A man on the run since 2006 has been landed a hefty jail term after he was discovered on an Encrochat investigation transporting drugs for underworld drug gangs including the notorious McCarthy mob in Limerick.
Anthony Terry escaped a jail term at Limerick Prison after claiming he was terrified by drugs mobs into moving narcotics because of threats to his family at the height of the Limerick feuds.
However UK police discovered him running a transport operation moving cocaine and cannabis across Europe and into Ireland from his midlands base after they hacked his phones and found his links to Thomas ‘Bomber’ Kavanagh.
