But when Gary was found dead secrets began to be revealed.

On Oct 30th, 2019, 26-year-old Kristen Trickle was preparing for the Halloween festivities. The next morning, Kristen's husband, Colby, woke up to a loud noise. He quickly realized that his wife was lying in bed dying from a gunshot wound. Colby called 911 to report that his wife had shot herself.

On May 2nd, 2001, 50-year-old wife and mother Leslie Preer didn't show up to work. She was found dead in her Chevy Chase, Maryland home. One October 21st, 2001, 25-year-old Christine Franke was found dead inside her apartment in Orlando, Florida. Both cases would go unsolved for decades.

In 2015, 28-year-old Heather Bogle was employed at the Whirlpool factory in Clyde, Ohio. After clocking out in the early morning hours of April 9th, 2015, Heather left the facility, but she never made it home that morning.

On February 2nd, 2014, Super Bowl Sunday, at 11:30 PM, 26-year-old Brenda Lazaro called 911 in Coppell, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. She told the 911 dispatcher that her boyfriend, Jonathan Crews, had shot himself.

On July 12th, 1988, in Philadelphia, 4-year-old Barbara Jean Horn went outside to play. She was trying to find some of her friends to play with, but no one was home. This seemingly normal day turned into a nightmare when she went missing.

In 1987, Jaye Potter Mintz was murdered inside her North Carolina home. Inside the home but left unharmed was her son who was about to turn two. The child saw at least some of the horrific acts and was able to tell the police that a mean man hurt his mommy.

Richard McCroskey was looking for people who accept him on the internet. He had been bullied in school over his red hair and weight. But online he became a different person, a much more confident person. And Richard thought he had found a girlfriend in 16-year-old Emma Niederbrock, four years his junior.

In December 2000, one of Japan's most infamous unsolved cases happened. Four members for the Miyazawa family were murdered inside their home. It was an especially brutal series of murders that occurred with other family members living on the other side of a shared duplex.

On June 25th, 2024, Raegan Anderson and Chandler Khubander disappeared from Hinesville, Georgia. The police put out a BOLO for the pair after family members and co-workers became worried. Raegan and Chandler were both 24-year-old firefighters who previously had a relationship that lasted seven years.

In 1973, 11-year-old Linda Ann O’Keefe was living in Corona Del Mar, California when she disappeared. Linda was attending summer school and walked home from school one day but never made it. Her body was found fairly quickly about ten miles from her home.

She was standing next to a van with a man in his 20s or 30s. Linda's case went cold and it took over 45 years and advances in DNA technology for the police to find her killer.

On the morning of October 18, 2019, 26-year-old Melissa Turner called 911 to report that her 25-year-old fiancé, 25-year-old Matthew Trussler, was unresponsive. What the police found was a scene of horror. Matthew was cold and covered in blood.

On April 26th, 1980, 14-year-old Laureen Ann Rahn of Manchester, NH, was an 8th grader on spring break. On that day, which was a Saturday, her mother Judith was leaving her home alone and would return later that night.

When she thought she heard her mom out in the hallway she hustled her male friend out the back. That was the last time anyone saw Laureen Rahn.

Jeffrey Lundgren was living in Missouri in the early 1980s. He had a wife and four children and was heavily involved in the RLDS church. However, he became disillusioned with the church because he didn't agree with what he saw as some of its progressive views.

However, he was able to attract followers who agreed with his preachings and were willing to help support him and his family. In 1984, Jeffrey told his followers that God had commanded them to move to Ohio. Jeffrey Lundgren held a lot of sway and power over his followers, and he ultimately used them for deadly purposes.

In Fall 2003, 19-year-old Lisa Gurrieri and 20-year-old Brandon Rumbaugh went on an overnight camping trip. The two college students had been dating for a year, and this quick trip was to mark their one-year anniversary. They never returned home and were later found murdered.

On November 8th, 2010, 60-year-old Huei Hann Pan woke up suddenly startled in the middle of the night in his bed with the barrel of a gun being pressed to his forehead. Intruders shot both Hann and his wife Bich. Their 24-year-old daughter Jennifer was tied up.

It was just after midnight 28 years ago, on May 10th, 1996, that police responded to the scene of the murder of Leon Laureles. Leon's co-workers got worried when he didn't show up for work. Police responded to a 911 call about a car on fire and discovered Leon's 1988 Ford Thunderbird engulfed in flames. His body was found not far from his car.

Dylan Rounds wanted to be a farmer. When he was 16 years old, his grandfather bought 643 acres of land in Utah with the understanding that Dyland would work it. He was dedicated and worked extremely hard. But at 19, Dylan vanished over Memorial Day weekend in 2022.

Ruby Franke began making videos on YouTube and, over time, created a pretty large following. The videos on her channel, named 8 Passengers, focused on her family of eight as they navigated through life. However, the audience began to see some disturbing signs in the Franke's parenting.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard's illnesses began when she was an infant. Her mother, DeeDee Blanchard, took her to the hospital often for a variety of symptoms. DeeDee told her daughter that she suffered from various diseases. All of this turned out to be a lie.

In 1977, at the age of 2, Nikole Betterson was involved in a car accident in Michigan with her mom and dad that killed her mom, Susan Klingel. Nikole's dad, Jarrett Betterson, showed up at Nikole's maternal grandparents just a few months later with another woman and claimed they were moving out west.

In 1983, Diane Downs shot her three children and blamed it on someone who wanted to steal her car. Diane had a superficial gunshot wound to her arm as she pulled her car into the ambulance bay of a hospital in Springfield, Oregon. She told hospital staff and later law enforcement that a shaggy-haired man had shot them while attempting to steal her car. One of Diane's daughters was pronounced dead at the hospital, while her other two children lived but suffered significant life-changing injuries.

In 2022, 17-year-old Riley Whitelaw was murdered by her co-worker, 28-year-old Joshua Johnson, in the breakroom of the Walgreens where they worked. On February 21st, 2001, 22-year-old Ashley Ellerin was stabbed to death in her Los Angeles home. The tabloids covered the murder because actor Ashton Kutcher was set to have a first date with Ashley that night. Lucy Letby is one of England's most notorious female killers. In 2015, infants began dying in the NICU at an alarming rate at the Countess of Chester Hospital in Chester, Chesire, England. It was like nothing the hospital had experienced before or since. Nurse Lucy Letby was making infants sick, and many of them died.

In 2016, eight members of the Rhoden family were murdered at multiple residences. The crime scenes were all discovered on the same day, April 22nd, 2016. These murders shocked the residents of Pike County, which is in a rural part of Ohio. H.H. Holmes is often referred to as America's first serial killer. He became fascinated as a child with death and later studied medicine in college. Holmes didn't make all of his money legally. He used arson to con insurance companies and cadavers to collect life insurance. It seems that he began killing mainly to cover up his crimes.

Toward the end, he wouldn't go to work for fear that she would leave him. After she did, he made a plan to get back at her. It culminated with Alissa spending 55 hours being held captive by Trevor after he was able to get his oldest child to help him. She had no idea what he was really planning to do.

In 2015, Tiffany Valiante died in what many consider to be a very mysterious way. Just after 11:00 PM, Tiffany was struck by a train and killed in Southern New Jersey. The authorities ruled it a suicide, but Tiffany's family does not believe that to be true.

In 1974, 14-year-old Margaret Fox disappeared in New Jersey. She was set to meet a man named John Marshall, who was looking for someone to watch his 5-year-old son. This man had responded to an ad that Margaret and her cousin Lynne had placed in the paper. Margaret made it to the bus stop where this man was supposed to pick her up, but she was never heard from or seen again.

