**Sorry for the delay! We had like 5 things break on the ol' GeeklyInc backend the past week but most of those issues have been worked out! I really wanted to get y'all this ep last week but I am glad it can finally be enjoyed and loved on in your ears. Thanks!**
It sure feels good to be back in the ASOIAF dragon saddle. With the cold war boiling over we pay a visit to many of the highborn around Westeros as they process the death of Lucerys last season. And oh boy is it a somber affair. I am sure everyone will have time to grieve in a healthy way before anything too intense happens.
All future ASOIAF content will live here on our patreon! This will allow us to give the show the attention and love it deserves while freeing us to explore all the juicy tangents and musings that inspire us.

Here we are! A new Cast of Thrones series covering The House of the Dragon which premieres on August 21st. Jennifer, Nick and Michael were understandably wary of hopping back on that donkey so Tim is joined by a new pod guard of wonderful folks.
We are super excited for House of the Dragon while we are still keeping our expectations somewhat middling. But the trailers look sick.

We've come a long way. This is it, the final Game of Thrones Year Endie Awards for the HBO Show. This is probably our best work. We discuss our pre season predictions. The results are shocking. Who will be the ham king?
We also give out our prestigious awards as always. This isn't the definitive end of Cast of Thrones, but I don't know when we'll be back. We just have to wait for that next book…if it ever happens.
Thanks for all the donkey rides.

We're back again to dive deep into the series finale of Game of Thrones. This week, we do our standard BS and go through the episode line by line to see where everyone ended up. Jon is back where he started, Sansa's a queen, and Danny is starting to regret her war tactics. Thank you so much to everyone that went on this journey with us. We hope you'll join us on Dear Internet for years to come.

We didn't want to wait on this one. Unfortunately with Michael, Tim, and Jennifer traveling we had to do a quick recording immediately following the episode. Don't fret though. We will discuss the episode in more depth later in the week. For now enjoy our first impressions.
Editors Note: There was some technical issues with the recording, so its definitely not as smooth as normal and the conversation may seem edited at points…it was.

What an episode. Cinematic-ally flawless! Everything else…well not so much. This seemed to be a turning point for hardcore fans of the show. People are not happy about Danny and her turn to the darkside. We get into it, we get into it hard. Buckle up people. This one's tough.

Dany is having the WORST day.

Well, that was a hell of a battle and a controversial episode. There was a lot of back and forth on social media about this episode. It's hard to wrap up such a long story in a single episode, and some people were left wanting more. Either way, we had a ton of fun discussing the episode. Arya is the true hero of westeros, Jon is a zero, Sam has a good cry, and Dany doesn't screw things up too bad.
Plus stay tuned after the music for some bonus…content?

Episode 2 is another “table setting” episode but it delivers some of the most heartfelt moments of the series. We've waiting so long for our favorite characters to get together, and this season is giving them a little bit of chill time before they all probably die next week. Who's to say? Brienne finally gets what she deserves, we learn Tormund's origin, and Davos is the soup man.
Plus as a special bonus, an unreleased clip from Dear Internet is after the end music.

The emotions swell in this episode as we get together at the start of the final season of Game of Thrones. This episode really does feel special, after waiting almost two years to get some closure. In this episode the gang is almost all back together, and we start to see the fallout of last season and prepare for the final battle. Samwell gets some bad news, Jon hurts his balls, and Bran is freaking everyone the F out.

We've almost done it again! The penultimate episode. In this weeks episode we get all the dirt on what happened between MIB and his daughter. We mainly focus on William and see how he got to where he is, and what happened to his wife. We also have a brief but mind blowing run in with Teddy and Dolores.
It's building to something big, and we can't wait for next week.

This weeks episode really takes a step back from the main story line and focuses on a character we've seen a lot in the background, but never gotten to know. This change of form pays of big time giving us one of the best most interesting episodes of the whole show. As Maeve is lying dying in bed we get the story of Akecheta and Khoa and find out how he became ghost nation. It's quite heart breaking seeing things unfold from his perspective. Unlike most of the hosts, he lives for a decade without dying and become very knowledgable in the world. Anyway, tune in for our discussion!

This weeks episode was pretty divisive amongst the internet and our cast of humble hosts. There was a lot of shooting and fighting and that rubbed some of us the wrong way. Either way, there was a lot to unpack in this episode as we get to the end game of season 2. Ford and Bernard are now one single hive mind controlling a robot body, Dolores reunites with papa, and Maeve and the MIB run into some complications.
Won't you join us on this Westworld journey?

Things are really picking up steam in this weeks episode! We get the biggest surprise reveal of the entire season and with it brings new questions and possibilities! Bernard is playing the latest in VR, MIB and daughter have a real heart to heart with bean man, and Dolores has a brand new Teddy.
The timeline may be a bit confusing, but we always have fun with it!

Sorry for the late episode! Someone forgot their audio. Anyway, this weeks episode takes us to Shogun world and we get to meet a bunch of familiar characters with new faces. The pieces are beginning to fall into place and how we get to robot soup is still quite the mystery.
Maeve is picking up some strays and on the other side of the park Dolores is teaching Teddy how to be a man. I personally think we needed a bit more time with the shoguns, but it still sets up a bunch of fun possibilities!

This episode was my personal favorite of the season so far. We delved deeper into the mystery of season 2 and we learn more about a certain character from last week. Also, an old favorite from season 1 is back and that's fresh as hell.
This week on the hosts, we have a groundhog's day situation in a fishbowl, we teach Michael DiMauro about masterbating, and we reunite with an old friend.

This weeks episode is back to form, bloody crazy form. We get at Raj world, a park set in 1920's -ish india. We learn how that tiger got drowned, Maeve meets a new friend, and Bernard is leaking again.
Overall this was a positive episode with some interesting looks into the wider park as a whole.

This weeks episode was a bit divisive amongst the group. We retread a lot of the same ground in this episode and got to see some fun flash backs. We got to see how Delos got started with west world and a little bit more of the man in blacks journey on this new game.
The episode was all over the place, but we managed to keep it on track and not talk about relationships with real dolls at all. Nope we sure didn't do that, because we are professionals.

It's been too long since we've had our good pal HBO back in our lives. The premier of Westworld came back with a bang. This season is not playing around and it gives us one hell of an opener. Bernard is the new Dolores and the man in black finally has the messed up life or death game he's been dreaming of.
Come along with us as we unpack all the craziness in store for us this season.

Sadly Game of Thrones did not qualify for this year's Emmy Awards, but that's ok! It just barely made it in time for the GOTYE's, the Game of Thrones Year Endie Awards! We break down all the best moments and characters from season 7! It was quite a year, and this is the perfect wrap up!

It's a sad day here in Westeros. We all have to pack up our armies for the season and put things on pause till next season when all our friends come back to school. Another season of Game of Thrones in the bag. We got a ton of reveals in this episode including, Jon's real name, who loves Brienne the most, Dany's favorite butt, and so much more. This was an incredibly fun season of Game of Thrones, and we can't wait to wrap this thing up next year! or 2019 :'(

The most divisive episode of Game of Thrones is here! We were iffy on how this little plan of Jon Snow's would pan out and I think we were mostly right about that. We also hoped that Arya would be smart enough to see past Littlefinger's ploys but sadly we were disappointed. All in all, a head scratcher of an episode, but it could all be a ruse. We'll find out for sure, next week on the finale!

This weeks episode brings us back from the chaos of dragon killing and gives book readers tons of winks and nods. We cannot begin to tell you how excited we are to confirm that the show runners love memes. Gendry is no longer rowing, Arya is getting hoodwinked by littlefinger, Dany is more like her father, and Jon has a stupid plan.
This season is almost over, and that makes us incredibly sad. Thanks for going on this journey with us.

Wow. Are you kidding me HBO? This episode was bananas. And I'm not talking Gwen Stefani Bananas, I mean legit crazy. This episode had so many fantasies of ours that we never thought we'd see. Arya was reunited with Sansa and Bran, Jon Snow is totally flirting hard with Danny, Davos has picked up Stannis's humor, and Danny gets sweet sweet revenge on the Lannisters. It's done, I don't think you can top this HBO, just quit now.

This weeks episode brought some divisive opinions among our esteemed cast of podcasters. We had an exciting episode with some controversial points from D and D. We get the reunion of some Stark children, the meeting of fire and ice, Cersei and Jamie are back together, and the Lannister plan is starting to make sense.
Overall another strong episode in this short season that only makes us wish we had more time to spend with our best friends in Westeros.

This weeks episode was a doozy, there are tons of moving pieces here and things are already starting to move fast. Danny lays out her plans with a female council, Harry meets up with Hot Pie, Theon and Yara have a bad time, and Jon Snow leaves the north after ruling for exactly one day.

Another year, another season of Game of Thrones. The wait this year was extra long, but it only made that opening scene extra sweet. The sweet sweet taste of Arbor Gold. Arbor Gold, the best wine for revenge. Each season of Game of Thrones opens by setting the scene for the new season and checks in on the states of our heroes. This year is no exception, but we got a huge dump of information and all indications are things will get crazy, fast.
We talk about montages, revenge, fire boys, and so much more in this episode. Thanks for listening!

