It’s officially episode 1 of the Ramadan Series! We hope you are all having a blessed month so far, whether you are spending with family, friends, or alone, may Allah grant you all a wonderful and reward filled month 🤍

This week, we spoke about the steep decline in energy since we’ve started fasting and how it’s impacted our ability to do the most this month. We want to always remind ourselves first and you that you don’t always have to compare yourselves to what you see online. Doing so can either encourage you to do more (which is great) but sometimes it can discourage you and make you feel like what you’re doing is never enough. As long as you have your sincere intentions, do what you can even if it’s something small and in sha Allaah your rewards will be multiplied for you during this blessed month. 

While we’re in the month of Ramadan, don’t forget to make du’ah for all the Muslims who are experiencing hardship around the world and ask Allah to free Palestine from the shackles of isnotreal. 

Make du’ah for yourselves and ask for all that you have desired, we ask Allah to accept your fasts, prayers and du’ahs.

This week, we spoke about the rise in getting a cat and filming yourself taking care of it. Do you guys agree that this is basically a thirst trap for Muslim men? We also spoke about an interesting video that went viral a few weeks ago where a brother so gracefully *🙄* explained his views on gender roles and whether it’s appropriate for men to be in the labour ward with his wife as she delivers. Not everyone needs to share their thoughts on a public platform where younger audiences can potentially be influenced. We recognize that we have a platform and are responsible for sharing thought invoking conversations and try our best to maintain our integrity, speak the truth when it comes to deen and remain respectful always. 

Apparently Canadians could be getting UBI to help with the insanely high cost of living…but we’ll see if that plan actually comes to life! And a special shoutout to Yemen & South Africa for standing up for humanity ❤️ may Allah grant justice to the oppressed.

We briefly address the comments on one of our clips we put out on IG re: the use of the term "female" when referring to women. Y'all got Amir so shook he had to ASK (which we love a respectful king lol) what the slang word is used for women that is similar to 'guys' for men. 

We also talked about how Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis were ride or dies for their friend Danny Masterson...until the internet called them out and they decided to put out an apology video - what would you do if your friend was about to be on trial for something horrible and you were asked to write a letter of support?

We also spoke about whether or not power/money corrupts people - the debate got interesting, took us back to high school English class haha.

Covering one's unlawful nakedness is an obligation for both women AND men. It is up to each individual to decide whether they will fulfill their obligations or not, however we not force the rules of the religion upon anyone. We later talked about how Adnan Syed is finally a free man (while he awaits the new trial date) and how horrible the (North) American justice system is.

We then shifted to a more positive topic and discussed the different aspects of our daily routines that spark joy in our days. Amir then discusses the water crisis happening in Jackson, Mississippi and related it to the mistreatment of the Aboriginals in Canada.