11-year-old Gannon Stauch went missing in 2020 in Colorado. His stepmother, Leticia, was the last person known to have seen him, and as the community searched for Gannon, they also offered support to Leticia. But, she told a number of different stories to the authorities that made them suspicious of her.

In 1980, wife and mother Betty Gore was murdered in Texas. It was an especially brutal murder caused by many blows from an axe. Initially, police believed that it must have been a man who murdered Betty because of the vicious nature of the crime. But, the evidence started to point to a woman. The sensational nature of the case has led to numerous television series over the years.

It came out that Candy had visited Betty that day and that Candy had an affair with Betty's husband, Allan. The prosecution thought they had a pretty airtight case against Candy Montgomery. Candy admitted to killing Betty but said she did so in self-defense. It would be up to the jury to decide Candy's fate.

On September 10th, 1988, Cynthia and David Dowaliby woke up to find their daughter Jaclyn missing from the house. The local police, as well as the FBI, started an investigation. They originally thought that the Dowalibys might receive a ransom demand from a kidnapper. But, suspicion soon turned to David and Cynthia.

In March 2011, two women who worked at a Lululemon store were attacked, and one was killed. Police arrived to find 30-year-old Jayna Murray dead, with over 300 injuries, and 29-year-old Brittany Norwood wounded but still alive. Police found size 14 bloody shoe prints around the store, and the money was missing from the safe.

Brittany Norwood told the police that two men came into the store after hours and attacked her and Jayna. She gave them somewhat of a description, but it was tough because they were wearing all black and had their faces covered. But Brittany soon went from a sympathetic survivor to the prime suspect after the police found evidence and holes in her story.

Scott Peterson became one of the most despised criminals ever after being convicted of the murder of his wife and unborn child. Just before Christmas in 2002, 27-year-old Lacie Peterson, who was 33 weeks pregnant with a boy they planned to name Conner, vanished. Less than a month after she vanished, both Lacie's and Conner's bodies were found after they washed ashore. It didn't take long for police to suspect Scott Peterson.

But, even with his conviction, there are some who do not believe he did it, or at least do not believe that there was enough evidence to convict.

On February 20th, 1983, 51-year-old Helen Sebastian left her home in Racine, Wisconsin, and was never seen alive again. She told her mother that she was going to a friend's house to play cards. On May 9th, 2021, Mother’s Day, the Bailey family woke up to find their 13-year-old daughter Tristyn Bailey missing. It appeared as though she had not slept in her bed the night before. They quickly called the police, who began to search for Tristyn. A jogger happened upon her body near a retention pond in St. Johns, Florida, later that day.

Within three hours of the jogger finding Tristyn's body, they had a 14-year-old boy named Aiden Fucci and his parents in an interrogation room. On July 20th, 1971, the body of 24-year-old Rita Curran was found in the bedroom of her Burlington, Vermont, apartment. Her body was discovered by one of her roommates. Rita was a highly regarded teacher at Milton Elementary School, and her murder rocked the community. It caused residents to start locking their doors and to run out and buy extra security measures.

In fact, over 50 years passed before the authorities solved the mystery of Rita Curran's murder. It turned out that a cigarette found at the crime scene in 1971 and logged into evidence was the key. In 1946, an unidentified person dubbed "The Phantom of Texarkana" committed a series of murders and attacks. They began in Texarkana, Texas, and culminated in Texarkana, Arkansas. These murders terrified the area and caused residents to buy guns and begin locking their doors. Were all of these murders committed by the same person or were there multiple killers roaming the area?

In 1985, 8-year-old Nicole Morin mysteriously vanished from her apartment building in Toronto. She was set to meet a friend in the lobby to go to the pool but never made it. The friend talked to Nicole on the intercom system and waited for her to come down. After a period of time, she buzzed Nicole's apartment, asking her mother where she was.

In Mattoon, Illinois, in the mid-1940s, many people claimed they were made sick by a chemical pumped or sprayed into their homes as a gas. The gasser, or the person people imagined was the gasser, was given several monikers, including “the Mad Gasser of Mattoon” Or “The Phantom Anesthetist.”

No physical evidence of any gas was ever actually found, however, leading many to doubt the claims of all of these people who claimed to be victims. Interestingly, a similar series of events occurred about a decade earlier in Botetourt County, Virginia.

On July 26th, 1974, the body of a woman was found on Race Point Beach in Provincetown, Massachusetts. It was an extremely gruesome crime scene, and parts of the woman's body had been removed, possibly to prevent identification. This woman became known as The Lady of The Dunes as the authorities worked for years to try to identify her and solve her murder.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the case of The Lady of The Dunes. There were some leads over the years, and theories emerged as to the woman's identity. As advancements in DNA came about, those were used to try to identify the woman. It wasn't until 2022 that part of the mystery of The Lady of The Dunes was solved. She was officially identified as Ruth Marie Terry. With identification came very interesting leads into who her likely killer was.

Jared Bridegan was gunned down in the Jacksonville, Florida, area in February of 2022. His two-year-old daughter was left in the vehicle unharmed but is thought to have witnessed her father's murder. Jared was a father of four. He had two young daughters with his current wife, Kirsten, and twins with his ex-wife Shanna Gardner-Fernandez. Jared's divorce from Shanna and the subsequent custody battle was extremely contentious.

This arrest has led to much speculation that more arrests may soon be coming after it came out that Tenon had a connection to Shanna's husband. The police have not released many details, but it has not stopped people from theorizing that it is possible that Jared's murder was orchestrated by someone who, at one time, had been very close to him.

Sheree Warren left her job in Salt Lake City on a mild October evening in 1985. She told a coworker she was headed to meet her estranged husband, Charles Warren, at a car dealership. But she never made it, Sheree vanished. When her Page 2 of 2 car mysteriously surfaced weeks later, hundreds of miles away in Las Vegas, no one could say how it got there.

A series of disturbing & frightening phone calls targeted dozens of businesses and people over an extended period of time. These calls were placed all over the country, and the person on the other end posed as a law enforcement official. What this caller instructed people to do to others was not only wrong and humiliating, it was, in many instances, criminal on the part of both the caller and the person who answered the phone.

He often targeted fast-food restaurants and told managers that one of their employees, and sometimes even customers, had stolen. Ana Walshe vanished on Jan 1st, 2023, and her husband, Brian Walshe, is currently awaiting trial for her murder. Brian and Ana rang in the new year with a small celebration at their house. In December 1998, Julie Jensen was murdered in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. After an investigation by police, Julie's husband, Mark Jensen, was identified as the prime suspect. He was charged with murdering Julie by poisoning her with antifreeze and then smothering her. He was convicted of the murder in 2008.

One of the biggest indicators of guilt, according to jurors, was something Julie had written and given to a neighbor before her death. It said that if anything happened to her, look at her husband, Mark. But many years have passed, and her letter has been ruled inadmissible. Will this jury see things the same way as the jury did in 2008?

Steven Koecher disappeared near Las Vegas, Nevada, in December 2009. Steven's 2003 Chevy Cavalier was found parked on a cul-de-sac in a planned development called Sun City. The homeowner's association noticed the car had been there for some time, saw flyers for a window washing service, and called the number. It turned out that Steven worked for the service in St. George, Utah, 120 miles away.

