In the early to mid 1980s, John Beatty inked 23 Cap issues, creating an amazing partnership with penciler Mike Zeck, whom he went on to work with on the Secret Wars and Punisher mini-series. John talks candidly about how Mike helped get him into the industry and how he jumped at the chance to leave working with George Perez on Justice League to work with Mike on Cap, John's childhood favorite hero. Funny stories about Jim Shooter, Bob McLeod and a big misunderstanding with Mike's father that almost ended badly...
