2013-08-03-1800 Pastor Evan Albertyn is the speaker this evening August 3rd, 2013 in the 6:00 service.Scripture: Matthews 8:10; Matthews 14:22-31Topic: FaithNotes:- What is your confidence in – Faith is the Christian’s word for confidence.- Don’t put your confidence in yourself but in God.- Two times in scripture that Jesus was amazed. Both times have something to do with faith or the lack of faith.- In Matthews 5:8-10 Jesus was amazed that a man had more than enough faith to be heal. Jesus said that he had not seen a faith like this in all of Israel.- Jesus was also amazed by unbelief. His family and friends didn’t believe that Jesus could heal.- Matthews 14:25-31- The disciples were in a boat on the fiver. They saw a figure walking on the water. They were afraid, when Jesus told them it was He; Peter wanted to walk on the water to Jesus.  Peter took his eyes off of Jesus, became afraid and had no confidence.- Jesus reached out to pick Peter up as he was sinking. Jesus says  ”Oh you have so little faith” Faith is not a feeling but confidence in something that is bigger than yourself.- Faith is something God has already done.- Success in the Christian life is when we grow in faith and not in our ability but what God has done in his ability and what He is able to do.- It’s not about you but is all about Him.