12-year-old Shanda Sharer was murdered in 1992. The details of her murder shocked the area. Michael Griffey was murdered at the end of December 2005. He was found in the garage on January 2nd after a New Year's Eve celebration had occurred at the house. Michael and his wife Diane were married for 20 years and had three children, but they were essentially living separate lives. On December 22nd, 1981, 19-year-old Rhonda Annette Hinson headed to an office Christmas party. In the early morning of the 23rd, she was found about a half mile from her home lying outside her car on the should of the road. The police determined that Rhonda had been shot by a high-powered rifle that went through her trunk, back seat, and into the driver's seat.

The police looked closely at Rhonda's boyfriend, Greg, and a friend named Mark, whose girlfriend said she saw Rhonda's sweater in his car before Rhonda was killed. On October 27th, 2020, 63-year-old Gary Mansfield was arrested on drug charges in Spring Hill, Florida. As he was being led to a police car, Gary Mansfield reportedly told authorities about multiple bodies buried on the property that he claimed his brother, Billy Mansfield Jr, had buried there.

On January 1, 2008, Yaser Said murdered his two teenage daughters, Sarah and Amina, in Texas. He would later say that he was upset that his daughters were dating American boys and that they were becoming too westernized. Yaser escaped capture with the help of family members but was eventually apprehended and held responsible for his crimes.

His wife Patricia left the home with the children on multiple occasions, but she later said that Yaser threatened to kill her family if she didn't return. Around noon on November 13th, 2022, first responders found four victims in a home at the University of Idaho. They were identified as 20-year-old Ethan Chapin, 21-year-old Madison Mogen, 20-year-old Xana Kernodle, and 21-year-old Kaylee Goncalves. Madison, Kaylee, and Xana lived in the home, and Ethan, Xana’s boyfriend, had stayed over at their house for the night. The 4 victims were students at the University of Idaho.

Instead, the 4 college students had been brutally stabbed to death, and the crime scene was brutal. On November 28th, 1969, college student Betsy Aardsma was murdered inside the library at Penn State University. Betsy had spent Thanksgiving with her boyfriend at his campus but had returned because she had an assignment she needed to finish. It was that assignment that took her to the library that fateful day.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the mysterious murder of Betsy Aardsma. Because of the holiday, the library was not as crowded as it would have been on most days. But, there were still a good number of people inside the building. Betsy was killed in a library section known as "the stacks" due to the extremely narrow rows. Witnesses heard a crash, a young man yelling, and then saw him rush out of the library. Investigators worked hard to solve Betsy's murder but have yet to do so. But, there are a number of suspects that people have pointed to over the years.

In 1956, Angelo LaMarca abducted Peter Weinberger and left a ransom note for the baby's parents. A cat-and-mouse game with the Weinbergers and the police ensued while 1-month-old Peter's life hung in the balance. Multiple ransom demands were made, but the drops were never picked up.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss this case from the 1950s. The Weinbergers weren't famous or rich, so in that way, this kidnapping differed greatly from the infamous Lindbergh kidnapping case. But, there were some similarities as well. The hunt for the abductor relied heavily on handwriting analysis. When the truth came out, people were horrified to learn the true details and the motive behind the abduction. LaMarca's actions devastated two families.

Ed Kemper is a notorious serial killer who was given many different monikers. The Co-ed Butcher, the Ogre of Aptos, and the most well-known, the Co-ed Killer, are all names that have been assigned to Kemper. Ed Kemper had a troubled childhood, and over the years, he developed an intense hatred toward his mother. This hatred seems to be the driving factor in many of his crimes.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the infamous Ed Kemper. Ed killed his grandparents at a young age and was released when he was 21 years old. At 6'9", he was a very imposing figure. But, he managed to coax many young women into his car under the guise of giving them a ride. He murdered and dismembered many young women, and then he turned on his mother and one of her friends. The murders were shocking, but it's what Ed Kemper did with the bodies that made his crimes even more bizarre.

On May 16th, 1986, the small town of Cokeville, Wyoming, experienced a bombing at the Cokeville elementary school. That day, husband and wife David and Doris Young entered the school with guns and a homemade bomb. The bomb eventually detonated, and in what many call the Cokeville miracle, not a single student or member of the faculty was killed.

And over the years, he developed some very strange ideas and began to associate with some different hate groups. He walked into the school that day, intent on killing everyone inside. On November 2nd, 2016, Keith Papini of Redding, CA, called 911 to report his 34-year-old wife, Sherri Papini missing. 22 days later, Sherri was found walking along a highway. Her hair was cut short, she was very thin, and she had metal bindings on both her hands and feet. The police believed Sherri's story of what happened, but many in the public were highly suspicious.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the disappearance and return of Sherri Papini. The police worked hard to find Sherri, and then after she returned, they worked to find her captors. Sherri told the police that a group of Hispanic women had abducted her, and one had set her free. But, as the police began to dig, they revealed holes in Sherri's story, and eventually, her story completely unraveled. Just exactly what happened to Sherri Papini?

In September 2022, 59-year-old Debbie Collier disappeared. The police were able to track her rental van and found her remains pretty quickly. But, the scene was mysterious, and the authorities so far have been working hard to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss this bizarre and currently evolving case. Debbie was seen on surveillance footage at a store more than 70 miles away from her home. The authorities discovered a mysterious Venmo transaction from Debbie to her daughter Amanda that included an extremely cryptic message. Police have ruled out suicide and have said publicly that there is no serial killer involvement. Some members of Debbie's family have come under scrutiny online. This is a case that needs to be monitored closely to find out what police know as additional details are revealed.

John Mike Crites, or Mike as he was known by, was living in his dream location on an 80 acre property in Birdseye, Montana, just outside of Helena, Montana. But, the dream turned into a nightmare when a series of property disputes began occurring with multiple neighbors. Then, in 2011, Mike suddenly vanished with out a trace and his friends and family began searching for him. Later that year, someone found remains in two trash bags that turned out to be Mike Crites.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the murder of John Mike Crites. Mike had made a number of enemies over the years during these land disputes. But, he had some people on his side as well. It seemed as though every neighbor who owned land around the area took up sides. The police looked at everyone who had run-ins with Mike, some of them armed confrontations. One man in particular stood out to them and they worked hard to put together a case against him.

Lynette Dawson disappeared in Australia in 1982. Her husband Chris came under suspicion, but the authorities couldn't put together enough evidence against him to charge him and take him to trial. Damaging information came out about Chris Dawson over the years. His relationship with Lynette was extremely troubled, and through his role as a physical education teacher, he groomed a young female student.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the disappearance of Lynette Dawson. Though Lynette's body has never been found, the police did finally charge Chris with Lynette's murder. Without Lynette's body, they would need a mountain of circumstantial evidence against Chris Dawson to get a conviction. The big question became would they have enough?

The water level of Lake Mead, near Las Vegas, Nevada, along with other lakes in the West and SouthWest US, has reached dangerously low levels. Some areas are experiencing a "megadrought," and it has been called the worst drought in the last 1,200 years. This situation is causing a serious issue for drinking water and hydroelectric power for those who rely on both from some of these bodies of water. The water levels in Lake Mead have also unearthed a number of bodies, including at least one that was found in a barrel.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the bodies that have recently surfaced in Lake Mead. Many are still unidentified, including one found inside a barrel. This one for sure is no accident because people just don't accidentally end up in a barrel. The fact that the body was found inside a barrel, and the proximity to Las Vegas, have led many to suspect that this was a murder committed by the mob. These discoveries are very recent, so it remains to be seen how many of these individuals were murdered or died by accident.

In 2009, the bodies of eleven women were unearthed in an area of Albuquerque, New Mexico, called the West Mesa. Many of the women were identified as missing persons who had been on the radar of police for many years. Detective Ida Lopez had long suspected that many of the women on her missing person's list would be found together, and she turned out to be correct. Many have theorized that a lone serial killer, who has been dubbed "The West Mesa Bone Collector", is responsible for this series of murders.