We are back! In this episode we are talking about the latest spin off story from G.R.R.M The Rogue Prince. This short novella tells us what happened in the years leading up to the arguably more exciting The Princess and the Queen. It's finally time for Wine, Women & Westeros 6, Part 2: 2 Queen 2 Furious! You may have noticed that there was quite a break in between Part 1 and Part 2…you may have also noticed that there is occasionally a bit of an echo in the audio…oddly enough, these things are related! I like to carry on the fine tradition of screwing up our audio every time we record one of these dang episodes, just to keep you all on your toes. I hope the wait just makes the very relevant Shrek the Third references contained within even sweeter to your thirsty ears.
Also! This episode was recorded before the election…we were such sweet summer children then.

What do we have here?? By golly it's a brand new podcast. The Cast of Thrones crew has found a new obsession that we think you're going to love. The white raven has finally come and with it, the winds of winter have arrived. With this episode, HBO has ruined the SEO for the next book forever, but they've also managed one of the best episodes of their run.
We all predicted what Cersei's plan was, but the way the show handled it was a masters class in film making. Arya's triumphant return to Westeros had us out of our chairs screaming and Jon Snow finally has a mom…well Bran knows who is mom is.
This was an excellent capstone to an incredible season and closed the arcs we've been working on for so long. Thank you all for taking the ride with us. Keep riding that donkey, until next season.

I really want to call this the greatest episode in Game of Thrones history, and for some that is completely the case. Watching this episode in basically a theater with 60 of your best friends was an experience that can't be replicated.
We had so much pay off this week its crazy and out of character for Game of Thrones. Dany finally comes into her own and we have an amazing stand off with the slave masters. Jon and Sansa finally kill the crap out of Ramsey, whats not to love.
And then there is the production quality. And the cinematography, the best they've ever done. The battle is frantic and beautiful. I forgot I was watching TV. Yes, we nitpick some of the writing and poor decisions of the characters, but it was an amazing ride.

This is the true story, of four people, picked to live in a house, and record a podcast. This weeks episode finds our heroes co located and recording in the tower of joy. We had some incredible moments this week including full on axe murdering hound, Arya remembers her name, Cersei is screwed (not in a good way), and poor blackfish.
We only have two episodes left and its going to be very exciting.

This has to be one of the best episodes so far. It may not be the most exciting episode, but every segment this weeks was incredibly solid and they took the time to let the scenes breathe. This episode was the calm before the storm and the end is coming, and it will be glorious. Jamie is back on track with book Jamie, Cersei is getting all kinds of burns, Margery isn't just a puppet. John and Sansa are working together and little lady Mormont is adorable. And finally, Arya, she had a very short but exciting ark this week. Our prayers are with you fictional character.

Game of Thrones continues to delight in season 6's whirlwind of surprises. We got a lot of interesting developments this week including the reveal of a long awaited character with very frosty paws. We also get to see Sam man up a bit to his real jerk of a father. Also, it looks like Danny may finally be doing something with her plot line! She has all the pieces and place and her world and Westeros could collide in spectacular fashion.
And lets not forget Arya, she is leaving the faith and finding her roots again, and we couldn't be happier.

This episode really threw us all for a loop. We got a ton of little exposistion moving each character forward a tiny bit. And then we have Bran, Meera, and Hodor and boy howdy did you all have some opinions about that.
Some are calling this the first major spoiler for the book readers. Most people called the Jon thing from 3 years ago, but this was unexpected. We delve deep into that and everything else that happened in this episode!

HBO continues its breakneck speed through the world of Westeros as we move the overall story forward by leaps and bounds! This weeks episode had so much stuff setting up the future of Game of Thrones. Danny has a new legion of worshipers, Theon made it home, Sansa and Jon reunite, and Brienne has a new love interest!
There was so much to discuss and breakdown in this episode and I think we uncovered it all, so give it a listen.

Oh HBO, you are such a tease! This week, got mere feet away from the biggest mystery in all of Game of Thrones, only to be whisked away by Bran's tree daddy. That being said, we still had some fun moments this week. We got to see groggy Jon Snow take vegence on those that wronged him, Dany kept up her streak of not much going on, and we got to see what Sam and Gilly were up to. Spoiler, vomiting into buckets. Also what is any episode 3 without a good old blind fighting montage.
If it wasn't for Rickon's scene this would've been a great episode, RIP lil pup.

This was an episode of Game of Thrones alright. This is probably the most surprising episode of any season so far. We had so much movement in plot lines that have been dragging on for years now. We take a chance on Jon Snow, Ramsey congratulates his dad on making a better heir, Brienne tells Sansa all about Arya, and Tyrion makes a really dumb decision that works out ok.
I don't know about you all, but if the rest of the season is like this, I may need heart pills.

Season 6 is here and all our questions will be answered! Well, maybe not yet, but its a promising start and it sets up tons of great story lines for this season. This was a pretty standard episode 1 for Game of Thrones, as we get to check in on everyone to see how there summer was.
We check in on Dany, Arya, Sansa, and sleepy boy Jon Snow. We recorded this episode in Boston, in a secret bunker so our audio is a little echo-ie, but we have special surprise guest! Greg Tito from Wizards of the Coast stopped by to chat about the show, and it was a great time. Give it a listen!

We finally did it! Here it is, the final book club in our massive combo read. 24 episodes to summarize the biggest books in the series. Thank you so much for joining us. This week Jon has an accident, Barristan is movin on up, Daenerys realizes being born a queen doesn't mean you can make hats, and Kevan meets the mastermind behind everything.
Again, my audio (Nick) is messed up this week, we apologize for that. Stay tuned Monday for season 6!

The penultimate episode of our book club is here! Penultimate is a great word isn't it? Anyone first off, there were some audio issues with Nick's track. Just pointing that out and I apologize for that, but this is still a great episode.
We have Barry trying to capture Hizdar, things heat up for frog boy, Arya gets her first mask, Cersei goes for a stroll, and Tyrion signs away all his imaginary money. This has a been a great book club and we can't wait to do the next one..whenever Winds of Winter shows up.

We are so close to the end of the book! We are getting into some of the side characters now as we take a look at ole Barry Barristan again, see how little Quentyn is doing, check in on Jon Connington, hobble around with Asha, and catch up with ole dum dum Victarion. I'm so proud of yall for sticking with us as we finish off the book and roar into season 6. It's been a long fulfilling journey.

This week we catch up with Cersie in her gaol for the first time in A Dance with Dragons. This confused us for about 5 minutes, but I have cut that out… It gets a bit confusing when you read the books in chronological order. We also have a new perspective, old Barry Barristan is roaming around without Dany. Vicatrion is out to see and he's a big ole dummy. Tyrion starts to get his mojo back and Jon Snow has lots of ominous foreshadowing that I'm sure will amount to nothing!

We are getting to the good part of A Dance with Dragons! It's about damn time. So much good stuff happens on this weeks episode, including a return of the ice discussion. How can Danny eat them frozen treats in the middle of the damn dessert!
We also get a glimpse at Jon Snow's plans and Theon is roped into an Oceans 11 style heist for the ages. We are on the final stretch people, and season 6 can't come soon enough.

We did it! We've reached the end of A Feast for Crows and we are almost done with the combo read as a whole. We leave Samwell in a good place? Arya sees the light, see what I did there? See what I did there a second time!? Theon is trying to blend in with the ghosts of the dead and Tyrion finds his way back to his roots when he used to do tumbling as a kid. And who could forget Jaime, he's torn between helping his sister and being a good person.

As we are less than 50 days away from the new season we've taken a hard look at the schedule and decided to try our best to finish the book club before the next season begins. From that point on, its all new Game of Thrones goodness.
This week though, we take a journey down with sweet Robyn, deal with the aristocrats with Jon, and deal with some BS with Jaime. Also this week, Cersie's house of cards finally crumbles in the most spectacular way. And is this the end for Brienne!? You'll have to tune in to find out.

I'm just going to say it…this episode gets a bit out of hand. In what can only be described as a momentary lapse in sanity, this episode really goes places. Anyway…this week we check in at the wall, go on a short cruise with Tyrion, find out what really happened to Asha after her ambush, and get real with Dany's ummm passion side. Nope still sounds gross, I tried to save it.

This my friends, was a fun episode to make. We have the very last Bran chapter in existence and thats a bit sad, because its so early in the book, but that brings with it some amazing revelations. Theon has to pretend to be something he's not, he'll always be our Reek, because it rhymes with creek. Daenerys gets freak on, and we check in Jon. All in all, a great set of chapters.

Well, we got another extremely depressing episode of Game of Thrones and clearly winter has come. Stannis is not doing so well, trudging through the snow and needs to take some extreme measures, Danny learns how to train her dragon, and Arya finds a new target for her wrath. We can all agree that King's Landing could up its morality game. Luckily, the good word of the Seven is being spread around by a plucky new troop of fellas known at the Sparrows, and boy do they enjoy handing out the justice. I'm sad to report that this will be the final book club…for the next 10-12 weeks…until we return with the conclusion to this book club after the new season! This week, is it the end of Tyrion? Has Cersei made a poor choice for her council? What has Davos gotten himself into this time? Who's this mysterious Victarion? And finally, the kings moot with Aeron!?
If we had to plan to end the book club on a set of chapters, these would be a pretty good choice. Enjoy!

