Episode 9 - Abel on the Military Enlightenment

Dr. Jonathan Abel joins Dr. Bill Nance to discuss the Military Enlightenment, a relatively new field of historiography.  He details how early-modern militaries were the perfect organizations to implement Enlightenment-style reforms, discusses how those reforms were envisioned and practiced, and explains how that implementation proceeded.