Is one person responsible for this series of murders, preying on women in the middle of the night and then burying their bodies in one location? From 1962 to 1964, the Boston Strangler terrorized the Boston area, praying mostly on older and vulnerable women. The police eventually connected the murders due to the signature methods that this predator used. Many of the women were strangled with a piece of their own clothing, and the killer tied a knot, and often a bow. 11 murders were eventually connected to the Boston Strangler. A man named Albert DeSalvo eventually confessed to all 11 of the murders. But did he actually commit them?

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the infamous killer who became known as the Boston Strangler. Albert DeSalvo was undoubtedly a bad man. He was in prison for other crimes when he confessed to being the Boston Strangler. His other crime sprees earned him the monikers of "The Measuring Man" and "The Green man." But many people did not believe that DeSalvo was the Boston Strangler even though he was able to provide a lot of information on the murders. A fellow inmate named George Nassar has been looked at by many as the real perpetrator. And some people believe not all 11 murders were committed by the same person. In recent years DNA has shed some light on Albert DeSalvo's connection to the murders. But, for many, quite a bit of mystery still surrounds this case.

Dorothy Davis died at the Fort Lewis Army base in Washington State in 1991. Her death was originally ruled a suicide because that's what the scene inside her bedroom suggested. But, as more pieces of the pictures came into focus, suspicion began falling squarely on the shoulders of Dorothy's husband, Corporal Christian Davis.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss Dorothy's death and the investigation that eventually led back to her husband. As authorities pieced everything together, they learned that Christian may have tried to kill Dorothy years earlier in a fire made to look like an accident. Crucial clues emerged, including the jacket Christian was wearing the night his wife died and a hazy 20-minute window of time that night. Suicide letters next to Dorothy turned out not to be what authorities they were, and the way that she was holding the gun was re-examined. It all led to one suspect, Dorothy's husband, Christian.

In 1970, a family hiking in Norway stumbled upon the burned body of a woman. Police had very little to work with to try to identify this woman. There were, however, items scattered around the woman's body that appeared to have been staged. Days later, investigators found more of the woman's belongings inside some suitcases at a railway station. The items inside the suitcases were also intriguing as it appeared that any type of identifiable information had been removed from the items.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the intrigue and mystery surrounding the unidentified Jane Doe who has become known as The Isdal Woman. Investigators discovered quite a bit of information about the woman's movements before her death, and they interviewed a number of people who had seen her. These individuals had some very interesting things to say about the woman. Entries written in code, multiple aliases, which all would have required a different passport, and a documented check fraud scheme have led to much speculation in this case. But, the question remains, who was The Isdal Woman, and how did she die?

In the 1970s and 1980s, Robert Hansen hunted women in the last frontier of Alaska. He lured women with offers of large amounts of money for sex. Once a woman got into a car with Robert Hansen, they were trapped. He even bought his own plane in order to transport women out into the wilderness of Alaska. All of this occurred while Hansen was operating a bakery and playing the role of a husband and father.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the notorious serial killer Robert Hansen. Hansen admitted to authorities that he would take women to secluded areas, like his cabin near the Knik River, a place you can only get to by boat or in a bush plane, and then let them go there in the wilderness. As they ran for their lives, naked and barefoot, he hunted them the same way that he was known for hunting animals. His confessions shocked even seasoned investigators.

In 1975, 2 sisters, 10-year-old Katherine Lyon and 12-year-old Sheila Lyon, disappeared in Wheaton, Maryland. The sisters had gone to the local mall to see the Easter decorations and eat lunch, but they never made it home. A number of people came forward to report that they had seen the two girls. One man even came forward, saying that he saw the sisters being abducted and put into a car. But, he later admitted that he was lying. There were fake ransom demands from people preying on the grief and agony that the parents were experiencing.

A number of suspects emerged over the years, including one man that the police dubbed "the tape recorder man" who had been seen with the sisters at the mall. It took many decades, but the police finally zeroed in on a man who crossed their path early in the investigation. And it was this man, Lloyd Welch, that turned about to be the culprit behind what happened to the Lyon sisters.

In this episode, we're discussing two different cases, the disappearances of Monique Daniels and Jhessye Shockley. Both are very similar cases but with very different outcomes. Monique Daniels, a 15-year-old from Moore, Oklahoma, disappeared in 1992. In 2011 5-year-old Jhessye Shockley disappeared from Arizona. The parents of both victims were charged and convicted on child abuse charges.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss these two cases. In both, suspicion was cast on a parent and/or stepparent, and siblings told the authorities very damaging information. But, only in the case of Jhessye Shockley was a murder conviction obtained. Even though many people believe that the mother and stepfather of Monique Daniels were involved somehow in her disappearance, to date, neither has been charged with murder.

The circumstances surrounding the 2004 disappearance of 5-year-old Tamra Keepness are extremely mysterious. Tamra disappeared from her home in Saskatchewan, Canada, while her three siblings and two half-siblings were in the house. The timing of events has been debated based on the facts that various people in Tamra's life have given.

Tamra's mother Lorena, Lorena's boyfriend Dean, and a man named Russell Sheepskin, who was living at the home, all have their accounts of the events of that night. All three had been drinking, and for a period of time, the children were alone in the home. Despite a massive search, no evidence of what happened to her has been uncovered. This is a case that, as many do, comes down to who you believe and the plausibility of certain statements that have been made by the people involved in Tamra's life.

Clark Perry Baldwin is a man who has been linked to a number of murders in different states. In this episode, we are discussing a number of murders that are solved, but we have no idea who the victims are, while others remain unsolved. One common thread in these cases is DNA, forensic genealogy, and the potential for that technology to finally close out some of these cases and others. But there’s another common thread connecting some of these cases, and that is a man named Clark Perry Baldwin.

On February 19th, 2005, 35-year-old Richard Petrone and 34-year-old Danielle Imbo went out on a casual night out on South Street in Philadelphia PA, and on the way back to Danielle’s home in Mt Laurel, NJ they vanished, and have never been seen since. There have been many theories and a lot of speculation about what happened to the pair but to date, the authorities have not been able to solve the mystery.

The Pillowcase Rapist was a moniker given to a man who committed over 40 violent assaults on the East coast of Florida from 1981 to 1986. This individual was extremely cunning and cautious and staked out apartments that were well hidden from view. He crept inside the residences of unsuspecting women, usually by climbing through open windows or simply opening sliding glass doors that had been left unlocked and would scale balconies to get to higher units. Both men were good at avoiding the law. The police had trouble finding out who The Pillowcase Rapist was. Thankfully, a crime scene technician did an excellent job preserving some evidence in the days before DNA was used. In 2020, a DNA link was made to a man named Robert Eugene Koehler and he was arrested as The Pillowcase Rapist. He has not yet faced a jury of his peers but, the authorities seem pretty confident in the evidence they have against him.

On May 4, 2001, Bonny Lee Bakley was found fatally shot in a car on a dark North Hollywood street. The prime suspect was her husband, famed actor Robert Blake. In July 2021, 40-year-old Katie Janness was murdered in Atlanta's Piedmont Park. Her partner, Emma Clark, found Katie's body along with their dog Bowie just inside the park and called 911. The murder was extremely brutal and included mutilation which has led some to believe Katie's killer was known to her. The aspects of the murder have led to much speculation by the public.

