55. Derrick Wiliams aka Blk Cnvs

My guest this week is Derrick Williams aka Black Canvas. Derrick and I have been friends for awhile and have seen each other venture into different avenues within the music scene, from me booking shows and doing this podcast to Derrick getting into taking the time to become an MC, and how his life experiences have shaped his art over the years. We get into some discussions about the politics of Grand Rapids, as well as some conversations about our current social issues, and how Derrick conveys these thoughts into his music.