Winterfellas, do we have an exciting announcement for you. We are finally offering up the chance for you to support us through Patreon! You may be asking yourself, “Nick, this sounds like a terrible idea. You chucklef***s don't need my hard earned dragons.” First off, watch your language this is a family oriented site, second off, we are offering new and exclusive gifts for your support.
Believe it or not, Cast of Thrones is a lot of work to create. Not only is it a big time commitment that weighs on our families, there is a lot of behind the scenes prep work that goes into it. This Patreon is going to make that burden easier, while also giving us the chance to create more fun content.
Using Patreon, we'll be able to manage our donations and provide you with exclusive bonus content. We already have a couple of extremely awesome bonus episodes from our previous campaign for you, and for the first time ever, we are releasing our show notes. All the “in” jokes that don't make sense finally will!
There are several tiers for you to choose from. We understand that not everyone has the ability to donate $10 a month, but every little bit helps. And if you can't donate anything, nothing about the show will change. You'll still get the same great content you've grown to tolerate. In fact, we truly believe the show will be better because of the Patreon campaign.
We can't thank everyone enough for supporting the show. We started this 5 years ago and its spawned GeeklyInc, Drunks and Dragons and this wonderful community.
Keep riding that donkey…to our Patreon

In this episode we take a detour from A Dance with Dragons to focus on a Feast for Crows. Arguably the best book in the series according to the internets Tim Lanning. We talk roads, foods, politics, animal migration patterns in a world with sporadic seasons, and much much more that we actually talk about, because we don't actually talk about the things I wrote here.
Enjoy!

We also take a slight detour at the beginning as Tim gives us his initial impressions of the new companion book “A World of Ice and Fire.” Sit back, relax, and listen to this episode where no one was tired from being out on Halloween the night before.

We are back! Welcome back loyal Cast of Thrones fans. Thank you for sticking with us as we took some time off during the summer to recoup and spend some intimate alone time with the Ice and Fire books.
For this book club we are doing something fun. We are doing the mega Feast Dance combo read. Thats right, we are putting the chapters in chronological order and reading them together. Read one word from Feast, then the next from Dance. No, not really. If you're unfamiliar, well this episode explains what we are doing, but the gist is the books overlap in the timeline. The reading order we are using can be found on Boiled Leather.
It's an extremely interesting way to look at the books and brings new light to a lot of events. In this episode we cover ADWD Prologue and AFFC up to chapter 3.

Hello beautiful Winterboos! After much weeping and gnashing of teeth and technical difficulties, we finally come to you with our fifth installment of Wine, Women and Westeros, a special edition of Cast of Thrones where Jennifer and her ladybuds Annie and Betsy discuss gender issues in Game of Thrones! No, not even the loss of an entire episode of audio, which I can only assume was a direct assault from The Patriarchy itself, could keep us from delivering this podcast into your earholes. So kick back with your favorite wine (or beer??) and listen as Betsy uses fruity metaphors for genitals, Jennifer vibes with anime, and Annie learns a fresh new cuss.

Another year has gone by and you know what that means. The GOTYE's are back. Also known as the Game of Thrones Year Endie Awards, the GOTYE's celebrates all the great moments from the past season. Classic categories like best butt are back in contention as well as some awards just for fun, like best episode. We had so many awards to give away this year, we are splitting it into two parts. Enjoy part 1!

Another year, another season of Game of Thrones on the books. We take some time out of our busy schedules to discuss the finale of season 4. We get a lot of great scenes in this episode including the ultimate fan fic of Brienne vs The Hound, an epic battle beyond the wall, and a look at the tree people with Bran and co. This episode and season had some controversy with book readers, but we are sad to see you go. We'll miss you forever Game of Thrones, xoxo.

We locked the donkeys away for this episode as their services weren't required. This episode remained firmly planted at the wall as we get to witness a 4 year long build up to one of the biggest battles in Game of Thrones history. We discuss Samwell's new found confidence with the ladies, Ygritte's hesitation, and little cabbage boys ruining true love. There's only one episode left, so please join us in this penultimate discussion.

Plese excus any typos as i'm typin this with my eys closed because i can never open them agn after what we just witnessed.
In the most blatant display of, this is F***** HBO yet, we get the most brutal episode of Game of Thrones so far. From killing ladies of the night, to killing snakes in the streets it was an all out battle pushing the limits of what you can legally do on tv.
We do take some time away from the gore to discuss Danny's latest predicaments, and another sad case of missed connections with Arya. So buckle in Winterfellas, this gets rough.

Boy howdy do we have a good un for you today. This weeks episode includes some of the most memorable scenes from all of ice and fire. Dany uses her queenly powers to get what she wants, Tyrion has some powerful heart to hearts in the black cells, and Sansa finds out what happens when a body hits the ground from several hundred feet. This is the feel good episode of the summer, so kick back and enjoy our ramblings.

“I wish I was the monster you all think I am” is usually the line the Cast of Thrones crew uses when we are kicked out of an all you can eat Chinese buffet, but it is nice to see it to use in our favorite show. Things sure do get tense for ol' Tyrion but I have a feeling that he will be alright. That wit of his has saved him before!

In a very “this didn't happen in the books” episode of Game of Thrones some wonderful bits of information was shared about the world of Westeros. Well, namely the answer to “Who killed Jon Arryn?” was answered, but it is such a bombshell that it is sure to cause many a watcher to spit their Arbor Gold 3 feet out of their mouths. We of course get to delve into the fun added scene north of the Wall which is a special treat since it all new for the TV show. Nice change of pace, if I say so myself.

Hello Winterfellas! We are treated to some harsh realities on this week's episode of Game of Thrones. If no one thinks of the little babies in this Gods forsaken world, who will? Both Grey Worm and Missandei tell sad stories about being sad babies. Also, another sad baby gets taken and drafted into a very secretive order. Very exclusive. Very posh. I would say that they were cool. Another harsh reality we learned last night we actually decided to unlearn. So now I don't remember what it is due to selective memory and light surgery. We mention it on the podcast, I am told, so have no fear.

Hello there, Winterfellas, it's time to discuss Season 4, Episode 3, “Breaker of Chains”! The format of this week's episode will be a little different to accommodate an in-depth discussion of the controversial scene that nearly broke the internet (and also Jennifer's fingers from extreme tweet-yelling). After this very serious discussion, we get right back to our usual antics, i.e. talking about butts and prosthetic genitalia. As always, we include a spoiler section at the end after the music, so stick around if you want to hear a crackpot theory from our very own Michael DiMauro!

A fine hello to the wonderful people from Westeros all the way to Essos. Even Sothoryos must feel like the air is sweeter. I know that I feel like a great weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Yes, that major character death was a long time coming, but it is finally here! Rejoice my friends! Now there are only 87 horrible murderous characters that need to be murdered for Game of Thrones to be considered “A somewhat survivable country.” Yes, that is hope in the air that we are all tasting. Long live the King!

And we are back! The new season of Game of Thrones has begun and we get right back into our old groove of donkey jokes and wild tangents. If you've been away from the show during the off season, welcome back. In this fine episode we cover the intricacies of making valerian steel swords, what kind of prostitute Shae is, and trouble in incest paradise. If you're a fan of the spoilers, stick around at the end for some of our thoughts on whats to come on this season of Game of Thrones. If the first episode is any indication, its going to be a good one.

It is with heavy hearts and tear filled eyes that we now wrap our Clash of Kings book club. *turns on graduation by Vitamin C* It seems like just yesterday we were hanging out with Robb Stark laughing about how illegitimate Jon Snow was. But now we are through with the third book of the A Song of Ice and Fire series. Some say that this was the best book in the series to date. Well, I can definitely agree that it ends with a big bang. We learn so much about Westeros but also ourselves. What is Littlefinger's deal? Hate that guy.

Well, Winterfellas, it looks like this Storm of Swords train is slowing down. In our penultimate episode of the Storm of Swords book club, we get to spend some time with our favorite Crows, see a bar brawl, and get an inside look at the special dysfunctions of the Lannister family. Westeros is a wild world, baby. As we've mentioned before, these chapters are firmly in the “not yet featured on HBO” section of Storm of Swords, so if you want to avoid spoilers I would save this episode for after season 4 airs!

In an already action packed book, we have reached the number one chapter in our Storm of Swords book club. Most of our characters are in strange and dangerous places. Who knows what will happen to Jon or Tyrion? Will they finally get the big break they have been waiting for? If I know anything about G.R.R. Martin, I would say “yes!”

Hello, dear listeners! We interrupt your regularly scheduled Storm of Swords book club to bring you a discussion on George R.R. Martin's most recent Westeros-based novella, “The Princess and the Queen,” one of many excellent stories in the Dangerous Women anthology. Do you want to hear about Targaryens fighting on dragons for the right to the Iron Throne? Did I mention the dragons? For real, one of them is even named Cannibal. You know you want in on this dragon action.
As mentioned in the podcast, we have included some helpful links to help you untangle all those dang Targaryens and their dragons. Seriously, why are there so many Aegons?