Recently, people across the nation were taken with the story of escaped inmate Casey White and his accomplice, decorated corrections officer Vicky White. 17-year-old Brittanee Drexel, disappeared from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 2009. She remained missing for 13 years, until in May 2022, when her body was found. 62-year-old Raymond Moody led the police to Brittanee's body and confessed to her murder. Moody was on police radar but they couldn't put anything solid together against him.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the disappearance of Brittanee Drexel. Brittanee lied to her mother so that she could go on a trip to Myrtle Beach with some other teenagers. When Brittanee stopped picking up the phone, her boyfriend got worried and told Brittanee's mother Dawn the truth. Dawn frantically began the search for her daughter, moving to South Carolina over the years. Police couldn't solve the case until Raymond Moody came forward. But, many questions remain. Why did he confess to the crime and lead authorities to Brittanee's body? Moody has not had his day in court, so it's possible that the answers to some questions will come out later.

Rebecca Coriam, a crew member aboard the cruise ship, the Disney Wonder, vanished in 2011 and has never been found. 24-year-old Rebbeca or "Becks", as she was known to friends and family, disappeared on March 22nd, 2011. From the very beginning, the investigation seemed lacking including jurisdictional disputes on who should lead the investigation.

But not a single camera captured what happened to her. A search ensued but no sign of her was found. The body of wife and mother Orsolya Gaal was in April 2022 inside a rolling hockey bag in New York City. This case has received a lot of media attention due to video footage that showed a man rolling the bag down the street. Police discovered a trail of blood from the bag's location that led directly back to Orsolya's home. Inside they found a very bloody crime scene.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the murder of Orsolya Gaal. It didn't take the authorities long to focus on a man named David Bonola. Bonola was a handyman who had done work at the Gaal home. It also came out that Orsolya and David had some sort of relationship. He has reportedly said that he killed Orsolya because she refused to see him anymore but has also made statements that point to other motives. Bonola has been charged with 13 counts including murder but has not yet gone to trial.

The I65 killer, sometimes referred to as the Days Inn Killer, was given those names because he targeted victims that worked at hotels along Interstate 65 in Indiana and Kentucky between 1987 and 1989. The cases took many years to be solved and were done so through the use of forensic genetic genealogy.

And it wasn't until 2022 that the police announced they had identified the killer Harry Edward Greenwell. The good news was that the cases had been solved and the killer identified. The bad news was that Greenwell had died nine years earlier so he would never face the justice that he deserved.

In 1997, 20-year-old Keith Mann disappeared in Wichita Falls, Texas after being dropped off at his apartment by some friends. Keith was just really starting his life and things were going well. He was in love with a girl named Carrie and they were going to share the apartment. He also had a good job at a local car dealership. Carrie had just finished up school and was getting set to join Keith in their apartment.

In September 1988, 19-year-old Tara Calico disappeared from Belen, New Mexico. Police suspected foul play as did Tara's family. The authorities did find some witnesses who saw Tara riding her bike as well as a suspicious truck that they thought may have been following her.

In 1973, a group of 5 teenagers was attacked and four of them killed in Iowa in a case dubbed The Gitchie Manitou Murders. Gitchie Manitou State Preserve in Northwestern Iowa was a place where kids would go to hang out and have fun. But, in 1973, Stewart Baade, Dana Baade, Roger Essem, Michael Hadrath, and Sandra Cheskey faced three brothers who were bent on destruction.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the Gitchie Manitou Murders. Brothers Allen, David, and James Freyer encountered the group on a November night. This encounter ended with the brothers shooting and killing Stewart, Dana, Roger, and Michael and abducting Sandra. 14-year-old Andrew Gosden disappeared in England in 2007. He skipped school that day, nearly emptied his bank account, and bought a ticket on a train to London. His parents discovered he was gone later that day and contacted the police. The authorities were able to find CCTV footage of Andrew and found some witnesses who encountered him that day. But, no good leads were developed and Andrew's case went cold. They just could not figure out what his plans had been on that day.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the disappearance of Andrew Gosden. Early in 2022, nearly 15 years after he disappeared, there was some movement in Andrew's case. Arrests were made of two men in connection with Andrew's disappearance. But, because of British privacy laws, we don't know exactly what police have that connects them to Andrew's case. Both men have been charged with kidnapping and human trafficking while one of the men was found to have child pornography on his computer. The police have not released too many details so it's a case to keep a close eye on.

In 2013, three women were rescued from a house of horrors in Cleveland, Ohio. Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry, and Georgina DeJesus were rescued from a house where they had been held captive for years by a man named Aeriel Castro. Also rescued was a young girl named Jocelyn who turned out to be Amanda Berry's daughter, fathered by Castro during his reign of terror.

In 1996, four German tourists, two adults, and two children disappeared in California's Death Valley. Investigators found a rented minivan with three flat tires but no sign of anyone. The rented car was quickly traced to German tourist 34-year-old Egbert Rikmus. Traveling with Egbert was his 11-year-old son Georg, his 28-year-old girlfriend Cornelia, and Cornelia's four-year-old son Max. Investigators worked hard to search for the four tourists and to track their movements in the United States. But, they were unable to find the group.

Many years went passed without any luck in finding the tourists. But, one man, Tom Mahood, was fascinated with the case and just couldn't let it go. In 2012, ten-year-old Lyric Cook and eight-year-old Elizabeth Collins disappeared while riding their bikes on their summer vacation. An extensive search began quickly to find the two missing girls. But, even though the authorities found some witnesses and CCTV footage that caught the girls on video, they only managed to find the girls' missing bikes. Sadly, the bodies of the two young girls were found almost five months after they vanished.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the disappearance and murders of Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins. Some members of their family came under scrutiny for activities that they were involved in. Police even said that some family members were uncooperative. This case has some parallels with the murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German in Delphi, Indiana. On July 22nd, 2015, dispatchers in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma received a 911 call. The call itself is chilling and it led authorities to the murders of five members of the Bever family. The scene inside the Bever home was shocking. The news that the murders had been committed by two of the Bever boys was also shocking. Two of their sisters survived the attack and one sister was able to tell authorities just who had committed the murders.

In August 2010, 20-year-old Amber Tuccaro disappeared near Edmonton, Canada. Her remains were later found by horseback riders in a field on a farm in a very rural area of Leduc County. The RCMP released audio of a phone call that recorded Amber talking with an unknown male, apparently as a passenger in this man's car. But, the authorities have only released about one minute of what is known to be about a 17-minute recording. Authorities eventually came out and said they believe Amber was murdered and many people have speculated that the determination is based on something found on that portion of unreleased audio.

In 1959, Candice Rogers was abducted and murdered while selling Camp Fire Girls mints door to door. At the time, Candice was in the fourth grade and lived in Spokane, Washington. Her murder shocked the city and forever changed the amount of freedom that children in the area were allowed.

26-year-old Brandon Lawson disappeared from Texas in 2013. Brandon left home after a fight with his partner Ladessa to make a 4-hour drive to his dad's house to cool off. Along the way, Brandon ran out of gas and a number of strange things occurred. Brandon made some mysterious phone calls. He called 911 and also called his brother Kyle. Some of these calls were frantic and Brandon even suggested that someone was after him.

The calls he made, however, made some think that he was on drugs the night he disappeared. Many searches were done trying to find Brandon but they all found nothing. But, a break occurred just this month in this well-known missing person case. Remains were found that are believed to be those of Brandon Lawson. DNA testing will conclusively prove whether the remains are Brandon but his family is confident that they are based on the evidence found near his remains.

Bonnie Haim disappeared in 1993 and her husband Michael was a suspect for many years. People in Bonnie's inner circle knew that the marriage was bad and that she was making plans to get out. When Bonnie disappeared, police suspected Michael but they couldn't put enough evidence together to charge him. They couldn't find Bonnie but the circumstances around her disappearance made most think she had not left voluntarily.

