- A pastor can only do what he’s called if his wife is called as well- Paul sent Timothy to encourage because he could not go himself- Trials are a part of the faith; troubles strengthen faith- Paul feared that the people would fail; struggled with doubt- Everyone’s faith has a gap (i.e. divine healing).- We don’t trust God to carry our burdens, take care of  our problems- The more we interact with believers and hear the Word, the more the gaps are filled- People feel obligated to explain God; we can’t understand God- Don’t try to explain but proclaim Him- Trials weed out hypocrites, qualify us to help others, produce patience, make you live better and tell people about Jesus- A trial is not something happening to you but God working in you- Daniel and the fiery furnace... went in bound up, walked around inside liberated.  Start talking to Jesus and fire loses its heat- When you listen to Jesus, it’s not a trial anymore but a triumph- God is with us in the midst of trial; do not sorrow...    Suffering