It is hard to focus on all the other non-Red-Wedding things that happen in this somber episode of Cast of Thrones. Hey, we get it Jon Snow, you want some of that limelight for honoring your Knights Watch pals. But, quick question bub, did you get horrible murdered along with like…I don't know, 9 named characters? Granted you were shot by your love. That is a good story hook. Ok, you made it into the show text.

Things are getting so real in these dark chapters. We are about halfway through Storm of Swords, but heck, I feel like things are getting crazy. We of course start with a massive Dany chapter then end with Arya and the Hound crossing a river! Very exciting but we all know where this is headed. Makes me sad.

This is Cast of Thrones and you are listening to the podcast, Cast of Thrones! Now for this episode, which I am introing, we barrel ahead towards the eventual sad/ dark times. I wonder how you, the podcast listener and show watcher, are interpreting all these fun chapters knowing the outcome from the show. Or for those who have read the Storm of Swords in the past, I wonder if you are picking up on bad omens earlier. This are fun things to think about and I hope that you think them. We can all agree that it is nice that we don't have an arrow in our legs. Unless you are Jon Snow, in which case, I am sorry for the tasteless joke and would you like to guest on the show?

And so ends our journey through season 3 of Game of Thrones. Its been an exciting season with many laughs and tears. With this final episode, we wrap up all the loose ends of the characters and prime them for next season. We find out who's been torturing Theon, Bran's fate, and the betrayle of John Snow. We also get an obligitory look at Dany and her team of action heros and get to see a more awesome Arya.
Overall its a bittersweet goodbye, as we hate to see it end. As this season ends and the “Off season” starts up again our watch over the Game of Thronedom begins.

Happy Memorial Day, dear listeners! Since HBO decided to give Game of Thrones a little break this week, we will have a very special food-oriented episode of Cast of Thrones from the vaults! How is this season almost over already? It seems like just yesterday that our Dany was getting married to Drogo. Where does the time go? Now she has a former slave army that is feared all over the world and can match wits with ruthless mercenary captains. I am so proud.
Please, if you have time, hop on over to iTunes to leave us a review. Even better, when you are out and about with your pals talking about how awesome the most recent episode of Game of Thrones was go ahead and tell them about our little show. They will thank you and so will we!

After several amazing episodes this season episode 7 was a bit of a letdown. Not in the sense that it was a waste of an hour or what have you, dear listeners. Every season needs an episode that feels like its only job to prepare the audience for the finale, and The Bear and the Maiden Fair set us up nicely. Yes, positivity is needed after a meandering George R.R. Martin penned episode that focused on the many relationships of Westeros. Also, super awesome dragons.
Thank you for 1) all your fine reviews on iTunes. I don’t know the math/ science about how everything works on that site but reviews are super helpful. 2) Sending us a heap of emails and tweets. You are a real great community!

This week Game of Thrones decided to take a relaxing break from all the dragon city burning, hand chopping madness from the previous episodes. Instead they focused on the darker themes like “Your life will never get better, Sansa.” And “There are no happy endings, everyone.” While The Climb was one of the more difficult episodes to watch the Cast of Thrones gang tried to bring some levity and hopefully make a few smiles along the way.
Let me take a brief moment to thank all of you for reviewing us on iTunes and telling your friends about the show. We have a nice little community built up that makes doing the show much easier to record every week. It honestly feels like we are getting together to talk about Game of Thrones with our friends so that our other friends can listen and offer their own thoughts. So keep up the awesome job!

Well consider me kissed by fire because my face is all red from another great episode! Season 3 has really been a blast to watch it seems to found its pace with this week’s episode. Listen as we try to make sense of all the plots and intrigues found throughout King’s Landing and beyond. Stay tuned after the music break for our spoiler section including our crackpot theory of the week, which focuses on Patchface. We end this episode with a classy discussion about butts which we cut out from the beginning because it was really, really stupid.
Head on over to Castofthrones.com to join in the fun and discussion and maybe even make a new friend. Or leave a review over on the iTunes! Whatever you want is fine with us. We are supportive.

When I was a young man I often dreamed of revenge. After watching this weeks episode of Game of Thrones I now realize that I had no idea how to properly act on my vengeance. Granted, playground insults do not compare with becoming a eunuch or trying to take your baby dragon, but a part of me felt satisfied in their victories. Listen as we discuss all the ins and outs of this terrific episode!
If you get captured by a group of outlaw soldiers wouldn’t you want us to defend you? The best way to do that is to leave us a review on iTunes! In all seriousness, it helps out a whole lot and makes it easier for other fans to find us. We thank you already.

We are back in the saddle, ready to flee with a brand new episode to discuss. This week was of the best episodes of the show so far. We had tons of great comedic moments with Tyrion and the small council, Tyrion and little finger, and lets not forget: Tyrion and Pod! We also take time out of our busy schedules to learn you something about giving birth in the wild, buying soldiers, and when's the right time to stop pushing your luck.
Thank you so much for your continued support. We appreciate all the reviews, tweets, and recommendations to your friends, so keep them coming!

After another fantastic episode of Game of Thrones the gang gets back together to discuss the ins and outs and hopefully clarify a few things. We are happy to welcome the eclectic Thoros of Myr and the worlds greatest grandma, Lady Olenna aka the Queen of Thorns. We get all hopped on the creep vibes from Joffrey and wonder just what Tyrion was up to in this episode.
As always don’t be a Karstark, go ahead and spread your love for Cast of Thrones on the internet. We aren’t just asking to feel happy about ourselves, no we just want to make others happy with out podcasting words. Thanks!

Hello, you beautiful, smart, well-mannered, excellent Winterpeeps. It's been a long time, but now we're back. Oh, who is “we,” you ask? Why that would be Jennifer, Betsy and Annie with our 4th edition of Wine, Women and Westeros! For those of you who have not had the pleasure of listening to our podcastly bacchanal, WWW is a special, ladycentric offshoot of Cast of Thrones! It is a podcast in that we talk into microphones and put it into your earholes via internet, and it is a bacchanal in that we get wine drunk while doing so. It's a rip roaring all around good time, girlfriend!
Most importantly, did you know that this episode is brought to you by Taylor Swift, the manic pixie dream bard of our age? Taylor Swift has feelings about how women interact with each other, and gosh darnit, we do too! So if you'd like to know what we think about the friendships, enmities, and frenmities (TM) amongst the women of Game of Thrones, go ahead and give us a download!
As always, your feedback is important to us. We crave it like chicken nuggets after a night of too much wine. So head on over to iTunes and give us a review! *air kisses*

A dust settles on the battlefield. A group of haggard warriors lift off their headphones knowing that their victory over the Clash of Kings book club was complete. After weeks, and months of entrenching themselves within the meaty book they could finally breathe a sigh of relief. Jon was with the Wildings. Bran was alive and well, same with Tyrion. Things ended just as they were foretold.
You know that Game of Thrones will appear on TV soon right? All new episodes will start airing on HBO starting 3/31. Tell your friends and enemies about our podcast because I have a feeling that things may get a little confusing going forward.

This is the second to last episode of our critically acclaimed “Clash of Kings Book club – Presented by Cast of Thrones.” This means that we will be getting much more closure from a chapter of Game of Thrones than we are used to. We may end up with several more questions at the end of the day, but by golly we learn something about this wonderful world at every turn.

It hard to believe that we are so close to the end of A Clash of Kings but here were are in the midst of fire-murder. Oh boy, the pyrophiliacs out there are likely to split their gourds after listening to this truly special episode of Cast of Thrones. Stannis and Tyrion clash on the Blackwater for the battle to see who will finally control King’s Landing. Davos is our firsthand account of the hellish seascape that greets both the attackers and defenders of this historic battle. Plus Sansa kisses a sword in what was voted “worst chapter if the book.”
We love the reviews and tweets you send our way almost as much as the Hound hates fire. So help keep our un-scarred faces a-smiling by connecting with us however your heart desires on the social media sphere. I know you will love it.

As you feel the ice dig into your palms you wonder “There has to be a better way to be transported to the world of Game of Thrones!” A rude hawk circles your head turning your bowls to icy jelly. As the beast swoops in low you notice he is wearing Beats by Dre and listening to a podcast loudly. You curse your un-taloned feet and shake your fists up to heaven. As you fall you realize it was just a dream and that your dream came true because another thrilling episode of Cast of Thrones is now on your very own podcast library. Plus you are alive.

Hello and welcome to Cast of Thrones! We sincerely hope that our new schedule is more to your liking. This week we cover some of the best chapters in A Clash of Kings. If you have read the books we go through a bit of spoilery fun (at the very end after the song break) with Dany’s house of the undying vision. Also, we accidentally watched Bears playing ice hockey and were never the same again.

We are back winterfellas, with another rousing installement of our Clash of Kings book club. The response last week from the new format was great so we are continuing on. We are doing 5 chapters every two weeks, which should finish this up right before the new season. Plus, people loved the spoiler section at the end of the show. So stay tuned after the music if you're all caught up for some crazy spoiler talk.
On this weeks show some crazy crap happens in Kings Landing, we see Melisandre's lady parts, and we find out what happened to Varys' balls! It is a laugh riot this week, so gather the youngins, and enjoy the show!