In 1986, 19-year-old Keith Warren was found hanging from a tree in Silver Spring, Maryland, and the police quickly ruled it a suicide. Keith's family didn't believe that he had taken his own life. They found the actions of the police suspicious. This included sending Keith's body to a funeral home and having him embalmed without giving the family any type of notice.

Just after Christmas in 1993, Latricia White was found murdered and her boyfriend Dub Wackerhagen and his son Chance went missing. Police encountered a very bloody scene including what appeared to be a footprint in blood they believed belonged to Chance. But, they have very few clues with which to work.

In 1979, 16-year-old Kim Bryant was abducted and murdered on her way home from school in Las Vegas, Nevada. She called her boyfriend to come to pick her up, but when he arrived Kim was gone. Several factors delayed the search for Kim. Someone found her backpack but didn't know she was missing. Her boyfriend didn't come forward for days. The police believed she was a runaway. They also had a lot on their plate as Las Vegas was experiencing a high number of unsolved murders.

There were some eyewitnesses who saw some men in a vehicle talking to Kim. Larry Sarvey, the general manager of the Atchison Daily Globe newspaper was murdered in 1989. Larry was shot in the head twice with a 12-gauge shotgun inside his Kansas home. But, police had very little to go on besides some screens on the home that had been cut in an apparent effort to gain entry. There was no sign of a struggle inside the house.

In 2014, the Broaddus family encountered a nightmare after buying what they thought was their dream home in Westfield New Jersey. It was a home that they never even moved into. Shortly after buying the home, a mysterious letter appeared in the mailbox. Its tone was extremely ominous and it was signed by someone calling themselves The Watcher.

In 2010, Joseph and Summer McStay and their two young children vanished in California. The police had trouble figuring out exactly what happened to the family of four. Over the years, many theories were floated including that a grainy video showed the family fleeing to Mexico. Many theories revolved around Summer having something to do with Joseph's murder and then taking off with the children. But, when the bodies of the family were found years later, those theories were dispelled. In the end, the police pieced together that one of Joseph's business associates was involved.

16-year-old Karlie Guse disappeared from her Chalfant, CA home in October 2018. She had just moved in with her father and stepmother a couple of months prior to her disappearance. Karlie's stepmother, Melissa Guse, claims that she woke up to find Karlie gone early on October 13th. But, she has told differing stories to different outlets leading many, including Karlie's mother, Lindsay, to suspect that there is more to the story.

On February 10th, 1990, two men entered the Las Cruces Bowl, a family-run bowling alley, and held everyone inside the building at gunpoint. The two men stole some cash, shot all seven people inside the building, including young children, and then set the place on fire. 12-year-old Melissa Repass was able to call 911, even though she had been shot multiple times, and give the authorities vital information. Her courage was amazing in the face of the pain and fear she must have been experiencing during that time.

The two perpetrators most likely hid potential evidence when they set the bowling alley on fire. People have had trouble developing a motive and the case has been unsolved for over 30 years. Were they looking for something else or using robbery to mislead police as to the true reason for the murders? On July 3, 2014, 15-year-old Megan Nichols disappeared from her Fairfield, Illinois home. Megan was dating an 18-year-old named Brodey Murbarger, and the relationship had caused a rift between Megan and her mother. There were a few cryptic clues left behind at the home, one was Megan's cell phone which had been completely wiped. Another was a note that Megan had written that contained very strange word choices and phrasing.

In 1960, three young people, Maila Bjorklund, Anja Tuulikki Maki, and Seppo Boisman were murdered in Finland while they were camping. A fourth person, Nils Gustafsson, who was with the group was injured but survived, and later became a suspect. This is one of Finland's most infamous unsolved murder cases. It rocked the country at the time it occurred and some people are still wary, to this day, about camping because of the stories that have been told over the years.

In 2011, Florida teenager Tyler Hadley killed his parents and then held a massive party at his house. Many people, including Tyler, called it the party of a lifetime. In 1973 two teachers were murdered, one in New York City, and the other in Indiana. While both murders were extremely brutal, they were covered very differently. A Catholic school teacher named Roseann Quinn was murdered in New York City. Her murder became the basis for the book, "Looking for Mr. Goodbar" and later a movie by the same name. 26-year-old Ann Kline was a mathematics professor who was murdered in Evansville, Indiana.

On August 30th, 2019, the body of Autumn Lee Stone was found in Green Lake in Seattle, Washington. She was found by a man paddleboarding who thought at first that she was a turtle in the water. When the police pulled Autumn's body out of the water, they found her shoelaces tied together around her neck. Within just an hour of Autumn's body being found police said there was no foul play and told journalists that Autumn had taken her own life.

Manuel Gehring was a man who was not happy with his life. He had a hard time holding down a job. He wasn't happy that his marriage to his wife Teri had ended and that she had found and married another man. In 1958, 10-year-old Bobby Bizup went missing while at a Catholic summer camp in Boulder County, Colorado. It was assumed he had wandered off and searchers would find him quickly, but, that didn't happen. Parts of Bobby's remains were later found as were bits of his clothing. Some were found 3 miles up Mount Meeker. Bobby's skull was never found. Investigators determined that Bobby most likely died of exposure to the elements. But, there were conflicting reports about Bobby's activities leading up to his disappearance. There were also some strange sightings of Bobby reported in locations as far as 15 miles away from the camp.

The town of Speedway, Indiana is known for racing with the Indianapolis Speedway being a huge attraction. But, in 1978, Speedway gained attention for a number of high-profile crimes. In September of that year, a serial bomber terrorized the area by detonating eight separate bombs. A month after the bombings, the murder of four young Burger Chef employees rocked the area. Known as the Burger Chef murders, Jayne Friedt, Daniel Davis, Mark Flemmonds, and Ruth Shelton were murder as they were closing up the restaurant.

Christy Crystal Creek was the name given to an unidentified female murder victim found near the town of Bonner in Missoula County, Missouri in 1985. She was named after the road near where she was found. Investigators had very little to work with in trying to identify her and went down a lot of avenues that turned out to be incorrect. A number of varying models and composites hindered the identification efforts.

It took investigators 36 years, and the help of advancements in DNA, to make the announcement that Christy Crystal Creek was actually Janet Lee Lucas. All efforts then switched to trying to identify Janet's murderer. Police had no idea why Janet was in Montana or even how she got there. But, one name kept popping up in the investigation, suspected serial killer Wayne Nance.

Baby Hope was the name given to a four-year-old little girl found dead in a cooler near the Henry Hudson Parkway. Baby Hope's body was found by construction workers in Manhattan, New York, in 1991. Authorities found witnesses but were unable to figure out who Baby Hope was or what exactly had happened to her. It wasn't until 2013 that police caught a break in the case and the pieces started to fall into place.

As they unraveled the mystery of her identity, they also zeroed in a suspect in her murder. It turned out that Baby Hope was victimized by relatives, the very people that should be there to help keep a little girl like Anjelica safe.

In 2019, Canadian teenagers Bryer Schmegelsky and Kam McLeod embarked on a deadly crime spree. They told their families that they were headed to the Yukon territory to look for work. But, after stopping to buy a semi-automatic rifle, they started their killing spree. Their victims were selected at random and included a young couple whose van broke down on a road trip to Alaska and a botany professor and husband in his sixties.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss these two Canadian killers. It later surfaced that they had been thinking about murder. At first, the authorities believed they were in danger. But, as more information surfaced, it became clear that they were the killers and one of the largest manhunts in Canadian history began. Authorities were shocked when they finally caught up with the teenagers.

