Season Three finale! When this aired, we had no idea we'd be getting a movie AND a fourth season years down the road. This episode has tons of season one flair and we can't wait to dig into it.
Check out our website.
Today we’re breaking down Season 3, Episode 19 - Weevils Wobble But They Don’t Fall Down. As the title foretells, Weevil is back, finally! And once again he’s facing a very accusatory tone from Veronica.
She just loves to never believe him! It’s their thing! This episode is a fun one, I love the rich student thieves storyline and the side plot with Wallace and his throwback to the pilot beach plane. I don’t especially love how the episode ends, though.
A penultimate episode sex tape scandal is not really what you expect.. Or want.
We're nearing the end and Meg and Sam both have senioritis! We said fudge it, and decided to say spoilers!
This is the one where Piz finally wins Sam over! Meg rejoices!
Hey hey, we're back with Season 3, Episode 16, Un-American Graffiti! Spoiler alert, we haaaaaated it. Well, Sam hated it, and managed to peer pressure Meg into some negative feelings as well!
This week we’re talking Season 3, Episode 15 Papa’s Cabin. This is the one where the dean’s murder mystery is solved and yet we still have 5 episodes left! Let’s hope they’re all just friends shows with Wallace and Mac and all the buds just hanging out.
No murder! No drama! Just good clean fun!
Sam shares her radio call in experience and Meg imagines a world in which Veronica holds up gas stations.

This week we're talking Season 3, Episode 14 Mars, Bars, in which Veronica goes to jail, and honestly we're just surprised it didn't happen sooner.
This week we’re talking Season 3, Episode 13 Postgame Mortem, and for an episode that’s about Wallace’s basketball coach getting murdered, we see surprisingly little of Wallace himself.
This week we're talking Season 3, Episode 12, There's Gotta Be a Morning After Pill. We see the return of #1 Feminist Bonnie Capistrano, and we're asked to believe that Tim Foyle is a good person!
This week we’ve got Season 3, Episode 11, Poughkeepsie, Tramps, and Thieves, in which a mystery involving a prostitute makes Veronica lose her entire mind, and makes Sam consider her own feminist journey!
We're back with Season 3, Episode 10, where the mystery is about a monkey and is very boring, and all we really care about is that Mac is back!
FINALLY the end of this first mystery of season 3. We can move onto just some good old-fashioned murder. This episode has Sam perhaps coming around to Piz? And some great Mac lines.
Oh, and Sam was right ab the Mercer and Moe thing! The prisoner/guard relationship... We'll cover that next week in an update, but we make a new revelation after recording.

We're back with Season 3, Episode 8, Lord of the Pi's! In which Sam hates everything and convinces Meg to hate it all too!
Today, we are discussing Season 3, Episode 7, Of Vice and Men. And despite the mystery of the week being a little flat - the case of the missing sully - this episode features one of the more unforgettable scenes of the entire series.
I can summon the feeling of watching drugged Veronica stumble around a parking garage in my sleep. This one keeps me awake at night, for sure.

Oh no this one has Keith Mars making BAD DECISIONS!
Today, we are discussing Season 3, Episode 5, President Evil and it’s a late Christmas gift for Sam because Weevil’s back! Sadly, Veronica treats him like trash this episode. And Wallace struggles with Mechanical Engineering.
It's Halloween on the episode and Christmas at the time of recording – what a mind F!
Check out our website!
This week on the pod, Veronica gets way too cozy with her frat brothers, Logan gets very, very sad, and Sam and Meg love Diane Ruggiero!
This week, we’ve got the third episode of Season Three, Wichita Lineman, or as Sam likes to call it, “Weevil’s back! Weevil’s back! Weevil’s back!” Orrrrr, as Meg likes to call it, “where the hell is my best friend Wallace???”
Hey everyone! Welcome back to Bring Backup, the podcast where we’re watching and discussing every episode of Veronica Mars. We are back with a brand new season, Season 3! Veronica is off to college and we are both so excited to watch her show a whole new cast of characters how much smarter she is than them.
We're also excited to see Duncan’s dorky argyle sweater make its way to a new boy!
This week we're discussing the season two finale, “Not Pictured.” This episode is a lot, to say the absolute least. But you know we never say the absolute least, so let’s just get on with it.