Prepare yourself, dear listeners, for a slightly different approach to our Clash of Kings Book Club episodes. We felt like drilling down so deeply into each chapter worked really well for the more content-rich chapters, but not so much for the rest. So now we will approach each section as a buzzard approaches a dead raccoon – we will hover over the text and with our beaks and talons, ripping out the juicy morsels. And since the raccoon was outside in the hot sun we will now be touching on spoilers (but only in a specially designated spoiler zone)! So, we hope you enjoy this new format. It should make things both more interesting and easier to follow along with.

On this week’s Project Runway themed Clash of Kings book club the Cast of Thrones judges ask the tough questions. First up is Sansa stark wearing one of Joffrey’s favorite gowns. Wonderful material and the way it shines are stunning, but will it be enough, judges, to keep her from being beaten to death from by the King’s Guard? Tune in to find out! Next we have Renly Baratheon gearing up for a marvelous battle. His impressive frame is truly accentuated by his armor and stag horn theme. Will his gleaming armor be enough to banish the shadows?

Here's the episode you've all been waiting for, The Off Topic Special. We needed a break from all the killing and sadness happening in our ongoing book club, so we took this oppurtunity to do a show about whatever we wanted.
We answer your questions and to also talk about all the stuff going on in our lives that isn't Game of Thrones related. If you've been wondering what happens when 3/4's of the host are infatuated with Persona 4, or what we do in real life, you've come to the right place. So come on in and settle up for some nonsensical ramblings. Which I guess, makes it no different than any other episode.

On this week’s ultra-serious episode of Cast of Thrones we cover two depressing chapters in A Clash of Kings. The realm weeps for the tragedies inflicted upon its citizens. Arya Stark is in the bowels of darkness as she attempts to find her place within the blackened walls of Harrenhal. As a nobody that is mixed with high lords and knights, Arya is able to scurry about the castle like a mouse, collecting bits of information. But, is all of this information worth the mental scarring that it brings? Catelyn forsakes her bonds of motherhood and daughterhood to attempt to bring peace between the Baratheon brothers before more blood is shed in this war. Unfortunately, she is not successful and feels like a mother scolding troublesome toddlers. This foolishness will cost Westeros thousands of lives.

You find yourself in a misty wood. To your right is a group of young boys and girls playing with a wolf. To your left is a short man making the best of his situation. Straight ahead you see five smiling unblinking faces that want nothing more than to explain what is happening all around you. One lets you know that you are safe, another lets you know there is sex. Will you close your eyes and listen? I hope you do.

Hello dear listeners! Please gather around the warmth of your audio devices as we regale you with tales from both Westeros and Essos! Arya has managed to get herself stuck in a real pickle yet again. Will she be able to control her murder lust long enough to survive in Harrenhal? Will she find a better nickname than Weasel? Dany is having a great bit of luck herself when she finally arrives at Qarth. Being the mother of dragons appears to have its own set of perks, like a giant mansion and large numbers of foreigners almost worshiping you. Plus she finds out that King Robert Baratheon is dead and Westeros is in a giant civil war. This is all great news for our silver-haired, storm-born heroine!

We are back winterfellas! After the extensive #saveTimLanning campaign brought him back from the brink of southern living, we were able to record this excellent episode. In this adventure, our heroes discover that the secret to happiness was inside themselves the whole time. In the book however, Theon gets to second base (depending on the league you're playing in) and then gets the sickest of burns. Meanwhile in Kings Landing, Tyrion is up to his old tricks again. We see his master plan of screwing over Cersei come together in one intricately orchestrated swoop. Thank you for listening! And please remember to write a review so we can read it on the show!

Get out your duck butter and smatter it on your shoes because it is time for another jam packed episode of Cast of Thrones. We had the joy of book clubbing both of the Stark girls this week and things are still, somehow, getting worse. Maybe there is some hope to be had for Sansa, but Arya is really in it.

Things are really cooling off in our Cast of Thrones: A Clash of Kings Book Club as we visit everyone’s favorite bastard, Jon Snow! Even though things are cold at the Wall, we are warmed by tales of ancient Targaryens, so there is nothing to fear! The Clash of Kings Book Club continues and includes such fan favorites as Sansa and Tyrion. Ok, maybe not everyone loves Sansa, but we can all agree Tyrion is pretty great. If you are one of those folks who doesn’t much care for Sansa then her chapter may help swing you to her side. Things are complicated in Westeros, so I think you should show some heart, ok? Also, we recorded this when Shark Week was all the rage and released it after Shark Week FYI.

Everyone’s favorite time of year has finally arrived! No, not Shark Week, the Cast of Thrones Book Club for Clash of Kings! This year we will be taking you, the listener, even deeper inside George R. R. Martin’s story since we will be covering less chapters per week. This allows us to focus on everything that may or may not be important! This week we read the Prologue and Arya I. We had a blast and I know you will too when you join the Cast of Thrones Book club!
Thank you for sending us your kindness beams in the form of iTunes reviews! We are not too sure how all the science works, but we are pretty sure more reviews for our humble podcasts is a good thing. Also, become our best friend on twitter by following @castofthrones. It is a great time to be alive.

When your fiction is as deep as Ryan Gosling’s eyes, there are bound to be crazy theories floating around the web about it. Game of Thrones has had plenty of time to cultivate dozens of wild and improbable fan theories over the years and we decided to talk about a few of them on this week’s Cast of Thrones. Put on your tinfoil hats and strap yourself in as we discuss Jon Snow’s parents, secret Targaryens and whether or not everything is controlled by a group of Mermaids.
Have you gotten a chance to re-listen to some of our interviews with the cast of Game of Thrones? You should do that; they were a blast to record. Thanks again for allowing us to pipe heaping helpings of podcast into your ears. We would not be able to convince ourselves to keep recording without your generous love. Please continue to leave iTunes reviews and if you feel up to it let a friend or two know about us.

Don your battle corsets and prepare for our third installment of Wine, Women and Westeros, the show where Jennifer, Annie, and Betsy drink too much wine and analyze Game of Thrones grad school style. In this episode, we talk about the people and issues from Season 2 that were not recorded in the last WWW's recording snafu. We've got your Melisandre, your Margaery, and your amputation-loving Talisa. We also have a long, actually serious discussion about rape and how much it sucks to be a lady in Westeros. So….maybe you should wine it up before listening, too?
As always, thanks for listening and chatting with us via interwebs about Game of Thrones! If you have any additional thoughts on our episode, send us a shoutout on twitter @castofthrones. If you love us like Cersei loves wine, write a review on iTunes!

On this week’s episode of Cast of Thrones we discuss the most recent casting announcements hot off the Comicon presses. Listen as we decide which characters are still cool and why it is weird that they skipped highlighting some of the most important people from the books. If your heart is also full of venom over the lack Butterbumps and Patchface, then this episode is for you! Or if you just love geeking out about anything and everything Game of Thrones related.
Keep the great iTunes reviews coming! They have been like warm cuddles on a rainy day to our hearts. Also, follow us on Twitter! We are @castofthrones. It is so easy.

Hello, brave travelers! If you have reached this peak it means only one thing–you are a die-hard fan of Game of Thrones. If you have read all five published A Song of Ice and Fire novels then you have READ EVERYTHING! If you only watch the TV show you are a crazy person that needs their fill of knights and battles for the Iron Throne. We are so happy that you are here as we take this final journey to discuss The Mystery Knight! Dunk and Egg are up to their old tricks, so do yourself a favor and listen up.
The only thing keeping our realm safe from marauding Iron Born is your reviews on iTunes. For every review that is submitted we are able to fight off those kraken-sailed ships for another day. Each time you tell your friends and insurance provider about us we are given the chance to defend our precious harbors. Thank you for keeping us dry, warm and un-saltwifed!

Are you ready for the next wave of Dunk and Egg adventures! Since the last time we spoke with good ol' Dunk he had just won his trial by combat and everything was going fine! Now fast forward about a year and a half and we find our heroes serving for a landed knight named Ser Eustace Osgrey of Standfast. Westeros has suffered a terrible plague and is currently in a drought so tensions have been mounting between Ser Eustace and Lady Rohanne. It is sort of like Spike Lee's Do the Right Thing.
Thank you all for your continued support to us! Because of you we can still make these podcasts and not feel like we are screaming out of our bathroom windows facts about the Targaryens to the passing children. Your iTunes reviews help us survive in our podcaster only fight club, so please continue to help us or we will get punched to death by Marc Maron.

I can tell by that ravenous look in your eyes that you have sucked all the marrow out of George R. R. Martin’s Game of Thrones and you need a fix bad. Well, we have just the taste you are looking for! Did you know ol’ R. R. wrote a series of short stories about a hedge knight named Dunk set one hundred years before Game of Thrones? He did and they are great! Pull up your favorite easy chair and listen as we have a book club about the very first one, The Hedge Knight.
Since the show is in-between seasons right now it is a perfect time to tell your friends about our podcast so that they can get even more awesome Game of Thrones content! Nothing passes that wait til winter like listening to Cast of Thrones. It is known.
Thank you again for all of the reviews, emails, tweets and just general awesomeness sent our way. Our robotic hearts run off of your love and you are keeping us alive day by day. We love you.

