2012-09-30-0830 Pastor Loran Livingston is the speaker this morning September 30th 2012 in the 8:30 service.Scripture: II Chronicles 18:1-22; II Timothy 3:13; 4:1-3; John 6:66; Matthew 11:7-17; Luke 16:16Topic: False TeachingNotes- God is involved in the daily goings on in the world... as in Job, Daniel- Jehoshaphat aligned himself with Ahab through marriage; a believer should never partner with an unbeliever, in business, marriage...- Jehoshaphat consulted 400 prophets who lied, told him what he wanted to hear, but Micaiah prophesied the truth- There are lying spirits and deceptive leaders today; we’re in warfare... there are too many scripturally illiterate, prayerless people- People want to be entertained, blessed, encouraged and told to prosper while living in sin; we need a revival in our souls- Lying spirits remove commitment, labor, discipline, holiness... from the gospel- You cannot earn holiness, but when God give it to you He expects you to live holy- Evil men and imposters will never tell you the requirements- People want to be affirmed... no brokenness, repentance, hunger or thirst- Don’t call yourself a minister if you don’t preach the word... convince, rebuke, exhort- There is violence in the spirit world around us... the devil has targeted our families- People complaining about choir practice during fellowship time, food on wed. night- The sheep will pick their own shepherd to tell them what they want to hear (story of scratching the dog’s ears)
