Join John and I as he checks in from the road before a stop on their run with Dance Gavin Dance.  We talk a bit about their first few shows back from the pandemic, and getting reacclimated to playing live again. We touch on how shows pre pandemic felt like a place people wanted to go to be seen, but not be there for the music, to where now it seems everyone is there for the bands and to let loose at shows.

John and I also talk about their newest album, Phototroph, some of the lyrical themes and how the albums interesting artwork came to be.  We also get into John's journaling and talking about how that's helped him over the years and when he started doing that and much more in this week's podcast.