It's taking us a little longer than usual, butwe are bearing down on the conclusion of Season 2! This week we’re covering the penultimate episode of season 2, Happy Go Lucky, but unfortunately, Lucky did not seem happy.
This week, we’ve got Look Who’s Stalking, which is a reference to Look Who’s Talking, the 80s movie about the inner monologue of babies, which I thought starred Steve Guttenberg. I was really excited about that until I realized I was thinking of Three Men and a Baby, another 80s movie about babies that starred Steve Guttenberg.
However, Look Who’s Talking stars Meg's favorite Bruce Willis, so while it has nothing to do with Steve Guttenberg, it’s not a total loss for us.
Anyway, this is the years, continents, bloodshed speech episode. And you know we got lots to say.

This week, we’ve got Season 2, Episode 17 Plan B, and I tell you what, it is a classic Veronica Mars doozy!
So much happens, and so many of our faves show up. We get Weevil, Mac and Cassidy, Woody and Gia Goodman, and even the real witness to Logan’s fight with the PCHers on the Coronado bridge!
And we also get another contestant from the sixth cycle of America’s Next Top Model. Gotta love that UPN synergy! Let’s discuss.
This week we've got a visit from the Arrested Development kids, the return of Troy Vandergraff, and the departure of preteen Hannah. And Sam and Meg missed each other so much, they talk about it all for a very long time!

Meg and Sam have been on maternity leave, but Meg's been handling the hard part of that leave! The world is in quarantine! Meg and Sam can't be in the same room with each other!
Join us for this bonus ep, as we catch up on life and try to remember how to podcast. Weirdly, there's not much talk about Veronica Mars here.
This week, we’re talking about Season 2, Episode 14 “Versatile Toppings,” aka, The Return of Corny! Our favorite stoner is back to help Veronica solve the mystery of the pizza boy muggings. But as much as we love Corny, the main mysteries of the episode are "who is blackmailing all the gay kids at Neptune High", and "will Kristin Cavallari's guest appearance live up to that of Sam's fave Paris Hilton?"
Follow us on Instagram and Twitter. And check out our website.
This week, we’re talking about Season 2, Episode 13 “Ain’t No Magic Mountain High Enough.” We’ve got a super fun mystery-of-the-week, a little side bus crash development happening, and tons of appearances from some of our favorite series regulars.
Meg's opinion of Ms. Hauser takes a huge turn for the worse, but her love for Wallace and Van Clemmons skyrockets and even Jackie weasels her way into Meg's heart.
Speaking of love, there’s a lot going around including the hot new duo - Beavs and Mac! And Logan finds himself new fling as well.

This episode has something for everyone! And by everyone, I mean us!
We’ve got an investigation that focuses on my personal best friend Wallace Fennel, and we’ve got the Weevil/Logan best friendship front and center for Sam.
And as a bonus, we get a Java the Hut karaoke performance by mid-2000s indie darling Britt Daniel. OMG, what an ep!

This week we've got Season 2, Episode 11, Donut Run, in which we bid fond farewells to Duncan and his love child who gestated in the comatose body of his ex-girlfriend. Donut let the door hit ya on the way out!

Today we’re discussing Season 2, Episode 10, “One Angry Veronica,” which Sam was dreading watching because she thought she hated it, even though Meg assured her it is a very good episode.
How could anyone hate an episode that includes both Leo D’Amato and Wallace Fennel???

This week's episode is My Mother, The Fiend, and Veronica is absolutely overwhelmed with babies of both the robot and human variety. And you know what? So are we!

This week we’re on Season 2, Episode 8 - Ahoy, Mateys! This is the one where Veronica helps her dad solve a case involving her classmate no one has ever heard of - Marcos Oliveros.
We also get to hang out with Mac again! And Meg returns to us too in Duncan's creepy dreams which we are *not* fans of.

Join us this week as we discuss Season 2, Episode 7, Nobody Puts Baby in a Corner. This one actually has nothing to do with Dirty Dancing, and a lot to do with Veronica taking on an investigation involving child abuse. So, if that's a sensitive topic for you, take care while listening.
Check out our website.
This week we’re discussing “Rat Saw God,” which marks the return of SO. MANY. PEOPLE. - Abel Koontz, Aaron Echolls, and even Clarence Wiedman - but the only person I really want to see is my best friend Wallace, and he wasn't in this episode!
But we was comforted by two things - getting to see Cliff and Logan banter, and knowing that middle schoolers are calling the PCHers “the panty club for homos.” Let’s discuss!

This week we're talking Season 2, Episode 5, Blast From the Past. There's a lot happening, but you should mostly listen to hear Sam and Meg repeatedly say the phrase "gravy train with biscuit wheels." It's a great time!

This week's episode is Season 2, Episode 4, "Green-Eyed Monster." We see Veronica dealing with her jealousy issues, and Sam and Meg dealing with being an adult watching a teen show, and disapproving of several of Veronica's choices.