In 1987, the small town of Ina, Illinois was rocked by the senseless and brutal murders of the Dardeen family. When 29-year-old Keith Dardeen failed to show up for work, his parents called the police. The police made a shocking discovery at the Dardeen home. Keith's wife Elaine, who was seven months pregnant, and their 3-year-old son Peter were found bludgeoned to death. Elaine delivered a baby girl during the attack and police found the infant deceased as well.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss this infamous case out of the Midwest. Keith was nowhere to be found and he was initially thought of as a suspect in the murders by police. That thought disappeared, however, when Keith's body was found in a field not far from the home. He had been shot in the head and his genitals had been mutilated. Police scrambled to try to figure out who could have committed these heinous murders. One serial killer took credit but police don't believe he had anything to do with the case. But who did?

In Nevada, Interstate 80 runs through stretches of desert. The desert can be a very unforgiving place with temperature swings and dangers that await those who venture through it. There have been a large number of unexplained disappearances and deaths along a certain stretch of I-80. Pumpernickel Valley's Exit 205 is extremely interesting because it leads to nowhere. But, there have been some very mysterious disappearances that appear to have occurred at this exit.

In 1976, residents of Circleville, Ohio began receiving obscene and threatening letters that contained details and rumors regarding some of the residents in town. For residents of Circleville, it wasn’t a serial killer that shattered their sense of safety and neighborly closeness. It was a serial writer - a writer who by the time he or she was done, had sent over 1000 letters targeting many of Circleville’s residents, but seemingly targeting one resident more than the rest. 

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the mysterious and fascinating case of the Circleville writer. One man, Paul Freshour, was convicted of attempted murder and sent off to prison. It was thought that he was the Circleville writer, and handwriting analysis of some of the letters seemed to back that up. But, people continued receiving letters after Paul went to prison, something that the warden insists was impossible. Who was the original writer of the letters and just how many writers were there. One man died under mysterious circumstances. And, a woman who seemingly was the focus of early letters was seen as a target. How much misdirection was there in this case and did one or more persons conspire to frame Paul Freshour.

High school senior Holly Branagan was murdered inside her Bethlehem, Pennsylvania home on March 28, 1979. She was brutally stabbed to death in a horrific manner, but, her murder case was overshadowed by the partial meltdown that same day at Three Mile Island. The police pieced together the timeline of Holly's murder through phone calls that she made that day. But, they have been unable to catch her killer.

The two-story home had a strange layout and it was very secluded and sat away from the road. There were no signs of a sexual assault and this teenager didn't have to seem to have any enemies, so, developing a motive has been difficult. The one thing that seemed to be true is that, from the manner of the stab wounds, this murder appeared to be very personal. But, the question still remains over 40 years later, who killed Holly Branagan?

In 2018, an unidentified hiker, which many began called Mostly Harmless, was found in Florida and what followed was a search for his identity. It was discovered that the hiker had been traveling the Appalachian Trail. People began to come forward with information about their encounters with Mostly Harmless after the story took hold on social media and people around the world started working on the mystery.

It took a lot of work by law enforcement, journalists, and amateur online detectives to help solve the question of the man's identity. In 1982, 29-year-old Barbara Jo Oberholtzer and 21-year-old Annette Kay Schnee were both last seen in the town of Breckinridge, Colorado. Both were found murdered and their cases were linked by a pair of orange socks. A matching orange sock was found on or near each of the murdered women's bodies.

It took advancements in the area of forensic genetic genealogy to match DNA to a suspect. Alan Lee Phillips was arrested earlier this year and has been charged with both murders.

Between 2005 and 2009, 8 women were found murdered in Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana. There were eight women from Jennings, Louisiana who were murdered in those four years and they are referred to collectively as "The Jennings 8” or "The Jeff Davis 8.” 14 agencies from the federal level down to the local level worked together to hunt a serial killer operating in Jefferson Davis Parish.

The Tiede family spent quality family time each year at their cabin in Oakley, Utah. Rolf and Kay Tiede had two daughters, Linae and Tricia, and a son named Shaun. In December 1990, The Tiede family went to their cabin and were joined by Kaye's mother, Beth Potts, and a number of other family members.

On January 21, 1998, 12-year-old Stephanie Crowe was found dead in her bedroom. She had been fatally stabbed multiple times while her family slept. Multiple people would eventually be charged with her murder, including members of Stephanie's own family.

In August 1976, two bodies, one male and one female, were found off the side of the road east of Sumter, South Carolina. Neither of the bodies had any identification with them. Police determined that both individuals had been shot to death. They had very little evidence to use to solve the two most crucial questions in this case. 31-year-old Blair Adam's death in July of 1996 is as mysterious as a case can get. It has baffled investigators and fueled speculation by online sleuths for years. Much of this has to do with Blair's erratic behavior during the time before his death. He had mentioned to a number of people that he was afraid of something or someone. His movements from his home in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada to Knoxville, Tennessee, where his body was found, are perplexing.

Samuel Little may very well be the most prolific serial killer in the history of the United States. His murder claims have reached triple digits, but, unlike a lot of serial killers, the FBI has been able to substantiate a large number of claims. He selected his victims carefully, preying on women who he believed didn't have many people in their lives who would come looking for them.

On Valentine's day, Feb 14, 2000, 9-year-old Asha Degree vanished. The circumstances around her disappearance are extremely mysterious. It seemed as though this little girl walked away from her North Carolina home in the dark in the early morning hours, never to come home.

On Dec. 6, 2014, in Courland, MS, a horrible murder occurred. First responders were called out to a scene that they thought was just a car fire. But, then they found 19-year-old Jessica Chambers who had severe burns on over 90% of her body. Emergency personnel tried to get information from Jessica on what happened to her but she could barely speak and she died later at the hospital.

That trial has yet to occur and it remains to be seen whether Mississippi will try him a third time.

In the fall of October 2002, a series of seemingly random shootings occurred in and around Washington, D.C. The country was still reeling from the events of September 11, 2001, and these shootings were terrifying. The authorities figured out the shootings extended to multiple states. They eventually identified the snipers as 41-year-old John Allen Muhammad and 17-year-old Lee Boyd Malvo.

24-year-old Jennifer Kesse vanished without a trace from her Orlando, Florida condo in January 2006. Her case made national headlines and received extensive media coverage. Despite a massive search, Jennifer Kesse has never been found.

Between 2003 and 2009, ten women disappeared from the Rocky Mount area. Nine of them were found murdered in wooded areas near Seven Bridges Road, just outside of town. One woman remains missing to this day. All of the female victims were black and had a history of drugs and prostitution. Because of this, many people have said that the police didn't investigate the murders as hard, and, the media didn't provide much coverage.

1974 was a tragic year for the city of Fort Worth, Texas. We detailed the disappearance and murder of Carla Walker in our last episode. Later that year, three young females, Rachel Trlica, Renee Wilson, and Julie Moseley went missing after a shopping trip.

In February 1974, 17-year-old Carla Walker was abducted in front of her boyfriend from a bowling alley parking lot and found dead in a ditch four days later. Her brutal rape and murder shocked her Texas community, and cast a cloud of suspicion on her boyfriend.

In February 1957, a college student found a little boy's body inside a cardboard box in a field in Philadelphia. The find shocked and caused fear in residents. And, despite a very extensive and long investigation, the boy's identity and the circumstances surrounding his death remain unsolved.

