Darryl "DMC" McDaniels is a founding member of the legendary hip hop group Run DMC. The group had massive success with songs like "It's Tricky" and their collaboration with Aerosmith on "Walk This Way." In 2009 they became just the second hip hop group inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In this episode we'll discuss Darryl’s inauspicious beginnings through the massive success of Run DMC, the shocking secret he learned as an adult, channeling his depression into writing and his new children's book, "Darryl’s Dream." I really enjoyed Darryland this episode!
