MOVIE REVIEW:
More often than not, when talking to other Christians who enjoy cinema they bring up Terrence Malick. In fact, when I visited Florida for a job opportunity, I had this exact thing happen to me. At the time, I hadn't seen a single Malick film, but I started to get some serious Malick FOMO when I saw The Tree of Life end up on a ton of "Best of the Decade" lists. Thankfully, I was near a theater showing A Hidden Life, the auteur's 10th film, and made it a priority to grab a ticket.
Considering the premise of the film - the persecution of a man of faith who resists swearing allegiance to Hitler - I considered it a fairly appropriate film to review this week, so here we are. Let's dive in, and let me tell you what I thought about A Hidden Life!