Now that we’ve reached the final episode of Season 4, there are no spoilers left to keep! That is, until we go back to recap Seasons 2 and 3, but for now it’s open season on every shocking thing that ever happened in Neptune, CA, and y’all, it’s all VERY shocking.
There’s more severed heads, the fakeout and eventual reveal of Penn Epner as the serial bomber, and after a romance spanning years, continents, and bloodshed, the ........ well it's just all huge spoilers ok, so beware!
Follow us on Twitter and Instagram. Check out our website.
We are nearing the end of Season 4 y’all, and things are coming together!
All the various metaphorical threads V and Keith have been chasing around the mad bomber come together in the very literal threads of Matty’s string art, and now they’ve got a theory there are actually two bombers! A whole bunch of other stuff happens, but it’s mostly about figuring out why Penn Epner might wanna take up the bombing mantle from Big Dick and Clyde.
Well that, and a very vivid sex dream that Meg definitely wants to talk about!

In this episode, Logan finds Maloof’s hacker and teaches him what happens when you fight a stranger in the alps, the bombing investigation takes a million turns, and we see the triumphant return of both the Bring Backup Buffy Watch, AND Clarence Freaking Weidman.
And Claudia refers to Veronica as Weevil’s crush! I would like to talk about that.
Follow us on Twitter and Instagram. And check out our website!
In this week’s episode, Veronica fights with Weevil, Leo only shows up via text message, the Mayor is a tripod, and V and Keith both make new friends, but there’s a chance that either or both friends are mass murderers.
God, Neptune really is the worst!
Check our our website! Follow us on Twitter and Instagram.
This week we discuss more Dick Casablancas, selfie murder videos, we get - or excuse me, we HAVE - to see Mercer and Tim again, ew. But all of this is boring because the real reason to watch his episode is to see Leo D’Amato, fully grown up suit wearin FBI hottie.
And also Vinny Van Lowe!
Check out our website! Follow us on Twitter and Instagram.
This episode gives us Veronica dancing to No Scrubs, the return of the Logan Echolls Inspirational Quote, and we even get to see Weevil!
But it’s not all fun and games because people also get blown up. Perhaps we should talk about that.
Visit our website! Follow us on Twitter and Instagram.
Today we’re talking Chino and the Man, the second episode of Season 4! In this ep, V and Keith start to investigate the bombing of the Sea Sprite, which means we get to meet tons of new characters, all of who may potentially be murderous bombers.
But you know what they say, make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other is Dick Casablancas! Little Dick is back! And that’s what I’m most excited about. Let’s talk about it.

We're back! And we're skipping seasons 2 and 3 so that we can talk about season 4 that just dropped on Hulu! This week we're discussing episode 1: Spring Break Forever. And just to warn you, there will be spoilers from all three of the first seasons, the movie, and even the books! But we won't spoil anything from episodes that come after the one we're discussing.
You can follow us on Twitter and Instagram or check out our website for our calendar and more info!
Guess what y’all? Tonight is the night that we finally find out who killed Lilly Kane! Tonight we’re discussing Leave it to Beaver, the season 1 finale!
And even though we have been diligently tracking this investigation, they leave us guessing all the way til the very end. Is it Logan? Is it Donut? Which rich, white boy did it????
Surprise! It’s the ****SPOILER EDITED OUT****!
Oh, and don't think I forgot.... now presenting the Echolls family's custom portrait pool house curtain:

This week we’re discussing the penultimate episode of season 1: A Trip to the Dentist. Despite what you may think, this episode is not, in fact, about dental hygiene, but we do get some lovely BFF bonding between Veronica and Wallace. That’s about the only nice thing that happens though, because this episode mostly centers around Veronica’s investigation of Shelly Pomroy’s party last year where she was raped and drugged.
V interviews anyone who may have seen her that night, and we see some old familiar 09er faces like Aaron Samuels and Blair Waldorf, and those two interchangeable 09er boys whose names I can’t ever remember.
So, you all know we tend to keep it pretty light on this pod, but we wanted to give a quick heads up that we’ll be touching on some sensitive topics this episode. We’ll definitely discuss the details surrounding Veronica’s assault and the extremely inappropriate behavior occurring at Shelly’s party, so keep that in mind if it’s a topic you like to avoid.
Visit our website. Check us out on Twitter and Instagram.
This week’s episode is M.A.D., the 20th episode out of 22 this season. We are in deep now, folks, and we’re barreling towards some kind of conclusion.
We don’t really get much about Lilly this week, but we get some big reveals about all of the other dramatic events in Veronica’s life. Keith’s serving Lianne notice via the classified ads, Clarence Wiedman knows Veronica planted a bug on him, and Veronica learns that she wasn’t the only one drugged at Shelly Pomeroy’s party.
Annnd, she also learns that the drugs in question were provided by Logan. I guess we have to talk about that.
Check out our website. Visit us on Twitter and Instagram.
This week’s episode is Hot Dogs, and HOT DOG is it a crazy one!
Duncan’s on the run, Weevil’s busted for breaking into Lilly’s bedroom, Aaron Echolls beats a man, Veronica breaks up with Leo and kisses Logan again, and she still finds time to take down a puppy theft ring! Also, this is a very strong episode for our podcast namesake! Backup rules in Hot Dog!!
And we learn that to get people to respect you, you’ve gotta taser them!
Check our our website! And our twitter! And our Insta!
This week, we’re talking about Weapons of Class Destruction, and prior to my most recent viewing, I had forgotten every last thing that happens in this episode, except for the fact that Logan punches Jonathan Taylor Thomas and then he and Veronica KISS! But per usual, there’s a lot more going on.
Everyone gets reeeeal amped about Veronica and Logan’s first kiss, but Meg won't let you forget V was making out with Leo in the first scene! And there's another episode romance: Keith and Felicia. Also, Mac is back! And Corny! And the Camelot Motel! Annnd, there’s also a school bombing sub plot that is given far too little weight in the midst of it all.
Follow us on Twitter and Instagram! And check out our website.
This week we’re discussing Kanes and Abel’s, and true to the title, we get so much speculation about Lilly’s murder, the Kanes’ potential involvement, and how Abel Koontz fits into all of it.
But what’s a Veronica Mars episode without Veronica working multiple cases at once? This time around, we get another interchangeable ‘09er, who’s upset that she might not be valedictorian, but the only thing that really matters about that mystery is that it introduces us to our second favorite PI in Neptune, CA! Vinny Van Lowe!
This week’s episode is Betty and Veronica, and while we get some pretty major movement in the Lilly Kane case, the best part of this episode is obviously that it’s all about Wallace, our favorite best friend, the second best man in Veronica’s life (after Keith), and the Sac N Pac employee of the month, every month.
Wallace has gone from being taped buck naked to the flagpole to being one of the cool kids, and honestly, it couldn’t have happened to a better guy. Let’s discuss!

We got a surprise trailer drop for Veronica Mars's Hulu debut, so you know we both dropped all our plans to break it down second by second, as soon as we possibly could. Which turned out to be about 5 hours after we first watched it.
FYI - This episode is ~~ SPOILER CITY ~~ ! Do not listen if you haven't consumed alllllll of Veronica Mars, including the movie and even the novels.
We touch on all the details and get hyped for what we saw, what we missed, what we hope to see... it's really just a pure hour of our immense joy and enthusiasm.
Check out our website! We're also on Twitter and Instagram.
Privyet! This episode has it all – from Meg Manning’s secret admirer to Logan’s emotional breakdown..
From Keith getting stalked by the Russian mob to Veronica’s phone blowing up with a crank caller…
and let’s not forget A FIRST KISS WITH DEPUTY LEOOOO!
Or the gentle arm pat from Logan.
Check our our website, our Twitter, and our Instagram!
This week we've got our two favs on either side of a case. Veronica is pissed, but Keith seems pretty... unbothered. There are also two side cases, and two big guest starts: Adam Scott and Leighton Meester.
Meg announces her plan to become the type of person who wears a pencil behind their ear and Sam gets to bask in the glory of her favorite duo: Logan and Weevil's (best) friendship.
This week we discuss Lord of the Bling, which originally aired on February 8, 2005. We follow Veronica’s search for the missing daughter of a very scary hip hop mogul, Sam fondly reminisces about doing karaoke to Camron’s “Hey Ma,” and Meg bides her time until next week, when she gets to see Deputy Leo again.
Here’s Sam singing Camron!
And, as promised, here's Veronica's wig that makes her look like a bobblehead:
Check out our website for our release schedule.
This week we discuss the 12th episode of season one, Clash of the Tritons, but unsurprisingly, we don't really get too into discussing the Tritons themselves because they're just a bunch of boring 09ers. We're more interested in Veronica's eavesdropping on everyone therapy sessions with Ms. James and with Wallace's upgrade from expositional side piece to fully fleshed out sidekick!
Check out our website for our release schedule.
On this week’s episode we’re discussing Veronica Mars Season 1 Episode 11, Silence of the Lamb. This is the one where Keith tracks down a serial killer, Aaron Paul makes an appearance as a sweaty creep (perhaps some Jesse Pinkman foreshadowing), Mac discovers she was switched at birth with Madison Sinclair and we meet Meg’s fav – Leo D’Amato in a white tee!
Oh, and if you’re scared of clowns, skip forward when Sam starts talking about her childhood bedroom...
This week’s episode is “An Echolls Family Christmas,” which originally aired on December 14, 2004.
This week Logan and Weevil are back together! But then Logan and Duncan break up! And Aaron Echolls gets stabbed! And Veronica confronts Jake Kane! The boys are all having a really hard time this week, and we’ve got a lot to say about it.
Check out our website for our release schedule.
This week’s episode is “Drinking the Kool-Aid,” which originally aired on November 30, 2004.
We’ll be discussing tech bros who sell their stocks and start a cult, as well as whether or not Aaron Samuels from Mean Girls can play Jackass as well as Logan Echolls. We also watch Veronica cycle through her emotions around the fact that Keith might not be her real dad, and it is a ROLLERCOASTER.
We also wanna remind you that our very own Meg is doing a fundraiser for St. Baldricks, and she needs your help! St. Baldricks provides funds for cancer research, and also researches ways to provide all sorts of resources to kids suffering from cancer. You can support Meg’s fundraiser at:
https://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/meglindsay.