In September 2012, 19-year-old college student Faith Hedgepeth was brutally murdered inside her friend's apartment in Durham, NC. A hateful note was left at the brutal scene, scrawled on a fast-food bag Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the brutal unsolved murder of Faith Hedgepeth. Faith's friend made a 911 call that has been dissected by many and some have called her demeanor unusual. In this episode, we're discussing three cases where victims were found in septic tanks. In 1977, an unidentified male was found in a septic tank in Tofield, Alberta. He was given the moniker of "Septic Tank Sam". Cam Lyman disappeared in 1987 from Hopkinton, Rhode Island leaving behind a lot of money and a suspicious trusted associate. Cam's body was found 10 years later. In 1978, five Louisiana teens disappeared in what appeared to be a series of kidnappings.

Between 1971 and 1973, Rochester, New York, was shocked to its core when three little girls were brutally raped and murdered. Residents there noted that the first name and surname of each girl started with the same initial, and the killings became known as "The Alphabet Murders" or "The Double Initial Murders."

Camp Scott in Locust Grove, Oklahoma had been a camp for Girl Scouts since 1928. In June 1977, the camp welcomed over 130 Girl Scouts and Brownies for its first two-week session. Tragedy struck when counselors discovered that three young girls from tent #8 had been brutally murdered.

In 1975, 19-year-old Lindy Sue Biechler was starting her life in full. She had a job that she loved and she had recently married the man of her dreams. But, on December 5, 1975, Lindy pulled out of the parking lot of her job at the same time as her friend, ran a few errands, and then headed home to her apartment. Lindy's aunt and uncle came to the apartment for a visit and found Lindy dead inside before 9:00 PM.

In April 2020, amid the coronavirus pandemic, a beautiful young soldier named Vanessa Guillen disappeared from the U.S. Army base, Fort Hood. Vanessa was found murdered two months later. But, while searching, authorities found the remains of another soldier named Gregory Morales.

The Osage Native American Murders were a string of murders of tribal members in Osage County, Oklahoma, between 1921 and 1926. This was a period of time known in that state as the "Reign of Terror." At least 60 wealthy full-blooded Osage Native Americans were murdered over land rights.

In 1986, a shootout took place in Miami, Florida between FBI agents and two bank robbers. Despite outnumbering the bank robbers, the FBI agents were seriously outgunned and suffered massive casualties.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss this infamous 1986 Miami FBI shootout. Two agents lost their lives and five others were wounded. In the aftermath of the shooting, officials had to examine what went wrong. The conclusion was that the agents, most of them carrying .38 caliber revolvers, were no match for the robbers, one who fired a large number of shots from a semi-automatic rifle. The shootout was a major factor in law enforcement officials around the country switching to more powerful weapons and more powerful cartridges.

In 1982, seven people in the Chicago area who took Tylenol capsules, for various illnesses, collapsed into a coma and died within minutes. After it was determined all had died from cyanide poisoning, detectives began the hunt for a sadistic killer. While one man remains a person of interest, the case is still unsolved nearly 38 years later.

In 1927, Charles Lindbergh gained extreme fame when he became the first pilot fly solo nonstop across the Atlantic Ocean. But as often happens, fame can bring about unwanted problems. In 1932, Lindbergh's son, Charles Jr, was kidnapped from the family home and later found dead in New Jersey.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the Lindbergh kidnapping that the press called the crime of the century. After much cloak and dagger, which included 13 ransom notes, the clues that police had gathered led them to a German immigrant named Bruno Richard Hauptmann. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, a predator operated in and around Melbourne, Australia. The pressed dubbed this man "Mr. Cruel." Mr. Cruel preyed on younger females around the area and eventually turned murderous. He was very cunning, left few clues, and stalked his victims to know when they would be home alone.

This was a predator who wore a scary mask, or balaclava, that was stitched around the eyes and mouth to give it a scary doll-like appearance. In 1966, Charles Whitman climbed the Tower at the University of Texas and began firing on the unsuspecting people below. This mass shooting on a college campus captivated and scared the nation. It would be discovered that Whitman had killed a number of people before he got to the tower, including his wife and his mother.

In 1979, Terry Chasteen and her three children were living a wonderful life in Indiana. Terry had a new love interest in her life and the two had discussed marriage. On April 28th, Terry loaded up the kids to take them to the babysitter before she went to work. They never made it. Their bodies were found in White Lick creek later that day.

Just after Thanksgiving, in 1988, six Kansas City, Missouri firefighters lost their lives while responding to a truck fire at a construction site. What they didn't know was that explosive materials, five times the amount used by Timothy McVeigh in the Oklahoma City bombing, were in containers on the site. The resulting explosion was devastating.

In 1975, several young women and teenage girls were found dead in or around canals in Broward and Dade counties in Florida. These murders shared very similar traits but the police were not convinced they were all connected. It turns out that they were correct.

In this episode, we're headed to Australia to discuss one of that country's most infamous unsolved child disappearances. 3-year-old William Tyrrell disappeared in September 2014, and the pictures of the precious little boy displayed on the media captured the hearts of people from around the world.

This led to William being removed from their care and placed with a wealthy foster couple who already had one daughter. It was on September 12, 2014, as the family was visiting the foster mom's mother that William disappeared. Searches were conducted and tips and leads poured in. The police have developed a number of potential suspects over the years but, to date, have not been able to solve the mystery.

Bobby Joe Long was a serial killer who terrorized the area around Tampa Bay, Florida in an eight-month period in 1984. During that timeframe, Long murdered at least 10 women and victimized many more.

In June 1992, Sherrill Levitt, Suzie Streeter, and Stacy McCall vanished from Springfield, Missouri. The three, and their disappearance case, would become known as The Springfield Three.

Bobby and Sherilyn Jamison, along with their young daughter Madyson, disappeared in Oklahoma in 2009. The family's pickup truck was found in a rural area with a lot of their personal belongings and a large sum of cash still inside. On a cell phone, police found a picture of young Madyson that people have debated for years.

In 1989, Joan Rogers, and her two daughters, Michelle and Christe, left their hometown in Ohio on a Florida vacation. They were packing in as much family fun as they could when they encountered a monster. On June 4th, boaters found the bodies of Joan, Michelle, and Christe.

For the 100th episode of Criminology, we're tackling two cases of murdered prosecutors that some people may be related.

Ray Gricar was a prosecutor in Pennsylvania who was murdered in 2005. Jonathan Luna was a federal prosecutor with the United States Attorney's office in Baltimore, Maryland who was killed in 2003. Both men were found in rural areas of central Pennsylvania.

The investigations into both of these murders revealed some very interesting information. But, police have not been able to prosecute a single person for either of the murders.

Questions are numerous in both cases. Were these cases connected in any way? Did either of these men have something to hide that ultimately factored into their deaths? Were their deaths related to their jobs as prosecutors who had put a number of really bad people in jail over the years that might want retribution?

Tina Marie Lauser's parents learned early in her childhood that she was deaf. Tina struggled in school, primarily because there were no schools in the early 60s specifically designed to help her. Tina graduated, got a job, and met her future husband at the Wilmington Club for the Deaf.

In January 1981, Tina left her job at the Bank of Delaware to drive to get something to eat on her lunch break. She never returned and the investigation into her disappearance was launched. Two months later, her body was found weighted down in a tributary of the Delaware Bay.

In 1990, Marlene Warren opened the front door of her Florida home to find someone dressed in a clown suit holding balloons and flowers. The clown pulled out a gun and shot Marlene to death. Marlene's son was home at the time and raced to the front door and saw both the clown running away and his mother lying in a pool of blood.

Marlene's husband Michael caught the attention of authorities after it was discovered he was having an affair with a woman named Sheila Keen.
