It's taking us a little longer than usual, butwe are bearing down on the conclusion of Season 2! This week we’re covering the penultimate episode of season 2, Happy Go Lucky, but unfortunately, Lucky did not seem happy.

This week, we’ve got Look Who’s Stalking, which is a reference to Look Who’s Talking, the 80s movie about the inner monologue of babies, which I thought starred Steve Guttenberg. I was really excited about that until I realized I was thinking of Three Men and a Baby, another 80s movie about babies that starred Steve Guttenberg.

However, Look Who’s Talking stars Meg's favorite Bruce Willis, so while it has nothing to do with Steve Guttenberg, it’s not a total loss for us.

This week we’re discussing the penultimate episode of season 1: A Trip to the Dentist. Despite what you may think, this episode is not, in fact, about dental hygiene, but we do get some lovely BFF bonding between Veronica and Wallace. That’s about the only nice thing that happens though, because this episode mostly centers around Veronica’s investigation of Shelly Pomroy’s party last year where she was raped and drugged.

V interviews anyone who may have seen her that night, and we see some old familiar 09er faces like Aaron Samuels and Blair Waldorf, and those two interchangeable 09er boys whose names I can’t ever remember.

So, you all know we tend to keep it pretty light on this pod, but we wanted to give a quick heads up that we’ll be touching on some sensitive topics this episode. We’ll definitely discuss the details surrounding Veronica’s assault and the extremely inappropriate behavior occurring at Shelly’s party, so keep that in mind if it’s a topic you like to avoid.

This week’s episode is M.A.D., the 20th episode out of 22 this season. We are in deep now, folks, and we’re barreling towards some kind of conclusion.

We don’t really get much about Lilly this week, but we get some big reveals about all of the other dramatic events in Veronica’s life. Keith’s serving Lianne notice via the classified ads, Clarence Wiedman knows Veronica planted a bug on him, and Veronica learns that she wasn’t the only one drugged at Shelly Pomeroy’s party.  

Annnd, she also learns that the drugs in question were provided by Logan. I guess we have to talk about that.

Everyone gets reeeeal amped about Veronica and Logan’s first kiss, but Meg won't let you forget V was making out with Leo in the first scene! And there's another episode romance: Keith and Felicia. Also, Mac is back! And Corny! And the Camelot Motel! Annnd, there’s also a school bombing sub plot that is given far too little weight in the midst of it all.

This week we’re discussing Kanes and Abel’s, and true to the title, we get so much speculation about Lilly’s murder, the Kanes’ potential involvement, and how Abel Koontz fits into all of it.

But what’s a Veronica Mars episode without Veronica working multiple cases at once? This time around, we get another interchangeable ‘09er, who’s upset that she might not be valedictorian, but the only thing that really matters about that mystery is that it introduces us to our second favorite PI in Neptune, CA! This week’s episode is Betty and Veronica, and while we get some pretty major movement in the Lilly Kane case, the best part of this episode is obviously that it’s all about Wallace, our favorite best friend, the second best man in Veronica’s life (after Keith), and the Sac N Pac employee of the month, every month.
