Notes:- The old nature, which despises Jesus, remains in us- In Roman days, a man convicted of murder was made to carry carcass of victim on his back- Despair of the old nature is a good sign that God is at work in you- He gives you the will and power ; He works in everyone differently- God works by paradox; success will come by failure- Sinfulness produces thankfulness- The closer we draw to God, the worse we feel about ourselves- God brings out the flesh to be exposed and dealt with- You cannot control feelings you have, but sometimes your response- The greatest ministry is carried out by people who feel unworthy- What you going through is not about now, but ages to come
