone who’d know. Also, listener Matthew M. sent in video evidence that not even dogs are immune to Breaking Bad’s charm. We also announce our “name Jesse’s band” contest winner, and announce our intention to do a Walking Dead podcast this fall.
In the spoiler section we discuss our thoughts of what Walt could do to be unlikable in our eyes, a recent interview with RJ Mitte, scenes from the next Breaking Bad, and how the cartel and Gus situation could be resolved.
Even without setting a specific goal, we raked in over 20 iTunes reviews. Thank you, you guys are amazing, that kind of support really keeps us going. As we hope is evident in our cast, we love getting your thoughts, speculation, and/or feedback, so keep emailing it to us, or share it with us on Twitter or Facebook. We’ll use as much as time permits on the air. One of these week’s we won’t be able to get to it all, but if that ever happens, we will at the very least personally respond to you. Next week is “Problem Dog,” and I’ll be MIA for much of the week, but Jim has promised to hold down the Breaking Bad News fort. So keep checking right here for your daily news recap. Thanks again for listening!

Welcome back! This week on the podcast we celebrate V-Day for fans of Breaking Bad as news broke over the weekend that the show has been picked up for it’s fifth and final season by AMC! I also allude to the article I wrote last week on one way that Hank and Walt could work together. I’ve got some really great feedback on this that I’m going to write up when we get a lull in the the weekly news.
Moving on to the recap, we discuss Aztec badassery, Walt’s good vibrations, Jesse making good use of keys, Hank getting out, right before he gets pulled back in, the Incurable Cough of Death rearing it’s ugly, tuberculous head, knocking boots at the Casablanca, Tuvok’s mastery of the forklift, the least subtle assassination attempt of all time, and Walt’s overweening arrogance.
In the spoiler section, we talk about some spoilers for next week, Mike’s fatherly ways, and what this picture of Walt Jr. implies.
We’re up to 72 iTunes reviews, or almost three quarters of the way to the century mark, only five episodes in! You guys are incredible, and we remain very pumped and grateful for your support. We love getting your thoughts, speculation, and/or feedback, so keep emailing it to us, or share it with us on Twitter or Facebook. We’ll use as much as time permits on the air. This week’s contest is who can come up with the best name for Jesse’s band? Make us laugh, and win a Breaking Bad poster. Simple! Keep checking right here for your daily news recap, and check out Twitter where Jim holds it down all day every day. Next week’s “Corner” looks like another tense one, see you back then!

Welcome back! This week on the podcast we quickly cover some show news; a positive update on the Sony/AMC battle, and a Q/A with Vince Gilligan that hints (ever, ever so slightly) at a possible post Breaking Bad spin off.
During the recap, we discuss Mike’s cold open, what a doozy of an episode this turned out to be, the fine art of card counting, what Hank may or may not know, how cool it would be to have Gale as a friend, how The French Connection influences Breaking Bad, if Saul has his eye on the Endgame Option, and what Jesse’s role will be in Gus’s organization moving forward.
In the spoiler section, we talk about some nuggets that came out of a Jonathan Banks interview (potential spoilers), and try to figure out how this information fits in with what else we know about the season.
We continue to be blown away and very appreciative of all your support. If you haven’t, please consider leaving us a positive iTunes review, or if you have thoughts, speculation, or feedback, email it to us, or share it with us on Twitter or Facebook. We’ll use as much as we can on the air. Keep checking right here for your daily news recap, and check out Twitter all day every day while Jim draws your attention to all of the good Breaking Bad stuff online. Looks like next week’s “Shotgun” is going to be another barn burner. See you then!

Welcome back! This week on the podcast we talk a little bit of news with reports that Sony and AMC are having some differences of opinion on season five of Breaking Bad. What, if anything, will this do to our favorite show? We also analyze some of the Skyler hate that’s been going around the net. Is it warranted? “Who told Walt to go home?” is revisited, with a definitive answer courtesy V. Gilligan.
During the recap, we discuss the fine art of fronting, ladder wielding pig riders, non-attached casinos, eyebrow submissions, Saul’s professional bathroom apocalypse, rice pudding gut rot, playing paranoia limbo, and the meaning of “Open House”. After a brief musical interlude, we check out next week’s preview, and dish some spoilers and speculation.
You guys have been heroic in your support. We really appreciate it. This week Jim kicks off another iTunes review drive, with this week’s target fifty fifty-five reviews! If you haven’t taken the time to leave us an iTunes review, it would help us in our rankings which is how we stay motivated and continue to get the word out. If you have thoughts, speculation, or feedback, you can reach us via email, on Twitter or Facebook. Time permitting, we intend to read any interesting/funny/informative takes you send us. Keep checking right here for your daily news recap, and check out Twitter all day every day while Jim draws your attention to all of the good Breaking Bad stuff online. See ya next week for the sure to be exciting “Bullet Points”.

First off, thanks so much for your support. Jim and I are completely blown away by all the iTunes reviews, Facebook likes, and email feedback we got. In fact, we got so much we could not include it all in the cast, but we tried. Speaking of trying and failing, we’re both down one on our prediction list. Wah, wahhhhh….
But enough about that. First up, I challenge some of Jim’s takes from last week, we touch on a cranky dude from Seattle’s complete failure to get the point of Breaking Bad. We recap the show, and considering the relative health of Jesse’s lifestyle, how Walt’s gangster side is being figuratively and literally knocked down a peg, Hank’s mancrush on his PT, Skyler’s new career in hostile takeovers, Victor’s replacement, and Mike’s apparent lack of attention to detail.
After a brief musical interlude, we check out next week’s preview, and dish some spoilers and speculation. There are some things we report on here that, if true, could significantly spoil the season. You’ve been warned!
You guys have been just awesome with all your support. Keep it coming! We don’t want to rest on our iTunes laurels, we need more iTunes reviews to continue to get the word out. We love getting email or posts on our forums. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook so you can keep up with our latest posts and info about all things Breaking Bad. The next big push is to get us over 25 Facebook fans by next week so we can qualify for a real fansite. It shouldn’t be hard, we just need 3 of you to click on the big “like” button below. Time permitting, we intend to read any interesting/funny/informative takes you send us. Keep checking right here for your daily news recap, and check out Twitter all day every day while Jim draws your attention to all of the good Breaking Bad stuff online. Hope you enjoy this week’s episode, and we’ll see you next time!

The long wait is over! Season four of our favorite morally ambiguous crystal meth chemistry show is back, and Jim and A.Ron are all over it. After a bit of showkeeping and news, the guys break down the episode in detail.
How concerned is Gus with purity, really? How effective can a bodyguard be when his sinus cavities are obviously packed full of meat and he is constantly suffering from a series of elaborate heart attacks? How much fun did the practical effects guys have with the blood and gore with this episode? What did Jesse really mean by “now we’re on the same page?” How are Gale’s “lab notes” going to play out from this point on? All these questions and more are pondered and explored.
After a brief musical interlude, we check out next week’s preview, and dish some spoilers and speculation. Nothing too intense this week, but please make sure you turn the cast off at the music if you don’t want to be spoiled whatsoever.