The hiatus between Seasons 2 and 3 of Game of Thrones is dark and full of tailor-made
Cast of Thrones episodes. This week we discuss Season 2 and we do not skimp on spoilers for the series. In the first part, Thrifty, Jennifer, Tim and Nick discuss how the “show version” could lead into Season 3 and we only include spoilers from books 1-3. In part 2 Nick signs off and we start talking about the entire series. Please do not listen if you have not read the books (also, go read the books)!
Thank you for downloading and continuing to leave us your wonderful reviews! Every morning at the Cast of Thrones Castle we all read the new reviews while we sip on our coffee. We don’t even put sugar in it since you all are so sweet. True story.

Hello, humans of all genderal and sexual persuasions, and welcome once again to Wine, Women and Westeros! Just like last year's episode, Wine, Women and Westeros is a very special lady podcast that focuses on the women of the Game of Thrones universe. In part one of this season's WWW, Jennifer and her friends Annie and Betsy drink wine and discuss the “queens” of A Clash of Kings. If you notice any strange reference to subjects we “already talked about,” but never actually mentioned, that may be due to a recording snafu in the first half of the ladycast. But never fear, dear listeners, the loss of our first hour of audio only means that we get to drink wine and talk Game of Thrones in another episode soon! So if there's a lady (or gentleman!) you want us to analyze Women's Studies style after consuming a large bottle of Rex Goliath, let us know in the comments!
As always, thank you for your comments, whether on the website, on iTunes, via email, or on Twitter. We love to hear from you!

We know what you are thinking, Season 2 is over and there is no Game of Thrones left to be had until next year. Well the cast of Cast of Thrones is here to tell you that you are dead wrong! Not only do we have the GOTYE (Game of Thrones Year Endie) Awards this week, but we have plans for every week of the off season!
Next week you can tune into a brand new Wine Women and Westeros, or even sit in on the recording on Tuesday, June 12 at 7:00 PM Eastern. Also coming in the off season will be the return of the book club. We will be covering Clash of Kings AND The Dunk and Egg trilogy (which is a Game of Thrones thing, we think).
Thank you again for your love and affection turned into tweets and iTunes reviews. It is literally the only thing that keeps us corporeal. Please keep them coming so that we don't wink out of existence!

With heavy hearts and hearty laughs we honored Game of Thrones’ season finale. Don’t be too sad, there will be much more Cast of Thrones to come during the hiatus. Never fear, loyal Winterfellas, between the seasons it is dark and full of terror but we are here to keep your path lit. Too many things happened in Valar Morghulis to mention here, but it succeeded as both an adaptation from the book and an engaging episode of television.
What’s that I see? A hoard of marauding undead soldiers? NO! It is the wonderful reviews you have heaped upon our undeserving heads. Thank you again for all of your kind words and well wishes. We create this show for you since it would be really weird if we just did it and never released it. But we would have quit a long time ago if not for you, our beautiful fans!

Gather around, all you half-men and half-women! We have a wonderful show for you this week on Cast of Thrones: The Game of Thrones podcast. What we lacked in donkeys we more than made up for in enthusiasm. The tensions that have been building up this season exploded into a bloody battle against the walls of King’s Landing. Fortunately, Tyrion has a few tricks up his sleeve to beat back that sinister Stannis. Cersei has a few tricks also, most of which involve getting wine drunk and scaring teenagers.
Your reviews keep pouring in and showering our parched hearts. We are so very thankful for all that you have done to keep the show raging on ahead. We have some really nifty things planned for the hiatus between season two and three, so stay tuned!

Hey all you crime stoppers, we have a murderer on the loose! Ser Jaime escaped from King Robb’s camp, some say with the help of Catelyn Stark and Brienne of Tarth! Jon Snow is going to need all our help escaping from the Lord of Bones beyond the wall, but maybe Cadet Crime Stoppers Grenn, Samwell, and Dolorous Edd’s secret package of dragon glass will help solve that mystery! Hark! More murder is afoot in Harrenhal, but it is the good type of murder after Arya gives her last name to Jaqen H’ghar, a girl used her noggin! Will that be enough to escape the treacherous black castle? Congratulations to Senior Detective Maester Luwin who solved the “why are that boy's burned legs so large?” mystery and found Bran and Rickon very much alive and unburnt! Dany still hasn’t found her dragons, despite all of the flyers she put up.
Your love is so wonderful, I think I may throw up! We thank you from the bottom of Mike Dao’s black heart for all of your wonderful reviews. It makes us so happy and keeps us from getting thrown into podcast jail. Want to keep sexy in the upcoming summer months? On a very special Mother’s Day episode of Game of Thrones we are shown many aspects of love. Since this is a dark world of death and pain, the love we see isn’t the type Hallmark wants us to buy into, no sir! Ygritte wants to show Jon Snow a very physical form of love that eventually gets Jon so sex-addled that he makes some mistakes. Arya’s love of mutton clouds her judgment to such an extent that Lord Tywin gets mighty suspicious. Cersei schools Sansa on why love is terrible just before she mentions to Tyrion that love made Joffrey evil. Dany loves her dragons so much that she may be walking right into a trap. Jamie Lannister loves making fun of both dead Ned and Brienne. Lastly, dear readers, Theon shows us what the love of power can bring – charred Stark Children. He is somehow even more terrible. I hate him so much.
I love you so much my Winterfellas! Thank you yet again for downloading, listening and spreading the good news that is the Cast of Thrones podcast. Without you we would be a bunch of crazy people on the street corner yelling about wildlings and dragons. That is a terrible thing to do.
Want to look even sexier? Then go ahead and treat yourself to a Cast of Thrones branded Game of Thrones shirt. Featuring the lovely and majestic Diredonkey. These shirts will make you the talk of the town/ coven. Find them at castofthrones.com/store.

Hello, and may the Seven watch over you! In this particularly brutal episode of Game of Thrones we learn a little bit about poor decision-making. Theon gets into a tight spot when he is forced to kick a man’s head off. Jon Snow also holds someone’s fate in his hands, but does not end up kicking anyone’s head off. Arya has to make a snap decision to choose her second of three deaths due to some poor decisions, and Joffrey pulls a “Joffrey,” inciting a riot in King’s Landing that goes horribly. Robb hasn’t made any bad decisions yet, but I got my eyes on him. Dany, on the other hand, chooses to rely on dreams as opposed to logic and finds her dragons stolen.
Your iTunes reviews, tweets and general awesome/ kind words are much appreciated in Castle Cast of Thrones. It can get cold but your reviews are as warm as a butt wiggle to our hearts. Hello monster hunters, we have a ghost on the loose in these here halls of Harrenhal! Heck, I even heard a rumor of a shadow baby down near Storm's End that dang near killed Renly Baratheon. Strange times indeed, what with Catelyn Stark and Brienne of Tarth joining forces and the Night’s Watch ranging beyond the wall hunting for wights. Phooey! Even King's Landing speaks of a demon monkey, but I bet that is just the fools talking about Tyrion Lannister and his magic fire, but you didn’t hear that from me! Qarth reports sightings of dragons, but you can’t trust no one from Essos. Besides, we have our own ghosts here in Harrenhal, what with the Tickler dying like he did. Life sure is peculiar as of late.
Thank you for your beautiful downloads and reviews! Every ounce of review we get wards off a demon monkey from our homes for an hour. Please help us protect our families by leaving a review on iTunes. Also, our shirts that are guaranteed to keep grumkins at bay are back in stock. In lady sizes even! So gird yourself with pure Winterfella pride and boldly go out into the night.

Don’t be shy, come on up to the Cast of Thrones podcast! No dragons required for admission to this fun house of hilarity and Game of Thrones based puns. Sit back and experience the sights and sounds of a battlefield after a Stark army has surprise attacked a Lannister Camp. To your left you will see an evil little man fight with an honorable little man in the bustling city of Kings Landing, no pictures please. Perhaps the beauty of Qarth or the melted spires of Harenhal are more your cup of tea, we have those in spades. But beware, the Cast of Thrones is dark and full of shadow baby terrors as we reach Renly’s Camp. You’ve been warned.
What do we expect as payment for this voyage through fantastic and mystical lands you ask? Simple, we only ask for a review on iTunes or a tweet on twitter. You won’t find a better bargain this side of the Shadow Lands beyond Asshai!

This week's episode of Game of Thrones veers further from the source material than ever before, and yet it is our favorite of the season. The celluloid version fills in many of the blanks that just weren't possible to see in the character view points of the paper version.
The Cast of Thrones hosts also veer far and wide from the source material, and common sense. They discuss what is really incest? How far did Theon go down Yara's pants? Does Brienne have a feminine walk and is she related to Hodor?
Thank you again for all your love and support!

Pyke is finally introduced and we discuss there strange ways. To top it off, we finally get to see the fan favorites Hot Pie and Jaqen H'ghar.

