Director Michael Bilandic (Jobez World) joins Tom Tuna & B to discuss the unheralded work of absurdist provocateur filmmaker Christoph Schlingensief (1960-2010) and his relevence to the canon of liberated heretical consciousness. An overall artist who's work spanned film, performance, opera, and installation (and whose true liberal sensibilities drew disgust from everyone from Wim Wenders to conservatives to the left), we dive into someone who represented BIG T*ARD energy in it's maximum capacity.
Terror 2000, Trash Stars, Euphoria (with Tilda Swinton) German Chainsaw Massacre, dressing up like a Hasi and giving Germany over to Globalization at the Statue of Liberty. Mike also reminisces on his time in Austin TX in the late 90's heyday of slacker boho paradise, Dirty Nasty (Simon Rex) wiggaz, and his movie Happy Life.
"I don't mind tumbling down a hill and crashing into a tree as long as it's done in a state of Euphoria" - C. Schlingensief
