British Murders with Stuart Blues
In the sixth episode of British Murders Season 4, I tell the story of Colin Cheetham and Stuart Ludlam.
Gun enthusiast Cheetham had always dreamed of committing the perfect murder with a complete stranger as his victim.
On September 17, 2009, his dream came true as he shot and killed 43-year-old taxi driver Stuart Ludlam at Cromford Railway Station.
Cheetham had zero connection to Ludlam, and most frightening of all, there was zero motive behind the killing.
Cheetham was sentenced to life imprisonment in June 2010 with a minimum term of 30 years.
He died at HMP Wakefield on May 1, 2020, at the age of 71.
