Captain America Comic Book Fans
No one wrote more Captain America stories than Mark Gruenwald. His decade long run from 1985 to 1995, spanning 137 issues, introduced characters such as John Walker (USAgent), Crossbones, Diamondback, Flag Smasher, as well as iconic stories of Steve Rogers quitting the role of Captain America, being replaced and becoming The Captain, and so many more. Mark passed in 1996, at the young age of 43. Nearly 25 years later, Rick speaks with Mark's wife, Catherine Schuller to discuss Mark's love of the character, his sense of humor and practical jokes, how the stress of Marvel took it's ultimate toll, and her keeping Mark's legacy alive using his ashes mixed with ink to "ashograph" comics for Mark's fans.