This week we’ve got fresh, online purity tests for sale! We meet Wallace’s mom and fall ever more deeply in love with Keith Mars! We meet Meg Manning and Cindy “Mac” Mackenzie! And as if that wasn’t enough, we also meet Lilly Kane’s alleged killer, Abel Koontz! Dun, dun, dunnnnnn! There’s obviously a lot to discuss.
Check out our website for our release schedule.
Today’s episode is “The Girl Next Door,” which originally aired on November 9, 2004.
In this episode, Veronica’s neighbor, Jessica Chastain, goes missing and V fears the worst as she looks into the rude boyfriend, André. She meanwhile does a lot of homework and helps a crazy lady plan her Neptune High reunion which leads to the uncovering of some very surprising Class of 1979 information. And Logan and Weevil BOND in DETENTION!
Oh, and as promised, here’s the screenshot of Weevil and Logan in detention where Weevil’s leg is in a surely very uncomfortable position!
Check out our website for our release schedule.
Today’s episode is “Return of the Kane,” which originally aired on November 2, 2004.
SO. MUCH. HAPPENS. But don’t worry, we make sure to spend a disproportionate amount of time talking about the introduction of Logan’s parents, and how hot they are! We also manage to squeeze in the student council elections, Logan’s worst moment as a character, and a pretty big break in the Lilly Kane Murder investigation.
Oh, and as promised, here’s the 1st period art class painting that haunts Meg’s dreams.
Check out our website for our release schedule.
In today’s episode we discuss “You Think You Know Somebody,” which originally aired on October 26, 2004.
This episode has got everything - a trip to Tijuana, a former American Gladiator trafficking steroids, and Sam revelling in Troy’s downfall, while teen Meg sheds a tear. There’s also a lot of The Postal Service on the soundtrack!
Check out our website for our release schedule.
In today’s episode, we discuss “Wrath of Con,” which originally aired on October 19, 2004.
In this episode, Wallace has a crush on a damsel in distress, and Veronica reluctantly helps out. This somehow leads to Veronica dressing up as an anime character! Whatever, we’ll take it!
Check out our website for our release schedule.

In this episode, Veronica begrudgingly helps out a freshman with a big time crush on her, and we discuss what kids give their crushes now that mixed CDs don’t exist. We also see Duncan attempting to grieve for Lilly without his medication, and having a real tough time of it.
Check out our website for our release schedule.
Today’s episode is “Credit Where Credit is Due,” which originally aired on September 28, 2004.
Veronica investigates credit card fraud, and we investigate our newfound love and appreciation for Paris Hilton! Also, Wallace becomes an office aid, a plot twist that will serve episodes of this series for years to come.
Check out our website for our release schedule.
Today’s episode is all about the Pilot of Veronica Mars which originally aired September 22, 2004.
Veronica conducts a stakeout, we meet Wallace on the flag pole, Keith Mars says, “Who’s your daddy?,” and so much more. On our show, Sam does a solid Celeste Kane impression and Meg does a surprisingly good Cliff McCormack!
Takeaways: We are obsessed with Wallace and also with Veronica’s outfits. And also there is a LOT GOING ON in this show!
Meg’s phone:
