A new night began for the coterie like any other. Val and Evangeline had a silent drive into work, Everett walked Good Boy, and Doris drew her nightly tarot card. But when Doris offered to do a tea reading to help find Ridley’s mother, the tension between herself and Val hit a breaking point, leading to harsh words, a hole in the wall, and Val storming out. Evangeline set out to calm her down, but what will Val’s beast have to say?