It is with the upmost excitement and glee that I welcome you back to Cast of Thrones: The Game of Thrones Podcast. We were never truly gone, but now that the show has started back up we will ride our flaming Diredonkeys into your ears doing what we do best – discussing this week's episode of Game of Thrones.
This was a wonderful whirlwind of a podcast. So much happened that I am not too sure where to begin. We got to check in with all of our pals to make sure everything was going A-O.K. Joffrey is still being a little stinker but fortunately Sansa has learned to deal with him. Tyrion has taken his rightful place as acting Hand of the King for his father, Tywin Lannister, but I am worried that Cersei will not be pleased. The Starks are up to their old hijinks what with the war happening and all. We also get to meet the most serious Baratheon ever to grace this good Westeros. Not to be outdone Dany tries to feed a dragon! It is so crazy.
Thank you all for listening and reviewing and telling your friends and getting those weird tattoos. We have some awesome things planned for this magical second season of Game of Thrones and I hope you stick around to experience them. You will be a better person if you do!

You can literally cut the anticipation for the upcoming season of Game of Thrones with Longclaw in this very special Season 2 Spoilercast. With only a scant number of days between us and the premiere we decided to use our rabid anticipation as fuel for a bonus episode. Be warned, we riddled this podcast with heavy spoilers for book two, Clash of Kings. If you have not read it please save yourself some anguish and DO NOT LISTEN.
We discuss what we are most excited about seeing this season, including new characters, locations and battles. It is mostly us nerding out about how awesome we think it will be, to be honest.
Think of this as a reward to those who demanded that we do more spoilercasts. If you want us to do more fun one off episodes show us some love in iTunes. We survive off of your beautiful reviews and we will die without them. Thanks again for listening!

It's another crazy week in Westeros! The Lannisters make their move inside King’s Landing while Arya and Sansa try to stay alive. Naturally, Arya kills a stable boy and Sansa runs crying to her family’s enemies. Even the wall has heated up, zombie heat that is! Winterfell doesn’t want to be left out of the party either so they decided to call their banners, and Tyrion decides to follow suit and recruit some savages. Dany almost gets killed by wine, WHICH IS CRAZY!
Our live brodcasts have been both a blast to record and a great way to meet new pals. If you haven’t popped on by tinychat.com/castofthrones at 8:00pm EST on Sundays, you are missing out on our heat. Please continue to review us on iTunes and tell you friends about us on Twitter. With season 2 just around the corner we want as many Winterfellas as we can get.

In this installment of the Game of Thrones Book Club , we take a good long look at Eddard as he blunders through 4 chapters. We also take a trip across the Narrow Sea and witness Dany eating her first horse heart, then we head up to the wall because Jon is being emo. In addition, we discuss whether or not being female is truly a birth defect and if they had contraceptive measures in the Dark Ages.
As always, we love you.
Thank you for listening,

In this very special episode of Cast of Thrones we discuss the importance of brotherly love. Dany and Visy have a slight altercation in which his love is called into question. Meanwhile, Robb and Bran have to rely on theirs to get out of a sticky situation! Thankfully Tyrion puts his new brotherly love to a test – to the death!
These book clubs have been a great time for everyone involved. All of the CoT hosts want to thank everyone who is showing up at tinychat.com/castofthrones to talk about the weekly reading. I think friends are being made, and, dare I say, brotherly love is being formed?
As always, continue to be awesome and review our podcast on iTunes, and follow us on Twitter and Facebook. It helps us when we go to our podcasting meetings. Those NPR guys really let us have it if we don’t have tons of new reviews…we should really tell an adult. Last week Ira Glass gave Tim a wedgie.

We are half way through Book 1 of A Song of Ice and Fire and things are beginning to heat up! This episode is long and there was a lot to cover. Sansa is being her usually proper self, we get to see Arya being a dirt boy, and of course Eddard continues to sleuth around with his old pal scooby.
Once again, thank you so much for listening and coming to the live shows. We really do appreciate it. We still need an outro line, so if you have a good one, hit us up at info at castofthrones.com.

Things are really heating up in A Game of Thrones! Arya is learning how to dance, Dany is learning how to love and Ned is learning that life in King’s Landing can be tough. On the bright side Jon makes a new friend and Catelyn takes a bold move forward with her life. We also get to read about everyone's favorite character, Syrio Forel, who water dances into our hearts.
Thank you for all of the kind and wonderful feedback. I think we have steadily improved the show to a point where we are proud of it. Not “tell you parents about it” proud, but we are working on it. You know you want to pre-order one of our wonderful t-shirts. Welcome to the inaugural episode of Wine, Women, and Westeros, an offshoot of the regular Cast of Thrones podcast! In this very special, lady-centric episode, I and my friends Betsy and Annie discuss both the badass women of the ASOIAF universe and our experiences as female fantasy fans over a rather large bottle of wine.
Though I totally love book-clubbing and episode-analyzing with the guys, I must admit that this lady-cast was loads of fun. We talked Arya's tomboyishness. We talked Cersei's Mean Girl bitchiness. We talked how Sansa manages to be the worst despite following all the rules. It was like all my grad-school and Game of Thrones fangirl fantasies converged into an hour of perfection. That is, until Tim Lanning shows up and throws off our collective groove. Oh well, nothing gold can stay, right?
Since this is our first woman-centric episode, we want to know what you think! Are there any topics that you'd like to hear us talk about? What wine should we try next? Is Cersei Lannister the Regina George of Westeros? Leave us some iTunes reviews, or get at us on Twitter! Thanks as always for your fabulousness.

On this week’s Cast of Thrones our hosts found themselves asking “what if.” What if Sansa wasn’t so dumb? What if Arya murdered everyone? What if Varys was actually a spider? What if you pooped off of The Wall? Ultimately we offer up no more answers than we had when we began, but we had fun just the same.
Thank you for joining us live for our Book Club recordings. Everyone involved is having tons of fun it seems. We are back on our normal schedule of recording live on Sunday nights at 8:00 est. We hope you will join us over at tinychat.com/castofthrones.
It is no big secret that we have just released our very first T-Shirt! It is so awesome. Head on over to castofthrones.com/store to pre-order before our supplies run out. Thanks for all the reviews and re-tweets and so forth, it has made us feel ever so special. Keep up the great work, Winterfellas!

We like to think that this is one of our finer episodes of Cast of Thrones since we have the wonderful Finn Jones gracing us with his presence. Ser Loras, the Knight of Flowers himself, took a break from his busy jousting schedule and gaming of thrones to chat with us about life on the set, Season Two and how he would defend himself from the eventual Zombie apocalypse.
Usually having a big star on the show would be good enough, but not this week! We are happy to announce the release of our very first T-Shirt for Cast of Thrones. It features our sigil, the Dire-Donkey, on either Stark Grey or Lannister Red. Go to castofthrones.com/store to pre-order and show your Winterfella colors.
Since this is an ultra/double special episode we would really appreciate your help spreading the good news. The numerous reviews you have written have made us cry from joy, and the only way we can feel again is through more reviews. We are review junkies. And hey, you could win the audio version of A Dance with Dragons signed by George R.R. Martin!

Join us as we dig in and digest chapters Bran II – Catelyn III this week. Things are really heating up on the pages of Westeros y’all! Bran takes a spill, Dany gets hitched, Catelyn does nothing for a while and Tyrion and Jon become best buds. We had an enlightening conversation (live broadcasted on tinychat.com/castofthrones) about the extent of Khal Drogo’s bells and just how did Catelyn go to the bathroom while she was mourning Bran?
Our Winterfella army is doing such a great job! Your love and support makes us feel warm in these tough times. You can join us live for our book clubs every week, interact with us on Twitter and Facebook, or even write us a fun email! But, we have to have your reviews since one of the hosts (we won’t say who) borrowed a lot of reviews from a mobster and has to pay him back with interest!
Don’t read this part if you do not like awesome, free things – we are giving away a signed copy of the audio version of “A Dance with Dragons.” That is worth…well, he have no idea, but at least $1399*. George R.R. Martin himself signed the dang thing! To enter, review our podcast and post your review into the contest post on Castofthrones.com. If you reviewed us a while ago, just post your old review. IT IS SO SIMPLE!!!!

We are joined once again by the lovely, talented, and all around swell guy Kristian Nairn on this bonus episode of Cast of Thrones. As you no doubt know, Kristian plays the cuddly Hodor in Game of Thrones (the TV show, books don’t have actors…smh.) We sat around the virtual pub and chatted about a wide array of topics such as life on set, Season 2, and dubstep.
Thank you for downloading, listening, and reviewing our humble podcast. It is listeners like you that allow us the clout to get interviews with tremendous people like Kristian. Keep up the great work with the reviews and spreading the good news of Cast of Thrones.

or: Cast of Thrones Book club Episode 1: The Beginagaining
We are delighted to introduce our very first episode of the Cast of Thrones Book club. Each week we will go through about eighty pages of Game of Thrones and provide amazing insights as well as a few jokes. This week we read from the Prologue and finished with Arya’s first chapter. It was a great time!
We also will be broadcasting each of these episodes live! That means you can affect what we are talking about on the fly. No more yelling at your iPod or computer to tell us we are wrong like a sucker. We are planning on recoding at 8:00 EST every Sunday. Pay close attention to our twitter feed for details.
Lastly, as always we live and die for your reviews on iTunes. We have to have them to live. We want them so bad that we are willing to give away a signed copy of The Game of Thrones Audio Book. (click here for details) Thanks for listening and being great fans! We have tons of neat stuff in planned for the future.
Kisses and Hugs!

Hello once again from the Frozen North! Your brave and true of heart hosts decided to meet once again to cast our pods. It was a wonderful episode that quickly became extremely dirty. Oh yes, lines were crossed and we soon realized that we would never be the same again. So pick up your trusty pen and paper and follow along with us as we play: Marry, Fuck, Kill.
The original reason we decided to record was to talk about the Game of Thrones Season 2 Trailers, but we had much more fun playing a game middle schoolers play on road trips. It was very funny and informative. We still found time to talk about the awesome trailers released over the past few months or so.
As always, you guys have been awesome during the show’s hiatus! Because of you we are still being downloaded and reviewed on iTunes. Please continue to spread our message of friendliness and joy to everyone you know. You are beautiful.

Hello there wonderful Winterfellas! Once again we have come together and recorded our voices for your eager ears. Tonight’s prime topic: How do you fill the Game of Thrones shaped hole in your heart? Yes, we realized nothing could satisfy us the same way. Yes, rereading/ watching Game of Thrones is most likely the best way to fill that void. And Yes, Dao almost died.
So settle into your easiest chair and pour your favorite brandy (maybe even bake up some fresh lamprey pie!) and get ready to laugh with and at us. Maybe yell out your favorite TV shows and books so that it seems like you are right there with us.

Step 3: you will see a search box on the right, type in “game of thrones”
Step 4: the first result will be A Game of Thrones: A Song of Ice and Fire, Book I click the box next to it that says “Learn how to get this FREE”

Alternative Title: Cast of Thrones Bonus episode: Congrats to Peter Dinklage, Warning This Episode Doesn’t Talk About the Emmys.
Sometimes life in Westeros can be so gosh darn confusing. That is why we are here for you dear listener. Your loyal and scholarly hosts of Cast of Thrones dug through the depths of human kind’s Game of Thrones quandries to shed some light on this dark and confusing world.
One can practically hear the masses ask aloud, almost pleadingly, “Did that horse actually die?” We are here for you. I understand that sleep can be illusive for those wondering “Where can I find good Tyrion Lannister Fanfiction”. We are here specifically for you.
Winterfellas, can you feel Winter coming? I know I can! Thank you for listening to these fun Bonus Episodes, we have a blast recording them (although we cannot wait till Season 2!) Thanks for telling everyone about the show and keep up the great work with the reviews. Be sure to listen to this episode since we announce 1 lucky contest winner. We love you!

Well here we are again my friends. Let us gather around the old radio with grandma and uncle Bruce for some high quality Cast of Thrones entertainment. Yep, this is some real “Leave it to Beaver” sh*t.
In this FINAL “A Dance with Dragons” review episode we discuss “A Dance with Dragons” with great zeal and aplomb. I just know you will like it, unless you haven’t read the book yet. We can’t really discuss whom we talked about since it would be a spoiler to mention that they are alive, but there were direwolves! I am pretty sure that’s not a spoiler…
As always the first section of this episode is completely spoiler free! We decided to play it loose, so get all up in a front row seat to what it is like to “hang wit’” us. Mike Dao was naked!
Please continue to spread the good news about Cast of Thrones. I feel like we are keeping steam even though there is no show right now. Five star ratings and new subscribers is what we have always wanted! We just love you so much. Thanks!

Welcome to part 2 of our lengthy, yet super entertaining, discussion of “A Dance with Dragons.” I am pretty sure none of us cried this episode, but it was close. If you haven’t read the books be sure to listen to the first “non-spoiler” section where we grill Nick and Mike about facts from the series! I think at least three of us enjoyed that section (we are trying to be nicer to them, but it is just so hard!)
If you have any friends that are into the book series be sure to let them know that your Cast of Thrones cast wants to fill their ears with knowledge and Game of Thrones based humor! We really get into the story and talk about chopping “things” off. We even mention some things we didn’t like about the book, but mostly just excitedly talked about things being either 1) Salty 2) Dusky.
We will have one more “A Dance with Dragons” episode later this month, but have no fear! There will be plenty of non-spoiler bits and we will start doing podcasts that everyone can enjoy. Thanks for being the greatest fans this side of Astapor!

That's right kids, the gang is back for their third special! This time around we are going against our normal rules and going all out spoilersville for George “Jar Jar” Martin's latest book A Dance With Dragons.
Don't worry non-readers! The first 20 minutes of the podcast is completely spoiler-free and contains maybe the best “stump Mike Dao” segment we've ever done. We let you know way ahead of time when the spoilers will start, so you can listen without fear.
If you are going to listen to the spoiler section, just make sure you have read all of Book 5. You have been warned!

After a short, but painful break the Cast has gotten back together to discuss the season as a whole. This a much more “free-form” episode since the season was way long, seriously, at least 10 episodes. We discussed the characters that are near and dear to our hearts, seeing if maybe they have changed as much as the show has changed us. There were a few tears, zero laughs and more inappropriate google-ing than you can shake a dire-donkey at.
We are going to try and keep the Cast of Thrones fever raging hot during Game of Thrones down time. Let us know what you would like to hear in the coming months so that we can fill that Tyrion shaped hole in your heart.
Keep on telling all of your friends and fantasy football/ baseball members about the show, every little shout out helps. We love you like Joffrey hates everything. You are our Winterfellas!

Well, it sure was a really fun, strange journey everyone. With some ups and some donkeys, we really had a blast, y’all. I think we can all agree that this will be a finale to remember. Maybe it was the dragons. Maybe it was the continued incest. We may never know what truly made episode 10 of Game of Thrones so great. Fire and Blood will run through our hearts until we find out WTF dragons.
Please, let us take a few moments to thank all of our wonderful, kind and attractive fans. You helped all of us keep our honor, even when we wanted to run away and join a war started by our brother, even though we were bastards. That is exactly what you did for and to us. Thank you.

Absolutely nothing bad happened in this episode of Game of Thrones. Right? I am just kidding, that was way terrible right? Ep. 9 was just full of painful things happening to both our heros AND to horses! At least there was a few marriages promised and Tyrion got a new drinking buddy.
Hey good news everyone! We had an unplanned but extremely wanted guest! Miltos Yerolemou stopped on by to chat with us! This wasn’t an interview y’all, he just talked about the episode with us like a bro!
We apologize if there is any sound issues in this episode of Cast of Thrones. We tried a recording it while broadcasting live on tinychat.com. I think everyone had a blast, except for Thrifty since he edited it. But we love him.

Gather around everyone, we have some bad news. On a very special episode of Game of Thrones, things get…complicated. Remember all those characters that you loved? Well…some are dead, others are in jail and most are in some sort of horrible danger. On the bright side Tyrion met some nice new friends. Also, this was an awesome episode, one of the Cast’s most favorite episodes.
Besides all the hot Game of Thrones talk and Donkey based puns, we also
announced our contest winner – it may have been you! Just listen to

Welcome to the most bro’d out episode of Cast of Thrones! This week we talk all about what matters to you: chillin' with your bros and drinkin' fine lite beers. Nothing nerdy here!!! Episode 7 of Game of Thrones rules so hard because it has: Poison, bros broin’ out, girls kissin’, boar gouging, wolves carrying severed hands and betrayal. No spoiler here, things get pretty tense.
Stump the listeners: Who has the best darn listeners in the whole world? Cast of Thrones does! You guys are rocking it so hard right now. I feel like Daenerys must feel about her litter Rhaego in her tum-tum.

Welcome to the Cast of Thrones! This is your Game of Thrones Podcast. We are essentially the keyboard cat, or maybe the booger eating monkey, of the Game of Thrones universe. This is our re-recording of the famous “Episode 1 debacle” It was a bit of a mess, so here were are to clean it up!
Listen in for our break down of the very first episode of Game of Thrones. We try and make some sense of all of the names and places and past events being thrown around, but honestly, it was a bit tough. We still had a blast recording in front of a live internet audience and making new friends. Please, sit and stay awhile, the water is scoldingly hot, but I doubt you would mind.

As promised, the Eddard/Ned explanation from a smart listener “r d”:
My understanding of the Ned/Eddard connection is the following:
We know in English when to use “a” vs. “an”: A book. An apple.
I believe that at one point, “my” and “mine” had a similar usage: My father. My mother. Mine uncle. Mine aunt. Mine host. (Lots of references in Shakespeare and Chaucer.)
Somehow, “mine” was replaced by “my”, with some words retaining the “n” sound or dropping it, depending on whether you misunderstood where the phrase was divided, tv show online broadcast
So, “nuncle” was also said. And we know that Asha Greyjoy and Jaime used “nuncle” in the series to refer to their favorite uncles.
For terms of endearment, Mine Edward and Mine Ann became “Ned” and “Nan”, respectively.
